anyway ok so lets talk about ruby SPECIFICALLY in my good s6 au. this ruby concept is almost the same as @lesbiansamwinchester‘s ruby lives au but has some key differences, mainly ruby doesn’t redeem herself in s5. lucifer raises her in sympathy for the devil because she really was the best of those sons of bitches and she deserves it but she spends all of s5 conflicted in her loyalties because while she really DOES want lucifer to win she is also In Love With Sam, Unfortunately, and gets more and more uncomfortable with sam being lucifer’s vessel and shit. and then she finally betrays lucifer in like, two minutes to midnight or swan song and he IMMEDIATELY kills her (very important: lucifer must already be possessing sam when this happens). then she’s brought back like. face down in a ditch 300 miles away. that’s how ruby ends season five.

anyway watch this video to set the mood. ruby stuff in season six:

- so at FIRST she is actually running around with a ragtag group of lucifer loyalist demons led by meg. meg kind of hates her for betraying lucifer for sam but also you know sam’s dead and ruby won’t do it again and most importantly they need EVERY pair of hands on board for this. so ruby is kissing huge amounts of ass mostly meg’s, like, meg is making her wait on her hand and foot in an apron. it’s comically villain homoerotic. you know. like ruby serves meg tea in a maid outfit for no other reason then as like. ridiculous humiliation that’s also intensely, weirdly horny. like the lucifer crowley dog stuff in s11. actually meg literally makes ruby wear a dog collar with a little tag that says like, “ruby. if found, please call 666 and return to owner (meg).” i cannot stress enough that this is just STUPID horny for NO reason. you guys know what i mean. it’s basically sorority hazing but up to eleven because demons, and also forever. also meg makes ruby kiss her hand at least once. or like no she makes her kiss her boot. i am having too much fun i’ve gotten distracted.

- ruby finds out sam is alive and immediately ditches. like she just fucks off to nowhere and they can’t figure out where she went. anyway this samruby reunion takes place like, before the first episode definitely, maybe a few months.

- i do like @lesbiansamwinchester‘s thing where ruby tries very hard to be sam’s moral compass but also imo she fucks up, very bad, and a lot. and soulless sam can’t really catch her at it so they end up doing a lot of very fucked shit actually. but she tries very hard because she cares about sam and she wants him to think well of himself y’know. and she wants to be someone who sam would think was worth following.

- when sam and dean finally see each other again ruby is there and dean is like what the FUCK. like he did see that she betrayed lucifer for sam at the last minute but also he hates her and doesn’t trust her, and he actually kind of suspects that whatever’s wrong with sam might actually be HER fault.

- okay but i’ve decided that the cas/meg kiss DOES in fact happen in this au because i do kind of love it and also more importantly, with the addition of the insane meg being ruby’s shitty ex vibe that i am jamming into this au with both hands, it is just. chefkiss. ruby and dean look at each other in horror while sam is just like huh? i’m sorry but imagine being ruby and being forced to watch your horrible ex get kissed dommily by castiel. god this is funny i love this. again this is all in subtext because we are imagining cw censors and i’ve used up my one allotted gay kiss for the season by having anna make out with a random woman at an orgy to prove that all angels are degenerate pansexual hedonists, you know. (is this homophobic enough for the cw? i hope so!) also: an orgy which balthazar organized and cas refused to attend, to be clear.

- dean is actually garbage enough about the whole ruby thing that sam and ruby fuck off by themselves for a good while like, maybe three or four episodes, leaving dean alone or sometimes with cas. during this time dean gets a little bit involved with the angel revolutionaries.

- anyway when sam gets his soul back he’s like, torn, between dean and ruby. he feels guilty for how he behaved towards and thought about dean but he would ALSO feel guilty just kicking ruby to the curb.

- HOWEVER when he gets his soulless memories back he does kick her to the curb because she has done some REALLY fucked up shit while trying to be his moral compass like she is BAD at it.

- once ruby is left all alone in the world, guess who shows up in a flutter of wings and ambiguity! it’s anna!

- she is here to ask ruby if she wants to spy on hell for the angel revolution. ruby accepts because everyone else hates her right now. if anna wants to take her in under cas’ banner (and not tell the winchesters because they’re technically on the same side but what’s a little subterfuge between friends) ruby will take it.

- ruby and anna DO get to have some fun agent runner/agent lesbian subtext, as a treat! at least when anna isn’t busy eating food out of lisa braeden’s fridge like villanelle and other nuts things.

- like i do wanna be clear anna just. appears in lisa braeden’s kitchen, slowly, wordlessly eats her leftovers while staring her down, and then flies away. this contributes to lisa’s impending mental breakdown. MY season six is about the madness of the suburban housewife, among many other various things.

- also i want to be clear that raphael’s side is actually like, funneling weapons to the lucifer loyalist demons to try and get them to defeat crowley but it’s all very hush hush, like, raphael would NOT want his underlings to know that he has organized this, like, they can barely stand to work with naomi. the fact that raphael had naomi organize help for DEMONS is unthinkable. anyway it’s basically celestial iran-contra.

- ruby is actually one of the last people to stick by cas even when like, anna and balthazar are betraying him, because like. whomst among us has never wanted to become god a little. and also, ruby is weak to authority figures we KNOW this she might be down to accept cas as her heavenly father a little, she’s NOT a rebel. but most importantly she sticks by him because, you know, i love sam and he’s mad at me for kinda betraying him and you [REDACTED] dean and he’s mad at you for kinda betraying him like we’re all winchester derangement syndrome patients here, and also like. i get it. sometimes they don’t know what’s good for them. sometimes in order to love you have to betray a little bit.

- ruby doesn’t turn on cas until he breaks sam’s wall. but by then it’s too late and there’s nothing she can do really.

- the parallel where it was dean who stabbed ruby in lucifer rising and it’s sam who stabs cas in the man who knew too much is actually intentional this time and WAY more aggressive. actually there are tons of cas-ruby parallels. i think meg should call ruby a whore like one episode before crowley calls cas a whore just to hammer it home. i think the thing where soulless sam runs away from dean’s judgement and is running around with ruby while dean is sulking about it but also running around with cas is super aggressively obvious. god i love that ruby’s existence makes it super obvious that cas is dean’s [REDACTED]. that’s so fun.

I haven’t watched episode 8 yet...or have I? If it’s the most recent one. No.

Is the hornbill a bird? It probably is but I have a terrible memory and I’m dumb so. I skipped the last few weeks because I’m scawwed. How are you liking it? I did see someone say that the hornbill makes sense (without knowing what it is...at all) bc heart transplant patients only live like 5-15 years after but someone in those comments pointed out that he was so young when he got his and that’s pretty rare so he has a higher likelihood of survival. Frankly, this is the only way I will proceed. Since when did shows ever care about the heart transplant health? Never and it needs to stay that way!

sort of in the same vein re: taking it easy...we coudl all be more understanding too. to slow it down like you mentioned about not being privvy to fucking eveyrthing and saying anything on our mind. i saw this person talk about y2k which was a huge deal while happening bc it was the turn of the millenium (bruh were u even alive?) but this twitter user grew up in a super super SUPER religious household and was like why do ppl make jokes about Y2K it was insanely traumatizing? though my first instinct was confused ive tried hard to like look more before i judge especially thanks to a friend of mine. turns out that with the further reading the more we found out he was just really traumatized; it was very common in religious households to be afraid of 2000. so we could have come at him with no understanding and he could have thought that everyone had the same experience with that year that he did. his feelings sit precedent though but i think it was just very hard for him to fathom.

you make a really excellent point. i think the young young gen zers are really really just interesting because it’s like this whole new world for them with leftist politics and they just can’t grasp the horrors of the world and the kind of freedom being a leftist can bring. and so many people don’t grow out of it. those people so happen to be the “least productive” in terms of how much time they spend IRL withe these issues. naturally, younger kids are gonna have a harder time. they are not as mobile as well so the internet becomes this place. but then it’s this echo chamber. and many times just things posted without sources. and social media NEEDS that to exist.

jk also theres just different personalities. you and i mesh more bc we have a lot of the same beliefs and are coming from the same place. that makes it easier to understand as well. i really try to remember that but some people are really weird so. again just...the perception of certain things even down to acting skills. but i also dont like.......believe this genre can really do anything at all. on one hand i want them to do it right bc it’s a piece of work so they should. be proud of it. cos most things arent advancing us bc representation and culturalism are a lie bla bla. it’s just that when the depictions are negative or not done well it adds to the problem as opposed to the things that are well done are fairly benign and can’t really pull us back (perf example is the black panther film. i woudl definitely not say it was transgressive as a literal work but visually it’s just stunning. and it’s sad that it’s stunning and surprising but still with basically an all black cast of mostly dark people abd like what it means in the zeitgeist yes. it’s also just a good movie. but it’s still imperialist prop and unfortunately and this is fucking pathetic to say it “opened eyes” in other countries where they hate black ppl and ignore their own racialized minorities HENNYWAYSSSS a better ex is moonlight except moonlight isnt mainstream and is indie tho...still thru a funnel of capital bc a24 but who cares bleed the fuckers dry is my motto. my point is moonlight is both a great work and doesnt bring any failures to the table and its existence helps in ways outside of art but they arent the defining things giving us material advancement sooooo i mean it’s complex (this is my conclusion to everything um guys it’s complex)

er i had one more point in conjunction to above. oh yea so i like dont need all these extra things to make it progressive. like people really want more women in the show and i am honestly like i really dont. i dont want them to actively do this. if they cant do it naturally then let someone else do it. i am not asking for more bc i dont want it from them. when something comes along i embrace it but i do not see why women should be represented when the genre RELIES on patriarchy. there is no complete satisfying existence for the women in these series. i dont want it. i dont ask people to show us~*~* or respect~* like fuck no the people who make it make it and hopefully more will make it in the future but i will not beg bc THEY DONT WANT TO DO IT SO WOULD FORCING IT MAKE IT BETTER? just fucking leave them out entirely. that’s the answer if theyre gonna make nasty female characters then those bitches can geaux. we have other plcaes to be. booked. and. BUSY!

Not really, sorry hun! Maybe at one time he did, but not so much as he’s gotten older. Should a pregnancy come up and you want to raise a baby, then he will be totally supportive. You need him there at the doctor’s visits? Alright, but he’s bringing a book or something. You wanna go shopping? Sure. He’s just not tripping over himself to plan it out. He just goes with the flow.

C-Celebration, how would they celebrate your anniversaries?

Whatever you want to do, he’ll make it happen. Otherwise he’ll get you a flower or 12 and it’s takeout and makeout! ;)

D-Divorce, how would they handle if you wanted a divorce? What caused it?

Yeah well, he ain’t happy. He’s almost not surprised given who and how he is. He wouldn’t admit to be heartbroken, and you’ll never see him cry (I can’t even confirm or deny if he cries at all during this time), but you’ll see him mad. He resents this, but he won’t stop you. You stop communicating for a while after it’s finalized and everything has been separated. Maybe you’ll see each other in public somewhere a few of years down the line, and it’s like you’ve become a stranger to him. Just another face in the crowd, something to playfully tease, but no longer close. You just wanted different things, maybe you wanted a family, settle down and have that dream of settling down come true, but that’s not his style. Maybe he was being a jerk for a little too long, and his good traits aren’t enough to make up for his bad ones anymore. Either way you can’t take being around him any longer.

E-Earnest, are they serious about your marriage? Or can they be a little immature about it?

He’s immature, for sure! He’s serious a couple of times a year (usually birthdays and anniversaries and small get-togethers with friends). He’s a jokey guy, making light of situations is how he responds to the world. He wants you to enjoy his humor as well.

F- Favorite, what was your favorite things before and after you got married to each other?

Before: Either listening to you talk about something you’re passionate about, seeing how your eyes light up when he suggests going back to his place and spending time together. It reminds him that you really enjoy his company and don’t think he’s annoying or obnoxious.

After: When you fall asleep on his shoulder watching tv or in bed when he’s reading. It happens almost every night, and he really cherishes these moments. He’s not making a joke, and you can’t see him making googoo eyes at him. He thinks you’re amazing.

G-Giving, do they spoil you?

Every now and again, maybe once a month, Xigbar will go all out for you. Take you shopping, then out to eat, maybe dancing, a walk in the moonlight? He likes it when you’re happy, and the face you make when you’re surprised and feel special, especially when it’s because of him? It’s his favorite thing in the world.

H-Honeymoon, what did you two do for your honeymoon?

Something kind of adventurous, maybe bungie jumping or zip-lining? Something that would thrill you, he likes the faces you make. Some sight-seeing, people watching (that for him, he likes to eavesdrop and silently judge others). And whatever you wanted to do too!

I-Invest, how much do they contribute to your marriage?

Xigbar is surprisingly ((to me, I don’t know about you guys, maybe you knew all along)) domestic. Like cooking and cleaning, is easy for him to fulfill. If it’ll make you feel at ease and less stressed he’ll pull his own weight around the house. 50/50 (and a little more if it’s your birthday or anniversary).

J-Jealous, do they still get jealous even though you’re completely theirs?

Nah, sorry Xig’s not the jealous type. If you say you love him, then you love him. Once you got his trust, you don’t have to worry (unless you have actually done something to break his trust).

K-Kiss, how often would you two kiss? Do you still have that spark?

As often as you want, and the once before leaving the house in the morning, and once before going to sleep at night.

L-Live, where would you two settle down at?

Xigs would like to live somewhere near a city, the hustle and bustle is a nice place to visit. He’d be fine if he were just outside a city, where you can get some peace and quiet, but you’re never too far from the action and drama that a city can bring. Would prefer to stay away from anywhere with a Homeowners Association (like a suburb with people named Barb or Karen). Also far away from a school! Little kids mean trouble, and trouble that Xig didn’t start? is a no=no.

M-Make, do they still make your heart flutter after years of marriage?

If you’re asking if looking at you makes Xigbar’s (nonexistent?) heart feel warm and comfy? Heck yeah, it does. You’re home for him, a constant, a comfort. He cherishes the fact that you’re still together after all these years, that you bother putting up with him after all this time. He may be a jokester, and he may not say it out loud enough, but he really does feel lucky that you’re here.

N-Never, what is something they would never do?

He’d never be violent towards you or around you. I know this seems like bottom of the ladder, super basic. But when he pledges his heart to you, he means to protect you. That includes from any anger he may feel in a moment regardless of who is the cause. He doesn’t want to scare you (not unless it’s a harmless prank or halloween) and he never wants you to feel unsafe around him. So punching walls or anything? That’s something you’ll never be around to see, if and when it happens.

O-Opportunity, do you two still get the opportunity to be intimate with one another?

Heck yes! It’s an important part of your relationship. Even if it’s not the *bow chicka bow wow* level of intimacy, being physical with hugs and being able to be vulnerable with one another is important.

He doesn’t seem like the type to be vulnerable with others, does he? But it’s only because he’s not quick to trust others or show his true emotions. With you, he’s willing if you are. At least once a week y’all will be together and talk and vent or anything that you need to do.

P-Pet names, what pet names do you two give each other?

He calls you sun/starshine, sweetpea, sweetheart, baby, babycakes, darlin’. Sometimes just to tease and sometimes because he just thinks it’s cute.

You are free to call him whatever you want, he’ll answer to them all. Not a ounce of embarrassment from him, wears these names like a badge of honor ;)

Q-Quiet, do you two keep quiet about your marriage? Or do you always brag about one another?

Xiggy’s actually pretty quiet. He’s not over the top about being married to total strangers. But to friends and you especially, he’ll let y’all know that you’re his better half. He counts himself lucky to have married you, and he’ll rub it in that he was the one that you chose to spend your life with.

He’ll usually ask his friends if they’re jealous that you two are so happy.

R-Romance, how do you two keep your romance alive?

Date night is a regular occurrence (it’s a good way to keep romance alive! did you know that dating (this goes along with communication!) is a great way to have a successful relationship? Because y’all continually get to know each other it keeps things fresh, the same way dating new people does)

S-Selfie, would they take multiple pictures of you? Would they save them on their phone?

Only if you’re snoring or doing something embarrassing. It’s your job to take the nice selfies and send it to him. His favorites are still the silly pictures you find embarrassing. He thinks they’re endearing.

T-Teenagers, do you still act like teens when you’re older?

Xig? Yes, Absolutely. His sassy attitude doesn’t fade with time. And one of his favorite things is to tease every now and again, a little pinch on the bum, or a joke about the neighbors will always be a regular occurrence.

U-Unrelenting, what hasn’t stopped since you two got married?

Playful teasing of course! He’s kind of a jokey guy, that’ll never go away. It’s part of what made you fall for him (or so he says) and it’s here to stay.

Also casual dates every now and again. He probably won’t bring you flowers that he didn’t pick out of the neighbor’s yard or a park but he will take you out on the town, maybe have an ice cream or get a snack.

V-Valentine’s Day, what plans do you two make?

A mess! Chocolate fondue seems like a good idea, until you realize you didn’t follow the recipe right, or burnt the chocolate. Shoulda just got the fondue pot, sheesh! but it was fun nonetheless! He got some chocolate on his nose (you probably put it there on purpose) and kissed it off, he smeared some chocolate on your face (DEFINITELY on purpose) and licked it off. And then that led into [redacted because this isn’t THAT kind of blog]

W-Wedding, what was your wedding like?

This is up to you! All he asks is that he’s allowed some alcohol. You want a small affair? Maybe just going to sign the marriage certificate in town hall, he’s down. He’d like to go to a bar after and celebrate and drink for a bit with his “spouse”.

Or if you want a big fancy wedding, that’s fine too. If that’s the case, he’d still like some booze available (open bar maybe?) for him to get buzzed on. Not totally drunk, no no no, never! Don’t want to embarrass you in front of your friends and family (Xig? Embarrassing? NEVER! ;) But it’s a joyful occasion he’d like something to toast with. Maybe invite Xehanort, at least to show off a bit. He can play into his schemes while ALSO enjoying being alive.

X-X-Ray, can you two see through each other? Can you see when you’re lying or not?

You know this really depends on the person. If you’re good at reading people, you might be able to piece together what’s going on in his mind, otherwise he’s as much a mystery to you as he is to anyone else. The only difference is if you ask him, he’ll tell you what he’s thinking or let you know it’s nothing you need to worry your pretty little head about.

He likes to think he can read you, but once again, if you’re someone who’s very secretive maybe he can’t fully tell. But he won’t rub it in your face, either. He might say that it seems there’s something bothering you, or something you’re hiding from him, but he won’t force it out of you. He wants you to feel comfortable to come to him when you need/want it.

Trust is an important aspect in your relationship and he’ll trust you to come to him when you need it, just like how he’ll trust you to leave him be until he’s ready to share too.

Y-Yearly Tradition, what do you two do every year for your wedding anniversary?

You wanna go out? He’ll take you out. But for him he just wants to spend some time being physically intimate ;) It’s up to you what you wanna do, he’ll give in to your requests, but he’s a simple man. He loves you and he wants to spend that time with you.

this is an ask based thingy but im really in the mood to infodump so im just gonna answer them all under the cut !

Favorite video game?

starting off with the absolute hardest question huh? i can’t possibly name ONE favorite game of mine because i adore my favorites for many different reasons. my overall favorite video game is ffxv or botw. ffxv because it has brought me so much joy for such a long time, and because i have such a connection with the characters. botw because i was actually in the fandom when it first got announced in 2016 so i got to be there when the hype was at an all time high– and finally being able to play the game after waiting for so long was an unforgettable experience. i have more favorite games but ill talk more about them in the ‘’special place in ur heart’’ question.

First console you owned?

my first console wasn’t a console. my friend and i used to play on her nintendo dsi all the time and at one point tiny little me reeeally wanted one of my own so i saved up and got one in [redacted] when i was 7. my first actual console was a wii though, we got that around the same time.

A game that holds a special place in your heart?

ffxv and botw mean the absolute world to me, but super mario galaxy and skyward sword are very important to me too. skyward sword is the game that got me into zelda which got me into anime which got me into final fantasy etc etc etc. super mario galaxy was the first non-mini game collection and more adventure story-ish game i played. i was so proud when i beat it for the first time and mario was my first ever ‘’fandom’’ :’)

Favorite video game character?

bro. i cant pick just one so i’ll choose one per game : prompto, ryuji and link. they were all my comfort characters at some point and i projected like crazy onto them. this doesnt mean that i wouldnt absolutely die for noct or zelda.

Least favorite video game character?

i dont think theres anyone i distinctly dislike? i always talk about hating ardyn but that’s because he’s just a salty bitch. as a character i think he’s a great villain and i rly love him. i honestly always end up liking everyone somehow, maybe there is someone i just forgot about but i cant remember at all.

Video game character you’ve had a crush on?

every character ever, but i distinctly remember the moment i fell in love with prompto sjghfkshd i was watching a playthrough of xv in december 2016 because i didnt have a ps4, and the guy got to the scene in galdin quay where the bros learn insomnia fell. i had watched about 6 hours of the game by that time and wasn’t particularly interested in the characters but not uninterested enough to drop it. i hadnt even gotten a good look at the characters faces yet, so when the camera zoomed in on prompto when he said ‘’might not be save for us here!’’ i noticed he had freckles. oh god. oh fuck. oh my god hes fucking cute. oh my god better watch 30 hours of this game now

First video game you remember playing?

wayyy before i got my own gaming systems, my then-best friend had a gamecube in her attic. i was around 5 or 6 at the time. whenever i was over at her house and we didnt know what to do, she’d sometimes propose to play ‘’mario kart’’. important is that we are dutch, and i was a literal child. i thought mario KART meant it was a fucking card game, so i always declined whenever she asked. on one fateful day, i finally gave in and was pleasantly surprised it was in fact not a card game, but a viddy game. so we played mario kart double dash. (…i had never played a video game in my life besides browser flash games and was Very Very bad)

Age you started gaming?

so i played my first video game that i didnt own when i was about 5 or 6. then i got my first supply of games at age 7/8, but i dont really consider that time to be when i started ‘’gaming’’. i’d say that was when i started mario galaxy, so i’ve been playing video games for real (ie. story adventure games with boss battles) for about 6 years now.

Hardest video game you’ve played?

this is gonna sound stupid, but the witcher 3. there’s like 7 difficulties and i played on the EASIEST and still had a hard time, i just couldnt get used to the combat. i had the same problem with assassin’s creed syndicate, but after about 10 hours i actually knew what i was doing, and ive played the witcher longer than that and still am clueless. this is kind of an unpopular opinion but i dont particularly like that game

Video game you’ve spent the most time on?

i guess i am what you’d call a casual gamer; i really like video games but during a normal school week i only game for like 2-6 hours. most of the time i dont play for like 2 weeks if im busy. gaming has kind of taken over my life not because i play so much but because i get so emotionally invested lol i’m currently on summer break and even now im not playing a lot because of exhaustion and executive dysfunction. this derailed slightly but the game i’ve played the most despite my casual gamer status is …. … …. ffxv. surprise, right? the runner up is botw, but xv wins by a landslide. 630+ hours. botw is 350. my main save in ffxv is almost 200 hours i think. damn. i really managed to keep myself entertained with that game… (………i was thinking recently, since the loading screens in xv are so long, how much of this total amount was spent watching screens. i imagine it’s several hours, especially if you fast travel a lot.)

Most embarrassing gaming moment?

many moments in my gaming experience are embarrassing, but a more recent one: i was in xv’s postgame, beating some dungeons on my new save file. i had just finished daurell caverns and hadn’t saved in about 2 hours. (uh oh) i was driving around in the regalia type d and got to the big cliff near lestallum, and remembered someone made a gif of jumping in there so i wanted to try it too. i imagined the game would just put me back on the road, like it does when you crash into something. except it didnt. i got a game over. where was my last save? 2 hours back all the way in hammerhead. yippee.

Scariest video game you’ve played?

i never play horror games, cuz for me games are supposed to be relaxing experiences. no hate towards horror games of course, they just stress me out. the only time ive played horror is when friday the 13th was for free on ps+, and my friends really wanted to play it. (theyre kinda addicted to it now. huh) they had already gotten over the initial fear of having jason chase you, but i was still terrified. i can play the game without getting scared now tho. the horror sound effects just rly freaked me out at first jhsdkghsd

Most memorable gaming moment?

playing breath of the wild for the first time, or beating it for the first time. both experiences were filled to the brim with excitement and nostalgia. seeing botw as a blank slate, a world for you to explore, having no idea where you’re going… that was pretty incredible. now i know every nook and cranny of the map, so i wish i could play it for the first time again. i was so incredibly immersed. beating it was insane. i cried for 30 minutes and the end wasnt even sad, i was just so amazed at the fact that i was really here, playing breath of the wild, it was really real. the fucking main theme in the background (which i cannot for the life of me listen to without crying) didnt help with my emotions sgkdjh

Video game character you wish you could meet in real life?

PC, Xbox, Playstation, or Nintendo?

i dont care about console wars at all, but i think hardware-wise, pc is the best, because if you have a good pc you can basically do anything. i however do not, so i just play on consoles. ive never particularly liked xbox, so i only play ps4 and nintendo. not the switch though. its kinda petty, but my best friend and i really dont like the switch djghks

Gaming company you’re most loyal to?

none. i used to call myself a nintendo nerd (oh my god…. i m. gonna die) in like 2015 but since the switch came out and since i got a ps4 they kinda lost me. i still like their game series of course, but as a company i don’t care for them. the only reason i see square enix as one of ‘’my’’ gaming companies is because ffxv took up like 70% of my gaming experience, but besides final fantasy i don’t really love them too much either.

If you could only play one video game for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

atm i’m really into ffxiv because theres just so much to do, but that’s just a new, possibly temporary interest. if i had to choose, i’d say botw. maybe i’d say ffxv, but i feel like running around doing nothing in that game isnt very fun, because the world is sorta empty after completing every quest and getting to level 120. in botw, just fucking around on your horse is still really relaxing and nice.

Do you use strategy guides?

yup. in certain games i try to avoid them but i usually end up stuck or in need of advice. i couldn’t have gotten so many p5 trophies if not for the internet lol

How often do you use cheats?

never, simply because the games i play often do not have cheats. unless im playing the sims and are in need of a motherlode, i dont use them.

Competitive or single player?

single player. im bad at video games and like to do stuff at my own pace. online multiplayer can be fun every now and then in games like mario kart 8 or splatoon, and i also like teamwork stuff like ffxiv or comrades. but ultimately, i prefer playing on my own.

Video game character you want to/have cosplayed?

have never cosplayed, dont have plans to either, but it would be fun to cosplay link. omg. i just remembered i have that fucking chocomoogle shirt… sorry link im gonna slap on some sasuke hair, black jeans and ugly sneakers

Ever go to a video game convention?

i have not, i have however gone to three (3) video game concerts which is basically the same thing.

Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?

the hardest bosses for me are usually the ones with a gimmick. you have to use a certain item or tactic to beat them or something. other hard fights for me are when you fight someone with a similar skill set. (in ffxv, this happens twice, once with the iggy-noct sparring match and once against ardyn. somehow, the final boss was easier than getting the prince to eat vegetables.) i don’t know an actual example of THE hardest boss fight ive been in though. at the time, the first bowser battle in mario galaxy was the hardest thing in the universe and i got stuck for like a month. currently, i’m having trouble with the riku-ansem fight in kh1.

Video game you wish you could burn from your memory?

the zelda cdi games? no, i dont really know. i dont hate a game so much that i’d want to forget about it altogether, but i dont exactly love ocarina of time that much. it hasnt aged well and playing it on the gamecube for the first time in 2015 wasnt a good idea. im sure it was revolutionary at the time, but i cant handle the outdated controls gsdgksjs

Favorite gaming series?

see, i love ffxv itself more than the entirety of the zelda series, but i dont love ff as a SERIES more than the zelda games. so if were talking series, zelda for sure. i fucking love those games and they mean a lot to me.

Do you skip tutorials, or find them useful?

i often skip them because i cant pay attention, but then find that i need them anyway. so i usually do skim through them.

Best online gaming experience?

one really good one happened a few days ago in ffxiv, some guy and i exchanged emotes for like 30 minutes and it ended with us becoming friends on psn :’) ppl dont usually emote back at me in that game so this was really wholesome and nice gjshksdj

Worst online gaming experience?

i dont really have a worst? theyre more annoying. think try harders in gta online killing you 15 times in a row because they want to show you how good they are or something. magically, online gaming hasnt been too hard on me (mainly because i dont game online that much)

Why do you game?

it brings me joy. it’s a fun way of relaxing, while being stimulated at the same time. games have meant a great deal to me the past 6 years and i wouldnt want to lose them for the world.

Canon Verse 1.1

Heavily based within the Starfighter universe. This expansion of the universe is my own and I’d really like it if no one stole it - or if credit is given where credit is due. with that - shout out to @hamletmachine for creating Starfighter in the first place.

Base structure Navigators and Fighters are essentially pilots - while navigators function (as their name sake) as the actual pilots of the craft, fighters have more base intuition of weapons systems needed to... fight. Both are capable of piloting a starfighter and while each specializes in their own specific training - navigators in more tech/system analysis and fighters more on the physical/survival aspect - fighting outside of a starfighter is not a major role nor something they are actively trained in. Again - these two classes work within an Air Force type structure.

With that, another unit within this system was created for more ground support - or rather, infiltration and retrieval. Basic flight skills are trained, but the major focus is on direct contact with the enemy outside of the ship. This unit is small, tight knit and rarely seen on the major stations except when coming in from deep space for supplies. Their main missions are to find and destroy alien out posts, and collect information on the enemy to send back to base.

The Colteron Chapter Four has lead me to believe that my HCs for the Colteron aren’t correct, however, because my initial HCs are so heavily ingrained in my canon, I won’t be changing them for this verse, although I do fully accept the new information. The enemy - the alien force that is aiming to destroy the human race and whittled down the colonies to Mars and Earth. A hive mind bug-like race connected by the mental threads to a home world Queen; these aliens are aggressive, strong, and tactile. They have their own language (in the form of clicks) to humans as well as the mental capacity to learn others and a strict hierarchy that is followed to a T. Major information is sent back and forth between the Queen (or King who am I to judge) and her ‘generals’ or alphas and they then delegate information out to the peons within their own units.

The Experiments Who doesn’t want to make their armies stronger in a time of need when the human race depends on it? Who isn’t willing to be desperate enough to save humans by not becoming one? These guys. Phase 1 - The initial experiments were run in secret at the beginning of the heavy losses in the war, although the ground units were more than willing to donate their flesh and blood to the cause. Survival rate was 10%, and success rate in combining Colteron and Human DNA was even smaller, but to those who survived, gained what they could only hope to achieve in dreams. Strength across the board went up, but it did not make them super human, instead enhanced the abilities they already had. Those that were fast got faster, those that were strong - much stronger. The initial hope was that a hive mind like structure would be created within the subjects, which, although not perfect, was replicated. Subjects could sense each other, emotions, where they were within a certain space, but specific words or messages were unable to be communicated. It was still a major break through and the cohesiveness of the unit grew exponentially. There was a natural hierarchy that formed within the human subjects, often the more strong willed of the group became the Leader whose emotions/feelings overrode that of the other subjects. While the “Alpha” in this case was able to sense and feel where all other subjects were, the other subjects were far more susceptible to the ‘alphas’ influence and direction. All sense of individuality was maintained among the subject except the inability to ‘shut off’ feeling the rest of their unit.

Phase 2 - Side Effects. The human body was not meant to be inter spliced with alien DNA and the successes did not come without a cost. Biology changed slowly, blood increased thickness and color changed to a dark blackish red with an oil slick sheen when pooled. In a small percentage of successful candidates symptoms were reported such as: Sickness, vomiting, fever, bleeding from the eyes and/or ears and/or nose, blacking out, lack of appetite, numbness in the hands and feet, extreme weight loss, severe headaches, hallucinations, and sleep walking. Another side effect was the discoloration of the skin in a birth mark like pattern. Often appearing white, each subject gained the mark in a place at random indicating a small bundle of nerves that were highly sensitive to the subject. If pressed, the subject was either put into a numb-like state or an extremely aggressive state. While there are no indications that the Colteron have such spots, it is theorized these are created purely from the mingling of genes. Of the more mild side effects, all subjects had an extreme craving for glucose / sugar which were satiated by simple daily pills.

Phase 3 - The deaths. Among the initial successful candidates that made up the ground unit, many died in their sleep after four months and the final few began showing extreme symptoms of dementia, hallucinations, and internal bleeding. It wasn’t until subject 34-- 7̭͉̬̥͜-̡͓-͚̖̟̘͈͙͝ͅ ̠̩ḭ͎̟̙̫̣̗n̟̭̯̝͈̲͖͜f̰͞o҉̻̥͈͔̜ͅr̷̙̼̺͍̮̩ mation redacted.

All subjects terminated after initial incident that caused the death of 12 crew members and the loss of 2 starfighters and the ground unit was placed on a permanent hold. The experiments were shelved as unsuccessful until years later when another doctor perfected the initial testing and proposed that under the current circumstances and threat of losing the war, he be allowed to continue them.

In 2XXX, the experiments resumed under the condition that any successful subject was fitted with a “Communicator”. The selection process for the experiment and now specialized unit was far more rigorous and candidates were selected in private under the guise of Advanced Training.

The Now Current unit is compromised of 12 members, however after [incident redacted], subjects were split into two and separated onto two major fleet ships into deep space. Due to the final attack, one ship has been called back to Earth to regroup with the final assault while the other will meet at the attack point.

In order to ensure integration with the rest of the fleet is smooth - as well as to ensure that any incidents are kept at a minimum, the unit will take on new partners and act as specialized advisers unless given approval for combat.

Ok so: my friend and I got this idea while playing, ready, LEGO Marvel Superheroes on the PS3 last year. We were fooling around and improvised a genuine shockingly solid story line, and so we wrote it down subpar fanfic-style. It’s incredibly fun to write, and we’ve been making way more progress on it via phone calls now that we can stay up past 12 am with less physical repercussions, but that’s just a small aspect of what I’m trying to get at. A long long time ago, I downloaded a visual novel program, RenPy, that utilizes the coding system Python, and I’ve been wanting to learn how to code with it for a while now. I came to the conclusion that the fic we’ve been working on would be perfect material for a visual novel.

I tried my hand at it a few months before the pandemic and it was dummy hard to get the hang of. The tutorials the program provides you with are only useful if you already have an idea of what you’re doing/need to do (which I absolutely did not), so I wasn’t able to do much with the time I had to put toward it initially. But, as we all know, time divvying has become a bit more lenient as of late. So, this wonderful German guy I found on YouTube has surprisingly in-depth, super easy to understand, and very thorough tutorials about how to code script and design layouts and all that good stuff. Sadly, he only has 3 videos for it, but I at least know the gist of how things work now. 4 months of procrastination, 3 hours of miscellaneous tutorials and one incredibly horrible computer crash and hard shut down (because I stupidly put over 250 lines of code in a single file without knowing I could separate different scenes into their own script file) later, I have a solid 20 minutes of gameplay!

The concept is basically like a really ironic and out-of-character dating sim: you’re given options and go through the story and make decisions that hopefully get you with who you want to end up with. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a demo of what I have so far of the game itself because lots of outside media things such as character illustrations are missing, and I’m not even a quarter way into it, but I CAN share the very technical coding aspect and some of the process.

How many hours are in two days, doesn't matter, they’ll be gone.” I try to mask my very own anticipation, as my hands are pulsating almost as much as my Crest 3D Sailor Moon Special Edition toothbrush as I reach into my Saint Laurent Monogram leather crossbody bag which retails at the price of about $2,284 USD. I elegantly and tenderly grasp the beloved envelope in which my precious concert tickets reside. I whisk them out of the bag’s silky interior, a whiff of air following my swift movement. I shudder. It still faintly smells of his cologne… Roja Musk Aoud Absolue Precieux Perfume (the only part of that I can understand is the word ‘musk’, so therefore the musk part is my favourite). I melancholically smile about the nostalgic memory, but quickly shake away the scent along with the pain. The envelope is beginning to feel heavy in my tiny lady-hands. Although it’s a simple envelope, I hate how thoughtful Tony had to have been when choosing it. The edges were crisp with gold lining, and if I licked it right now, I bet you it’d taste like prime ribs on a summer escapade on [redacted]’s yacht. Speaking of food, the wax stamp stares back at me almost lustfully. Only a few days ago I’d send my distant family members mail with the exact same stamp crest... One the two of us now shared only in a distant memory.”]

And, last but absolutely not least, I’m hoping to send an inquiry to Ryan Reynolds once the script is completed to see if he’d be able to provide the voice of Deadpool. We’re both Canadian, so I have slightly above-average hopes in the matter.

yeah. although definitely the action. theres something in the movements that feels immensely fluid.

ironically though, i think my favorite scene is the end of #5. i enjoyed the emotional drama of jonny realizing that the world simply just isnt this easy to define black and white thing. and i think that just adds a good emotional layer that helps followup on the fact that #3 had that sense of moral grayness as well. i also just liked seeing jonny having his own little folders for villains. thats just kind of cute. practical but cute.

yes and im really enjoying the balance of the villains. like theres this great moral grayness to them where their motives and backstories are sympathetic. but i like that in this case it doesnt go too far. like the story keeps it clear that nah, theyre sympathetic and have dimension, but theyre 100% the villain and need to be stopped.

Is he up to something big, or is his goal simply self-profit? We’ve also seen many people are in the Big-Man’s pockets. Do you believe they’ll stay loyal, or will one of them eventually bail and squeal on the Big-Man? What do you think will happen if Jonny discovers the identity of one of these accomplices? Was he just a convenient host, or was it a good will attempt to save Jonny’s life? Was the Jaintium crashing on Earth a coincidence, or is there something more to it? actually that was a point i thought that was worthy of discussion. is the being using jonny as a host sapient and when we see those mental manifestations were seeing the creature? or is the creature not really sapient and those manifestations are simply a side effect of the joining that sort of splits jonny's mind into extremes?

QUESTION 4. Besides the bigger mysteries, there are many, many smaller mysteries that have been left unanswered. Who is the shadow person who appeared to help Jonny when Jonny was fighting Sergei? Why did they help Jonny, and how did they know about the tranquilizer? Who was the mysterious masked person Jonny met before getting distracted by Abe’s father’s kidnapping? What was the masked person up to? Have we seen the last of Heat-Wave, or will Heat-Wave come back to exact revenge on Jonny or someone else? What about any of the other villains we’ve seen? Do you expect we’ll see them again, or will they stay away for good? On a less superhero level, do you think Jonny will continue to be able to keep his secret superhero life secret? Who do you think might find out next, how, and what will it affect? Finally, what do you think will happen if Jonny’s dad finds out The J-Man is his son?

So, two things I want to get out there in the last 15 minutes or so. First of all, WOW, how much time has likely gone into this... because I followed the link of the old vs new fight with Sergei, and it looked REAL different. So, a lot of early stuff was drawn twice, I guess?

Yeah, I first made 6 issues in high school (2011-2012), but I didn't like the art and some story elements so I decided to remake them for the webcomic. #1-3 are those old comics redone.
