unova. silver could honestly say this place was up there on his list of preferred regions - just on the account of how seriously battling had been taken there. new layouts, new rules, and new strategies he's never heard of until making it there, and it's also what kept him coming back. even more so when an old acquaintance and battle partner had been making talk of the town, how he made his goals a reality. there was something sincere in the feeling silver got after hearing the news, almost as soon as he'd entered aspertia.

it's not hard to navigate a new city, he's learned the art with years of practice. he took his time with it, still ; the city is flourishing, and the closeness of the natural world and pokemon with urbanization is something he quite adores seeing. this could be one of his favorite cities, by far.

the school and gym isn't hard to find, and familiar black hair and familiar voice stands out from the rest - he looks different, though. ( silver knows he could say the same for himself, but still ; the progression of time always seemed to catch him off guard with things like this. ) and still, he'd circle his way around the lobby area to nearby where cheren stood, engrossed in a conversation with someone else. likely a gym trainer. and so he'd wait and take in the sights of the room he stood in, just until it'd ended and the other person walked away. silver reorients himself.

" cheren. " a slight dip of the head in greeting, firmness to his voice for it to be heard the short distance he stood.

"long time no see."

Character Development hard mode

Iris doesn't trust easily. Both the Plasma Crises ruined that at a early age. First she trusts that people couldn't be that bad, there's no way Plasma will actually get a grip on people's minds- wait, nevermind. Then she assumed Ghetsis was sane and would stay gone, but look where that got her. Unova's emergency acting champion watching Her city, Her people freeze under ice far too cold to melt easily.

Needless to say she doesn't trust easily anymore, and any friendship or similar can go in seconds the minute you break Iris's hard earned trust. It wouldn't matter who you are to her, fool her once? Shame on her. A second chance is hard to come by.

Touya's absolutely silent and still for a moment after the deed is done. He's not sure if he should be proud of himself or embarrassed or both at the same time, so he's just there, completely unmoving, until...

  Cheren is none the wiser when it comes to the intent of Touya's approach, and he is far to preoccupied in trying to keep himself upright to even consider what was happening. The next moment leaves him truly and thoroughly unable to consider much of anything. Cheren stands frozen in place for minutes after the kiss, trying and failing to come up with something to say...

"Huh??"

It'd been so long since she'd spent a full day with Cheren... What better way to reminisce than to toss a ball back and forth like they used to?

Touko slouched back on his couch, baseball and glove still in hand, her face moist from the light exertion. The day was spent trading banter, talking like nothing had changed. As a lull in conversation came about, her eyes fell onto the worn ball, cradled in the new glove she'd bought.

The years between where their friendship left off and the people they became today flashed through her mind. Memories of places she'd been, things she'd seen and done... And fabricated ones that her mind placed Cheren in. Worlds away.

"...Cheren."

She uttered, at once realizing that she'd said his name aloud, without a plan.

"...How come you let me back in?"

naturally. there's satisfaction in the small smile on his face at that. @evoblue always knew and loved him better than anyone else ; they had grown up together, seen each other at their lowest and highest points when no one else did. though, maybe he'd have to fess up about the few more piercings that he has than what she thought. and show more than just his oil paintings, especially knowing the full series of charcoal and graphite drawings he's completed. just sitting around and occupying apartment space.

there is a certain level of comfort in this, as well. people that he had grown with knew him better than the rest, and he took that to his heart and held on dearly. perhaps @devonheir really did pay more attention that silver might've thought him to. the edges of his eyes crease in a fonder sort of emotion, though he'd be damned to say it aloud to his face.

odd. random unovan ... he's been there multiple times if the training sessions with cheren were anything to note for others, yet still. maybe he'd been spotted competing in the pwt. maybe someone just found it easy enough, or predictable, considering such a high number. bit unnerving, actually.

this one was also interesting. silver squints at the result, deciding maybe less was more. or it could be amusing. either way, @nickitsden scoring high enough for that could've been lucky guessing or a feat of remembrance. there was a certain level of respect for that.

ah, there he is. cheren scoring a five is pretty considerable, actually - maybe he'd have to pick and choose what he divulged a bit more carefully. or ... well, it was an interesting feeling of @basicknowledge, someone outside of his smaller group, seeing so much.

yellow managed to get this too, huh? viridian children stuck together, and @yoakkemae did know a softer side of silver. atleast, compared to the rest of their band. there was a degree of comfort in that number.

this one is interesting, a previous interaction that left him sort of dazed. familiarity behind the brown hair and hair, something about the persistent face of @touyatiredforthis scoring that high is slightly unnerving. ah, well.

a new person. @alolynn-heart, who scored fairly high. silver isn't sure he likes that, but there's a nod of acknowledgment nonetheless. he'll have to remember that face and name.
