Body Transformation Reposted from @carsonexhibit - I used to be so ashamed of my thick legs. After I quit soccer I stopped wearing shorts altogether. My friends in high school once pooled money to pay me to wear a short skirt - because I was always hiding my lower half. My legs still look nothing like the ones in clothing magazines but I will not purposefully cut away at my muscle to change that. I’m naturally strong and I want to build on it, not hide it. #bbcomtransformation #wemirin Here are a few pictures of me. I honestly winces seeing myself. I added a clip from my previous gym, lol, I always wore black. To look slimmer, 😜🙃 . That and a sweatshirt. I didn't use any supplements till this year, and it made a difference. Last year, I had to jump rope and I could barely do cardio without swelling and pain. Not this year, can't tell my body that's its 36. .... I am not that woman anymore. I am not hiding in clothes anymore, or staying inside to avoid people. I hiked this past weekend on my own. It felt good. I felt bold and strong, like Wonder Woman, but without my wig. You know?? Lol. Seriously, I'm just incredibly happy that I stuck it out. Jason Wittrock talks about dealing with the curve balls that life throws at us. I am doing that, getting back on my feet without depending on food as crutch or hobby. I gotta get out and live. It's not easy changing a lifestyle, especially when a lot of times, there doesn't seem to be any light. I felt like I was sitting in the dark. But it's there. Honestly, doing workouts and weights that I couldn't do at all or I could barely do one rep, brought me closer to that light. You hear people say fail forward, and I'm sitting here like, "whatever". I met one of my closest friends at my apartment, because I fell off the treadmill and onto the floor in front of everyone. I could have been ashamed, humiliated or sad. But, I laughed it off and she smiled and here we are; friends! At that moment, I saw the light. I was getting closer. But I had to fail forward. I had to fail. There will be failure. Real talk, people don't tell you that you could start a fire with how much your thighs rub when you're running. They do!!!! But it is worth it. The feeling I have now is priceless.
