ive been thinking a lot about scarri lately

trigger warnings (bcz tumblr fucking nukes this if i put them in the tags): descriptions of eating disorders (weight loss is only briefly touched upon, and the eating disorder that this story is focused on is not focused on wl,) descriptions of toxic parenting, emetophobia, misogyny, and internalized transphobia (towards the self)

there is something rotting inside of her. rotten? something that's long since rotted. she's not sure when it died, but one early morning, she sat up with the sudden understanding that something inside of her was dying, dead, done, and she had had no say in the matter.

(her dad said marlowe boys died young. she knows she's not boy enough to die, so maybe, this was her body's compromise.)

there's a man in her kitchen, making her food. he puts a plate of eggs, fruit, homemade bread, in front of her. he kisses her mother on her way out the door, handing her her coat. when she's gone, and she sticks the first bite her mouth, it's wrong. it's wrong, because she knows, she shouldn't accept this.

(her dad didn't usually make breakfast. even when she asked. the man in her kitchen doesn't have to be asked, and when she takes a bite, he smiles. it's nothing like her fathers, and when she wants to smile back, she knows it's the beginning of the end. because nobody is really dead, not until they're not loved, and if she doesn't love her father, who will?)

she takes sips of water in between thoroughly chewed bites, doesn't finish the bread, and doesn't bother to excuse herself when she goes upstairs to run the shower. she can feel the rotten thing feed, as the food digests, but she still waits. just a little longer, as she pulls her hair back. just a little longer, after the first time is a fluke.

(her dad had made jokes about this. pointing at a pretty girl terri had been watching on the street, and making a two finger gesture to his mouth. he'd told terri that it was the lazy way out.)

there's a knock on the door, a gentle calling to her. when she shouts back some cruel response, she's not sure if her voice is rough from the bile, or the tears gathering in her eyes.

he knocks again.

will you please let me in, honey?

she hates him. she hates him so much. the man on the other side of the door lives in her house, loves her mother, loves her, didn't give her an option in making her love him. she wishes she didn't. wishes she didn't so deeply. she hates that she likes him.

(she stopped liking her father at some point. it was hard to, when every moment with him felt like a delicate performance of being his favorite girl.)

she doesn't know what to do. there is wasted food in the toilet, there is something dead inside of her, and the fear rolling over her has made her cold all over.

i'll wait outside. you can open the door when you're ready. or tell me to leave.

she doesn't tell him to leave. she cries, and pulls her hair at the root, and she feels ill enough to throw up without having to put work into it.

it takes a while for her to open the door. when she does, she knows she looks sick, knows she looks like hell warmed over, knows he sees the snot and tears.

and he pulls her in for a hug. and she's crying again, when she'd just been so sure she'd used up the last of the water in her body. coughing, and shaking, and doing these little half gasps for air, like her lungs can't get enough.

i hate you. she manages to weep.

i know. he says, and he doesn't. he doesn't hate her.

i hate you so much. she says, beating her fists weakly against his back.

it's okay. he says, pressing a kiss to the crown of her head, like he'd done once when he thought she was asleep. she thought of it all the time. tried to consider some monstrous motivation she could twist it into, but there wasn't one. you don't have to like me.

why can't you hate me? because he doesn't. no matter what she does, he just takes it.

you're 15. he says, like it's the most obvious thing in the world. i can't hate you. you're just a kid.

(she'd been a woman since she was 11, and her mother had lent her her first pad. every part of womanhood had been a gift she didn't want, and she had not been given a receipt)

VL - Well, first of all, I needed that break frim Tribal like the Celtics and GS Warriors do btween playoff games! And while 2nd place wasnt the win, it kept us, Golgatha, out of the dog house. That was the first 'not loser team' Ive been on since this game started. I want to applaud Clefford who took the lead on Traiker Challenge, and I wont criticize (which is soooo hard for me) bcz my editing skills are 0 and no one else on my team could do it or volunteered. So for that, I gotta hand it to Clefford. The only thing I will say, was had he taken more of my advice, and worked with me (yet again some of my teammates dont seem to appreciate the wisdom I may have which comes with maturity) I could have helped us to a slam dunk over Tyrant whom, however, created a wonderful, kind of film noir trailer! That Ava jumped to Tyrant is no surprise so tonights little Mutiny twist, lost us a team member. Now I have to watch my back, again. There is no feeling safe. But, while my mind feels a little rested, I also feel a tad apprehensive. Nonetheless, I am ready for whatever Raffy and his minions conjure up next!

So in case you lose track, in our tribe we now have me, Clefford, Dominique, Jinx, and Julia (in alphabetical order. LOL). So Clefford and I, are like working together. We are both Filipinos and I would love to work with another Filipino this time for real cause the last time it was a flop shout out to Esteban of Patagonia. And I also have my original BSAA tribe with Dominique and Jinx. And then we can also keep the original Galgotha tribe, so that is everyone except Jinx. Now what should I do? This is getting harder and harder. Yesterdays Challenge - the telephone call about Magical Realism was insane. I took it on bcz I take good notes, and I take responsibility - and I thot it would be easier. But, it was so long, I almost threw my pen down! A few times I couldnt help laughing and Raffy was so serious about his topic. And by the end it was a blur. I felt bad for the person who I relayed it to.... OMG and having to listen to them struggle to pull up answers to disconnected fragments was painful even tho I was sitting there noting things I did say, names, concepts, dates, but that would have been hard to remember for most people. Sigh. I had a hectic day so my confession may be as well short. From the last time I confessed here are the few highlights… 1. The munity twist came in and it successfully scattered my plans 😹😅 but it’s survivor anyways. We expect different twist always. Jinx who is supposed to be my easy vote, migrated to Golgotha leaving my strategic mind with the option of Ava , Els or Adeline. Right now, it’s hard to decide the only option is for us to keep wining. 2. It’s so sweet that my coins is gradually growing. My friends got an 02 Acura RSX 5 speed and he pays like $600/month and the car has some engine mods. We are both 17 except he has a couple tickets. I called 3 different insurance companies and they all quoted me around $750 a month. the car in question was a 76 Chevrolet Camaro with an automatic trans and 350ci v8 (though the vin would probably indicate a 267ci v8) why is the newer car cheaper to insure? with a manual trans? kids these days dont appreciate the old cars like I do and stick with Honda and Acuras and those are the ones I actually see getting wrecked. I wouldn't get full coverage on the old car because if it were to wreck i'd just get another as they aren't worth fixing and are a dime a dozen it's not really a rare classic car. I understand that engine size might be a factor. The rsx is lighter and has a smaller engine but the Camaro is much heavier with a bigger engine. Would a z28 cost more? (already upgraded to 350 and upgraded suspension from factory) I didn't ask the insurance on that. What about the Pontiac Firebird of the same years? (70's to '81) it shares a similar setup. When I ask the insurance people how they calculate their rates they say its the area and experience of the driver but me and my friend live in the same area, he's had his license longer but has tickets. Where did I go wrong? A few months back, I backed out of a parking place and stopped, waiting for traffic behind me to resolve itself. While stopped, a large vehicle backed into my driver side door. We both re-parked. The other driver first tried to convince me there was no damage and we should both forget it but after I showed him the damage to my door (his car had almost no damage), we exchanged insurance and personal contact information in a friendly conversation. I reported the damage to my insurance carrier, a large national firm, obtained the required 2 estimates for repair and submitted it, as directed by my carrier and his, to his carrier, a large regional carrier. They informed me he had decided my car was not stopped and so I bore responsibility for his backing his car into me (!), and they therefore were refusing to pay me. My insurance carrier said it was up to me to provide proof my car wasn't moving, regardless of the fact his car backed into mine! I approached the repair firm, and they provided me with photos and offered testimony to state that my car was obviously stopped, based on the damage to the door. I called the individual and said with this information unless he paid the bill in full, I would take him to small claims court. He argued but produced a check for the full amount. A month later, my insurance carrier raised my rate based on this incident and a highway speeding ticket over a year ago. I ended up paying more for my insurance and lost a great deal of time despite both of us being insured. Where did I go wrong?""

(Stupid, I know, I wasn't thinking). My insurance company, GEICO is insisting that the damage is not consistent with a hit and run accident. They have taken recorded statements from me and my boyfriend. They have contracted an independent accident reconstructionist to read the airbag deployment. The reconstructionist originally told me that he was unable to retrieve the data, but the insurance company is now telling me that he was able to get a partial reading. And that it shows that the airbag deployed as a result of impact. The airbag did not actually fully deploy. There is no powder or injury to me to justify a complete deployment. Does anybody know if they have the right to deny my claim based on suspicion? They keep trying to make me say that my boyfriend was driving the car, which he wasn't. We were in the house together all night. Also: car was in previous fire; severe damage to front of car, all repaired. accident happened in CA, full coverage policy written in GA I know its a lot of info. Car wreck and insurance?

Today I was in car wreck. I was in a parking lot going straight and the other driver turned left in to my car. She has dented the whole left side of my car. I called the police but because it was in a parking lot they could not do much. An officer showed up because she refused to give me her proof insurance.
