23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?

Joey. My first complete novel-length fic, and woof, it shows its age. It more or less ends up where I want the end to be, but man is that first half rough to read now. Full of plot threads that I ended up dropping because they were subpar. A rewrite would remove those entirely. I actually did start drafts for a rewrite at some point. But I have limited time on this earth, and given the choice, I'd rather work on new stuff and learn to accept that as a product of my growth over the years.

38. Talk about a review that made your day.

I deeply appreciate every review someone leaves, because they took time to do that! They didn't have to! But they did it anyway!

@melodiousramblings' recent reviews of What happens after you? are one of the many reviews that have made my day recently. It's so good to hear from you again! But it was full of great, honest, and hilarious reactions to the things Jou and Kaiba did through the fic. I felt like I was going along for the ride with her. <3

Hey, hey! I've been searching for this fic for ages and can't catch it, but maybe you can? It was a star trek type AU with a focus on Otayuri, although I'm pretty sure there was a strong Victuuri plotline too. Otabek was like the head engineer and was also a kindof secret super genius (i think there was something about him deliberately downplaying his accomplishments because he liked grunt work better than being a super smart office guy). Yuri was a sort of space cadet type guy (wesley crusher coded). Otabek's sister was also there, and I'm pretty sure she was a bartender.

I am absolutely abysmal at finding fics, and I read this one in a time when I never bookmarked anything (smh, stupid past me). So I must rely on you to make up for my idiocy. Tysm in advance, beloved fic finder <3!

Technically it's more of a post-canon setting than a full AU, but I hope it still counts :p

I changed the direction I wanted the story to go in quite a few times and the current draft is A Messᵀᴹ, but the gist is:

Otabek finds out where Yuri made all that money he's been throwing around lately, then secretly goes on to find out exactly how he's been making that money, and before he knows what's happening he's already merrily contributing to that money. He watches every stream, buys all the perks, gives all the tips, subscribes to everything - all anonymously, without ever saying a word about it to Yuri. Which makes things awkward. Especially since Yuri begins to assume that Otabek must be either a giant prude or, worse, anti sex-work, because why else would he always get so fucking weird whenever the topic of Yuri's job comes up? Otabek knows he's fucked up big time, and the longer he keeps his secret, the bigger the mess will be when it finally blows up in his face.

...And that's where things got a little more angsty than initially intended lol

It's still in an early draft stage (~8.4k) and there's not much I can share yet, so here's just a small unedited snippet from the first chapter:

“I've made an OnlyFans.”

Otabek whips his head around so fast he gets dizzy. Yuri, in his bedroom in Piter, watches his reaction with a preemptive scowl that spells trouble if Otabek doesn't choose his next words very carefully. The problem is, words seem to have escaped him entirely and all he's left with is a whirlwind of thoughts that need to remain where they are and can never, under any circumstances, be expressed out loud. Especially not when Yuri can hear it. Especially not when he's glaring like he is right now.

“Okay.”

That's a word, at least, and a harmless one at that. It came out a little croaky, so Otabek clears his throat, and wishes he could do the same with his reeling mind.

And that's when it occurs to him that his imagination might have shoved him right in the gutter for no reason at all.

“For- for fitness videos? Or dance? Or...something?”

Yuri's face goes through several stages of 'or something'.

“For porn, Beka.”

When one of falls in love but it's unrequited so they develop hanahaki, but the person he loves is so in love with another person that they too also develop hanahaki so they find comfort with one another in knowing they are both dying and while it helps one of them the other slowly fies more because they have to watch the person who is killing them die with them but can't do anything about it and so they are talking about surgery when the first says they wont do it and the other begs to do so because they don't want them to die but then they let it let slip the idea of die from love is better than living without the memory of him. I am actually sobbing right not.
