This quote by DeMayo is a great character analysis of Magneto´s and Logan´s character.

Here Logan was quoting what Magneto said to the X-men as a warning before they went to confront the sentinels on S1 X-men TAS 92 "The Brave are the first to die"

People often forget those two are characters who had lived and survived in many wars, have seen and done the best and the worst, so don´t believe for a moment Logan´s pragmatic mind didn´t understand why Magneto did the EMP or can´t see the pain Magneto is living in right now, he just is also in the possition/the need to stop Magnus now that he has almost lost his mind completely and the reason he does this is because he doesn´t want Charles or the X-men to do it, because he knows they can´t, they won´t, they want to keep dreaming this option isn´t neccesary ever but they always keep Logan close by just in case.

This comment completes the analysis very well, Magneto got what Logan meant with those words.

shut up im thinking abt loquatious' final speech again. such a small detail is that he mispronounces zerxus' name. which is fine, hell he did it with his own name in the first episode's broadcast. but theres something about this one.

zerxus has made a Deal, and if anyone in the ring of brass knows something about deals itd be our faerie warlock. and i think about vespin chloras, whos wish to not be forgotten was granted by being remembered as the worst villain in history. and i think about how loquatious tells laerryn "history is not true". and how faerie and devilish lore both share a belief in the importance of names.

and yeah, its probably not that deep. but maybe, just maybe, it was loquatious' way of protecting his friend from the march of history flattening a person's identity into a word on a sheet of paper.

Ok other favourite moments from this ep:

- Imogen’s reaction to getting a reprieve from the voices when she wears the circlet… She has been in pain for so long and she finally gets to experience a break from that and Laura played that moment so well, I felt it in my soul.

- Orym hugging Fearne’s legs when they were saying goodbye on the airship and Fearne telling him not to do anything stupid… 🥺 God everything about that goodbye moment hurt. I’m so scared that we’re gonna lose someone during the solstice…

- Fearne and Ashton having a MOMENT… Ashton going in for a hug just to steal something from her, then asking for something precious and irreplaceable and getting a kiss, his quiet little “well shit, that won’t be easy to steal back”… THEY’RE FUCKING CUTE, 10/10 Callowmoore moment.

- Sam’s passion for wanting to pilot that robot Voltron-style. I hope FCG gets to pilot a giant robot body, they deserve it.

fascinated by the staunch insistence from a surprising number of people that Ashton and Laudna have no romantic undertones to their interactions this ep. the shoehorning of them having a "sibling" relationship despite the fact that they behave in no discernible "sibling-like" way other than being friendly with each other. wondering if this is some keyleth & percy dynamic holdover that fandom is clinging onto. I want to pick this fandom apart and discover how it thinks because I simply do not understand
