Sanders Sides theory (rant). I know im mainly a mh acc here but I have thoughts i need to get out there

(just fyi this theory is Roman centric, I know most TSS people nowadays are talking ab Orange and Logan so if Roman's not interesting then continue on 🔥🔥)

Okay so. I was scrolling through Sanders Sides theories and found that no one seems to have this theory, even though I thought the Roman angst enjoyers like me would be writing this all over the place but. Ig that means I need to talk about it.

I've had this theory for years now, since the day I first watched SVS Redux.

I think Roman is going to duck out.

I dont know if I have to explain why but. I mean, just looking at the explosive end SVS Redux had will tell you a lot.

He doesn't belive Patton when he tells him they love him. He thinks Thomas has lost all faith in him in favor of the person Roman views as the epitome of evil. He's been switching views left and right to stay on Patton's side (because Thomas prides himself on his morals), but he always ends up doing something wrong - he always ends up as an antagonist. He no longer believes that he is the one thing that being has kept him stable since "Am I Original?" - Thomas' hero. The only side he has a stable and positive relationship with is VIRGIL of all people. And tbh that could quickly be ruined too. Logan is second, though, but that's EXTREMELY fragile, as we've seen.

Roman always does something wrong and it will and has sent him over the edge. From Roman's perspective, with a very flawed view of everyone around him, he is inherently the thing that flaws Thomas.

+ Roman is really dramatic obviously, so ofc he would do this.

When you look at Virgil's reasonings for ducking out, it seems plausible after everything Roman has gone through recently, too. I mean like:

"I quit. Decided it wasn't worth it anymore"

Why would Roman keep fighting a battle he knows he will never win?

"Well, It didn’t seemed like I was wanted. You all made that pretty clear any time I showed up."

Again, from Roman's perspective, he is constantly and consistently antagonized.

"If I wanted to stand around being insulted, I would've shown up I would've shown up in person like I usually do."

"I actually think you were right to not want me around."

Roman fears that he is becoming the villain (as we see in SVS, SVS Redux and DWIT).

(In fact, Roman has already said something quite similar to that last one in sentiment.

In SVS Redux, Roman says this, which is pretty funny because of the dramatics and the stupidity, and does get shot down quickly, but I am begging you to listen to him.

"The blame falls to me. If you're missing that do-gooder drive... I think It's because I'm in the driver seat... And I'm an awful driver... Perhaps... Perhaps I should let Patton take the wheel.")

(2nd sidenote to the Virgil quotes, can we talk ab Thomas' acting again I just love how tired Virgil is in AA. He's so. Troubled. I love him.)

THIS!! First of all his face makes me so sad BUT SECOND OF ALL yeah. Roman core idk what else to say, you get it right.

Anyway, I think the episode where Roman does this will be centered around depression. Without Roman, Thomas is depressed. Let me explain this further.

Roman is Thomas' creativity, imagination, ego, passion, love, wills and wants, hopes and dreams, aspirations and enthusiasm.

Without any of that, what is left? A guy who can't even will himself out of bed, but can still feel the nagging voice of reason and logic telling him how unreasonable he's being. A guy who cant will himself to talk to friends, family and loved ones, but can still feel sorrow for letting them down and worrying them. A guy who can't will himself to pursue creative content that he relies on for a living but can still feel anxious about letting millions of people down and never being able to create again. A guy who cant even make food for himself or brush his teeth, but still knows he NEEDS to take care of himself. A guy whose only creativity is activly trying to disturb and scare him.

So yeah thats really awesome idk.

Furthermore, I think the sides might be SEVERELY impacted.

It has been said many times over the series that the sides are purely figments of Thomas' IMAGINATION. so. Without Roman, I doubt anything would be left. Obviously, if Roman does duck out, I don’t think they'd all immediately just cease to exist because an episode still needs to occur, but I find it likely that they'd all start slowly fading or maybe even "malfunctioning", glitching, putting them on a timer to get back Roman and making it far more tense.

Is this theory weird?????? I feel like it's the natural progression TO ME but I've seen no one even getting near this and im just confused ghfhfhfh. Maybe it is kind of weird and im just too much of a Roman enthusiast. SORRY I LOVE ANNOYING WEIRDO FREAKS!!!! AND IF I WAS HIM ID DUCK OUT TOO BECAUSE NO ONE IS APPRECIATING HIM ☹️☹️☹️ EVEN THOUGH HE'S LITERALLY WHAT MAKES THOMAS DO THINGS. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

The only difference in these two is obviously that Virgil just silently ducks out, while Roman has the entire "You make us better" speech, probably effectivly saving Virgil and Thomas, because it seems like Virgil was going to insist.

For some reason it seems hard for people to understand a magical fantasy couple in a magical fantasy world outside of real life can have a relationship that's:

Evil (selfish)

Unhealthy

Dark

Morbid

Codependent

Posessive

Obsessive

BUT still be:

Functional

Enjoyable for the couple themselves

FULLY HAPPY

A positive experience for the couple

Just because a certain type of relationship will go a certain type of way in real life, doesn't mean it has to in an excapism fantasy where it wouldn't even need to.

Are Ascended Astarion and my Evil Tav a healthy couple that practice safe boundaries and constructive habits? No, absolutely not. Not at all.

Are they content with one another and able to find complete and utter joy in their union and dynamics in a way that is so overwhelmingly positive for both of them? Yes. And that's the fun of it. Since they don't exist in real life, there's no reason for their story to be tragic unless if I wanted it to be. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nothing about real life matters in this context because I (as the artist and writer for my character and crafter of her story) am not someone who blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, therefore it is safe to indulge in this fantasy and not have to worry about myself wanting to seek this lifestyle in real life.

It's wild to me that so many seem to want to "protect" people from seeing the content and seeking "that sort of relationship" irl. As if it's some infection that will render people mindless. Why think so little of others? Can they not figure out how a block button works? Can they not block tags and keywords? Can they not remove themselves from posts and conversations that make them uncomfortable? Can they not distinguish real life from fantasy? Can they not research BDSM relationship dynamics for real life on their own?

They have google and access to real world communities for healthy couple dynamics in real life. Just as the rest of us do.

While you shouldn't purposely use a trigger against someone, there is no reason for people to censor themselves for roleplaying something innocent and fun, in the way the game intended.

You can disagree, hate AA all you want and that's perfectly fine. But please stop trying to make everyone else who likes him, hate him too. It's counterproductive, it's selfish, inconsiderate, and sometimes borderline victim blaming (when a great many AA fans themselves have trauma experience as well).

Our Tavs and Durges can have a perfectly imperfect relationship with him, be evil and happy with one another as much as we want them to be, and there's no argument against it that makes it a bad, non-canon, or awful thing.

I heard I am enjoying AA the wrong way.

So I accidentally ascended him again and set him and F!Tav to Halestorm "Amen", because the right way to enjoy an RPG is whichever way you have fun, and I won't be moralised at, told I have to play my game the same way another person does or any other of the very silly things we have been told lately as AA enjoyers. Enjoy your game, your way. Ascend him, don't ascend him, just have fun. Ever since I accidentally picked up and played DGS, I knew I needed to play PLVSPW. I decided to alternate playing ace attorney games with professor layton games until I finished the main trilogies for both and could finally play plvspw, and it was so worth the wait. I love this game so much it is everything I could have hoped and more, so so so much more. Highly recommend to honestly anyone!!!

Summary

This game is everything I hoped it would be. yes it's a Professor Layton crossover, but it also has the charm of DGS x Princess tutu x tunic. The ending was very layton-esque, along with all the reveals. I truly had such an amazing time playing this game. I was initially introduced to this because I heard that DGS was inspired by it, so it was my mission to play both aa and pl's original trilogies before playing. And I am so glad I did bc the wait was so worth it. You can absolutely see the influence this game and professor layton had on Shu Takumi. There's so much passion and creativity between plvspw an dgs that makes playing them all the more enjoyable. I loved how all the main characters interacted with each other, I especially loved how hershel and phoenix swapped assistants. The new characters were also so fun. Espella, Barnham, Darklaw, the story-teller, they were all so unique and enjoyable to interact with. The animation was stellar. This 3D style really works for both PL and AA and im so glad both series took inspiration from it. The music and art was phenomenal, this game honestly should win awards if it hasn't already done so. I also love how any character pulled into an aa game will have their gay moments: phoenix x hershel and espella x eve especially. I can't wait to make art or even write for this game, I will definitely add scenes from this to my ballet au ^^! What a phenomenal game, what a fun premise with the most convoluted layton-esque ending. It was so perfectly I highly recommend!!

s2e3 rewatch notes

One more before the weekend...

"When I was a kid anything that would give me some type of excitement, or amusement or enjoyment would get fucked ... Sometimes they'd try too hard, or they'd make promises they weren't able to keep" - everything in Carmy's AA statement can be related to cooking, the restaurant, drawing, Claire - pretty much the sum of Carmy's parts now.

Second Carmy/Syd kitchen scene:

Carmy is always the first to ask about anyone's parents (but only to Syd) - just like he inquires about Syd's Dad, his first concern is to ask about Marcus' mom while they debate sending him to Copenhagen. Family and people, in general, are always at the forefront of his mind, while progression is always at the forefront of Syd's (even if she does genuinely cares and checks in, it's secondary)

Carmy's "I want to make a suggestion" to go out was so loaded - it was obviously a premeditated move that he wanted to do the food tour with Syd. "I think WE need to go out, and we need to try some stuff"

After he tells her he'll see her in an hour, Goodbye Girl by Squeeze starts playing, and the track ends as Tina realizes that Ebra isn't ever going to be by her side in class *dies twice*

Richie dropping off his daughter: I have a precocious 6-year-old daughter as well and.....they tried to squeeze way too many lines into Eva to advance Richie's storyline when it should have come via Tiff or something - I hate being a negative nelly, but this part is so botched/lifetime drama-y.

(His obvious tenderness is sweet though)

10:44am call with Claire: this is only 2ish hours after his AA talk - I guess the subject matter was resonating with him?

Her forcing the convo on how ingratiated she is with his family makes me throw up my hands and say "no wonder the guy had a fucking panic attack later!". I was just highlighting how in AA how his family tries too hard sometimes - this is a prime example with her "I know all the fuckin' Faks" jousting.

And my god, she knew he was about to tell her that he was busy today, and she claps back "can you not make this weird?" - it literally harkens back to his family's bullying and expectations that Carmy will pacify them. (I know she can't know all this, but damn)

This part of the conversation gets its own bullet point:

"You know, he [Fak] told me that you guys are really close and that he's your best friend" - I didn't realize the first go around how bold the attempt at enmeshment was. With Fishes as context, the toxicity levels in this conversation are off the rails.

Also, her demented smile when she says "really?" when he says "no...no, Fak's not my best friend" - aggghhhh!

"No, no. He is. He's probably my best friend"

What the hell is this? "That's interesting, to sit with, for you" with the continued weird little smile -this isn't flirting, this is her relishing in the fact that she can manipulate him.

Why didn't I clue into how caustically fucked this scene was the first time? I think I was so distracted by the whispy dialogue and cadence of the conversation that I actually blacked out of the dialogue. Thank goodness for subtitles, because this script is mildly psychotic to read.

I know Storer said that one of the themes of this season is "winning is losing" - Claire is definitely playing to win at all costs. Is s2e10 showing that she lost? Or am I sitting through this dialogue again next season? I NEED TO KNOW.

Anyways, Secret Teadrops by Martin Rev (google the lyrics) plays as sydney enters Kasama - God, the music suggests she was thrilled to be spending a day out of the usual context with Carmy, and her checking her phone constantly is killing me.

Twenty Five Miles by Edwin Starr starts playing at the start of the food montage, just as Sydney gets the text from Carmy that she'll be doing it alone.

"I've been walking for three days and two lonely nights, and you know that I'm mighty mad"

After the owner of Avec tells her that she needs a great partner above all else, the lyrics blare again with "although my feet are tired, I can't lose my stride" - she can't abandon faith in Carmy just yet.

After the Pelican meats scene where the butcher (I forget his name, sorry!) tells Syd that he and his wife lost their restaurant in Bucktown after a business partner cut and ran, the song again blares with "I'm SO tired, but I just can't lose my stride"

Syd starts to adjust her language to "I'm not exactly solo" in the next restaurant scene- ugh - painful.

Enter conversations about profit sharing. Naiya assumes that she and Carmy are INVOLVED involved, and when she finds out they're just "gentleman's agreement" partners, she basically tells her to watch her back. Syd registers the statement, but looks so dejected, like she knows she's on a fool's errand now.

The lyrics flare one last time simply with "I've got to walk on"

Cue Carmy's phone going to voicemail as she has the jitters on the loading dock. She looks so sad, but also resigned to her fate at this point.

Sydney calls Marcus right after trying to call Carmy looking for any kind of sign or reinforcement. We're at the triangle again, with Marcus interpreting it one way, and Syd....really not reading anything into it at all.

I feel like Fak making fun of Marcus for "looking forward' with that big, dumb smile on his face means he knows Marcus' affection for Sydney.... and I'm starting to realize all the plots I don't like are the result of Fak's intuition and/or meddling.

Syd awkwardly trying to poach BOH workers is adorably baller and shows how aggressive she is just now realizing she needs to become- and she's so terrible at it, and I love her.

Future Perfect by Duretti Column (what an awesome deep cut) playing - I love that this part of the montage is Syd diving deep into herself and her more analytically-bent creative process and fuck everyone else. It's just her carrying the creative load of the restaurant right now, but she's truly free.

Lyrics repeat "You tell me stories, you speak in pictures"

She's being absolutely present ("Don't live in the future") and letting the food and the city that birthed it speak to her honestly and it's just so beautiful. The old family pictures surface in her memory alongside the plates she's crafting - her own contribution to the chaos menu, her past and present combined, her future (The Bear) undetermined.

Back to The Bear with "Make You Happy" by Tommy McGee playing in the background - I feel like enough ink has been spilled on this scene, but honestly read the lyrics here - ack.

One small observation after Carmy says "I'll let you know" - in the background, Marcus looks completely defeated, Fak's suppressing a laugh or something, and we get Richie's "ooooooohhhhhhh!"while Carm gives him dagger eyes. Y'all....these are not great men.

Syd rightfully realizes she needs to get the fuck away from everyone in that instant if she's going to do anything productive with the inspiration she's culled from her day of exploration and calls in the favor from the kitchen. I love that it almost immediately cuts to her there with her emotional support spoon 🥺

The ravioli failure - i.e. the fantasy vision of the food she had on the plate during her journey day not matching the reality of what she can craft on her own = the fantasy vision of the restaurant/life she could craft with Carmy not matching the reality of what she can is forced to craft on her own.

‘Favorite’ is super subjective, always, but I am answering with fics that live-rent free in my brain or that I return to often. But my list of fics to read is super long and I’m sure nearly all of those are great too! Just haven’t gotten to them yet.

In NO particular order-

A leaf in the wind is all I want - by Anonymous (or @distortedclouds) - Beautiful one-shot of Annie and Armin eloping :) But EVERYTHING they write is incredible!

Paranoid- by Flailingkittylover ( @flailingkittylover ) - An amazing Cadets Aruani slow burn. There are moments from this fic that made me literally tear up, especially chapters/moments in Annie’s POV. I downloaded this on my e-reader so I can enjoy it over and over again

Moments- by lady_shudragon- Both works in this little series are great, but I chose the smutty one to recommend. Armin is such a supportive and caring partner in this and it makes me weak every time I read it.

Village By the End of the World - by moonspirits ( @moonspirit ) - One of the best fics I have read in any fandom, currently ongoing. The situations and conflicts the characters are placed in Post-Rumbling lead to such interesting developments. The characterization feels so lovingly accurate and canonical while also being unpredictable enough to keep you hooked. Bonus points for some beautiful narrative foils achieved through some engaging original characters. All the praise!

Silhouettes- by jelly - I am not usually a modern-AU enjoyer, but this fic is downright literary even for a one-shot and it makes such interesting use of the reincarnation trope. Reads like a fever dream in the best way possible.

To Be Human by brittle_bluebell ( @brittlebluebell )- A fantastic ‘first-time’ smut fic, but it’s honestly so much more than that. Great explorations of all of Armin’s and Annie’s relationships with the Alliance characters and their fears and anxieties Post-Rumbling

Dawn by aikrm- Perspective on Armin and Annie as new parents from Levi’s POV. Absolutely lovely. Falbi is here too.

washed in the tide of your breathing- by alyalyanime - A great Annie-centric retrospective on her feelings for Armin. I love the symmetry of this writing.

By Each Crime and Kindness (I’m bound to you) - by aruanimess ( @aruanimess ) - Currently ongoing. I have a Cadets Aruani agenda, and I love fics that depict awkward teenage relationships accurately. Love the sense of humor that is present within both tense and tender moments. Excited to see where this fic leads.

Warmth- by orphan_account (wish I knew who this was!! It used to be listed!) - Another cute Cadets Aruani fic. “And there was only one tent” trope- need I say more?

In conclusion, though, if you’re writing in the Aruani fandom, I think you’re awesome and it’s only a matter of time before I read your fic tbh because the brainrot has taken hold.

Priority Research 7 Predictions - Iris Orthodoxy

Ah, the Iris. At the time of writing this post, we don't quite know if they're the CN 7th Anniversary faction or not, meaning they could be getting a gacha UR.

In this list I will also mention some possible DRs of them. Because I think they deserve more than what they already have - no offense to Brest enjoyers, she's very cool.

Colbert

Let's make one thing very clear:

Colbert was built in Brest in the 1960s, and served until 1972 as a light cruiser. Colbert did exist in real life, which would disqualify her from being a PR; however, she served at the beginning of the Cold War period, meaning I do not care.

Colbert was designed as an AA cruiser, the last of the ships France would classify as "cruisers" before adopting the term "frigate" for them.

She has a total of 16 low calliber 127mm guns in 8 turrets, guns which have a sub-4s reload time and have a considerable fire starting chance of 7%. Might not seem like much, but when you're getting bombarded with around 270 of these shells per minute, that quickly adds up.

Colbert could make for a very fun little DR light cruiser, even if realistically she will never be a PR.

Bourgogne

Talking about DRs, Bourgogne is a classic.

Being a sidegrade to Alsace at one tier higher (Tier 10), Bourgogne is an excellent pesky battleship. As usual with French battleships, she gets an engine boost; and if Alsace is anything to go by (I don't have Bourgogne lmao), she can easily reach 39 knots.

Her 12 380mm guns have a reload of 28s, to compensate for their low calliber at such a high tier; on top of having each a 36% fire starting chance. She's not quite HMS Conqueror or HMS St. Vincent levels of cringe, but she can be an HE spammer with no problems.

And if an enemy ship gives you a tempting broadside, her AP is not disappointing. Despite the low calliber, French shells are fast and hit hard.

Picardie

I sincerely hope we do not get Picardie in Azur Lane. She's utterly disappointing.

Picardie is a Tier 8 retrofit of Lyon, which swaps her perfectly fine and usable 340mm guns with pathetically weak 305mm guns. They have awful HE and AP penetrations, and not even her reload boost can save her.

However... Azur Lane has a track record of turning disappointing WoWs ships into fascinating PR shipgirls, so there's some hope.

PR rarity, of course. Just look at her bruh

Carnot

Certainly one of the ships of all time. Carnot is a supecruiser, much like Brest; but she's considerably different in terms of design. She has, for starters, ten 305mm guns; which is the most any supercruiser her tier has - Alaska, Ägir, Kronshtadt have 9, Siegfried has 6 (albeit 380mm), and Brest has 8. Her reload is subpar, however; at 22 seconds.

Her speed is very good, as it's mandatory of all French ships. Her armor is way too big to be good, as her deck sits high above the waterline, giving her plenty of large, flat, mediocre armor. Easy to penetrate with sufficiently large guns.

She works well as a PR, although I can see her being a DR as well.

Henri IV

Henri IV is the primordial French supercruiser. She's technically still just a heavy cruiser, armed with 240mm guns.

Once the queen of speed, Henri was nerfed to the ground a few years ago. Now, her acceleration speed is horrible, and her turning radius and rudder shift have also been nerfed, making her considerably less maneuverable.

Still, Henri IV could be an interesting older sister to Saint Louis; maybe even a DR.

Condé

While I'm not sure about Henri IV's rarity, I am certain Condé would be DR.

Condé is a bigger, better Henri IV, with quadruple 240mm gun turrets and access to a speed boost, a gun reload boost, and a burst fire mode which allows her to fire her guns every 1.5s for 2 salvos.

Condé is very good with what's known as a lighthouse build, which consists of making her as visible as possible.

The problem with Condé is the same as Yamagiri from the Sakura Empire prediction post - she's a Tier 11, and we have not gotten any Tier 11 yet. However, Condé is one of the most well known and beloved/hated Tier 11 ships, meaning she's way more popular.

I will always stand with Gortash enjoyers over delulu Ascended Astarion girlies.

Ithink it's fair to say Ascended Astarion apologists just do a very similar thing Cazador did to him: they rob him of his autonomy not by violence and compulsion but by babying him and trying to justify his actions to themselves and everyone.

I love Gortash as a character. Orin has me fascinated because of her actress. They are both horrible. I don't think I need to expend on Orin, but Gortash is very much setting up bomb teddy bears for refugee children for kicks and giggles. And I love him for it.

Gortash is also traumatized. He was also a child slave at some point. He also was robbed of his autonomy . But Gortash enjoyers don't baby him. He is horrible. He not only perpetuates the cycle of violence, he takes it a step further. Just like Ascended Astarion.

It's fine to find AA sexy, desirable, fun, whatever. Do whatever the fuck you want this is why it's an choices-matter-RPG. It's fine to enjoy him as he is this dominant sexy vampire lord who is obsessed with your character if that's your thing. He is a Fantasy, enjoy it however rocks your boat (hehe). It is, however, utterly ridiculous in most unflattering ways for them to try to prove that AA gives a fuck, is still in love, and actually not that bad a person. No, he is isn't on all accounts. AA is nothing but Cazador 2.0 whose weapon isn't violence but manipulation and seduction he had learned over 200 years. And, of course, unprecedented power.

Minthara isn't going through that. Sharran Shadowheart isn't going through that. Gortash isn't going through that. And I am fascinated that only Astarion is. Why? Is it the pretty privilege? Is it the need for the perfect victim? I want to study AA apologists under the microscope.

I appreciate all the love Jared gets an non-CE cons, and the absence of hellers must be really refreshing. However, I have been to CE cons and I've never personally encountered an issue when someone found out I was a Jared fan, or seen anyone blatantly disrespect him (in front of me or others I know). I am ABSOLUTELY NOT saying this never happens to him, or other Jared fans, because I’ve heard the stories or shitty questions during panels. But, there seems to be this idea of Twitter and Tumblr that CE cons are this toxic, hostile environment for bath Jared and his fans, and that just hasn’t been my experience. We see an incident online, and then it becomes this huge thing and we see hellers or AAs making dumbass comments about him online, but most of them aren’t even at the cons. The cons themselves, while you’re there, are pretty chill. Or the ones I’ve been to have been. The biggest drama I remember from one was a heller bringing destiel art for Misha to sign and him being pissed about it (no sympathy for the heller in chief from me), and a girl lying about what Jensen said about writing a song about Cas and Cas being in The Winchesters during a M&G (he confirmed nothing and the heller blatantly lied).

I guess all I’m trying to say with this post is, while I understand people enjoy seeing Jared away from the strictly Jen-Mish fans (and I agree it is nice to have little to no drama at a con), I wish people would stop acting like CE cons are these wildly hostile environments where Jared and his fans are dodging constant bullets. Or, rather, I hope people know that Jared is very loved and appreciated at CE cons, too, despite what fans sometimes fixate on. I don’t fault him for branching out from CE at all, but I think it’s more a smart career move than him disliking the CE atmosphere ( of course I could be wrong). Anyway, I’m not saying people should not be happy to see Jared at cons away from the delusional jerks of the fandom, I’m just trying to reassure that he is well-loved everywhere he goes, with only some exceptions.

I'm glad to hear he's loved at CE cons, as well. I think when compounded together, the seemingly isolated incidents tend to paint a picture that there are more assholes attending CE cons than what there appear to be.

I will say, as someone who gets second-hand enjoyment from cons like Atlanta, where it's just Jared and Gen, it's rather nice to enjoy the online environment without having to worry hellers or AAs deliberately tweeting out misinterpretations of what was said or spouting hate about Jared for something as simple as talking during a panel.

I am grateful that Jared's branching outside of CE cons, regardless of the reasons why, simply because it allows a wider array of fans the opportunity to meet him (myself included) by attending locations not typically visited by CE, and often, at cheaper prices.

It's Sunday. I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite Scottish traditional songs, with a twist:

This is a polka from the Borders and it originated in Ireland, where it has a different name (Spanish Lady) and different lyrics. If you are curious, you can find a 1977 live recording of The Dubliners on YouTube. IMHO, it is not nearly as enjoyable as the one I am posting here.

I listened to it for a gazillion times, even belted the chorus off the top of my lungs when completely plastered many, many years ago, almost in another life ago.

But never paid attention to this, until this afternoon:

Rings a bell? It should, because of this:

Funnily enough, this puts to rest once and for all, at least to me, the Ghost Dilemma that never really was. That was and could only be JAMMF, standing in the rain outside Mrs. Baird's B&B in Inverness.
