It's completely baffling to me the difference between Twitter and Tumblr that I've personally experienced.

On Twitter I saw a cute little c!beeduo fan art that got deleted like 2 days later becauss "it could maybe be taken as romantic I'm so sorryyyyyy :((" (I have edited that for dramatization purposes, no hate to the artist).

Here I could post "c!beeduo in gay love forever they're smoochin as we speak" And the crowds would cheer

(Just adding a little note here this is in no way hating on the artist that made said fan art, they have every right to post and delete their art as they please. I just used it as an example. Also if you're reading this go hydrate ^^ )

Nothing sealed in the Wet Cat Trying His Best But Doing the Worst like Hitting on 16. It wasn't the best story on AO3 I've ever read, and YES the formatting was atrocious, but man, the dedication cc!Wilbur had to telling his little RP story. He'd been ghosted, brushed off, had his own illness and travel plans derail things and STILL desperately wanted to wrap up a story with his little Minecraft guy.

He wanted it to the point that he was willing to open himself up to ridicule and memes by trying a completely new format. And yeah, the parasocial vibes are there. I just... I respect the dedication and love for storytelling. I loved the character moments.

So I don’t like RPS it’s one of my personal icks. But I think the reason why I really don’t like it is because a lot of loud “fans” are in fact truthers. It happened with Dan and Phil (and although it was correct doesn’t mean spectacularly peoples relationships or personal identities is okay) it happened with Shubble so she had to pretend to be someone’s cousin and it happened with both DNF and Beeduo.

Made me turned off from RPF on tumblr or ao3 for in fear I’ll run into people theorising on what Mumbo and Grian did together on their minecraft earth trip. Seen a post like that, I blocked straight away.

Thank goodness I haven’t run into it in the last year or so. If you want to ship real people then do it in your own bubble and I’ll stay in mine. But the moment I see “does Falsesymmetry is gay?” that isn’t a meme but truthing a real human being’s life in the main fucking tags it’s blocked on site.

Trying so hard to not be Cringe and Annoying but I do miss the 2021 era dsmp. I do a lot. Frequently. I miss the way it felt, I miss the content, I miss the vibes, I miss the music, I miss the cosplayers and fanfics and the fandom despite all the conflicts. I miss TommyInnit being the funniest motherfucker I'd ever had the pleasure of watching (he still is but I don't watch his stuff as much) and I miss the cbeeduo lore and I miss just beginning to leave quarantine at home and watching Twitter and Tumblr for stuff relating to the beeduo meetup and the latest Tommy mod videos and actually watching MCC. I miss binge reading Passerine and crying enough that I emptied one of those giant jugs of water meant to last the day. I miss the annoying and cringey memes and being able to talk about lore with my friends and making friends in the VCs of Ranboo or Wilbur's discord server. Sorry. The nostalgia got me.

i love the idea that michaels into drawing a lot like he loves drawing and absolutely draws on the walls for a bit before ranboo finally buys one of those giant rolls of paper and lays it out on the floor for him. i also think hes an animal kid like imagine coming to the overworld and suddenly theres all these cool new animals youve never seen. he absolutely has the zoobooks tiger poster is all im saying.

sorry I'm the ranboo anon I did not mean to imply that ranboo like experienced more homophobia than dream. the way people reacted differently to their coming outs was genuinely insane. I was just adding that it's very possible ranboo experienced homophobia in a place that we might see as overall accepting. And I wasn't referring to beeduo truthers as much as the violent mob of leaktwit that was obsessed with beeduo (and doxxed him because of their obsession with him and it)

Oh well idk what your point was exactly then? Like I’m sure Ranboo’s faced homophobia everyone’s been called a gay slur or two in their lives but I was talking about oppression… like Ranboo was waiting as a meme after years of seeing Dream and other CCs ruthlessly torn apart for “queerbaiting” to be accused of the same thing so he could come out. That speaks to someone not at all afraid or ever ashamed of who they are. Which is amazing and I am so so grateful for that experience even being able to exist. But when Ranboo enables their fans who largely have had the same experience as Ranboo to behave like a senator from the 1950s then I do see a problem. I see a massive problem because it means someone who lives in a state that’s most accepting franchise is Disney for the sake of milking money out of gays is having his life at risk because some kid in England justified their fans behaviors by saying homophobia is funny.

And yeah I mean lktwt are fucking freaks about every CC esp faceless ones they take personal insult to the concept of someone hiding something from them. Like they think it’s their job to expose them. I’m glad every day I never saw Corpse or Ranboo’s face leaks. No one should be under the attention of those people it’s vile and I’m sorry for everyone who’s had to deal with it.

Feral Bastards and Evil Gods both caught my attention (for the WIP ask meme)

These both actually have things posted for them!

Feral Bastards is the working title of my fic series hold me softly (kill me softer) which is a Dream/Technoblade-centric DSMP AU. It's a hero/villain enemies-to-friends-to-lovers starcrossed-lovers fantasy AU thing. There's four works out currently and quite a bit written but not posted; I have the whole arc of the plot mapped out, there's just a lot of actual technical writing to do. If you like deeply explored fictional cosmology and religion, court politics, and idiots being in love without realizing it, then stay tuned! There's a lot more to come.

A snippet from a future Feral Bastards fic (apologies if I've already posted this):

"The temple of the Blood God is an ugly thing.

Oh sure, it’s objectively beautiful. Gilded marble columns and thick crimson tapestries with detailed embroidery. Towering pale stone walls and looming stained glass windows and frightening multi-colored bonfires. Smooth obsidian floors polished to a mirror sheen, reflecting back the world in dark and twisted tones. The whole place reeks of riches and opulence and dominance.

It also reeks of death and war and torment.

Subjectively it is the worst place Dream has ever been to. There is not a shred of living things in the temple or the surrounding area; nothing vibrant and natural and growing. No trees or flowers or grass, just cold stone and hot metal and sleek fabric. The prizes of war are on full display here – gold and jewels, well-oiled weapons, taxidermied beasts and . . . people. Dream shivers under the watchful eyes of the dead."

Evil Gods is the working title for my now-dubbed Water AU, the main fic of which is secrets like seashells under your tongue, of which there is a chapter up and posted. Again, there is a lot of this AU that's already outlined / plotted out, but there is a bulk of writing that still needs to be done. When that happens will be . . . someday! Bit by bit! But slowly and surely we will get there. This one is a lot more beeduo and benchtrio-centric, with again, lots of fictional gods and goddesses and worldbuilding surrounding that. I also do some fun things with magic and Minecraft mechanics and spies / assassins / espionage in this one! And marine biology. Listen, I pretty much took all my niche interests and hyperfixations and squished them all into one story. It's fun.

A snippet from a future part of Water AU:

"Tubbo was going to get so much done today, it was going to blow people's minds. He was going to sit down, get shit done, and be productive. He was going to accomplish everything on his list, and then he was going to make a new list, and then he was going to get everything on that list done, too. He was going to-

"OW, FUCK, SHIT!" Tubbo yells.

He's gone sprawled across the floor, shin smarting from catching on whatever the hell he's tripped over. Seriously, who leaves stuff out in the lab? Tubbo is going to blame Jack. Tubbo rubs his chin where it's bruised from his date with the floor and glares back at the offending tripping hazard. Then he's scrambling back up to his feet.

"Holy shit, holy shit, why is there a body in my lab!?" Tubbo turns the body over, and it groans.

Tubbo reels back, but the guy doesn't move. Doesn't seem conscious, really - his eyes are closed and his face is pale and sweaty and his pale blonde hair is sticking to him like strings of taffy. There's also the strange embalming-fluid scent of magical decay hanging in the air, and something like ichor seeping through the guy's shirt. Tubbo glances down at his own hands and grimaces. The ichor is thick and stains like ink, but it's closer to oil or blood in texture. That's . . . absolutely not sanitary.

"Who the hell are you," Tubbo mutters.

The guy doesn't respond, so Tubbo starts rifling through his pockets. There's a concerning number of knives for a normal person (Tubbo appreciates the number of knives this guy has), a ledger full of code, a bag of diamonds and emeralds and lapis lazuli and redstone, and a bunch of potions. Other than the thick gold necklace around the guy's neck, there's nothing else of note. Oh, yeah, and the gaping hole through his chest leaking black ichor.

There's that."

🖋 : a couple potential plot/dynamic ideas || plots meme

Hello! Nice to meet you, and thank you for sending an ask in!! I took a look over your muse list, so here are some dynamics I would be interested in:

Drunz and anything Dream Team-related. I said this yesterday in another post, but they’re probably my favorites. I would happily indulge in just about any plot with them. We could even do angst, if you’re interested, and dive into the trickier parts of their canon interactions.

Bench Trio. Any of their dynamics bring me so much joy… even when they themselves aren’t happy lol. Out of them, I write Ranboo, and I would love to see AlliumDuo or BeeDuo interactions. These could take place in canon, in AUs, or even in a “season two” situation (i.e., after the reset).

Wilbur and Ranboo. They were the first dynamic I wrote for from the DSMP! I love their conflicting worldviews and beliefs, and exploring that contrast is a blast to write.

Jack Manifold. I’m actually bouncing off the walls seeing it on your list. I would love love love to write an interaction between Manifold and literally ANY of my characters. He’s so underrated.

In general, I’m happy to get any sort of pairing, platonic or otherwise! So, if you have a dynamic in mind, you can always poke me about it. I love getting the chance to explore less-popular relations as well, which means I’ll rarely turn anything down.
