WIP preview for the Hyrule-centric LU fan comic I've been working on in my free time 👀
I really want to work on this, but also I am very busy rn, so we'll see when I actually get it finished :,) But like since this is theoretically in part an art blog I thought I should probably post some art even if it is just a WIP like this.
Its all over now people i have been granted incredible power! Ty to @claiborneart for showing me how to operate a laser cutter eehehe. He turned out beautiful, and i love him🥹
Under the cut: some shots of the cutter in motion, and some process and color test shots.
Here was the original sketch i’d based the linework off. Actually the first drawing of Jim I’d done while i was learning how he worked! The second image are the final lines i used(minus the sparkle, which i added later) for the cutter, and an idea of where i wanted the outside cutlines to be.
I sent that through the cutter program and made a bunch of him!
These are some tests i’d done on a few duds to pick out and practice painting the colors:
After that I went assembly line mode and painted each one extremely carefully one color at a time using the tests as reference!
I take your thirst watching and raise you 'guilt watching'. This is when you are obsessed with an actor and while going through their movies and shows you come across real fucked up roles. Roles where they are horrible irredeemable characters. And you watch it anyway because you're a fan of their work. And you sit there the whole time watching it thinking like... the character is horrible, but the actor is still good looking. And you know they're not like that in reality, that they'd never be that horrible (or at least you hope well at least you'd hope not), and you don't condone the character at all and it's making you really uncomfortable, but you can't stop the part of your brain that is still thirsting over the actor. It's hate watching, and it's thirst watching and it makes you feel guilty.
i think we as a society don’t talk enough about leo’s trauma because my man gets his arm and his leg crushed trying to save his family and then proceeds to get teased by his family for not being bionic enough when the whole reason he’s bionic is because he was trying to save them and he got hurt and especially his leg is treated like a joke the whole time, and then he finally finds a new way to combine his and his friends powers and it blinds his friend which hurt him so much that he quit?? he spends all four seasons begging to be bionic but this affected him so much he quits, only coming back because his family is in danger (again)
anyways i love him
THIS IS THE EXACT REASON WHY HIS AND DOUGLAS' FRIENDSHIP WAS SO NEEDED!!! IF THEY TOOK A BIT OF TIME TO LOOK INTO DOUGLAS PAST AND HOW HEAVILY THAT AFFECTED HIS CHARACTER, IT WOULD BE SO EASY TO TELL THAT HE AND LEO WOULD MIRROR EACH OTHER!! DOUGLAS, STREET TURNING OVER A NEW LEAF, WOULD BE AND TO BE THE PERSON FOR LEO THAT HE DESPERATELY NEEDED!!! THIS WOULD ALLOW LEO TO PROPERLY DEVELOP INTO THE BIONIC HERO THAT HE'S ALWAYS WANTED TO BE AND WOULD ALLOW DOUGLAS TO BE MORE THAN JUST COMEDY RELIEF, COMEDY RELIEF (EVIL), AND A SECOND DONALD!!!
