Sunset - Bellamione

At sunset, she transformed. Not into some kind of hideous monster, no werewolf or vampire, but something different.

The darkness overtook her, and she shielded herself away, for fear of harming Hermione.

When the sky darkened, so did her thoughts. She couldn’t escape her past, the twisted beliefs beaten into her by generations of Blacks, it consumed her.

Violent with rage, trapped in the cellar, where she belonged, she shot curses at the wall, not caring if they reverberated back to her - some nights, she hoped they did, if only to silence her mind.

She’d exhaust herself, then sleep restlessly, plagued with nightmares, for a few short hours, and wake with the sunrise, despite the darkness of the room. The locking charm would be gone, and a small breakfast, toast and fruit and a glass of water to soothe the throat that had screamed all night, waited for her.

She’d eat it, composing herself, and find Hermione waiting for her in the library, always wearing a sympathetic look. She’d apologise, and Hermione would tell her not to - it couldn’t be helped.

Just once, she’d like to spend the night curled up together, asleep, but the curse ravaged her, forever cureless.

from this year, this is sooo hard. i am forever in love with my summer theater au which i'm still working on but also i really liked how "mouths to be kissed before mouths to be fed" turned out.

10. What work was the quickest to write?

i have a bunch of fics under 400 words and those were all very quick to write.

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

i have two multichapter fics (one caos, one tww) on my main account which i'll be working on next year, but I also want to write a multichapter bellamione fic and finish that one ginny/narcissa queen/knight fic that i started and never finished.

21. How many kudos in total did you get this year?

on my main account 1,635 and on my second account 1,884 which is surprising since the second one has way less fics- i suppose the fics are just for more popular fandoms.

I’ve started working on Chapter 10 of Every Little Thing (part 3 in the Shades of Grey series). This is a big chapter… the election results are in and we will find out how is elected as the next Minister for Magic. I’ve only started writing but I wanted to share the opening sequence with you because I won’t be posting or working on anything else until this is done… then next comes the Bellamione wedding. “I’m going to vomit,” Hermione said as she paced back and forth in the sitting room of the manor wringing her wrists trying to take deep breaths. Today was the day she had been working towards since her accident. The new Minister for Magic was being selected this afternoon in front of the Wizengamot and to say that she was nervous was an understatement. If she lost, her life would go on as usual, she was getting married to the love of her life in a week but she would be disappointed. “I’m going to vomit,” she repeated, stopping her movements and looking at the women sitting in the parlor chairs watching her. “This whole thing was a mistake,” she started pacing again.

“Love,” the eldest Black sister said, “you need to relax. You are going to leave pace marks on the floor if you keep this up.” Hermione shot her a glare and she retracted, “now is not the time for jokes,” she turned to look at her sister, “stop making jokes.”

“Me?” Andy held her hand up to her chest, “I haven’t said a bloody thing all morning.” She looked at her sister, “best behavior as always dear sister. Hermione, sweetheart,” the brunette stopped pacing to look at the sisters, “it’s going to be fine. The hospital is ready and amazing. You have so much love and support in the Wizengamot seats. I won’t say that this is in the bag but,” she smiled and shrugged.

“As much as I hate to admit it,” Bella scoffed, “she’s right, pet. You’ve worked so hard on this campaign. Skeeter, Malfoy and Dolohov aside, this is yours to win.”

“I don’t know,” she sighed and sat down next to her fiancé, her face buried in her hands. “I’m just so afraid of failure. If I lose, I will fixate on it forever. What could I have done differently? Why didn’t they like me? Is it because I’m muggleborn? What couldn’t I offer the people of the Wizarding World?”

“Hermione,” Bella put her finger under her chin and lifted Hermione’s head until they met eyes. “You are worrying about the what ifs. I know what it’s like to feel like a failure. I know with my entire being that you don’t have anything to worry about. If I didn’t think you had this in you, I would’ve been honest with you from the start. I’ve been around a long time, pet. No minister has ever had the passion, drive, intelligence and understanding that you can bring to the people. Pure bloods, half bloods, muggleborns… hell even the muggles will be lucky to have you as their Minister for Magic.” Hermione’s cheeks blushed and she tried to turn her head but Bell stopped her, looking deep into her eyes. “You’ve got this. Everyone is pulling for you. Don’t let Skeeter’s articles get in your head. If something unexpected happens and that asshole gets elected, I’ll burn the ministry down,” she smirked.

“Why do I feel like that isn’t a joke?” She wiped a stray tear that had escaped during Bella’s speech.

“Because our Lord would never fail us,” Andy smirked.

“Andromeda,” Bella warned, “do yourself a favor an add something constructive or fuck off.”

“She’s right Hermione,” Andy saw Bella nod, “they’d be stupid not to elect you. Just look at what you’ve managed to accomplish with Mungos in less than a year's time. The Wizarding World needs your drive and ingenuity.” Hermione managed a small smile, “plus,” Andy’s smile turned menacing, “I plan to punch Skeeter whether you get elected or not but if it doesn’t go your way, I’ll help Bella burn the place down.”

“Please don’t burn anything down on my behalf,” Hermione tried to suppress her laugh.

“Oh no,” Bella shook her head, “if there is a need for arson, I’m not going to stifle it.”

“Fair enough,” Hermione shrugged.

“That’s my girl,” Bella pulled her in and kissed her forehead. “Now, put your suit on and get ready, we have to leave in like twenty minutes. Can’t be late. Surely that’s frowned on.”

Hermione started to make her way out of the room but turned around, “House of Black.”

“What’s that pet?”

“I don’t know why I didn’t put it together sooner. How could I be so stupid. All of the ancient and noble houses have seats on the Wizengamot. So, The House of Black has a seat. You’ll be in there with me,” Hermione’s smile immediately faltered when she noticed the look on Bella’s face. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Well yes,” Bella wiped her hand down her face, “the House of Black does have a seat in the Wizengamot.”

“So you’ll be with me?”

“No,” she saw Hermione's face fall. “After I was reinstated as the rightful Heir to the House of Black, they told me my seat was open. I told them to shove their seat up their asses and that I didn’t want to have anything to do with the ministry. This was years before I started working for them but my sentiments remain. They can go fuck themselves. I abdicated my seat.”

“To who?”

Andy smiled, “see you in court, kitten.”

“Go get ready,” Bella nudged Hermione out of the room before turning back and shaking her head. “Kitten?”

“What?”

“Are you ever going to move out of here?”

“You’d miss me too much if I ever left,” Andy cackled.

“That’s debatable.”

Friendship is to read a fic with someone, and comment your thoughts after each chapter. Friendship is to finish reading a fic together and express your expectations at the beginning of it and your thoughts afterwards, it's to dissect each dialogue and read between the tightest lines, it's to dive into the depths of the potagonst's and antagonist's lives and find out what makes them tick, discover why they can't get emotionally attached to anyone, why the protagonist can forgive the biggest of sins and why the antagonist can't get emotionally attached to even a fly. Friendship is analyzing why a character said they couldn't love instead of can't love and realizing something within them has changed and that now, they might finally have the chance to feel something. Friendship is to text each other the moment you realize this and dive into yet another web of theories as to what caused this and where this could lead.

Friendship is to destroy both your lives and devote yourselves to a ship that canon will never accept or acknowledge. It's to love the fics and OTP so much that you fall into a depressive spiral if you ever read the death of the antagonist, and the only person who can understand your pain and pull you out of the sad sea of fiction is them.

Friendship is to lose yourself in the imaginary works of fictional words with them, and to not need anything else, ask for nothing else, and never want out.

Thank you for that input on that anti-ship post. If I hadn’t seen your rebuttal I might have not seen the core of the issue. Honestly if they don’t like a ship just hush and block/unfollow as needed. Ship hate is just about as bad as Snape hate on here sometimes and it’s tiring. ily 😘

I think the main problem with people being against Remadora (more so than people being against a Snamione with a Legally Aged Hermione aka 18+, because Snamione was not canon and Remadora was) is that there are loads of people who are in age gaps of 10+ years in real life.

Being anti the age element of Remadora is like saying “Screw everyone in age gap relationships,” even though Lupin’s main reason for rejecting Tonks initially was his Lycanthrophy which he was terrified of inflicting on her and any potential child of theirs.

As someone who is in an age disparate relationship it is also the reason why I can more easily visualize and understand a relationship with an age gap, which many haters or antis of the relationship are not in a position to personally comprehend.

There is zero shame in shipping Snamione. The implication with Anti-Snamione is that everyone who does ship is a creep who likes to read about illegal relationships with minors aka ped*philia. WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE. Typically the reason why people ship Snamione is because they thought Hermione not only deserved someone different or “better” than Ron on an intellectual level but also because they think Hermione would be happier in a relationship with someone older, like when she dated Viktor. Btw I’m not into Ron bashing; he was an excellent strategist. The reason for shipping as we all know is usually based both in 1.) imagination and 2.) wishful thinking and 3.) PURE THIRST. (Lmao)

In some ways shipping Snape with Hermione was inspired by the dynamic we saw between her and Viktor who is also a dark mysterious person who excels in Dark Arts.

Another reason why people ship Hermione might be because they see themselves in Hermione AND really like Snape. So it makes sense to ship something that you would have liked to experience yourself, if you were in someone else’s shoes. Other way around works too: some people see themselves in Snape but love Hermione, and want to write them together.

I also don’t see any of this flack that we get with Snamione against Snarry, Sevitus, Tomarry, Bellamione, or Snuna.

I enjoy loads of other ships, and I’m inspired by Hermione and Snape because I see a potential there for excellent stories and new ideas — a potential that I know loads of other people also see. Both Severus and Hermione are intelligent. Both were bullied growing up. Both have Muggle backgrounds. Both have huge ambition and thirst for knowledge. Both have incredible capacities when it comes to understanding riddles and logic.

It makes sense why the ship would have been created and would have become one of the most popular HP ships currently existing.

I desperately want to ask her about the missing part of the torture of Hermione in Deathly Hallows Part 1.
