Book Bellatrix is (part one):
Very tall. Taller than all three of the trio according to Harry when Hermione uses polyjuice to turn into her.
Quick. She’s able to stun four snatchers at once even when they’re in an uproar against her. They all ‘fell where they stood’ suggesting they didn’t even have time to stop her. Greyback is also restricted before he can even try to stop her and bound and kneeling at her feet.
Still very attractive after Azkaban again according to Harry despite that she makes his stomach lurch every time he looks at her.
Has ‘very long rippling black hair’ that’s not curly. It’s still rippling but now it’s become slightly coarse rather than silken and shiny like it was before Azkaban.
Bloodthirstier. She interrogates Griphook and when she’s satisfied with his answer she casually flicks her wand to cut him deep in the face then doesn’t even look back at him as he falls to his knees and screams in agony.
Thin. Not gaunt looking like she was right after her release from Azkaban but that’s part of why she’s so intimidating. She’s tall and thin.
Violent. She hit Ron across the face (just to get him to shut up) so hard his mouth was filled with blood and the sound was so loud it echoed around the room. She’s so violent it seems second nature.
Low (almost sultry) and disdainful in her baritone / voice. I always read her lines in Angelina’s Maleficent voice.
Not thin lipped! Just puts her lips into a line or purses her lips from time to time.
Feared and revered even amongst the goblins of gringots who ‘do not get involved in wizarding issues’.
Has an outright ‘malevolent aura’. So much so she’s never questioned or affronted. All along Diagon alley people were quickly stealing away from her to hide, too terrified of her to stick around.
Known to be closest to Voldemort even in public and non-pureblood circles.
Terrifying. She’s described as ‘frightening, mad’ when she’s screaming orders — so much so even her own sister who had been reluctant to do as she wants does so anyway. Even Fenrir Greyback is scared of her. When she finally releases him he ‘appeared too weary to approach her’ and would rather ‘prowl behind an armchair’ than get too close to Bellatrix.
Physically strong. Certainly strong enough to drag Hermione by her hair into the middle of the room. Strong enough to throw off Lucius’ attempt to grasp her and capture him herself in her grasp.
Ruthless. ‘If she dies under questioning, I’ll take you next. Blood traitor is next to mudblood in my book.’ Something she tells Ron after she’s hit him. She’s also incredibly calm when she’s being violent or hurting people. She doesn’t think twice on it.
A natural leader. She takes charge in most situations. She gives orders easily and she doesn’t care who she’s giving them to. She tells Draco to ‘move this scum outside. If you haven’t got the guts to finish them then leave them in the courtyard for me.’ When indicating to the snatchers she left unconscious.

Taylor Swift lyrics for the Marauders Era characters
James
The tricky thing is yesterday, we were just children, playing soldiers, just pretending, dreaming dreams with happy endings
It turned into something bigger, somewhere in the haze, got a sense I'd been betrayed
Lily
So you were never a saint, and I've loved in shades of wrong, we learn to live with the pain, mosaic broken hearts, but this love is brave and wild
The whole school is rolling fake dice, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes
Your little hand's wrapped around my finger, and it's so quiet in the world tonight
Sirius
I've been meaning to tell you, I think your house is haunted, your dad is always mad, and that must be why
I rewind the tape, but all it does is pause on the very moment all was lost, sending signals to be double-crossed
Sometimes giving up is the strong thing, sometimes to run is the brave thing, sometimes walking out is the one thing that will find you the right thing
Remus
You drew stars around my scars, but now I'm bleeding
You knew the hero died, so what's the movie for? You knew it still hurts underneath my scars from when they pulled me apart
I've been having a hard time adjusting, had the shiniest wheels, now they're rusting
Peter
We were jet-set, Bonnie and Clyde, until I switched to the other side, it's no surprise I turned you in, 'cause us traitors never win
Narcissa
I want you to know, I'm a mirrorball, I could change everything about me to fit in
And I feel my castles crumbling down, and I watch all my bridges burn to the ground, and you don't want to know me, I will just let you down, you don't want to know me now
Andromeda
Holding my breath, slowly, I said, you don't need to save me, but would you run away with me?
I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings
And I can still see it all in my mind, all of you, all of me, intertwined, I once believed love would be black and white, but it's golden
Bellatrix
They say I did something bad, then why's it feel so good?
The rumors are terrible and cruel, but honey, most of them are true
Regulus
When I was drowning, that's when I could finally breathe
And now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts, memories feel like weapons, and now that I know, I wish you'd left me wondering
I drew curtains closed, drank my poison all alone
Snape
I don't trust nobody, and nobody trusts me
All these people think love's for show, but I would die for you in secret
You're on your own, kid, you always have been

microfic: quillkiller, 848 words, explicit/mature
light d/s undertones maybe ?? vaguely described sex scene, nsfw
Bellatrix is poison, or maybe just a very sharp knife. More weapon than a girl, always has been. She did this to herself, and she had done it all wrong.
She destroys what she touches, leaves them a bloody mess at her feet until they crawl away from her on all fours. She had done it to anyone who tried to be her friend.
She had done it to her younger sister. She doesn’t know why her youngest is still around.
She doesn’t want to do it, again, to Rita, she wants so desperately for her to stay— so she keeps her hands behind her back most of the time. She keeps her teeth behind a closed mouth, so as to not tear open Rita’s perfect skin.
She wants to keep her perfect. Pristine and lovely, like a porcelain doll. No teeth grazing her neck, drawing blood. No fingers digging too deep into her hips. No visible hickeys, dragging Rita’s reputation through the dirt.
No, she’s too perfect, and she deserves better. Bellatrix doesn’t doubt she’d duel a pair of scissors if they dared to make Rita bleed.
She’s the loveliest, sweetest thing Bellatrix has ever been in possession of.
“I want to make you bleed,” Rita whispers against her ear, taking Bellatrix’s earlobe between her teeth, biting until it hurts. Until Bellatrix gasps, struggling against the ropes tying her hands together behind her back.
Maybe not that sweet, not really, not actually, but what matters is that Bellatrix thinks so. Rita is nasty, rude and selfish— and she’s perfect. Rita thinks she’s a god, and Bellatrix is happy to indulge her. Happy to worship at her feet.
“How badly do you want to touch me?” Rita asks, sucking down hard on Bellatrix’s neck, “feral thing like you, you’d ruin me if i’d let you,”
Bellatrix would never hurt Rita, hasn’t ever hurt Rita, even when her hands aren’t tied together, but it’s true that Bellatrix is feral. Wild and sharp, and doesn’t know how to love without leaving claw marks. It takes all her effort to be soft, but Rita rewards her every single time.
She’s become Rita’s domesticated beast. A dog on a leash. A leash that Rita loves pulling at, and Bellatrix is all too happy to submit and be led.
Bellatrix wants Rita to stay perfect, not a single tear on her lovely skin, and Rita basks in it. In turn, Rita wants to claw, push and prod. A perfect thing, but not at all kind, and Bellatrix loves her for it.
Who else can you hurt? Bellatrix had asked her once, when Rita had looked at her with fire dancing in her eyes, Bellatrix pushed up against a wall. Rita’s hand around her neck.
She had squeezed, Bellatrix gasping for breath, and said, I want you at my mercy.
Bellatrix had laughed, as much as she could with her airway blocked, and said, I already am, baby. Deliriously happy, Rita’s delicate fingers digging into her.
Rita adjusts herself on Bellatrix’s lap until she’s straddling her right thigh, she sits back up and looks down at Bellatrix, a smirk on her lips. “You’re so good,”
Bellatrix isn’t exactly comfortable, sitting with her back against the headboard and hands tied around her back, but her comfort doesn’t matter. Not to her, and not to Rita. Right now she belongs entirely to Rita. She thinks she was made to make her feel good, if all she’s good for otherwise is to harm and destroy.
Rita starts moving, and all Bellatrix can do is watch. Rita’s still fully dressed on top of her, a miniskirt, but the panties are gone, and a loose fitting button up shirt that refuses to stay in place. Rita’s blonde hair is a mess, eyes rolling back as she’s focusing on her own pleasure. Bellatrix has been tied up and naked for over an hour.
“Baby,” Bellatrix whispers.
God, she’s perfect. A perfect, pristine little thing— and Bellatrix intends to keep her that way. She’ll let Rita ruin her, make her bleed, leave her marks. She’ll beg her for it, and bask in the glory until they’ve faded. Then she’ll beg again.
She wants everyone to know who she belongs to. And in turn, Bellatrix demands Rita be kept perfect. Showing not only who Rita belongs to, but that Rita belongs to her without all of Bellatrix’s violence.
“You’ll hurt everyone,” Rita says, pulling Bellatrix’s hair, just a tad too hard, “but not me,”
“Never,” Bellatrix promises.
Never, never, never.
“Good dog,” Rita gasps, and scratches at Bellatrix’s back until she bleeds. Rita giggles, pleased when Bellatrix hisses from the pain.
“You’re perfect,” Bellatrix says, trying to get closer, but Rita pushes her back against the headboard roughly.
“My perfect girl,” Bellatrix continues, she’s delirious, a stuttering mess, “my one good thing,”
Rita says something, but it’s lost in her frantic movements against her thigh and Bellatrix’s growing desperation. She’s an angel, a god, a porcelain doll.
Bellatrix worships. Like a dog on a leash, held by a perfect, delicate hand that loves her.

guys....... An inch away from more than just friends !!!!!!!!!!! filthy quillkiller smut for the squad this evening !!!!!!!!!
explicit | 8.8k words | one-shot
Dancing like this, with Bellatrix, under the flashing lights of the bar, set something alight in her. It happened every time they danced together, which was every time they went out, but it never failed to affect her, that tingling under her skin, the urge to tangle her fingers in Bellatrix’s curls and just pull, watch as she moved in the way Rita made her, to wrap her legs around Bellatrix’s waist and squeeze, allow her to take Rita wherever she wanted because it would never be anywhere that she didn’t want to go, to press her mouth into the curve of Bellatrix’s neck, or into the cut along her collarbone, or just anywhere that Bellatrix would allow her, to take a bite out of her like a shark with its dinner. Every time they danced together, Rita wanted to cross the line between them, the line that was more like a faint indentation of where a line should be, the line they had been tiptoeing along, dipping toes over the edge of it, for as long as Rita could remember, dancing on a knife’s edge and she was desperate to sink down onto it, to twist the knife in the wound, to bleed out together. ***** bellatrix and rita are alone together in manhattan aka let the lesbians fuck nasty

I think I prefer toxicingly loving overprotective black parents to abusive black parents because of where that disappointment for Andromedas “betrayal” was rooted in, rather than fearing her parents she believed what they said was good and worthy. And it wasn’t until she started feeling something for Ted did she question everything that she had been taught but she knew her family wouldn’t hurt her. They thought highly of her and had high expectations, but in her parents eyes she could almost do no wrong. And then she did the one thing that was so wrong they never gave her an ounce of love again. Of course her sisters felt betrayed, why would their middle sister run away? Why would she leave such a perfect home? There wasn’t anything bad to begin with. It’s why bellatrix is so obsessive with her love and wanting to receive the same praise constantly, not because she was never given it. Actually the opposite, that’s the only way she knows she’s appreciated. It’s why draco is so spoiled by Narcissa. Though this time she genuinely loves and adores her son, she’s still learning how to do it in a more healthy manner… unlike that of her mothers. Even Andromeda has habits that haven’t completely disappeared. She’s overprotective of Tonks and a little overbearing, But she can’t help but keep it up after having a mother who acted like that

@jilymicro-oops March Prompts Day 14: Enthralled
A continuation of yesterday's micro. This will one day make it to AO3 once my internet company decides the website isn't trying to steal my banking information.
The word enthralled is in here somewhere I promise
Here's where we left off:
"Please," he says, "come to my place. You'll be safer there." Lily softens and takes his hand in hers, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "James," she begins soothingly, but her friend interrupts her. "Please." Lily stares at him, registering the real fear and terror in his eyes, and she opens her mouth. "I-" But she doesn't finish, because several loud cracks break through the air around them.
And the continuation is below the cut!!
James counts five Death Eaters surrounding them, three of which he recognizes. Lucius Malfoy is one of them, standing with an air of superiority, his aristocratic features contorted in surprise as he takes in the sight in front of him.
“Didn’t expect to see you here, Potter.” Mulciber says, voice dripping with contempt. James meets his eyes, feeling a surge of revulsion at the look of triumph on the seventh year Slytherin’s face.
“What do you want?” Lily asks loudly, and James has to give her credit for not sounding the least bit scared.
A feminine laugh echoes behind them, and James doesn’t need to turn to recognize it as Bellatrix Lestrange's. "We're here to take care of a problem," she says lightly, her voice dripping with malice. Anger surges through James' veins at her words. He casts a quick glance around, noting the five wands pointed at him and Lily, and his mind races for a solution.
"We have to disapparate," Lily breathes urgently. "I don't have my license, but—" James understands. They can't afford to engage in combat. They’ll lose, and do so spectacularly. There seems to be no way out, not when they're surrounded by so many adversaries. Here they are, two sixth-year Hogwarts students pitted against five Death Eaters, all of whom seem intent on their destruction.
But when he turns to disapparate, grasping Lily's hand tightly, nothing happens.
Laughter surrounds them, and Bellatrix gives a disappointed sigh.
“You didn’t think we’d give Miss Evans an escape route, did you?” She sounds almost bored. “The wards went up the second we arrived.”
James’ heart sinks right to the ground, and he exchanges a glance with Lily. They’re well and truly trapped, then.
“You can go, Potter,” Malfoy drawls suddenly. “We aren’t here for you. Leave the girl to us and you’ll be unharmed.”
“Go to hell,” James snarls at once, and Malfoy shrugs.
“Pity,” he says. “We could have used you on our side. But if you have a death wish like Miss Evans here, who am I to stop you?”
James and Lily have only a moment to spare before the first curse erupts from Malfoy’s wand. The green light misses Lily by mere inches, making contact with Lily’s house instead. The building bursts into hot flames, melting the snow around them. Lily shrieks as glass rains around them from the broken windows, and James casts a shield charm as another beam of light flies towards them.
“Your family!” James yells over the roaring flames, and Lily calls back, firing a jet of red light that hits one of the unrecognizable Death Eaters in the face.
“They’re out! Tuney’s moved in with Vernon and Mum and Dad are in– Expulso!” Lily cries, and the pavement underneath Mulciber explodes, sending him flying through the air. James and Lily stand back to back, spells erupting from their wands, but they’re outmatched. So outmatched. And out of nowhere, Lily screams in pain, crumples to the ground, and James whirls, sees the red light surrounding her and then to Bellatrix’s wand sourcing the cruciatus curse. The woman looks at Lily, enthralled, fascinated and elated at the pain she’s causing her.
His other targets forgotten, James whips his wand to Bellatrix and cries out the first spell that comes to his mind.
"Expelliarmus!" It flies from his wand with a fierce determination, aiming to knock Bellatrix's wand out of her hand. The Death Eater is caught off guard by James's sudden attack, her focus momentarily diverted from torturing Lily. Miraculously, the spell connects, sending Bellatrix and her wand flying across the snowy landscape, the cruciatus curse abruptly stopping. Lily lies on the ground, trembling from the residual pain of the curse, but now free from its grasp.
“Are you alright?” James cries, casting another shield charm as more streaks of light overwhelm them.
“Fine,” Lily grits out, forcing herself upward onto her knees. “I’m fine.”
She’s not fine, James can tell, but at least she’s conscious. She uses him to help her stand, and while she’s shaking, she holds her wand determinedly.
“We can’t fight them like this!” Lily shouts over the roaring of the burning house behind them and the cacophony of spells as they continue to fight. The two of them duck and whirl around each other, firing curse after curse, but there’s still three Death Eaters on their feet, and Lily’s weakened. “We’ve got to break through their– move!”
James reacts a second too late, and a searing pain makes him double over. When he pulls his hand away from his side, it’s coated in scarlet blood.
“Brilliant,” he mutters. “Just brilliant.” Despite the searing pain coursing through his body, James grits his teeth and forces himself to stand upright. "We need to find a way out of here," James says, his voice strained but determined.
“Do you have any ideas?” Lily asks, forcing them both down behind the stone wall surrounding the porch as three green bursts of light streak towards them. James racks his brains, and the idea comes to him through a haze of pain.
“I do,” he says. “But it involves your house being completely destroyed.”
“More so than it already is?”
“I’m sorry about your valuables,” James just says, and when he meets Lily’s green eyes, they’re full of determination. Something about that look sends his will into overdrive and before he can stop himself, he says. “I really do love you, you know. Like, actually.” Lily blinks several times before she responds.
“I love you too,” she says, “but I don’t think now is the best time for a love confession.” James shrugs.
 “Might be the only time.”
“Don’t say that,” Lily snaps, firing a curse between the stone they’re cowering behind. “We’re getting out of this.”
“Right. Okay.” James swallows. “I really am sorry about destroying your house though.”
As James and Lily huddle behind the stone wall, spells continue to rain down around them, each explosion sending debris flying in all directions. James feels the weight of his injuries pressing down on him. Blood still pours from the gash in his side, but he pushes through the pain, his mind focused on their escape.
“Now?” Lily asks, and her eyes shine with unshed tears.
“Now,” James agrees, and points his wand at the building. Lily does the same, and in seconds, the building shakes and moans in the night air and begins to collapse, sending flames in the air. The Death Eaters, momentarily distracted by the sudden chaos, falter in their attack, giving James and Lily the opening they need. Without a moment's hesitation, they break cover and sprint away from the crumbling remains of the house.
James guesses they have about five seconds to get as far as they can before the Death Eaters recover from the sudden act of destruction, and he’s right. Behind them, they hear shouts and curses as the Death Eaters recover,
"We need to find somewhere to disapparate," James gasps as they run, his breath coming in ragged bursts.
“The trees,” Lily wheezes, pointing just ahead of them. “The ones at the park.”
The Death Eaters are only a few meters behind them now, James can hear them, and his fears are confirmed as a sudden burst of purple light streaks through the air, hitting Lily squarely in the back. She cries out in agony, her body convulsing as waves of pain wash over her. James skids to a halt, horror flooding through him as he watches Lily struggle to remain standing.
"Lily!" James shouts, his voice raw with fear and desperation. He rushes to her side, keeps her from falling to the ground, wrapping his arms around her trembling form as if he can shield her from further harm.
But then another spell comes hurtling towards them, this time aimed at James. He barely has time to react as the curse strikes his arm, tearing through flesh and bone with vicious force. Agony shoots through him, and he staggers, his arm going numb as blood pours from the wound.
“We’ve got to get moving,” He says, using his good arm to steady Lily as she stumbles.
“My legs, James,” she says breathlessly. “I can’t–”
“I know,” James replies. “We’re almost there.” They can see the trees. They’re close. “Come on!” James encourages, half carrying Lily as they make for the other side of the street into the park.
They aren’t fast enough, James thinks desperately as the voices of the Death Eaters get closer. What with his mangled arm and Lily being able to barely walk, they won’t reach the grove of trees in time. Curses fly over and around them, bouncing off the shield charm Lily’s holding fast and strong, despite her near inability to walk.
“Just a little farther, Evans,” James says. “Just–” He can tell the second they’ve moved past the wards’ boundaries. It’s like a fog is lifted, like he can finally breathe again.
“Now, James,” Lily croaks, and James doesn’t waste a second. As he falls from sheer exhaustion, James spins on his heel, and the two of them turn into darkness.
They materialize in the quiet, peaceful garden behindJames' home, but there's nothing peaceful about their arrival. They collapse to the ground immediately, the pristine snow around them rapidly staining crimson. Gasping for breath, they kneel in front of each other amidst the chilling air. Lily coughs, her face a mask of soot, blood, and snow, features contorted in pain and exhaustion. Each exhale is a struggle, and the gravity of what has just happened to them settles over the two of them like a weight.
“I think you’ll p–pass your apparition test,” Lily wheezes finally.
James laughs, and it’s the last thing he does before he blacks out.

Random snippet of the next chapter of my Sirius/Bella fic (very rough as I typed this in my notes while stuck in traffic)
“ You dare speak to me about family and loyalty,” blood pounded in his ears as his words misted into the frigid air. “Yet you fuck the man who ordered Regulus’s death.”
Her eyes flashed with fury. Hordes of people had quaked under that gaze, yet Sirius held it- his fingers gripping the icy metal of his knife.
She didn’t answer, instead she turned away from him with a swish of her cloak and hair, her footsteps muffled by the snow.
Rage exploded inside him- white hot and piercing against his cold numbed skin.
“Don’t walk away from me you bitch.”

Bellatrix: You know who's looking fine tonight? Sirius Black.
Narcissa: Okay, you did not just say that
Bellatrix: What, he's a good kisser
Narcissa: He is our cousin!
Bellatrix: Yeah but he's our first cousin. You have your cousins, and then you have your first cousins, then you have your second cousins...
Narcissa: No, honey, uh- uh.
Bellatrix: That's not right, is it?
Narcissa: That is so not right
