February 23, 2019 ❤️ A couple of weeks ago, my students and I were chatting and one of them just casually mentioned that Josh and I were “goals.” That is maybe the most beautiful compliment I’ve ever received. I am blessed beyond measure by this man’s willingness to walk beside me, grow with me, and to love me every day. Especially when seasons of life are tough to even crawl through. So it begins ❤️ . This is the reason the #closetchronicles existed!! We (and when I say we, I mean mostly Carl ❤️) are combining this tiny, gross, super grey bathroom and this smelly walk-in closet with no air flow into a larger master bath. We’ve been planning this since we bought the house and figured.... no time is like the present!! . The three of us visited the Tile Shop in Ft. Wayne today and solidified the tile I picked out in December and after returning from dinner- Josh let me rip some things apart!! It was great! We also pretended to be a zombie and a king! Finally feeling a bit better after catching the “cruise crud” so it’s time for photos!! We went on our honeymoon last week! We had an amazing time on our Royal Caribbean Cruise. Josh did an amazing job planning it! We started out in Miami and then took to the seas! Our ship, Allure of the Seas, had around 6,000 people on board! This ship was like a small city! The food every day was incredible and they even had a grab and go pizza place and a spot to snag Ben & Jerry’s! It just so happened we were on board during their 50th Anniversary celebration- so we got a cute little cake! We played around in a couple kid friendly areas, soaked in some dreamy ocean-view hot tubs, and saw some incredible sunsets! I made Josh do #sunsethearthands and he was clearly thrilled 😂 We also went to Chichen Itza, but those photos are dreamy and deserve their own post 😍😍 (so incredible) We ended up back in Miami and had a nice lazy day there, we saw a REAL, free-livin’ iguana and a weird turkey-duck. We went and saw Captain Marvel again and napped in our rental car in a breezy parking lot! We landed in Chicago around 12:45am and slept in our own beds for a few hours before school on Monday. I played with one of my amazing Christmas gifts today! Boy- this #kitchenaidmixer is a dream come true!!! It is also my favorite kitchen color!!
