9 Creative Cricut Easter Projects to Celebrate the Holiday
It's a leap year, and the excitement of celebrating Easter is on the next level. This year, I will celebrate the festival with my newborn grandchildren. Ever since he came into our lives, I have become much more active and participate in daily routine work. As her grandma, I made the day special by creating custom Cricut Easter projects with my crafting machine.
Ever since I got the Cricut machine, I have taken plenty of orders and started my own business, which has made me independent and improved the family's financial condition. But this time, the reason for many crafts is slightly personal, as I will make projects for my grandson. In this blog, I share my favorite Cricut projects for Easter that you can easily make at home within a few minutes.
1.  Basket
Collect your eggs and keep them safe from getting damaged by storing them inside the personalized basket. You can make one of these Cricut Easterprojects with any cut-die machine using Smart Materials & other crafting tools. Besides, you can easily decorate the design on any basket. Also, you can use this custom-made bucket to store items in future days.
2.  3D Card
If you love simplicity, you should make a 3D card and give it to your loved ones. The cards are one of the easiest and simplest crafts any DIYer can make from their crafting machine. With the help of this project, it will be more accessible for users to pen down their feelings into words. Most crafters prefer to use a Cricut Joy machine and card mat to complete this project.
3.  Table Runner
Subsequently, decorate your dining table by placing a personalized table runner. There are several Cricut Easter projects, but making this DIY craft is my favorite. The crafter can make this project from any crafting machine using the sewing tool kit and design the runner according to their table size. In addition, users can give it as a present to loved ones.
4.  Candy Box
Surprise your children by giving them sweet candies of different flavors. Place the candy box on the table and let your children choose their favorite candy. Users can also make this craft in various sizes and decorate it with colors. Moreover, users must use a Cricut cutting machine, materials, and other supplies to get the best results.
5.  Lollipop Holder
If you love lollipops, you need a holder by your side. The holder allows users to handle and take the candy anywhere easily. A DIYer can easily do this project with a Cricut model, materials, and other supplies. The craft machine can also make a holder of any size, shape, and color.
6.  Plate
Serve your guests delicious lunch on a customized plate in your dining area. Among the variety of Cricut Easter projects, I prefer this craft as it gives them a new look and makes them look much more classy. Plus, users can make this do-it-yourself craft using a Cricut machine, materials, and other items.
7.  Doormat
Make your guests feel at home by placing a personalized Happy Easter doormat. This craft might seem complicated to make, but it isn't. You have to be a little patient while doing this DIY project. Users must have a Cricut machine, specific materials, and other tools.
8.  Welcome Porch
Equally important, decorate your home by placing an eye-pleasing welcome porch near the front door. Apart from the front door, you can also put it in your garden, near your room or backyard, while preparing for the house. If you intend to make one of the Cricut Easter projects, you need a cut-die machine, materials, etc.
9.  Mason Jars
Finally, discuss the last Cricut project you can make with the cut-die machine. By decorating the mason jars, you will preserve the food items and give the kitchen a new look by organizing them. Also, all users must decorate the jars by sticking labels, decals, and stickers.
Final Words
This blog will help you understand the various projects made from cut-die machines for this festival. However, all DIYers must use compatible tools while making any craft. The Design Space app will help users design the project and transfer it to the Cricut machine for the cutting process.

btw if anyone ever considers buying a cricut machine DO NOT lmao i bought my joy about a year ago maybe? and got like 5 uses out of it before it just decided to no longer recognize ANY of my bluetooth devices (even since getting a new phone and ipad) so essentially $150 down the fucking drain 😃 and i don’t want to talk to their customer service bc they’ll probably send me a new machine which is cool but they’ll also likely brick the original one so i cant resell it or even use it for parts and i refuse to contribute to tech waste like that lmao

Tumblr media
I recommend the Microsoft Surface Pro 9 as one of the best laptops for Cricut users. It comes with Intel Core i7 and Windows 11. Also, it comes with 32 GB or 16 GB of RAM, which is more than required.
But why should you go for it? Look, 3 reasons make this laptop worthy of buying. Look at the points below:

Listen to your elders
So last week I posted abut the importance of downloading your fic. And then three days later AO3 went down for 24 hours. No one was more weirded out by this than I was. But while y’all were acting like the library at Alexandria was on fire I was reading my download fic and editing chapter eight of Buck, Rogers, and the 21st Century. And also thinking about what I could do to be helpful when the crisis was actually over.
So first off, I’m going to repeat that if you’re going to bookmark a fic, you really need to also download the fic and back it up in a safe place. I just do it automatically now and it’s a good habit to get into.
But let’s talk about some other scenarios. Last October I lost power for over a week after hurricane Ian. Apart from not having internet or A/C I did find plenty to do, I collect books so I had plenty to read, but maybe, unlike me, your favorite comfort reads aren’t sitting on a bookshelf. So let’s do something about that, shall we?
In olden times many long years ago around 1995 we printed off a lot of fic. It was mostly SOP to print a fic you planned to reread and stick it in a three ring binder. And that’s totally valid today too, but you can also make a very nice paperback with a minimum amount of skill and materials.
Let’s start with the download; Go to Ao3 and select your fic, we’ll be working with one of mine. This method works best with one shots, long fic tends to need a more complicated approach. Get yourself an HTML download
Tumblr media
Open up the HTML download and select all then copy paste into any word processor. Set the page to landscape and two columns, then change the font to something you find easy to read, this is your book, no judgement. This is all you have to do for layout but I like to play a little bit. I move all the meta, summary, notes to the end and pick out a fun font for the title:
Tumblr media
No time like the present to do a quick proofread. Congratulations, you’ve just created your first typeset. On to the fun part.
Now you’re going to need some materials:  8.5x11in paper ruler one sheet of 12x12 medium card stock (60-80lb) scissors pencil pen or fine tip marker sheet of wax paper white glue two binder clips 2 heavy books or 1 brick butter knife
You’ll also need a printer, if you’re in the US there is almost a 100% chance your local library has a printer you can use if you don’t have your own. None of these materials are expensive and you can literally use cheap copy paper and Elmers glue.
Print your text block, one page per side. Fold the first page in half so that the blank side is inside and the printed side out:
Tumblr media
use the butter knife to crease the edge. Repeat on all the sheets. When you’ve finished, stack them up with the raw edge on the left and the folded edge on the right. I used standard copy paper, because you’re only printing on one side there’s no bleed to worry about. Take the text block and line everything up. Use the binder clips to hold the raw edge in place.
Wrap the text block in the wax paper so that the raw edge and binder clips are facing out. I’m going to use my home built book press but you don’t need one, a brick or a couple of books or anything else heavy will work fine.
Tumblr media
Once the text block is anchored down, take off he binder clips and get out the glue.
Tumblr media
You can use a brush but you don’t need one, smear some glue on that raw edge.
Go make a margarita, watch The Mandalorian, call your mother. Don’t come back for at least an hour
In an hour smear some more glue on there and shift your brick forward so that the whole book is covered. This keeps the paper from warping. While glue part 2 is drying we’ll do the cover. Get out your 12x12 cardstock
Tumblr media
Mark the cardstock off at 8.5 inches and cut it. Measure in 5.5 inches from the left and put in a score line with the butter knife (the back edge not the sharp edge)
Carefully fold the score line, this is your front cover. You have some options for the cover title, you can use a cutting machine like a cricut if you have one, you can print out a title on the computer and use carbon paper to transfer the text to the cardstock. I was in a mood so I just freehanded that beoch. Pencil first then in pen.
Take your text block out from under your brick. Line it up against the score mark and mark the second score on the other side of the spine
Tumblr media
Fold the score and glue the textblock into the cover at the spine. Once the glue dries up mark the back cover with the pencil and then trim the back cover to fit with your scissors.
Voila:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m going to put this baby on the shelf next to the Silmarillion.
The whole process, not counting drying time, took less than an hour.
If you want to make a book of a longer fic, I recommend Renegade Publishing, they have a ton of resources for fan-binders.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cricut compatible with HP printers?
Cricut technically works with any inkjet printer! Still, there is a need to check the printer's compatibility with Cricut. The reason for considering a specific printer for Cricut is the paper type or thickness typically that you will use with a Cricut machine, such as cardstock, printable vinyl, sticker paper, waterslide paper, etc.
Can I put vinyl in my HP printer?
Not completely. Even the HP Envy 5055 printer is suitable for printing on vinyl, and printing is not bad for this printer. Yet, a slight color shift can be noticed while printing gradients. You cannot see this color shift with the naked eye. Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black serve as a satisfying color combination for vinyl papers.
Can an HP printer print sticker?
Yes, you can print on stickers made for inkjet printers, which can handle various document types, including labels and stickers. Using your printer, you can create high-quality labels fairly cheaply. Printing labels is much like printing on other paper types, but adjusting the default settings will ensure the best results.

Hello! I was wondering what company you use for your sticker sheets? I bough one from your Ko-Fi shop and really like the quality, and the pricing you were able to sell at is waaaaaay more reasonable compared to any of the companies I've seen and used myself. Is it a POD company, or a mass purchase of them to sell on your own?
Thank you for your time if you're able to respond!
I'm really glad you like the quality, because I actually make them by hand at home! (Please forgive the lighting, my bedroom is my office lmao.)
Tumblr media
I don't use a company (and Idk what a POD company is sorry!) but making them at home gives a lot more freedom of stock, just be wary it can be very time consuming depending on how many you need to make.
I've had other people ask before, so here's a rundown of how I make my stickers at home: At most you'll need:
Printer
Sticker paper (this is the type that I use)
Laminator and lamination paper (the lamination paper that I use.) You can also use adhesive non-heat lamination paper if you don't have a laminator, gives you the same result, just be careful of bubbles. You will get double your worth out of a pack because we are splitting the pouches to cover two sticker sheets.
Your choice of a sticker cutting machine or just using scissors.
First, I use Cricut's software to print out the sticker sheet with the guidelines around the corners so the machine can read it. If you do NOT have a Cricut machine, open up your art program, make a canvas of 2550x3300 and fill it up with your sticker design with some cutting space between them. This the 8.5x11 size for the sticker page.
Tumblr media
I usually have bleed selected so the cut comes out cleaner. Tip for non-Cricut users below: Increase the border around your sticker design to fake the 'bleed' effect for a cleaner cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the print settings I use for my printer. I use the 'use system dialogue' to make sure I can adjust the settings otherwise it prints out low quality by default. Make sure if you're using the above paper that you have 'matte' selected, and 'best quality' selected, these aren't usually selected by default.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So you have your sticker sheet printed! Next is the lamination part. I use a hot laminator that was gifted to me, but there is no-heat types of lamination you can peel and stick on yourself if that's not an option.
(This is for protection and makes the colors pop, but if you prefer your stickers matte, you can skip to the cutting process.)
Important for Cricut users or those planning to get a Cricut: You're going to cut the lamination page to cover the stickers while also not covering the guidelines in the corners. First, take your lamination page and lay it over the sheet, take marker/pen and mark were the edges of your stickers are, and cut off the excess:
Tumblr media
(I save the scrap to use for smaller stickers or bonuses later on)
After you've cut out your lamination rectangle, separate the two layers and lay one down on your sticker sheet over your stickers with matte side down, shiny side up. (Save the other sheet for another sticker page)
The gloss of the lamination will prevent the machine from reading the guidelines, so be careful not to lay it over them. It also helps to cut the corners afterwards to prevent accidentally interfering with the guidelines.
Tumblr media
Now put that bad boy in the laminator! (Or self seal if you are using non-heat adhesive lamination)
Tumblr media
Congrats! You now have a laminated page full of stickers.
For non-cricut/folks cutting them out by hand: this is the part where you start going ham on the page with scisscors. Have fun~
Cutting machine: I put the page on a cutting mat and keep it aligned in the corner, and feed it into the machine. For laminated pages I go between 'cardstock' and 'poster board' so that it cuts all the way through without any issues, but for non-laminated pages or thinner pages, I stick for 'vinyl' and 'light card stock'. Kinda test around.
Tumblr media
Now I smash that go button:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You have a sticker now!
The pros of making stickers at home is that you save some cost, and you have more control of your stock and how soon you can make new designs. (I can't really afford to factory produce my stickers anyway)
However, this can be a very time consuming, tedious process especially if you have to make a lot of them. There is also a LOT chance for some errors (misprints, miscuts, lamination bubbles, ect) that will leave you with B-grade or otherwise not-so-perfect or damaged stickers. (Little note, if you have page mess up in printing and can't be fed into the cricut machine, you can still laminate it and cut it out by hand too.)
I have to do a lot of sticker cutting by hand, so if you don't have a cricut don't stress too much about it. I have an entire drawer filled to the top of miscuts/misprints. I keep them because I don't want to be wasteful, so maybe one day they'll find another home. Sucks for my hand though.
But yeah! This is how I make my stickers at home! Hope this is helpful to anyone curious

This book has been a looong time in the making. I think I printed and stitched it together all the way back in February? But my plan for the case required me to figure out some things so I just kept putting it off, lol.
But finally! Here it is! My rendition of the Tumblr Stories typeset, courtesy the amazing people over on the Renegade discord.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the first bradel binding I’ve done, and I am really pleased with how well it turned out.
The end papers are ones I designed and had printed. Also very happy with them!
And the thing that held me back the most on this book was the cover decoration. I knew what I wanted, but not how to get there. I personally don’t like the look of heat transfer vinyl, and I don’t have access to a cutting machine anyway.
Or so I thought.
Two weeks ago, I took a little certification course at my local library which means I now have free access to the cricut machines in their public Makerspaces! It took some time and experimenting, but I did settle on a way that works for me to paint the covers that looks, in my opinion, not too shabby.
Overall, I’m really happy with this one. I think it’s my best bind yet. Here’s hoping the next ones are even better!

Bookbinding #4! Kizzia's Wildwoods
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bookbinding project #4 has been received by its author, so I can post the pictures. I have to say, this is probably my favorite finished project yet; I love quatros, I love paper covers, I think I would be happy with these aspects for the rest of time.
The Wildwoods is one of @wherekizzialives's original stories, which you can read here. I bound the first twelve tales into a single book, and I went with quatro mainly because I like the idea of her throwing it in her pocket before going on a ramble in the woods.
I'm super happy with the finished product: I think those are the best corners I've done yet; they're nice and flat and sharp, and the paper worked like a dream, and instead of messing around with the library's Cricut machine, I trimmed the parchment to size and sent it through the printer to get the title and author. SO MUCH EASIER. I think the one thing I'd change is that while I love the bookplate on the cover, it does look a little plain. (I think it's better in person, to be fair, but in pics it's very stark.) I'm going to look into paper decorating stuff next: like, what if I could emboss the edges a little, like a frame? Or cut a really pretty edge to it? Or both? Something like that. (It just occurred to me; I could have printed a frame along with the title, but it is an ocean too late for that.)
Also I have got to be better about printing; see how the tree cuts off before the page does? I don't know why it does that. Was I supposed to trim better? Did I screw up the coding on the doc file? NO IDEA. Bleh. Note to self: pay attention. Sorry, Kizzia. :(
Anyway, there it is, probably one of my favorite binds to date. I love this size and I love paper covers and I might stick to both those aspects for the next few binds. Kizzia, thank you so much for letting me play with your words even if you had no idea until the package showed up. It was great fun and a fantastic learning experience and I hope you love the final product.

hi my sweet friend. returning the favor to you:
nancymarjan wedding (because they’re married to you and i)
what does their wedding look like? who does the majority of the planning? does clipboard marjan make a comeback? who is in the wedding party? and anything else you’d like to share with me!
since you wrote such a beautiful proposal fic i felt like you were extra qualified to talk about their wedding! 💕
i love this question, thank you friend for letting me ramble about our girls and your kind words about my fic 💕
clipboard marjan becomes wedding binder marjan, she is lowkey terrifying, she has clipboards, lists, colour coded binder tabs and an elaborate network of pinterest boards. nancy finds it very endearing, she doesn't really care what the placecards nor bridal party pocket squares look like as long as marjan is happy. marjan also buys a cricut machine and makes all their wedding stationery, and does all of the flowers for the wedding herself so they can have the bougie look she wants and still stay on budget.
they do a roller rink party with the catain crew as a joint bachelorette party, nancy pretends to be worse at rollerskating than she is so she can hold marjan's hands all night, marjan knows she's pretending but goes along with it to hold her hands.
i think they have a small, but very much elaborate wedding, it's mostly their families, their 126 family, some of marjan's derby friends. the wedding is in texas, and marjan's parents, sister and extended family fly out for it.
marjan has a floor length gown, with matching hijab, i'm picturing floaty chiffon fabric with a rainbow irridescent sheen. nancy wears a really crisp white pantsuit, with flared pants and no shirt under the waistcoat, and her hair braided into an updo, with some loose wavy pieces like her tarlos wedding hair. they both have a colourful wildflower bouquet.
judd officiates the ceremony, it's secular but with elements of both their cultures woven throughout. tommy and tk are nancy's co-maids of honour, and her sister is a bridesmaid. marjan has paul as her best man and carlos and her sister sahar as bridesmaids. charlie ryder is the flower girl. it's an outdoor ceremony, with a tonne of colourful wildflowers. marjan's dad gives a big speech at the reception about how proud he and marjan's mum are of her, and how happy they are she found nancy, everyone cries.
they have a signiature mocktail on offer at the reception, it's colourful and glittery. they have a rainbow colour scheme but it doesn't look tacky, leaning into the colour mostly in the florals table arrangments, and a bar with colourful glassware. they have a charcuterie snack table that tk and carlos help them put together to cut down on catering costs so they have can splurge on a dessert table with a tonne of colourful desserts, fresh fruit and a really simplistic white cake, it's an orange and vanilla bean sponge with white buttercream and decorated with candied oranges and flowers.
they have a pink and white dance floor, that gets plenty of use. in the spirit of overthinking my answers to all the asks i've gotten today, i made a moodboard for this:

This mug.
Like, it's all through s1
Then in s2 it get the updated "Jim's Mug" on it.
I saw people who were like, I know he probably miracled it but I like thinking Zira has a Cricut more.
And that ofc lives in my head rent free.
And like I know several people with Cricuts the thing is though is that in almost every circumstance the person acquired the machine one of two ways:
1) their partner bought it for them (usually cause the cheapest versions are like 300 USD and the person who wants it is like dear I want this thing that is a large finance and don't wanna buy it with out talking to you about it first and the partner says "I'll think about it" to stall long enough to buy it for their partner so they can beat their partner at gift giving)
2) they went halfsies with their best friend
NOW while this is not a scientifically backed list of ways one acquires this machine it does still make me giggle thinking about the fact that in both these scenarios it means that Crowley is either:
1) The Demon who spent human money on this to make his Angel happy
2) Cricut Co owner
