I finally finished my buni doll! he's taller than my arm and pretty hefty. it was my first time embroidering, wire armateuring, using this specific pattern making process, etc.... so I think he turned out better than I ever expected lol!

he's mostly posable tho the wire I had access to isn't strong enough to combat the minky. live and learn 🤷‍♂️

Okay so despite only having spent like yesterday night and all of today on her it feels like this took way longer. This is a rough concept for what the finale Cyberpunk!Faye will look like. Name currently pending because that is not catchy at all.

I love how her expression turned out. Her rbf is on perfect display here 👌 Also the fact her eyes are so frigid.

Anyways, meet the Faye of a currently unnamed underwater city based on Cyberpunk aesthetics. She's something between an Intellitron and an organic lifeform, crafted by a legendary inventor from The Iron Era. Cold and indifferent, she keeps everyone in the city safe by any means necessary. Some view her as a benevolent guardian because of this while others, say her name with venom and see her as a ruthless tyrant. No matter the case, she is simply fulfilling the job her creator gave her before their disappearance.

I was thinking about the idea of redesigning Dark Cacao (mostly because of the shoulder pads), and honestly, why didn’t they give him the Oreo shoulder pads from his beta?

I mean I guess the justification for his diamond shoulder pads is that they add more of that shape into his design, and the rest of his design is extremely angular so the curved Oreos might have clashed, but still

I think it would have been a way to tie back into Dark Choco’s design, and this particular shape of his shoulder pads is different and looks like it belongs to some above Dark Choco, like his father. So it’s tying in while being distinct

And considering Dark Choco’s like, the only character (at least as far as I can remember) who wears those Oreo pads, maybe it could be like a family thing

Like I don’t really see much of a point to getting rid of them, they would have worked great. And now I want to give Dark Cacao Oreo shoulder pads in headcanon designs

on a roll today with a bunch of posts of me talking abt a bunch of diff details about this show today and i remmebered i need to look at the different directions the characters are facing on their door icons. pomni and kinger and queenie faceg directly forwards. jax ragatha and zooble all face their right while looking to their left. gangle is facing her left. kaufmo directly faced his right. this means nothing but it means something in my heart

Beast Squadron - Phoenix Cell, 2BBY

featuring adult Omega, the cadets from the sarlacc planet, and adult Bayrn as their resident jedi!

Thoughts, details, and individual shots below the cut:

Their squad name is from the fact that both of their big inaugural missions were related to some sort of giant monster - the cadets killed the jungle sarlacc and Omega (with bayrn's not-help) released the zillo. All the cadets have a sarlacc motif on their armor (though Stak's isn't as visible since it's mostly on his helmet), and Omega and Bayrn both have a zillo design.

Omega was promoted from pilot to fulcrum-adjacent strategic officer. The cadets are probably commando cadets (or at least CCs of some sort), so Mox (beardy) is commando-adjacent, Deke (white streak) is ARC-adjacent, and Stak (buzzcut) is a lead pilot. Bayrn is just there to fill the token jedi position lol.

Some fun facts and details:

All the clones are the same height; Mox and Stak are just standing on boxes of varying heights to make the shot work

Mox and Stak got their scars in the same incident

Deke is also their squad's Tech Guy

Stak's tattoo is a thermal detonator over his inhibitor chip scar

Deke's jaig eyes are from the jungle sarlacc mission - the tattoos are a little blurrier/more faded in this one than in his younger-adult design

Adult Bayrn is here because Baby Bayrn was the only kid entirely unphased by extreme violence

Everyone except Omega has a Rebellion insignia somewhere on their armor

Omega has a Bad Batch skull (not super visible in this pic but it's poking out a bit) instead of the rebellion logo

The gauntlet/vambrace with the green stripe is Omega's only standard white clone armor

Stak is wearing a clone pilot chest box over a rebel pilot flightsuit

My original adult-Deke design had blond dyed hair but it made him look a bit too much like Rex

Omega's crossbow-bow is a combination of the nightsister energy bows, her original zygerrian energy bow, and Echo's green bolt crossbow

They're part of Phoenix Cell because Hera wanted Omega to do strategy stuff

Everyone's lost at least one armor piece compared to their younger-adult designs

I cannot recommend this fic enough, it is an absolute delight so far. It's a classic, traditionally lighthearted fanfiction trope being handled dead serious and it's everything I didn't know I needed. It doesn't hesitate to dig its claws (haha) into visceral discomfort for our lead, but it still has moments that made me laugh out loud. Can't wait to see what happens next!
