Hello, I am new here. 🤚🏼I’ve never blogged, but I’m using this as a healing space. I’ve always been fair at writing, and I hold a lot of emotions within and I have never felt comfortable sharing my feelings. My favorite sport? I’m not much of a sports follower but I have been training jiu jitsu for about a year. 🫱🏼🤛🏼🥋

What kind of clothes do I like to wear? Comfortable clothes. If I could live in sweat pants and it would be socially acceptable, I would do it. 🥱

Is my current job the same as my dream job? I love my job. I don’t know what my dream job is, I’d love to do something with art or holistic healing but it’s hard to say. I have too many interests and I get bored too easily to confidently say. Like if I could get paid to go to college and learn all the jobs, I would. I just love to learn. 🤓🤓🤓

When was the last time I was angry? Why? Who am I angry with? I get angry at jiu jitsu for sure. 😡😂

How did my worst breakup go? Not well, but for the best. 👍🏻

When was the biggest fight between me and my parents? Why? Well, I didn’t tell my dad that I got married, he found out 5 years later and was very hurt that I didn’t include him or the rest of my family in on my special day. I got married at the courthouse, my husbands best friend and my best friend as witnesses, and no one else was there. The plan was to have a real wedding one day, but I never could afford it. 🤫

Do I easily trust others? No. I have a select few I consider trustworthy. 🤨🤔

What kind of people do I hate the most? I don’t really hate anyone. I just can’t stand people who bum off of people and don’t even try to get a job. Oh! And people who intentionally litter. 🙄😑

Who was my first love? Why did we break up? Josh was my first real love. I had lots of “boyfriends” when I was younger…truly I was super boy crazy!! And a prude. 😆 I always thought the grass was greener somewhere else, and I got bored easily in relationships, and judgy. Idk, I stuck with Josh for two years, and then he started wearing girl pants and starting acting emo, and THAT was not my jam. Lol Dodged a bullet I think. He’s a cowboy now, and has a bunch of kids and baby mamas. He seems happy overall from what I’ve gathered on social media over the years, and that is comforting to me that everything happens for a reason. He’s a good person. I do only hope for the best for him and always will. 🛹👍🏻, 🖤😭👎🏻, 🤠👩‍🍼👩🏻‍🍼👩🏼‍🍼

What is my biggest fear? Why? I fear I will never feel comfortable in my own skin. 😰

What makes me most proud of myself? I do not often think of this. I spend more time putting myself down than trying to build myself up to be honest. I’m working on that though. For now, I guess I will say I’m most proud that I just keep going even when shit sucks. 😂 I’m also proud of my accomplishments and my artsy creations. 😊

If I could have one wish, what would it be? I would wish for more love and happiness and less anxiety and worry. 🥰

How comfortable is death for me? Trying to avoid it for now, I haven’t lived enough yet. Working on it though. ☠️

How do I like others to see me? I like them to see that I’m caring, and healthy, happy, and fun. 🤩

Who is the most important person in my life? My therapist would tell me that I’m supposed to feel like I’m the most important person in my life. I’m trying to learn how to agree. My family and friends are the most important. 🤷🏼‍♀️

What is true for me no matter what? You have to fight for your peace. ✌🏻

What was one failure that I turned into my biggest lesson? I failed many times, but I get back up and try again. Like my professor tells me, “Just keep showing up. Cuz ain’t nothin’ getting better if you ain’t showin’ up.” 🥷🏼

What are my priorities right now? I’m setting small achievable goals for myself right now. Currently working on self care, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I also have a family oriented goal of trying to make more of an effort to just be happy and enjoy the little things. 🛁🧘🏼‍♀️💆‍♀️

Do I believe that fate is predestined or self-determined? I do believe there are timely coincidences to note about throughout life. I believe we ride energetic waves to our greatest potential if we “tap in” and can stay tapped in without all of life’s stressors affecting the ability to do that. I also believe in luck and love. I believe in karma. I believe that all humans (myself included) as a whole… we can do better at some things. 👁️

If a relationship or job makes me unhappy, do I choose to stay or leave? I always stay. 😬

How many scars do I have on my body? Just one. On my nose. It’s honestly barely noticeable, but I see it and it’s a reminder of my strength. 💪🏻

Have I been in a traffic accident? I’ve been in a few. All come with lifelong lessons. Be present, be alert, be sober, and wear your seatbelt. ⛑️

seduces my blinded soul

dirt-fragrant earth

stalagmites imprisoning me in a false embrace; as deceptive as a lullaby

I sat under radiating sun-streamed cracks bathing in the glow of a sci-fi cozmonut’s Heaven’s Gate

starry eyed glazed over hopefulness at this new love

Bluebearded potions

poisoning my sensibilities

Preying on my sensitivities

Theories on why amethyst is selected to represent February

The true origin of how amethyst became the February birthstone is hard to trace, like many subjects in history. A common theory explains that in astrology, Aquarius (Jan 20th -Feb 18th) and Pisces (Fen 19th -Mar 20th) are zodiacs of February, both signs can be represented by purple and thus the association with amethyst.

Some propose the following theory and I like the poetic notion: February is a month of duality, already into the new year, yet still not completely waken from stupor of the previous. Still a cold winter month, yet there’s a hint of spring vibe in the air. Amethyst too is a symbol of duality, with purple being the perfect balance of red (hot) and blue (cold). Moreover, those who are February born trends to be dreamers and romanticist by heart. Needless to say, February 14th marks the famous St. Valentine’s Day. Purple itself is a romantic color full of imagination. In a metaphysical sense amethyst and February both embodies a mystical quality of duality, perhaps this is why they are forever tied together.

A beloved gemstone for many reasons.

Whatever the real origin is, we can all be certain that amethyst is recognized as a powerful stone in the chakra field. Most believe amethyst is a great (if not the best) stone for protection against negative energy, also wonderful for cleansing. While crystal healing is another subject that deserves its own article, everyone can enjoy amethyst for the lovely shade of purple. Subtle and low-key, yet majestically vibrant.

Being a member of the quartz family amethyst is highly versatile and have a wide application in jewelry. Tough enough to be cut into many shapes plus good semi-transparency, this gemstone can be cut as beads, faceted stones, or simply in raw state. The cut has tremendous effect on the appearance: rich deep color as bead, bright and vibrant in faceted cut, and full of character in raw stone. All cuts of amethyst are uniquely beautiful in their own ways, which to choose is really a matter of personal preference.

One of my favorite design is UNA set with amethyst. Personally I prefer amethyst in bead form. The rich deep purple offers a mystical and yet majestic feeling. My philosophy in jewelry design is always enhancing the natural beauty of gemstone as a goal. An abundance of design elements often overpowers the stone. However, if the design is too plain results can be bland and boring; lacking sophistication to ignite the passion of viewers. Simply put, a nice design does not need too much but need to be just enough. With the UNA set (comes in necklace and dangling earrings) a wave inspired form “wraps” around the amethyst bead, the bead is set with a post though the drilled hole, viewer can appreciate the stone at all angles: front, side, and the back. This “perfect balance” approach is best to showcase the beauty of amethyst.

Purple would be considering somewhat a niche color, at lease in the fashion world. Definitely not as popular as black, white or blue; but those who love purple absolutely falls for it. Purple is a color for dreamers. Amethyst perfectly suits you if your birthday is within this month; or if you consider yourself a true romanticist and dreamer!

Uranus Enters Taurus // A Shock for The Books // March 6th, 2019

Blessings star fam! Long time no forecast from the Hef, here at H.H!

I hope all of you reading have missed my reports as much as I've missed writing them for the shop! This article doesn't mean the shop is back open just yet, as that will officially take place sometime around May 15th (if not sooner). I've got some interesting ventures in the works, so be on the look out for posts as we lead up to re-opening again in May! I had, HAD, to write this article for Uranus's entrance into Taurus!

In the year 2019, few astrological shifts can compare to the move of electric Uranus into the rich soils of Taurus.

There are a couple of other astrological influences which will effect the landing as we head into this unexplored terrain. Mercury will station retrograde at 29º Pisces at 1.20pm EST on March 5th, the day prior to Uranus's entry into Taurus, and there will also be a New Moon in Pisces at 15º. It's important to note, all of this Pisces energy will likely add a touch of surreal, and a dream like fog over everything. On the one hand the retrograde of Mercury will have you rethinking your plans, and probably feeling like going inward no matter how much change is happening outside of your cerebral fantasy world. If Uranus shifting into Taurus hits you heavy in the first few days, this Mercury shift may be the cherry on top of a horrible situation. Mercury Retrograde is notorious for being a thorn in one's side, causing chaos, playing pranks, tricking us, and having a laugh. Take extra time in planning any travel now, and DO NOT BUY ANY NEW ELECTRONICS until at least March 28th. Often when we make commitments to new things, plans, contracts, ideas, or work, we end up having to come back and re-do it when it's done during a Mercury Retrograde. Better to save yourself the trouble before hand. Those born with Natal Mercury Retrograde in their birth charts however, will see progress in communication, talking more about their dreams, being in the right place at the right time, ect.

The New Moon on the other hand could have you feeling a MAJOR re-birth on the horizon. If you have significant Taurus, or Pisces placements, are a fixed zodiac sign (Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio), are the adventurous type, or you just feel done with everything you've been doing for awhile, NOW is the time to act, to change your life in significant ways! Regardless of the Mercury Retrograde, it might be worth a re-do if it meant you could come out of it all with a re-newed since of livelihood, love of life, and perspective. New Moons are always a time of new beginnings, planting seeds, and new ideas! We may feel bombarded with many new ideas, and way's of seeing even the mundane suddenly, that we are confused about which option to pursue. You may have so many ideas you can't remember, so it may be best to keep around a small journal to jot them down before they dissolve. Remember that every great thing you ever saw, and every experience you ever enjoyed, was once a dream, or an idea. Keep the faith, and have patience as you plant these seeds!

Back to Uranus's Entry into Taurus... this will effect us all, not only on an individual level, but on a planetary level. Ruled by Venus, the perpetrator of beauty, and love, Taurus can be slow, but steady, in smelling the roses. Taurus is the ruler of the 2nd House. This means Taurus effects everything we value, our possessions, money, all things material, expenses, desires, career, and our food. Taurus is known for effecting the Earth, or in a Natal Chart, one's relationship with grounding. Uranus is the planet which effects all things electric, and our technology. Uranus boasts themes of revolution, liberation, freedom, shocks, surprises, the unpredictable, the eccentric, change, innovation, the future, science, chaos, and humanity as a whole.
