My choice for today was the horror comedy My Best Friend’s Exorcism

I rated this 7/10! Fun little horror comedy movie. Definitely worth a watch at least once, but there’s a mention of rape if that’s something that might upset you. Other than that it’s a fun watch for this spooky season.

Rating: Ok

Like: Not the usual drop dead gorgeous heroine and not the usual charming hero

Dislike: Didn't really see how the leads fell for each other and all the stuff that happened just feels like filter to me.

Notes: I liked one scene, maybe, one and a half, where I feel like the ML and FL had a real connection (and not just forced interaction)

Cinderella (2021)

Rating: Meh

Like: Idina Menzel, Cinderella not being trated by her family that harshly (still their not the best but I kinda see where the stepmother was coming from). The Godmother. Princess Gwen. The final sone and dance number.

Dislike: No connection to the characters, too much singing not a lot of character development. Also, I feel no chemistry between Cinderella and the prince.

Notes: I kinda like what they were trying to but I feel like I would have liked it better if they didn't named it Cinderella. Or if it's an actual musical play than a musical movie (like if it was a high school production or something). Or of they just concentrated on one female character that wanted to go against the mold (preferably Princess Gwen because she had a bit part but I was more interested in her story). Also, Cinderella sitting on the statue and being a smart ass about it felt like a bit discourteous but I'm an old fart so maybe that's just my age. Lol. Well, anyway, a bit disappointed because I love musicals especially ones that uses pop songs.
