For initial sketches, I went with some of the more well known Yokai, using a dip pen and varying ink colours. Varying with styles and shapes to brainstorm ideas as well as getting an idea of the Yokai I can use in my app idea. It was fun thinking up the different designs and trying different approaches, such as having a more humanoid Kappa and one that has more animalistic eyes. I feel going for something simpler works well, as it would translate easier onto a small screen.

i think atsuosa’s just always been really good at eating their fruits and veggies since they were young, y’know? so mama miya would experiment giving them things of varying levels of sourness (sudachi, yuzu, kobumikan/kaffir limes, kudamonotokeisou/passion fruit, etc.), bitterness (tsurureishi/bitter gourd, etc.), stickiness (star apple, bael fruit, etc.), some of her own acquired tastes (most nuts including peanuts/rakkasei, snakefruit/salacca/saraku, tamarind, maboya/sea pineapple, etc.), and whatnot, and they always take to them better than expected. she’s very happy about this ^^

omg anon I could kiss you ur the first person to ask. I should probably start out with the one that angers me the most and that is:

BETA INFERIORITY 

The Beta dynamic is my favorite and in this fandom it’s like you either dismiss them or you love them. The constant talk of Alphas and Omegas being better than Betas, then turn around and talk about how Omegas are uwu inferior. It highkey doesn’t make sense, but because people are so focused on the other two dynamics Betas are just kinda there. 

I also see a lot of suggested prompts mainly from anon asks about insecure Betas. (Like for example: Betas not feeling good enough for their Alpha/Omega partner because they aren’t an Alpha or an Omega.) It’s like people like get off on Betas suffering it’s really weird in my opinion. 

Betas are only seen as peacekeepers and nothing more the majority of the time. They’re a smart hardworking dynamic who are still somehow looked down on as if they don’t even matter. I know it really just boils down to the kink tbh. Since Betas aren’t ~special~ cause they don’t suddenly become horny on main. 

In fanfiction how people generally write Betas is even more annoying. They’re never really important even if they are a main character. They’re used as best friends, stand in partners for the Omega/Alpha until they find their true Omega/Alpha partner, or used for some tragic backstory. Betas are also just expected to let everyone walk all over them. 

Say there’s a fic about an Omega and they’re interested in an Alpha who’s dating a Beta. The fic basically has the Alpha cheat and when they decide they’re going to be together. The Beta is just supposed to let it go because uwu Alphas and Omegas are made for each other. Completely ignoring the feelings of the Beta in favor of the other too. It doesn’t even matter if the Beta loved them, because they get edged out of the fic after that. Or they get angry (rightfully so) and suddenly they’re the bad guy like what the fuck.

One thing I do find funny is that the BetaBeta, AlphaBeta, and OmegaBeta minor ships are a lot more interesting than whatever the main ship has going on. Which honestly if people focused on those ships more their writing would be more compelling. But hey that’s just m e. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was reading up on Mod Todo answering people’s questions about how to defeat the Todomatsu Stages and that if you only have Steampunk!Todo as an air unit that it’s pretty much impossible to beat level 10. Steampunk!Todo is indeed one-shotted in this case.

BUT THERE IS ONE WAY AROUND IT.

New Fujio!Todo.

1.) Steampunk!Todo + New Fujio!Todo 2.) Long Range Todomatsu.

Since Fujio!Todo is a ground/air unit he acts as great defense for your long range Todo but also as your only air unit attacker while Steampunk!Todo is used as a shield or until you get more then one to get the effective “One attacks, One gets attacked” balancing thing going on.

So it’s not impossible with only the Steampunk unit but only if you have the Fujio Rock Todo.

japanese onomatopoeia doesn’t get enough attention imo. like yeah okay every weeb knows about ‘doki doki’ for when your heart’s beating fast but it gets SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING than that

did you know there’s an onomatopoeia in japanese specifically for something that’s been cooked to a golden brown? yup, こんがり (kongari). ever wanted to say that you’re fretting over something dumb that happened in the past that can’t be changed now but you’re still anxious? that’s くよくよ (kuyokuyo) baby. べたべた (betabeta) means something clinging to something, which could be like, a wet t-shirt clinging to your skin, or it can be used when you’re referring to a really clingy boyfriend or something 

there’s like 1000 more but anyway the point of this is that i’m dissatisfied with what we’ve got in english. ‘splash’? ‘bang’? ‘pop’? fucking LAME. we’ve got to up our game
