To Teddy, Kush, Vince and Hunseol. Thank you for working your magic on this album. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you all, and hopefully we can do it again in the future! When I approached you three with an idea, I had no idea it would turn into something this big. 감사합니다!

Ducky, my big bro! Working with you is like a dream come true, ten year old me would be over the moon.  Jay, even though we've known each other since 2005, it has taken us this long to actually collaborate. Can you believe it? Charles, you're one of the most talented people I know, never let anyone take your spirit.

To my brothers, Seunghyun, Daesung, Jiyong and Youngbae. Look at us now. I'm so proud of what we've achieved, and what we're going to do in the future. The first day I met you all, I had no clue how I was supposed to work with four boys, but I'm so glad I stuck it out. Seunghyun, our wine dates kept me going through this creative process - the hangovers not so much. Daesung, my smiley brother. You cheer me up even in the darkest of times, though I do wish you'd wear more than just socks when you play the drums! Jiyong, like you've led BIGBANG through hard times, you've helped me so much personally. Thank you for all your advice, though it really should be me advising you! And Youngbae. You helped me with this album, even when you were completely sleep deprived from dealing with my nephew. Thank you for letting me crash on your couch, steal your food and steal your son when I'm craving auntie/nephew days.  I love you all so incredibly much. BIGBANG is forever. 

To my fans. This album is for you. It's a love story, a romcom, the perfect glass of wine, a warm bath on a cold day. Thank you for supporting me from day one.

The yellowish light seems all the more pronounced for it, casting shadows over Wong’s face. “I don’t regret that I never got the invitation to Ilvermorny,” Wong says eventually. “I would’ve wanted one at the time, I think. But that is what the Sanctum is for. It catches those who fall through the cracks - the unwanted and unseen of the magical world. They would’ve taught me things that would take a lifetime to unlearn. I see that in you, too.” Or: When he is twelve, Stephen Strange gets an invitation letter to the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is only the start of a life spent studying and defying one kind of magic - the one that Stephen seems to belong to, and yet cannot make his own. "Sometimes Goodbye is a Second Chance" by Aelaer: [37524 words / Canon Divergence] In 2018, the world almost ended. The world almost ended on a surprisingly frequent basis, Stephen had discovered in the last two years. But this time, this time the solution seemed just as bad as the problem itself with five years lost and so much suffering in the interim and the years after. So Stephen pushed himself farther than he ever had before to see if he could find something else: a solution that was less cruel, less harmful, less impacting to both Earth and the universe as a whole. He found it sometime after approximately 22.3 million futures.

“Stop-Loss” by twenty3: [41363 words / Canon Divergence] Tony Stark killed himself on a Monday morning. Peter Parker found his body. Stephen Strange was the first person he called. After the devastating loss, Stephen makes a decision. To use the time stone. To go back and fix things. To fix Tony before he can make the same choice to end his life. It doesn't work. So he tries again. And again. And again. It was his fault the world had lost him. It wasn't going to be his fault it stayed that way.

“By the End of Today” by Imagined: [53835 words / Canon Divergence] For Stephen, Thursday doesn’t end. He is stuck reliving the same day and over again. This by itself is already something of an issue, especially with the Time Stone destroyed and well, and Stephen having little to no clue as to who is behind it, and why he’s the only one who can remember what is going on. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to destroy time loops. Surrounded by people unaware of the situation, Stephen has to navigate his friendships and feelings to hunt down the cause of the green light that keeps restarting the loop, and put an end to the endless Thursdays. It might’ve been a little less complicated, had Tony Stark not been connected to the time loop.

“14,000,605 Pieces of a Soul” by CookieCloud: [57371 words / Hurt/Comfort] After the Snap has been reversed (and everyone survived), Tony's life isn't working out as planned. Things with Pepper are not going well and the Avengers are still split up. Also there is the small problem of Tony's judgement being clouded by the effect of Wanda's mind spell. At the same time, Stephen is struggling to come to terms with all of the futures he experienced in the time stone. And that's already without the spiritual effects they've had on him. But maybe, they can help each other.

"A Crown of Thorn and Shadows" by Golden_Asp: [58465 words / Alternate Universe] Anthony Stark, King of Blood and Darkness, ruler of the Unseelie court, did not expect to find Prince Stephen Strange of the Seelie chained up in his torture chamber, cold iron being driven into his hands. Stephen Strange, a Seelie healer, never dreamed of finding himself in the court of nightmares, being cared for by the king that the Seelie called a monster. They must work together to find the traitors in two Faerie courts that have not spoken in over six hundred years and reclaim Stephen's memories before the courts descend into war once more.

"Time After Time" by lantia4ever: [64186 words / Alternate Universe] Months after dealing with Dormammu, the Time Stone offers Stephen a deal – it will fix his hands so he can once again be a doctor. The kind of trouble that even Tony with his nearly limitless resources couldn't get him out of. He's never been a praying man, but they need a miracle. He’s not sure about God, but Thor always said wonderful things about his mother. At this point, Stephen needs a goddess’ intervention, so Tony sends up a prayer and hopes. The good news is, Frigga hears Tony’s prayer and decides Stephen needs the help of a guardian angel. The bad news is the angel she sends is Loki.

"Looks Like Bending Time" by FriendlyNeighborhoodFangirls: [74899 words / Alternate Universe] The dawn sings in Stephen Strange’s ears when he is born. The dawn and the fields and the souls of his mother and father and the watch his sister buys him on his ninth birthday—it all sings, countless melodies written into the universe. There are songs and there is the boy, and there seems to be no way to separate one from the other. Stephen listens and pretends he cannot, and he lives in safety as a surgeon and a success. But he can only hide from the unknown for so long. There is a watch and a suit of impossible armor and a lurking serpent seeking power from the shadows. And always, there is the song. What is silence, really?

"Time-Lost" by Bravehardt, Foxglove_Fiction: [107078 / Alternate Universe] Reoccurring nightmares kept Tony up at night; dreams of those closest to him dying over and over again in an endless cycle - haunting him and depriving him of sleep. Reaching his breaking point, Tony consults Stephen to help rid himself of these nightmares. It seems as though Stephen might be closer to Tony than he initially thought - or hoped and the barriers between patient and doctor relationship are starting to blur. Neither of them could have predicted that some of the dreams they have both been subject to are more than simple dreams but possibly fragments of memories from a life long passed.

How To: Gradient AO3 Divider

Last year we prepared a little something to make the fics written for our event more uniform and look a little more fun. This materialized as a workskin coded by @alto-tenure that contains a colourful gradient divider for AO3 from the colours of our theme.

To learn how to make yourself a colourful divider like this one without any graphic skills, see the tutorial under the read-more.

At first, you'll need to create a Work Skin:

Go to your profile on AO3 and choose the “Skins” option. Click “My Work Skins”, and there “Create Work Skin”.

Name the skin. (This has to be a unique name out of every AO3 user’s personal workskins, so “BigBang” or other straightforward names will most likely be taken, meaning you have to play around a little to find an eligible one.)

To the “CSS” box, copy paste the following html code and insert the HEX code of the colours you want to use (for example, #66c50b for our brightest green). We specified out 6 colours here, but you can use as many as you like.

Click “Update” at the bottom of the page.

2. Second, you'll need to start using the Work Skin

Go to publish a new work or chapter like you normally would.

Insert the text like you normally would, then click on the “HTML”view. Here, search for the placeholder(s) you left, where the section break(s) have to be.

Delete these, replacing them with the following code at every place you want to have a divider:

I heard this song my first year in China. I had never heard K-Pop before hahaha. I've had a soft spot for this song since then, as it was the first non-chinese song I'd heard in public in nearly a year.

2. Paloma Faith - Upside Down

I went to an open-mic night at a bar in China between two of the covid lockdowns in 2021 and an acquaintance of mine sang this song. I love the genre and the lyrics.

3. Proxie - Silent Mode

Look, the music from My School President hooked me, I watched the concert, and then found so many amazing Thai artists from there. Proxie is one of them.

4. Demon Hunter - Carry Me Down

This song has been in my playlists for so long, I don't remember when or how I found it lol

5. Gemini and Fourth - You're Blushing

I like both of their voices and this song is light and summery. But let's be honest - I have every MSP OST and adjacent song in this playlist.

6. Elvis Presley x JXL - A Little Less Conversation

Throwback to high school. From an AMV playlist curated by my group of friends who turned out to all be queer - not surprising from a group of art and D&D nerds!

7. Ava Max - Kings and Queens

I tend to search for FMV's for all my obsessions (old habit from highschool days) and this song was used for a multi fandom edit. It went straight into my girl power song category :p

8. Pet Shop Boys - It's a Sin

For some reason, considering how into classic rock and older music my whole family is, this song didn't cross my radar until it was on a Bad Buddy playlist here on Tumblr. How could I not love it?

9. IVE - Love Dive

Another multi fandom song edit. That edit used a male cover of this song, but as I have no idea who the artist is (sorry!) I'm linking the original IVE version here.

10. 5 Seconds of Summer - Teeth

The art teacher at the kindergarten I taught at loved this song. Every time we had to stay late to do prep work, we'd blast it at full volume. I think it has also been used as a fan edit favourite for almost every single romantic pairing ever.

It's missing some of my top favourite artists and songs, as well as some that are currently on repeat, but not a bad random selection of my musical taste. It's been fun! So, what’s digital citizenship? Imagine it as being a good neighbor, but online. It’s about being responsible, respectful, and aware of your actions and their impact on the digital community. With the rise of social media, our digital footprints are more significant than ever.

Have you ever seen a fight on Twitter or a troll causing trouble in Instagram comments?

As for me, I have seen this before. It’s like the wild west out there sometimes. This is where social media governance steps in. Imagine it as the cop in town, setting rules and ensuring everyone be nice.

Social media platforms like Facebook, X, and Instagram have their own sets of community guidelines. They’re there to keep the peace, but enforcing these rules is not that easy. Remember the chaos during the US elections, or the spread of misinformation about COVID-19? These instances highlighted the urgent need for better governance (Guess, Nyhan & Reifler 2020).

Take Twitter as an example. It has a reputation for sometimes failing to deal with hate speech and harassment. But in recent years, they have put their efforts to counter these problems, implementing stricter regulations and even banning high-profile accounts when necessary (Matamoros-Fernández 2017). Meanwhile, Facebook’s struggle with fake news has led to collaborations with fact-checkers to flag false information (Tandoc, Lim & Ling 2020).

Now, let’s dive into the world of entertainment, where digital conflict can be just as intense.

In 2016, Tzuyu from TWICE received a huge wave of online hate simply because she held up a Taiwanese flag on a TV show. This simple act was seen as a political statement, leading to intense backlash from Chinese netizens. Tzuyu, she's only 16 at the time, had to apologize publicly, showing how online conflicts can impact individuals deeply and quickly escalate due to nationalistic sentiments and lack of digital etiquette (Kwak & Kim 2017).

Choi Kyungseok nasceu na Coreia do Sul, onde cresceu. Sempre soube que o pai que o criou não era seu pai biológico, que o empresário havia apenas o adotado. A história por trás de seu nascimento foi um tanto obscura para ele até completar a maioridade. Inicialmente, tudo o que sabia era que sua mãe estava envolvida com um estrangeiro quando engravidou e foi abandonada. Seu melhor amigo de infância, na época, decidiu casar-se com ela, e foi então que Choi Dohyun se tornou seu pai adotivo. Esta, então, era a história oficial. 

Cresceu cheio de mimos, filho de dois herdeiros sul-coreanos, e nunca lhe faltou nada. Esteve nas melhores escolas, frequentava os melhores lugares, sempre teve tudo o que teve, mas a sua maior preciosidade era a irmã mais nova, de quem cuidava com muito carinho. Internamente, pensava que esse era o motivo de Dohyun também o amar como um pai: eles compartilhavam do amor pela menor.

Contudo, apesar da vida feliz em casa e do sucesso acadêmico, Kyungseok começou a ter pesadelos na infância, tão atormentadores que acabaram por o desestabilizar. Os mais velhos alertaram que Kyung possuía um dom sobrenatural, um tipo de mediunidade, mas Kang Haejoon, sua mãe, sabia exatamente a causa daquilo. 

O homem de seus sonhos apareceu uma noite ao lado de seus pais, desta vez vestido de um terno preto. Ele se assustou, mas foi acalmado pela mãe. Desta vez, ele era real. A conversa sobre sua origem foi longa: lhe explicaram sobre seus dons e suas visões, tentando o acalmar. Finalmente, foi revelado que aquele homem era seu pai, e não era um ser humano, mas sim um deus. Hades, ele lhe dissera, e Kyungseok teria uma importante missão ao lado dele algum dia, por isso precisaria aprender a controlar suas habilidades.

Dentro de Kyungseok, tudo fez sentido. Era assustador, absurdo. Mas fazia sentido. Aos 15 anos, então, iniciaram seus treinamentos básicos. Passava suas férias escolares ao lado de Hades, aprendendo sobre si mesmo. Aos 18, iniciou a faculdade de Direito, abandonando seus treinamentos, mas não a companhia do pai. Se formou como advogado, e foi morar em um complexo de apartamentos em Seoul. 

Ali, sua vida mudou completamente. O rapaz que antes costumava ser um tanto mulherengo e desapegado, encontrou o amor de sua vida. Em 2019 conheceu uma garota por quem se apaixonou no primeiro instante em que a viu, e dali nasceu não só uma grande amizade, como o relacionamento que ele achava que levaria para o resto da vida. Abandonou seus treinamentos com o pai completamente, decidindo dedicar-se à Yumi e à vida que estavam construindo.

Foi em um fatídico dia, no ano de 2023, que os dois decidiram acampar e foram atacados por harpias. Ele já havia as visto em uma das lições do pai e tentou defender Yumi, mas sem sucesso. Havia abandonado seus treinamentos, mal sabia controlar qualquer tipo de habilidade que pudesse usar. Yumi, de alguma forma, acabou criando uma proteção ao redor de si mesma, e ele tentou levar as harpias para longe. Tudo aconteceu rápido demais, e é claro que as criaturas eram fortes demais para ele. Acabou desacordado, com ferimentos graves e sendo arrastado pelas garras daquelas criaturas.

Depois do incidente, ele fora levado por Hades para o submundo, onde se recuperou dos ferimentos. Recuperou-se por completo, com exceção de uma coisa: não tinha nenhuma memória de Yumi ou de sua vida com ela. Tudo fora apagado. Voltou a ser o rapaz desapegado, e agora já como advogado e com a vida praticamente nos trilhos, ele finalmente aceitou a proposta de ser treinado por Hades. Passou, então, um ano no submundo, antes de Hades decidir que o acampamento na ilha Asterios lhe serviria melhor.

Poderes (5 poderes subdivididos em 4 níveis cada): 1. Chamado do Submundo: 

Nível 1 - visão noturna: consegue ver qualquer coisa nitidamente em locais escuros, como se houvesse luz. Luz repentina na escuridão o cega por 30 segundos.

Nível 2 - invocação das sombras: consegue criar e controlar sombras, que podem aprisionar indivíduos. Essa invocação só é eficaz com inimigos de níveis mais baixos que o dele.

Nível 3 - aura sombria: se funde temporariamente com as sombras, podendo se mover entre elas. A luz repentina corta seu movimento.

Nível 4 - espada sombria: cria uma espada feita de sombra, capaz de causar danos físicos a oponentes dele, desde que estes estejam em níveis mais baixos que o dele. 

2. Toque Sombrio: 

Nível 1 - manipulação: consegue manipular a energia de objetos, transformando-as em energia cinética e fazendo com que objetos de até 20cm explodam em 10 segundos. Precisa se concentrar, então não consegue fazer isso enquanto está fazendo outra coisa.

Nível 2 - aceleração: pode energizar objetos até 3x maiores que ele, fazendo com que este exploda em até 20 segundos. A explosão pode o afetar normalmente, então ele deve calcular bem a rota de fuga para não se ferir.

Nível 3 - arremesso explosivo: manipulando a energia cinética, ele pode energizar objetos ou armas que possam ser arremessadas, fazendo com que explodam ao atingir um alvo. Em ambientes caóticos e que prejudique sua concentração, ele pode acabar não conseguindo arremessar esses objetos onde deve, causando danos a ele ou aliados.

Nível 4 - precisão energética: energiza objetos que podem ser arremessados, controlando o momento de sua explosão. Não consegue arremessar nada cujo peso ele não aguente, portanto, suas escolhas são limitadas.

3.Manto das Sombras:

Nível 1 - criação: envolve-se com um manto de sombras, que oferece proteção contra ataques físicos e mágicos de indivíduos com níveis abaixo do dele. Este manto dura até 5 minutos, e pode ser usado uma vez a cada uma hora.

Nível 2 - proteção aliada: consegue envolver um aliado no mesmo manto, protegendo-o da mesma forma e nas mesmas condições, no entanto, ele não consegue se envolver no manto ao mesmo tempo.

Nível 3 - manto impenetrável: o manto das sombras se torna impenetrável por até 10 minutos, sendo impossível atacá-lo durante este período. Funciona apenas para o proteger de ataques de indivíduos cujos níveis estejam abaixo dos dele.

Nível 4 - elmo das sombras: recebe um elmo de presente de Hades, um objeto físico que faz com que ele seja imune a ataques psíquicos enquanto o usar. Pode ser retirado ou roubado por qualquer pessoa que esteja próxima demais dele.

4. Roubo de Energia:

Nível 1 - drenagem: rouba a energia vital de outros seres, ou a energia cinética de objetos, o que os enfraquece temporariamente. O efeito dura até 5 minutos e só pode ser usado em inimigos com níveis inferiores ao dele.

Nível 2 - canalização: ao roubar a energia vital de seres vivos, ou cinética de objetos, consegue aumentar a própria força, velocidade e agilidade. Dura por até 5 minutos, e só pode ser usada uma vez a cada três horas.

Nível 3 - knock out: ao roubar a energia vital de outros seres vivos, consegue deixar o indivíduo inconsciente. Só consegue usar esta habilidade em indivíduos com níveis inferiores ao dele.

Nível 2 - evocação espiritual: consegue evocar espíritos do submundo e se comunicar com eles. Apenas ele pode os ver, e a evocação dura até 5 minutos.

Nível 3 - transporte do submundo: consegue acessar o submundo por meio de transportes nas sombras que ele cria. Para isso, deve ter a habilidade 1, nível 3 desbloqueada e só pode ficar no submundo por até 3 horas sem causar danos a si mesmo.
