I don't know I never thought about this ship, mainly because I can't quite get ahold of Big's personality ((?) Like I think he's cute and I always love a chill guy who's close to animals but the few Sonic media I consumed didn't make me feel for him that much), and I always thought vectilla was cute enough for me, as much as I also like to see Vector as an eternal single mother (I have my aroace goggles on permanently sorry about that). But now that I have it in mind and I took some time to really consider it... I think they can be a really cute pair! Big is calm, chill an fluffy compared to Vector who can be more loud and hot-headed so they can balance each other pretty well while still being silly each in their own way, they can make super cute cuddles with Big's fur keeping Vector warm, not to mention that Vector color matches Froggy which is adorable to me and I'm always here to enjoy an old men yaoi (okay they're not that old, just older than your usual demographic so... grown men yaoi?).

And it gets better if you include the Chaotix fam into this. Big would be a great influence on Charmy and Espio, maybe learning them more about patience and the respect of nature without being overbaring (especially for Espio, I think he'd welcome Big's presence as he's not too loud and lets him his space), he could reassure Vector on his own parenting skill AND he'd take the kids fishing. Perfection ✨

Vector jumps up from his cozy sleeping position in fright. “What was that?” This causes Big to get up as well. “Let’s check.” Big bravely lifted himself off of the bed and headed towards the bedroom door, which led to the living room. “Wait!” Called out Vector, still shaken up, “What if it’s something dangerous like a wild animal or a robber?” Big gave Vector a blank stare as he was in deep thought. “Then.. we check it out together,” said Big finally. Vector could only let out a “Huh?” before his hand was grabbed by Big as he opened the door. They were greeted with a dark living room. Big could feel Vector’s hand squeezing at his own, tightly. Big knew he was scared. Big led the way into the living room right as the loud sound echoed throughout the house again.

BOOM

Vector screamed and hugged Big’s back, burying himself in it, as he shivered in fear. Big didn’t even flinch, but he could hear a similar faint yet constant tapping noise from above. Big knew what it was. Big grabbed Vector’s hand once more and led him to the front door. Big opened it and the two were staring at a gloomy and stormy night. “It’s just storming,” said Big, not entirely at the point yet. “That’s not the part that’s frightening me,” returned Vector, sheepishly.

BOOM

The sky brightened with light for a split second as lightning appeared to announce its victory in its race against the slower yet louder opponent, being the thunder. The thunder didn’t sound too happy. Vector yelped and latched onto Big again. Big let out a sigh, turned around and hugged Vector. He could see that Vector was crying. He’s never seen anyone so scared of thunder before. “It’s okay, I’m right here, Vector. The Thunder can’t hurt you, it’s only a sound.” Vector sniffed and attempted to wipe his tears. “Y-yeah b-but-“ Vector’s stammering was interrupted as Big kissed the end of Vector’s long snout. Big gave him a soft smile. “I’m right here.” Vector smiles back and nodded. He wrapped his arms Big and Big returned the motion. “Thanks.” “Mhm.” They sat like this in each other’s arms for a good minute. The rain pitter-pattering on the roof and on the ground, the rumbling of the upset clouds, and the soothing gusts of wind in the background all coming together in harmony to make up the melody of this moment. Eventually, Big and Vector went back to bed. Big wrapping his arms around Vector in a protective way before dozing off into a deep sleep. Vector has never felt safer in his life.

Bigctor Pride Icons, pt. 2!

I made Bi and Gay pride icons for Vector and Big respectively using Jon Gray's cover for issue #50 of the IDW comic, since those were my headcanons for the two.
