when they land, elrond leaps from the boat and splashes through the water to greet celebrían, weeping, and galadriel follows him into the shores of morning.

when the shot pulls back to her in the present, she is standing at her mirror. she touches the water and exhales. when celeborn comes to join her, there are tears in her eyes—but she smiles, and it’s real.

it does kinda feel crazy to know enough about a topic that i consistently come to work at the museum and they're like "can you give a tour today on this or that aspect of the museum's collection?" and i don't need to even prepare anything, i can just say yes. like again, i know this is like. normal. for adults with jobs to be able to do their job. but it still feels weird to me that i can speak with authority about anything other than fandom

I have thought about it actually, but uh, I wouldn't sell it (can't sell it for copy right reasons that go with fanfiction) or give it away. Also, 850,000 words is way too much for a singular book. There would have to be multiple books, one for each part in the series.

It takes a lot of effort to make it into a book anyway. I mean, I'd have to edit the entire series thoroughly because I'll be damned if a printed copy exists only for there to be spelling and grammatical errors everywhere and not to mention, the plot inconsistencies and loop holes I know exist. And then of course if there's gonna be books then I have to make a cover right?

It's a whole design process that I'm... Tempted to do at some point. Maybe one day.
