Do any plus sized folks have any tips for how to use trans tape? I have DD (maybe bigger) and I just tried using it for the first time, got frustrated almost instantly (while following one of the official TT videos meant for bigger chests), and am now double binding trying not to break down.

Any tips would be seriously so appreciated, I just want to be able to wear 90% of my clothes on a bad dysphoria day without my chest hurting or having trouble breathing or whatever else

Binding pain?

So i’ve just gotten a binder, and i went for a brief like 20 minute casual walk, it was kinda hot and i was an idiot and wore my binder- now like the middle of my ribs hurts under my chest? there’s no visible mark and it only really hurts when i press it, i’ve put ice on it and taken my binder off- is this a cause for concern?? I’ll reblog this tomorrow/later with how i’m feeling- but yeah, not planning on wearing the king squisher on hot days anymore- (i’ve only had it for like 3 days- i’ve worn it for 6 hours max, and today i’ve only worn it for an hour ish? it was like… 27 degrees celsius when i was walking) but like should i be worried?? any tips?

I’m just wondering from any trans guys or just people in general who wear binders is it unsafe to wear one if I have breathing difficulties bc I rly want one but I’m worried I’ll waste my money. I’m also thinking of getting it from spectrum outfitters and I’ve been on tiktok for ages looking for a good brand and I think it’s good, can anyone give me any tips?

Throwing this out there but I have a small HC that Thorin’s has an AMAZING knack for growing things. Like, Bilbo finds out he has an amazing green thumb after he’s gifted a garden from Thorin as a courtship gift and as a Hobbit (already in love with him) that just makes Thorin 20x hotter.

Thorin only ever saw the skill as a means for survival and finds out at Beorn’s that it’s an attractive trait in Hobbits; Bilbo has a terrible green thumb which is why the Gamgee’s are his hired gardeners. So he’s proud of the starter garden (grown with new spring flowers and shrubbery) he’s made for his beloved

i just think it's SO weird how this author always makes her characters get sexually abused, on some level???

I mean, out of everyone (core 10), only 4 ( hugh, katie, feely and shan) haven't gone through that, and two of those don't even have their own books/backstory yet. And now Mark ( gross) was already a rapist at 12?? That's just so messed up.

Like, I get she's trying to make the characters deeper or whatever, but it's done so badly? Half the time readers even forget it happened ex: Johnny's SA case.

Even the characters seem to forget this fact!! For example, Hughie is said to be loving and protective

he tried to protect Claire from Mark as a child but encourages his younger sister to go to a guy who tried to harass her in PUBLIC and even months after this Jamie is still spreading rumors about Claire.

It feels like shock value, not actual plot. And when it should matter like with Gerard (and Lizzie too, but we don't have her book yet)

it's barely there? Gerard's book just glosses over his abuse in, what, two chapters, then switches focus to someone else.

She'll write a whole graphic child abuse scene but skip the aftermath?? Just a time jump and zero fallout. Gibsie leave Cork for weeks and we have nothing about that time!!! Did he gave a statement against to mark? Dublin PD reopening the Mark case?
