catch me googling "how to partake in the butch tradition of having a lanyard/ring of keys clipped to your belt when you don't have a job or a car and so most of the things on your lanyard are just decorative keychains"

I wish bisexual butches had more visibility. It feels so isolating when everywhere you see people are always talking about lesbian butches. Not to mention how most of the community thinks butch is a lesbian only term. It's lonely.
Also, thank you for creating an inclusive butch space and not gatekeeping it.
yeah, I’m a bigender and achillean (<- questioning) butch, so I get it
I think it’s getting a bit better, but the majority of the butch community is lesbians.

I just want to say to all bisexual butches, femmes and futches that you are all so brave. SO MANY people tell us we can't use those terms because they don't belong to us, that we are stealing them which is so wrong. But we are still here and we are are not hesitant to claim something that belongs to us, something that we helped create and I think that is so brave. I love you all and thank you. Because whenever I see bisexual butches, femmes and futches being happy and proud in their identity and just being there, it brings a smile to my face and makes me feel like maybe things are not so bad after all

Errant by L.K. Fleet
Tumblr media
I went through the butch books database by @/lavendersbook on (Instagram and twitter) and found some books with butch bi MCs that I hadn't known about! I wish we had more books with butch bisexuals. They are so rare.
Errant by L.K. Fleet was such a treasure I had found for which I am very grateful for. I totally recommend!
Read it if you want 💖 Butch bisexual MC 💖 Sapphic romance 💖 Pretending to be wives 💖 Swordswoman x pickpocket 💖 Fantasy 💖 Adventure

I have a sad little miserable day and I go search "bisexual butch" because I feel like seeing positivity and yet I find fucking stupid people ranting about their fucking stupid lesbian separatism appropriation shit and I'm so, so tired. My fault for searching shit, but man.
Like yeah, I will use the stupid word anyway, I am a butch because I look like one and I like the stupid word, but it's still tiring when I think about the amount of chronically online shitty lesbians who are so worried about their exclusive club they will try to gatekeep a word that describes us.
If I didn't know English I would use another word because butches are everywhere, you can't gatekeep a concept. Hence it's fucking stupid to try to artificially force us to use another word that describes the same thing. I'm so fucking done of some lesbians online going "no, you can't use that word" and some bisexuals replying with "oh sorry I didn't know 🥺". You should keep the dom/sub roleplay in bed.
Btw this is petty and unimportant because I'm just one person but given that I won't see butch bisexuals in the media I like (except Kashima and I love her) and people get absurdly mad about bisexual interpretations of existing characters who aren't confirmed to be anything, I'm really considering making every single one of my future butch characters bisexual. Doesn't matter because I will never be famous with my art, but idk, my inspiration works like this. Fueled by spite

Bisexuals can't use butch or femme regardless of whether they're het partnered or not.
Bisexual women can and have been calling themselves butch/femme for decades.
The main argument I've seen against it is that historically it was used for lesbians. This argument ignores that historically "lesbian" meant what "sapphic" means today - women who love women. Even if you claim (with no proof) that butch/femme was for women who *exclusively* date women, that still includes febfems. Homosexual women don't have a monopoly on terms that come from shared wlw history.
