HolidayHangover...

The thrill is gone, feelings spent. Time before time; seven days are left. Count down again the future you can hear near. All of us know it as the coming of a new year. A recharge is needed, sleep is a must. Letting go of old things, trying to plan put new stuff. The day was approaching the time came near. Holiday's are over, it's time to place them away til the end of another new year...

PressStart...

Place yourself in motion, no need to bit rewind. No need to hit fast forward each day you want to take a moment at a time. Time to look at your options. The disk menu needs your eyes to be in view. There is no clear guide to new day's coming, no channel up nor down. No volume raised or lowered. Select your new info, did you just press the button to go back or can you recall... The power's in your hands. Change comes for us all.

MainAgenda...

Making a new list, checking it twice. Filled with scribbles of what one hopes to accomplish in the beginning of a year that's new. Promise made to no one but yourself, do what is best for you. Make the change, stick with what you say needs to be done on your behalf. Not all will happen over night, yet take joy in knowing some will as you have begun a journey of self. Take the step, you already have by giving life to taking your own personal inventory. Now change can happen.

TakeDown...

Days fold upon each other, moving further from the holidays. Time to look around rooms one last time before accepting your next weekend task. Find the boxes and bags you may need fresh one's this time. Take each piece carefully in hand laying it to the side. More time spent pitting it up than backing it away. Thank you again my lovely decorations in my holiday heart you'll always stay.

PackAway...

As the harshness of winter rolls in soon. Gather all you can as the festivities are done for now. Find snug bug free corners, dare not to stack things in a way that causes trouble next year. Collect each Santa and frosty thanking them in returned smiles for brightening another season. A place for everything and everything in its place.

MakingRoom...

Slide on over so I can take a seat too, the mind just as the location needs to clear out the clutter. Just as one gets things new, there needs to be something done with all things old. Another seasonal cleaning is under way. To make way for what needs to be revamped can bring you a smile during these times of the world's hibernation. For just as the sun smiles from behind the clouds, we can smile from behind stacks of stuff if we're not careful.

Mindset...

Curled up in knots trying to get the thoughts to lay straight

Always a jumble in transition from one event to the next

Ever thinking on while trying to turn it off

Wish there was an On/Off switch or Reset button in there

Some how focus will come through the haze

Just needs some rewiring before it can be rebooted for the up-millionth time today...

ForwardLooking...

Claim to be thinking on your future yet in truth the past is all consuming for you

Keep tripping over the idea that if things had just gone differently then, you'd be different now

Never have you thought that all was meant to be, yes there may have been other avenues but the destination was always the same

Think on that for a time and ponder mental change, is this the same for us all or can we still some how look forward finally to correct our fate...

PlanMaking...

Do we truly make plans or do our plans make us?

Once said, written or claimed among witnesses the feeling starts.

Begin to feel bound to a you that lived in the past even if the time was only 5 minutes ago.

The what if's, the do I still have to, did I really mean or want to do this or that comes to plague the mind.

Clearly a plan is good to be made yet can turn out not being made to be good.

AlongtheRoad...

A skid mark here a pot hole there, one may swerve from time to time causing them to hit the breaks. To park can be a challenge when one insists on a tight space leaving things bumper to bumper. The best way to ride is on an open straight, allowing for each curve to be taken in style. Every road is different thus so is every ride…

PickingUp...

Come back where you left off, can this always be done. You are no longer the same person that was there before. By the time you return things are almost always different. To look with wiser eye's, you can see that returning may not be in the long run the best thing. It was placed aside for a time for a reason. What you hoped to return to may be better left along the wayside...

LeavingAlone...

Well enough goes with this idea. To let go of what can be a hindrance for most is easier said than done. A person, place, thing from one's past that is a stumbling block is most likely a defense against the unknown which isn't safe to our fragile being. Thus, to let it go or to leave it be can sometimes be an idea that can hurt more than the subject itself. So, make sure when you finally decide to leave something alone that it's a decision based on your truth of wanting to grow and leave bad things behind.

ComingUp...

Next in line, what will it be

Who knows what the future holds, certainly not me

Looking intently, not willing to miss a thing

All eye's on actions taken, hopes for better things keep one going

Here it comes, watch it unfold

Each move a master stroke, even the smallest blur

On the edge of our seats, breath baited hearts pumping out of the chest

What will happen, have to see what's coming next

FromScratch...

Start at the base only to work your way up

You know what that means, so those who mock you have no idea

Build what you want for yourself piece by peace

Reach your own personal version of the top

Something happens, begin to fall; looking up from the ground is hard to do right now

You did it once you can do it again, start with an even better base

Work your way up, this time you truly appreciate every step you take

SlateClean...

Wipe it down, leave nothing old behind

Fresh as when you were here before that time has long since passed

Back to square one and that's okay, sometimes a fresh start is not a bad thing

Decide to keep things clean for awhile, not quite ready to jump back in

Don't feel like risking a mess, don't feel like cleaning up all over again

Clean and clear is your palate ready to be used when you desire

Hold on get the rag back out, I think I missed a spot...
