Sorry for the mess that are my twists. Giving you reality meets real. If I had a dime for every time I heard "is that your real hair?" I could buy six "sleek" boho water crochet braids packs, and that is expensive. I love crochet soo much and these are my top 5 reasons in this "Kween on A Budgeta". Despite the the Pandemic and spending 100% of my time at home. I continue to do what I love. Write, write , write. My melanin on fleek but as for my hair… 

….. My hair. Yeah I cut it. I cut it this October. 

All those previous relaxing my mum forced on me- she now knows the errors of her ways and is my biggest fan in my journey- is over now but my hair was kinda damaged so I got rid of all those damaged ends. New beginning for me guys. My hair never grew until i started doing crochet which started last year September. Like, my hair was a real problem, it wouldn’t grow past my chin, and now it is kinda at the back of my neck and can be shaped into a nice small Afro. Don’t worry though I’m gonna get there, and a lot of people I know wanted advice on how to do their hair journey as they are inspired by me. So I thought it made sense to make a blog which had a dedicated section to hair because then they had access to all this information, and so do other people. Like trust me, I know the struggle of growing and maintaining natural hair so my blog is gonna be different from others because i’m actually in the progress of growing my hair evenly to my shoulders so I’ll be trying new products, hair protection techniques etc. but keeping you regularly updated with everything I’m doing because I can’t stand those natural hair pages that forever scam use with their big chops, product suggestions, I mean, paid ads more like, techniques that snatch your edges which they haven’t tested but look nice for the gram. Yeah, I see you pages, I’m not about that life though. I want to help. I promise you. I ain’t a phony. I just want a big Afro and I want to see all my black sisters with amazing hair too. so follow me. I’m going to post a picture of my hair from September then October, and I currently have crochet twist braids in so the next picture of my hair I post will be when I take my hair out, and I’ll show you my treatment for it. I want to try a new routine though but I’ll explain later on in the blog what I was doing from last September.  

The Afro section will not only talk about my hair but me and my culture. I’m Black African (Congolese) and live in Britain. In a multicultural city which I absolutely love. During these hard times for ethnic minorities, it’s important to stick together and people from my city definitely do that. social media and people around me have taught me to love my blackness as well as my cultural heritage. No matter what the world says I love myself, and I love my people and I love everyone else. I really want to spread positivity amongst my community. I don’t want any black girl feeling like they aren’t already perfect. You are. Everyone is beautiful, and it’s time you know that. S/o to my mum for being the Kween who taught me this, s/o to all those black pages that taught me I was just as amazing as anyone else. I want to share that love guys.
