Being disabled with bladder incontinece and not knowing if your pain is an infection or just other bowel movements..

At this point, all of it is an infection, and i just need to see a doctor to make sure and get anti biotics.

I can't remember the number of times this has happened since i have had chronic UTIs through my life even as a young kid. But now, since it's been a while (a good 7 years), the pain isn't as bad as when i was a kid (or pain tolerance) that i can't tell. I had them in elementary school, then didn't get them again until college. I have seen 3-4 urologists.. 1 being a creepy pediatric urologist, 2 being fatphobic and saying they can't do any surgeries until i lose weight (possibly pcos and other disabilities stopping me from losing weight) and the last one being for me seeing if i can cath myself.. never doing that again cause it was and is painful.

you want see me mention on any other social media that I piss myself several times a day and have near constant trust no matter what I do. I wear incontinence pads when I leave the house so as to try not to completely stink of piss but when I had a kidney infection I stink really bad.

This is really embarrassing for me and I don't talk about it because it's embarrassing nit because I'm faking being ill. My whole fucking life sucks but all I can think about sometimes is when I would injure myself in school some girls would always say I was faking it. I guess that shit damaged me and never went away. I have this feeling these awful people still lurk my Facebook and Instagram talking shit and saying I'm faking. Even after I had my tonsils removed and even now I'm waiting for surgery again.

I'm tired of pissing myself, it's not fun okay. It's not quirky or cute. It's annoying and it smells. I'm sick of changing my clothes 3-4 times a day. I'm exhausted all the time and all the meds I take make me more tired. I just wish I would fall asleep and not wake up.

its so hard to talk about our symptoms without being seen as gross or unsanitary.

When we were taking a road trip recently, my roommate made a concentrated effort to make sure I could get to the toilet in time. Only thing was, they would stop at a gas station and, very gently, ask if I needed to “go potty”

every single time, without fail, I would blush and squirm a bit in the goodnites I had been too cautious not to wear, and nod wordlessly as they pulled into a buc-ees. They would wait in the car, get gas if it was cheaper than usual but mostly just wait for the potty pants to finish emptying his baby bladder

This was just over a couple months ago so I’m still thinking about it a lot 😳😳😳

You say you’re supportive and understand of disabled people but are you supportive of people who have urinary or fecal incontinence? Are you supportive of people’s disabilities when it has to deal with something like a biohazard or something unsanitary?

Fucked up that society conditions us to be ashamed of bladder and bowel problems. Like those are organs. Nobody is embarrassed if their kidneys don’t work right.
