Bladeweaver Demo Update (05/04/24)

You'll need to restart your game from the beginning due to some design changes I've made, with new variables to pick up in the prologue etc.

After a number of delays, I'm ready to release the next update for Bladeweaver's demo! The main content of this update is the new extended prologue as well as a continuation of Chapter 2's events.

One note: Chapter 2 doesn't go as far as I wanted it to. There is a lot more content that's presently unfinished and untested, and I didn't want to put that in the update and potentially cause disappointment for those on certain routes that would end quicker than others. These parts will be added in a later update in a few weeks once it's all finished up.

With that in mind, the total wordcount comes to 150k, less than what I wanted to have out even two weeks ago unfortunately. However, I hope what's there is still appreciated 😅

Two guys who grew up with great expectations, who were cast aside by the most important people in their lives, and who now have a thing for self-sacrifice. Think of the potential, the healing, the mutual assurance they could find in one another. Think of the ridiculously verbose ways they would find to compliment each other. What starts as camaraderie would turn into a deep appreciation for the depth they see in each other

Also think of the shared tastes. I bet they share their favorite wines and books. I bet Wyll could get Gale to dance if the mood was right

Chapter 2's penultimate section, visiting Sam's home, now has a conclusion! Spend the night talking and playing with Sam or go home right away, get some insight into Sam's father and his past, as well as more context on Callen and Sonia's mysterious Debts...

This update, coming in at juuuust over 25k words, had me sweating a little trying to get it out in time haha. Because of that, there may be bugs and typos that I have missed, so I'd appreciate if they were pointed out.

It's still not entirely complete; there is a route where you show Sam the gift you got (if you brought it with you) that I just couldn't fit in time, so I'll put that in my next update.

I hope you enjoy reading the rest of this part of Chapter 2, and stay tuned in a couple of months for the end of the chapter!

An update to the Android (apk) version will come later, probably tomorrow.
