They really like trying to tell fact from fiction, so you can prolly submit any legend ever to em n they’ll have a ball tryna place it in time or determine how much of it is real/just inspired. Madison also super loves stuff that glows. Not necessarily due to spell work (tho that is neat), but more, like, natural luminescence. They raise both glow worms and glowing mushrooms, and probably have glowy stars stuck to their ceiling. Just. If it lights up in the dark, they’ll friggin love it.

As for personality, they’re kiiiiinda turning out different than everyone else? Which is the goal, it just makes em even more fun to puzzle out! They seem to be a kinda ‘take it slow, but take it,’ ‘turn over all the rocks to make sure u got all the facts BUT also know when to let it be,’ and ‘I’m cool to roll with whatever tho I will get HYPED AS HECK over stuff and u CANNOT STOP ME’ type of person. Also, as I’m sure it’s apparent, they’re nonbinary n use they/them! They go by the nickname “mads” if they ain’t bein called Madison or Mx. Batla. they're Dolores and Chen and Joey and Margaret and Lupita. Someone says, “Hey Dolores! Get a load of THIS!” in a new jersey accent. Possible things: a pile of hork in an interesting location, a pair of Avengers cuddling *unexpected pairing bonus* like Bruce and Clint, Tony and Rhodey, Rhodey and Darcy, Jane does not get left in any compromising positions because Thor tenderly removes her tiny drunken body, flailing and mumbling, to their suite well before any cleaning ladies turn up. The cleaning ladies do not even realize she lives there, though they have observed all sorts of shenanigans.

Of course the cleaning staff for the Avengers personal quarters have the highest possible clearance and the strictest possible screening processes.

What it turns out to be is the cleaning ladies are mostly ex - military who have fallen on hard times. They do sign NDA’s when they are hired, so that means they can not gossip about what they see except amongst themselves, and can not talk to journalists, And they are HARSH, and funny, snarky as hell.

They’ve seen Tony in the most foolish of passed out positions, and have resisted the temptation to take photos (mainly because they have to leave or check all electronics at the desk before they start work.

One of the benefits (aside from amazing ACTUAL benefits) to the position is scoring an annual invitation to the Stark Industries Holiday Gala, formalwear provided, hairdos provided, and Clint and Steve and Thor will always dance with the ladies, because they know them and trust them. Once a year Tony brings each of them a champagne flute, kisses them on the cheek, and takes selfies with the women. He knows how much he owes them. He hears them sometimes as they work around his drunken stupor, he knows they fucking keep their mouths shut and it is not just because he pays them well or because they’ve signed NDA’s.

They’re kind of like a collection of snarky aunties cleaning up after the children who are on holidays after a long hard semester away at school.

these ladies deal really well with the robotic accoutrements Tony is frequently inventing to make their lives easier. They do love the cleaning solutions and the floor scrubbers and polishers and the automatic plant waterers and their job is not really very horrible and they do get an in somewhere that millions of fans wish they could have an in, and they know the Avengers as Mister Stark, Captain Rogers, Agent Barton, Agent Romanov, Agent Coulson, Doctor Banner, Doctor Foster, Miss Lewis, and they just call Thor “Sir” in that way that veterans just give it up to a superior officer who they have reason to respect deeply.

A lonely brunette hair guy blows the candle on his birthday cake—well, it’s not actually a cake but a single chocolate cupcake he bought earlier after walking from the morning shift at the mini market. Today is his 20th birthday and Robbe IJzermans is celebrating alone, again. His friends back home and his parents are congratulating him, of course, but it doesn’t feel the same when they’re all together.

Robbe is an exchanged student from Belgium and been studying at University of Central Florida (UCF) for two years now. Time goes too fast, and there isn’t a single moment passed without him missing home and everything.

It’s only eight in the morning. Even though, his body is tired but his mind is restless. Robbe’s already know this kind of situation. There won’t be any use if he’s trying to get some sleep. So instead, after eating his cupcake, he grabs the jacket, backpack and leave his humble flat—suddenly have this idea of going to the theme park and treat himself there.

It takes more than two hours by train from his flat to Universal Studios, and when he’s finally get there, he whispers to the air, “home!” and smiles to himself as his feet enters the theme park.

Robbe ALWAYS love the theme park, any kind of it; probably the second favorite place in the world besides the local caffe near the college. His inner child screams in utter joy whenever he sees rides such as roller coaster, haunted house—basically, everything.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the place where he can NEVER EVER get bored. So many things to do, too many things to buy, but he always saves the rides for later. For now, he just needs to take a walk for a bit to clears his mind. Not many people comes at this hour, so it’s a good thing.

After buying a cold butterbeer, Robbe’s first plan is to see the castle and takes a selfie (if he brave enough).

“Ah, what a beauty!” Robbe says while admiring the Hogwarts Castle from afar. He knows he’s a Hufflepuff through and through but would it be so much more amazing if this school actually exists in real life? A guy can dream.

When he’s satisfy enough looking at the magical castle, Robbe continue his walking to the ice cream parlour. When he’s almost there, for the tenth time since he got there, Robbe stumbles over his own feet and.... he accidentally trips his drink over someone’s t-shirt and also knocks down theirs.

“SHIT SHIT SHIT! I AM SO SORRY! SO SORRY!” He panicks without looking at the person. “I DON’T HAVE TISSUE! SO SO SO SORRY! I STUMBLED OVER MY FEET! YOUR DRINK IS FELL TOO! I’M SO STUPID! SORRY SORRY SORRY! I WILL—“

“Dude, stop!”

Robbe’s body freeze for couple seconds after he looks up and sees a guy around his age, wearing black everything but his bleached hair is making a beautiful contrast to the appearance. This guy’s looking... handsome? Devilishly handsome? In a way; and he’s looking rather pissed.

I’m dead, Robbe thought.

“I’m so sorry. I accidentally—“

“Yeah yeah, I heard you before. You accidentally stumbled over your feet, I know. I’m not deaf. But now what’re you gonna do to fix this? This clothes is expensive. Can you buy me another one?”

Robbe is super embarrassed right now. Cursed his feet and his too-clumsy nature!

“Look, I can make everything’s right again, okay?” He finally manage to find his voice and courage. “I can wash your t-shirt, even your jeans and buy you another drink. But please, forgive me! I’m sorry!”

Not long after, the bleached hair guy snorts and laughs loud; he’s too loud, almost everyone looking at them now.

“OH MY GOD, YOU SHOULD SEE YOUR FACE! YOU LOOK TERRIFIED. SMILE A LITTLE, DUDE! IT WAS JUST A JOKE!”

“W-what?” Robbe asks, genuinely confused.

“This fucking t-shirt isn’t expensive,” the bleached hair guy says after he finally manages to calm himself from laughter. “In fact, I wanted to burn it.”

“But why? It’s nice.”

“Nope, you should buy me a cup of stracciatella ice cream then I’ll talk.”

Robbe can’t believe this weird guy; a total stranger, a little bit bossy but also exciting at the same time can stunned him easily. Feels like there’s an invisible sign above his head that speaks “DANGER!” but to hell with this—it’s still his birthday and no danger will be happened at the theme park, as far as he knows.

“Yeah, okay.” Robbe says as he follows the handsome stranger to the ice cream parlour.

Robbe almost trips when the bleached guy abruptly dead-stop in front of him.

“What is it?”

“Almost forgot,” he says, as he turns around and offers his hand. “Sander, 22, Juilliard student.”

Robbe takes Sander’s hand. It feels warm and strong in his, “Robbe, 20, exchanged student at University of Central Florida.”

Sander smirks, letting go the handshake, “cool. Come on, then!”

After they buy some ice creams and eat them on the spot, both agree to ride a Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey after this.

While they walking side by side, Robbe says, “now that I’m finally bought you an ice cream, mind to tell why you wanted to burn your clothes?”

Sander doesn’t answer for a minute or two. But when they walking pass the souvenir shop and Robbe’s being a little distracted by the wizard hat in the window, Sander says.

“Because my girlfriend gave it to me,” then he adds. “Well, an ex now.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Nah, don’t be,” Sander shakes his head. His voice is surprisingly calm and playful still. “She was cheating on me. Here, at this very park.”

“ARE YOU FOR REAL?!” Robbe absentmindedly yell but quickly compose himself. “I mean, what? Here? That’s not possible!”

“But it IS possible, Robbe.”

“I’m sorry...”

“Stop saying that!” Sander giggles. “There’s nothing to be sorry for. I’m glad I could finally get rid of her!”

“Can we... can we just sit somewhere and talk?”

Robbe doesn’t know where he gets the idea but one thing for sure, he also have the need to pour his heart out too to this guy. They may just know each other less than 2 hours, but... don’t know, but Robbe’s already trust Sander; something that never happen with anybody else, ever. And mostly, he feels that Sander need someone to talk to, even though his exterior speak otherwise.

“Because it’s you, I’ll do it.”

Wait, what? What does it mean because it’s me? Robbe thought, feeling bewildered but doesn’t mind.

“Before I continue,” Sander says after they finally sit at the cafetaria. It’s so crowded now, that they have to wait for almost 15 minutes to get a seat. “Do you think I’m a bad person for saying those things?”

“About?”

“That I’m happy for getting rid of her.”

Robbe shakes his head and smiling softly, “not at all. I swear.”

“Okay, then,” Sander sighs in relief. “We’ve been together for nearly a year now. Ups and downs, of course. But never in my life, even for a second that I thought she’d cheated on me,” he sips his iced-tea before continuing. “Like I said before, I’m a Juilliard student, that’s in New York and she’s in USF, which means we had a long distance relationship. You can still keep up, right?”

Robbe nods, not saying anything.

“Long story short, I just got here yesterday and we’re supposed to have fun today blablabla... then when I came back from the restroom, she was supposed to wait for me near the giant globe but she was nowhere to be seen. Was looking for her for nearly half an hour when I accidentally saw her french-kissed this asshole near the haunted house. Well, I took a pic of them, sent her that and said ‘wow! A public porn!’. She still had the audacity to sent “I CAN EXPLAIN, OK?!” but I blocked her number after that. The end. Happily ever after.”

“Wow...”

Sander gives him a mocking snorts, “that’s it? Just wow? What’s wow about that?”

Sander smirks while pierce his stares at him, “only you.”

“Why are you here alone?”

“Give me a better answer, Robbe.” Sander mocks.

Robbe gulps. He plays his thumbs as self-assurance that what he’s going to say next isn’t that embarrassing.

“Well, today’s actually my birthday and I’m celebrating alone for 2 years now. I’m from Belgium, by the way. I always miss it and my friends.”

Looks like there’s only single information that Sander catch because he says “happy birthday” without making any comment about other things.

After saying that, he smiles as his hand ruffling Robbe’s hair. This gesture make Robbe’s heart beats even faster than before. But it’s only a friendly gesture, right? Like what big brother usually do to his little brother? Or as a friend. Right? No matter what is, he likes it too much to care.

“Thanks.”

“Do you have a girlfriend?”

Robbe laughs at this, “no.”

“Boyfriend?”

“Good for you,” Sander grins. “But did you realise that you just come out to a stranger?”

Both are silent for few minutes before Sander taking off a necklace around his neck and place in Robbe’s palm. It’s a gold necklace with a mini violin as the pendant.

“Yes?” Robbe asks, utterly confused. His brain’s momentarily has stopped working when their hands touch once again, but this time they linger.

“This is your present.”

“For what?”

“For your birthday, dummy!” Sander says like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.

“No, Sander. I can’t! This is too expensive!” Robbe yelps but the bleached hair guy holds his hand even tighter.

“I need you to keep it!” He demands, “my mom gave it to me for my 4th birthday. It’s for a good luck and now it’s yours.”

“But—”

“I gave it to you, okay? Keep it,” Sander cuts him. “Or if you still insist, give it back to me when we meet again next time.”

“What?”

“I’m having a solo concert at Juilliard in two months. Would you be there?”

At this point, Robbe can never say no to him. Probably ever. He doesn’t know the reason why, but he’s certain that this sudden friendship will turn into something more. Hopefully. God, is he already whipped for someone he just met today?

“Are you gonna play a violin?”

“Yes,” Sander beams. “So? Would you?”

“I’d love to.”

“You promise?”

It’s true that they just met, it’s true that both doesn’t know each other that well yet, it’s true that this is quite abrupt but who would’ve thought, behind Sander’s devil-may-cry attitude, there’s an innocent and child-like insecurity? And Robbe is more than happy to get to know more about this special person.

This time, Robbe place his hand on top of Sander’s hand and whisper gently, “I promise.”

He isn’t sure how it’s gonna be, where it’s gonna lead but just them being like this—it’s more than enough. It left unsaid, but both already understand.

Reading Log for July

Once again redoing my counts bc I got more books (for free this time). Also I decided I’m going to mark which ones have bisexual characters and which ones are from my Indigenous People Only list bc it makes me, personally, happy lol.

Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller - 4 stars. This was a reread bc I couldn’t remember enough to read the second book. I still love this so much, love Sal, and also not every book about people killing each other is the hunger games and the comparisons sell this book VERY SHORT.

Three Simple Rules by Nikki Sloane - 2 stars. The first 80% of this book was really freaking good. Sexy, romantic, and kinky in a way that is Mostly consensual (there’s like. a weirdness by virtue of the book being about how the main starts fucking her boss with a blindfold so she doesn’t know it’s him for a hot minute which is not good in real life, but in erotica I’m fairly okay with it) AND THEN the main gets passed up for a promotion bc she’s fucking her boss, he says he’ll quit so she can get the promotion and then...doesn’t and it’s fine apparently bc they’re engaged now. Bad, regressive bullshit and it ruined the entire book for me.

Otherbound by Corinne Duvyis - 5 stars. This book took all the right choices at every turn which means it took the most difficult, agonizing choice at every turn. Every time I thought “well that choice is messy realistically” the book went “and here are the consequences of this desperate but still bad choice.” It’s a complicated fantasy book about a boy who flashes into the mind of a young slave girl dedicated to protecting a cursed princess with every blink of his eye. It’s horrific, fascinating, and bleak but ends with an open ended, hopeful bent that felt very earned. Also Amara, a bisexual lead, is a fanatically complex character and I would die for her (and all the characters tbh).

The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline - 5 stars. Apparently I’m on a brutal SFF roll here because holy shit. It was almost lyrical in some places as it described the post apocalyptic world, and it did such a good job of handling mixed vs monoracial Natives without ever pitting them against each other. I didn’t love the constant casual use of half br**d but I’ll let it slide one (1) time bc the author is Native.

You Had Me At Hola by Alexis Daria - 5 stars. This was AMAZING. Romantic and sexy and emotional, and also delved into how TV sets work which was just fun to read. I also loved the leads as characters and the way they’re both obviously written as having undiagnosed Problems and then this is talked about. Such a good book despite the cheesy ass title.

Ella, the Slayer by A.W. Exley - 4 stars. Solid and interesting concept, and it did a lot of good choices regarding Cinderella stories, but it was also sort of forgettable? And I thought it was weird the prince only had one chapter from his POV.

Tikka Chance On Me by Suleikha Snyder - 3 stars. Cute and sweet, with some lovable characters and an interesting plot twist that belonged in a much longer book. There was just far too much going on for this to be a novella. Also the sex scenes were Not my style.

Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan - 4 stars. Not as good as the original but still good. I liked the way their PTSD was dealt with and I LOVED the chapters from other POVs but it was oddly paced and the supporting characters were mostly annoying.

Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt - 5 stars. This was the perfect historical romance. It’s got good build up, a tense and thrilling romance, and also disabled main characters trying to survive a world that wants to silence them. The H is blind and the h has leg pain - written very well, in a way that affects the plot and also day to day issues - and it’s also a bodyguard romance!!! It has everything. It deals with class too which was just an e extra layer of fun. I loved this and I’m excited to read more by the author.

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera - 2.5 stars. Bleak, weird, and a little homophobic and no I don’t care that the author is gay. The writing has a strong narrative voice and I loved Aaron, Thomas, and Collin but that ending was awful and this book doesn’t deserve to be in the same convo as Ari and Dante. Ari and Dante got a genuinely happy ending. All the gay characters in this are miserable or brain dead by the ending and I just don’t think that’s ~good representation~.

I hope my intensity doesn’t freak you out but I wanna go all out with these two, i want a whole verse in which they argue out their long-standing enmity and heal from it, I want the Master to say YES when the Doctor offers that they travel the stars together, I want to see what might have happened after End of Time, or perhaps if the Master had returned from Series Ten, in time, to prevent that whole timeline from ever taking place, with the Doctor’s help.  TenSimm was my first Thoschei and it will always be so very special to me.  I love the threads we already have, with poetry-spewing sweet fool Docco and the Master rolling his eyes but secretly feeling like his hearts could spiral upward through the ceiling with joy.  Anyway AGH me like do thing. Do thing with Potate Me bleas.

toki dorito? honestly one of the coolest people i know, and probably one of the most skilled writers too! toki has a way with words that leaves you hung up on every sentence and it’s so so so interesting to read literally any of their writings, even if it’s something to do with memes, it’s so amazing, and i honestly just adore their writing. on top of that, the way they can portray both mean and sweetheart characters is phenomenal!

on top of that, toki is such a cool person ooc, they’re really funny and they always have good jokes and are just a meme, and also encourage my bad decisions. in short, i love toki and if you’re not following their jared, dustin ( @divinityrot ) or heather d. ( @enviedher ) (they also have a fucking ton of other blogs and theyre all SO QUALITY if u find a toki blog bleas follow it u wont regr )

You know it's been 2 years and I'm still bitter about the ending of bleach. How as a Ichiruki fan I was played and tossed by k*bo till the end. But I don't care what those IH say I'm taking my ship to my grave until my last breath. Also it's funny how ppl are using IR who is not canon for cash. Sad huh for IH who keeps harrasing us (guess their jealous coz we have the glory) We are the foundation of bleach take us off and you have a crumbling building like blech.

WIll still be bitter untill our last days my friend lol. But yeah IR is to good to toss it aside like ku/bo did, after all he gave them, we don’t need anytihng anymore he can step aside, we’ll take care of IR now.

What I didn’t expect tho is IR still being used like this after the ending, I honestly thought that after all the anger the ending brought throward Bleah and Ku/bo they were gonna focus on the fanbase that is ready to lick ku/bo’s ass (fanboys and IH) and so they were gonna please them you know? Keep the last that still remained in the fandom that never complain on anything, ku/bo could do a special chapter about yu/zu being in love with Ichigo and they would scream how amazing, such talent! LMAO but instead what we got? Merch and content and the movie still focused on the beginning of the story and the ichiruki bond, the people that didn’t even want to hear about blech anymore are still being targeted, bc that’s what evryone loves and what rapresents Bl/each old gold days and what’s actually worth telling about blea/ch. The best part is I don’t know how many times IH fandom screamed at us “it was in the first arcs” “it doesn’t matter anymore” “it’s old story” and here we are years later and everone working on Bleach still choosing once again to spend all those money to make a movie about something as “irreleveant” as the first arc and a non canon ship.

JK FJKH no but actually !! ive known squidy for a hot minute too. we've been friends for a good few years now ( met on a .... fucgkign minec.raft server................. ) and i love them sm !!! every call that we have inevitably turns into a shitfest where we're wheezing our asses off. i may get on their ass every second & try to roast them for every little thing but its mostly because i just love their reactions and i love talking to them in general ??? and im petty but we're not talking abt that rn LMAO. but yea squidys such a fun person to hang out with & i appreciate talking to them lots !! and even though theyre not the most active either, i love what they have of their 2.D so far and i cant wait to see more of him once summer starts because i really like squidy's writing and im suuuper excited for that. also theyre making a russ.el probably and im.... so gay...... our thread rn is cute af and we gotta talk more abt them Um Squidy Hmu Bit.

i love !!! bones !!!! i havent known them for long, only a few months maybe, but talking to them every day has been a blast and our convos are usually filled with Chaotic Plotting and us talking over each other and its just. Gr8. we originally met on our a.va's dem.on blogs and i remember loving her m.aggie so fuckin much dude everything she said abt her was so !!! dang !!! good !!!! and even now with her emb.er & her ecla.ir i can see how much care & thought she puts into all of her muses. dude even thinks into their family and develops those characters which makes everything SO MUCH MORE REALISTIC. her writing is a joy to read also ?? its so pretty i love how she describes everything and i love all of the little references she sticks into her descriptions that fit her characters perfectly. im glad i dragged them into g.orillaz hell w/ me because we've got such a good thing going on w/ em & noods it makes me so happy !! also callout for bones WE GOTTA THREAD SMTH ASAP OR IM SPAMMING ASKS

KIT IS AN ANGEL. i've only actually spoken her for maybe ??? two ?? three weeks ??? but we hit it off super quick and shes such a nice & supportive person ! i believe we first followed each other on our a.vas d.emon blogs but, seeing as we were both the same character, we never really approached each other 'til joining g.orillaz. i am so glad we actually started talking bc BOI !!!! I LOVE HER !!! she's so fun to talk to & to plot with. we'll just throw lil concepts at each other every once in a while and its Gr8. and !! her 2.d is so fuckin spot on let me tell u she's one of the ppl that, when i see her on the dash, i stop and read her writing even if it isnt for me because im so gay for her writing style. its so descriptive and eloquent and i love the way she formats ! i feel like she does his dialogue perfectly every time because its never been hard to understand for me but it still reads in his voice in my head which is (ok emoji x20). her hcs are a joy to read & i just !!! dont get me started on what we've talked about for 2.d and noodle im SO FUCKIN HEART-EYES FOR REALLY CLOSE PLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS AND THEY GOT ME SO EXCITED TO REPLY TO EVERYTHING ??????
