sims 2 spice festival lot download

i've always wanted the spice festival from sims 4 in sims 2, so i made this lot. this lot is a combination of the spice district + fashion district. there is a gallery, dance studio, thrift store, record store, boba shop, painting area, food festival, and places where your sims can just chill, blow some bubbles, play some pool, takes pictures with friends, and enjoy a movie night together.

i know this lot is HUGE so i will give permission to everyone to revamp it, shrink it using lot adjuster, and make it smaller. i want this lot to be functional for you & not flash pink.

about blue objects:

if you experience item flashing blue, it's because your game is missing cc/mesh. i recommend taking screenshot of the object and google it then download the file from the original creator. this will fix your problem.

In Bloom: Mini-Regency Set

Hi, I have a miniset for you all which I've called ✨In Bloom✨, why you may ask? Because I couldn't think of any other name and my nirvana playlist was playing while making this...now proceeding to what you shall get:

You will be getting an Adult Female early 1820s formal/party dress, which was the first piece of cc I ever made last summer. I said I wasn't going to release it, however I've changed my mind. I used @peebsplays Sophia Dress, @gilded-ghosts Fanny dress, and some bows from @miikocc to make it. Here is the dress I was inspired by when making it from 1820, (It doesn't look like it but it that much was my first project sooo)

I'm sorry it only has 9 swatches and I can't seem to find the PSD I had for it. Otherwise, it's functioning and works for all body types.

Secondly, you will be getting a child regency dress, which is just a mesh edit of @peebsplays Caroline dress, and then I stuck my edited variation of @linzlu's Kirsten pantalettes onto it. Works for all body types and has 30 swatches.

Third, which is my favorite thing, child ringlets! I have struggled for the past few months trying to make accurate ringlets and I finally did it the other night. I used @the-melancholy-maiden's Caroline hair as a base, then used ringlets from @sixcirclescc's Serena Hair to paste and mirror around it. These ringlets are 18k poly, which is a bit high. Here is the little girl I was inspired by to make these ringlets, her name was either Pauline or Clementine so the ringlets are named Clementine Pauline. All natural swatches, minus the grays and salt and peppers because it's a child's hair.

I said they're regency for the sake of it but they can literally work for the vast majority of the 19th century, at least for the first and middle part of it.

Prompt Day 8: Gift | Word Count: 613 | Rating: T | CW: Language | Tags: Post S4, Eddie Munson Lives, Older Steddie, Established Relationship, Reminiscing

It might have looked like it was wrapped by hands that were all thumbs, but at least it was covered, Eddie thinks, looking down at the photo in his hand. That was a long, long time ago. And he likes to think he's gotten at least a little bit better at wrapping gifts since this picture was taken.

He might be fooling himself, though. Steve wraps almost all the gifts they give these days, and there's definitely a reason for that.

He glances at the timestamp in the corner: 12/25/87.

Decades fly by faster than you'd ever expect them to, that's for damn sure. 

Eddie flips to the next one in the stack of photos, and it's just wrapping paper all over the floor from the same Christmas. They were just kids back then. Living in their first apartment, fresh out of Hawkins, probably working four or five jobs between them. They did that a lot in those early years. Passing ships in the night, barely seeing one another.

That usually meant their ends would always meet, though, even if barely at times, and they were together. Even if not exactly in the same room most of the time.

Eddie remembers how happy he was that he could afford to buy gifts for Steve that year, picked out with only a little help from Robin.

"Do you remember this Christmas?" Eddie asks, flashing the photo in Steve's direction. 

Steve pulls his reading glasses up from the chain around his neck. He smiles, "That's the year the heater went out."

Eddie had forgotten about that. Steve banging on the radiators, like he was CC Bloom. A few years later, when they finally watched Beaches at Robin's bequest, which still, fuck her for that, because it made him cry, but as soon as the clanging on the radiators scene happened, Steve looked right at him. A familiar scene thrust right to the forefront of their minds: Steve, wrench in hand, banging with gusto.

He didn't accomplish anything other than annoying the neighbors, but that's okay. It's a good memory, of years gone by. The heat might have never come on, but bundling up was a much more productive endeavor, anyway. 

That Christmas, with no heat to speak of, but presents under the tree, they'd been happy. The two of them, in layers upon layers of clothes, curled up together on that old broke down couch.

They were happy then, and they're happy now. 

They've seen relationships crumble, break, bend, and they've somehow kept on an even keel together. Growing at the same pace, in the same direction. It's luck. A miracle.

Eddie knows that this thing between them could have ended in a million different ways if things had only gone a little differently, here or there. He doesn't think they are destined, or fated. He doesn't think they are soulmates.

But those relationship-ending events never happened, because they worked together to make sure they never would. They wanted to stay together, so here they are.

And Eddie will always be grateful that it all worked out. He nearly died, bitten and bleeding, but he didn't. He was given the gift of more time.

Steve had that wreck ten years later, and the timeline could have diverged again right there. But it didn't. And they were ahead of the curve. They already knew how to recover in each other's presence, how to mend all the broken pieces into something so good that Eddie can hardly stand it at times.

It's been a gift.

The gift of a life together, a full happy existence, with Steve.

And it's the best gift he's ever gotten.

some thoughts on creating custom cars

i tried to give the hunka 711 a longer wheelbase (as pictured above) and it resulted in some trouble.

1: wheels

so the first thing i learned is: if cloning from an EA car, keep the meshes of the wheels in the same place, do not move them forward or backward along the z-axis. shifting them on the x-axis, such as making them wider/thinner, seems fine. you must keep the wheels of a custom car mesh in the same place as the ea car clone, or else the wheels will animate horribly when the car is in motion even if the bones are assigned correctly.

bloom says that if you're cloning from a Fast Lane SP car, it is possible to shorten/extend the wheelbase using his method, however i haven't tried this. i believe most cc cars (freshprince, dailycard, understrech) are not cloned from Fast Lane SP cars, but regular EA cars instead.

the joints are usually assigned this way: 1 for the car body, then 1 joint for each of the 4 wheels. you can look at an EA car for reference. it is probably best to assign the bones/joints manually as using Mesh Toolkit may assign bits of the car's body mesh to the wheel joint, causing that area to distort when the car is in motion.

2: rigs

as mentioned above, in bloom's forum post, he describes a way to edit the Fast Lane car's wheel placement by editing the RIG resource inside the car's package file.

the rig editor is an add-on to s3pe which can be downloaded here.

to edit a car's rig resource, you need to install the add-on. then: open the car's package in s3pe, right-click on the "rig" resource, then click on "rig editor".

the rig resource also controls where the sim sits inside the vehicle. if you want to edit the sim's position, this is what you need to edit in rig editor:

look for the resources with "IKtarget_seat" in the name. this controls the general seat placement of the sims in the vehicle. in the rig editor's screen on the right, you can edit the X Y and Z coordinates of the position. the X coordinate will move the sim left or right, Y will move the sim up or down, and Z will move the sim forward or backward. there are 4 "IKtarget_seat" resources, i don't know which controls the driver seat or passenger seats but you'll probably want to edit all the coordinates with the same changes to be consistent.

"IKtarget_foot": these resources control the placement of the sim's feet when sitting inside the car, like how stretched out or tucked in their legs are.

"IKtarget_SteeringWheel_01 and 02": these resources control the left and right hand placement on the steering wheel. if your sim's hands are misaligned with the steering wheel while driving, these are the resources to edit.

3: shadow meshes

in tsr workshop, each level of detail's mesh (high, medium, low) has a corresponding shadow mesh. if you've made significant changes to an existing car mesh, or if you've imported an entirely new car mesh over an EA car, you will also want to generate new shadow meshes so that the car's shadow looks correct in-game. if you do not generate new shadow meshes, you are likely to see weird misaligned shadows on the car's body, and the car's sun shadow on the ground will look off. so make sure to generate new ones for EVERY level of detail. tsr workshop has a one-click button that does it so it's pretty quick once you're satisfied with the actual car mesh. you can try generating high, medium and low LOD shadow meshes, or you can try generating shadow meshes using the high LOD mesh for the high, medium and low shadows to see if you get better quality shadows in-game.

Nouk Lolita hair + Alpha edits in Afterglow

When I did this mesh in Pooklet textures, I only did the original alpha, but there's a few alphas and variations out there, so I did a few more this time!

The original alpha + Zesta02's 'Zoen' alpha + Zesta02's short alpha (slightly edited the side bangs to be shorter for more variety). All have one binned natural family in one package, plus 8 unbinned afterglow customs. Then there's a couple of families of binned streaked customs: for the original alpha, I pinched @spell-bloom's idea of doing coloured side bangs modeled on @horusmenhosetix's Ava Cadavra retexture, but added more colours to make it a family (black x lavender, brown x dark red (pictured), blond x mint, red x pink). Then I borrowed @mrs-mquve-cc's streaked version, moved the scalp streaks to fit my texture, and made a family based on those (black x darkred (pictured), brown x mint, blond x teal, red x green). Fully compressorized, labelled, mesh is included in the zips.
