Hi Petty! Question! Tho I'm sure you might be making a post about the colors in Jack and Joker but what is the significance of Joke wearing that maroon color consistently in ep 2? Is that his redemption color??

@negrowhat, I'm at my job in-between classes trying to write my thoughts after watching the episode and capturing thirty images (which I also did on the clock), but I keep getting interrupted because my department chair expects me to work today. Like, bruh.

But I wrote a previous Wild Ass Theories post that I just reblogged because I knew Jack and Joke would be color-coded. Jack is a Black Brooder and Joke is a Red Rascal.

So his red this episode was just him fulfilling his color-coded duties.

However, my wild ass theory dealt with the blue that connects him and Jack, and I think it has to do with Jack, not the reaper, and Joke, not the thief. Like the blue is them without the personas.

Or at least I think it is.

But, once again, the red/maroon is just Joke up to his usual Red Rascal shenanigans.

Which is why we knew he was Aran's makeup assistant before we even saw his face.

It's Joker's signature color.

Bob convinces Summer she should just leave Mitchell already and be with him. After all he's certainly going to find out about the affair soon, and there's no way their marriage can be saved after that. It doesn't even have to be all that sad, she can just move in with Bob immediately.

So she does.

at first, it feels like he's just taken the best nap of his life. he wakes up almost cozy, body warm, a nice breeze cutting through. it takes a few seconds for his mind to catch up, the warmth turning into a hot ache, some hard surface pushing into his arms, the breeze tinged with some pine-y scent. he tries to stretch, and the ache turns into an ow ow ow sharp pain. the second he hisses, he's being grabbed.

it doesn't take leo's mind nearly as much time to recognize raph.

his arms, too, are out of commission -- it takes him a solid few seconds to return the hug, and even then, it's a light grip at best. this doesn't seem to bother raph, who if anything, hugs him tighter. "good--" his joke is ruined by the way his voice cracks; his throat hurts too, now that he's using it. he tries to clear his throat, but even the cough is frail-sounding. he lets raph take on more of his weight and tries to run through his memory. he remembers being freezing, and a lot of fighting -- he's not this sore from a fight, surely. he's always been so good at shaking these things off. "hey, raph." he forgoes the good morning?, having surmised that this is more of a real bad tumble wake-up call. even when raph tenses like he might move back, leo keeps one hand on his shell, none too keen on pressing what must be some pretty killer bruises back against -- "am i...in a bathtub?"

Nico causing wounds to necrotize. Even from a small scratch on your finger, it spreads so fast your only hope is an amputation asap.

Jason holding the air still in your lungs. You're not dying because you don't have air, but because you can't get it out and are literally choking.

Hazel controlling stones in jewelries. Imagine getting chocked by your necklace, your finger being sectioned by your ring, being handcuffed by your bracelets, your head being crushed between your earrings...

Thalia manipulating the electricity in your body. Causing your nervous system to move in certain ways, or just shutting down your brain activity.

The big 3 are terrifying, and I wish we would've seen them (others than Percy) being more op. Cmon Rick, show us reasons the gods are afraid of them !

I have such a deep appreciation for the BG3 voice actors. They will willingly take time out of their day to make videos just to indulge us. Like. Lae’zel reciting “Milkshake” in a deadpan voice. Rolan lost in a library. Zevlor nervously asking Tav for a kiss. Gale reciting poetry. Astarion trying to get us up in the morning. Jaheira and that lightbulb.

And the coolest part is that, given their willingness to do all those things, that appreciation is clearly mutual.
