The synopsis says: “It’s the hottest summer on record and London is dying. I couldn't be more excited to be working with @jonnywaistcoat on his next two novels! This is just more of what he does best - pulling apart the very seams of society and giving me very specific new sleep paralysis demons, and somehow getting me to say thank you afterwards.

Y'all, I've been sitting on this for TEN MONTHS and now I finally get to talk about it!!!

I have a new QUEER YA HORROR graphic novel coming in 2026! Creepy ghosts, deep queer friendships, gender euphoria and trans self-realization... oh, and a haunted high school musical! It's exactly the type of horror story with heart that I always wanted to tell but didn't think I'd ever be "allowed" to..... and now I finally can!

(Different name 'cause it's YA, but yep, that's me!)

Pretty sure my agent and editor aren't on tumblr, but I still have to shout them out because they are AMAZING. Jen Azantian believed in this story from the start, and her feedback made me cry (in a good way). And Alex Aceves immediately understood the heart of the story, and her feedback has just been incredible. She knows exactly how to bring out the best in a story like this.

I can't wait to share it with all of you!

It has all the flavours you’ve come to know in my writing: a diverse cast, queernormativity, threads of arab my and african roots and perhaps a touch more 🌶️. But most of all FAEBOUND is born of #BlackGirlMagic Told in the dual point of view of two elven sisters captured here by @layaart (ty i love them so much). YEERAN is a Colonel of the Waning Army. Or she was before she was exiled. Far from home she comes face to face with a magical beast that might just be her salvation. The skin of the obeah has enough magical potency to created a weapon worthy of her freedom. LETTLE is a diviner, a reader of the fates. She follows her sister into the wilderness in the hope of bringing her home again. But she’s not alone, Rayan, a captain under Yeeran, has promised his former colonel to keep Lettle out of trouble. But trouble follows them both. Expect: Drum magic, rivals to lovers, hidden realms and of course…fae!

Ahoy everyone! I have wonderful news. After four and a half years of working on my book, it not only is now 100% complete, but tomorrow keep your eyes out for a very special post here, where I will be announcing the book's title, premise, and release date! It has been a long journey, and I've kept the premise under wraps for the most part (aside from a few I've spoken, or conferred, with). But its very gratifying to be able to state that the project is complete, and I am very excited to reveal more information tomorrow and in the coming days.

I have a book coming out next Saturday! It’s a little gay, very magical, and builds on the world in THE GHOST AND THE REAL GIRL.

All her life, Adi has felt at home underground. The daughter of copper miners, it was expected that she would follow her parents’ into the Red Mines as soon as she was old enough. Only now, she wakes to find gemstones in her bed every morning. At first, it's exciting. New crystals ever day, and maybe her parents won't have to work for days on end. However, it soon becomes clear that each time she brings something to the surface, it vanishes from below, making the mountain crumble underneath them.

Suddenly one day, an earthquake buries her father and the other miners under ten tons of rock, trapping them deep underground. Adi must summon all of her new magic to find a way through the caves that snake their way through the mountain before they run out of air, water, and hope.
