Mental Reset Day (8/18/24)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's been a few days since I've been on - my summer allergies have been absolutely HORRIBLE! But I'm VERY grateful for today! I've been looking forward to it for days.
Part of the reason I've been looking forward to my mental reset day this week is because I've decided to create my own 'Zen Basket' (sort of like a Boo Basket, but for my mental reset day). When my mom and I went shopping this week, I got everything I needed for it and I finished putting it together last night, so it was ready for this morning.
The first thing I did this morning was clean off/make my bed and desk. I absolutely HATE clutter on my mental reset day. It's completely distracting. I really need to work on that because doing it the morning of definitely kills the 'zen' mood.
After that I looked at Pinterest and saved my newest pins to my laptop. I do this because several of my pins keep getting reported for the STUPIDEST of things - and reported for things that they have nothing to do with. To bypass this, I make all my boards 'secret' and I make sure to save them so that if they ARE taken down, I still have them.
After that, I slipped on my red sparkly slippers (which were part of my Zen basket) and made my way into the kitchen to fix myself a cup of my special coffee, which was something else in my Zen basket, along with my Christmas reading mug that I used for the first time this morning. The coffee was nothing special - just white chocolate syrup. With my coffee in hand, I went back to my room, lit my juice watermelon candle (you guessed it - another Zen basket surprise) and wrote myself a letter, reflecting on the past week and the upcoming week. I almost skipped it because I was so tired, but I'm glad I did it because it definitely helped me figure out what I wanted to focus on more this week.
I'm in the midst of organizing my library on Calibre, so I worked on that for a while, which was a lot of fun. I'm one who likes to always have a project going, even something simple like that. I also listened to a calming instrumental playlist on YouTube (part of my Zen basket) and that was really nice.
I tried my hand at exercising again. I have this Bosu ball (like an exercise ball, but with a flat bottom) which I use to help with my vestibular issues, and I walked on that for 20 minutes while watching Chopped on Sling. It was slow, because it's hard keeping my balance, but I think that will help to prevent the inflammation from acting up. The best part is, I think I have a new form of exercise. When I was a teenager and REALLY getting into the swing of exercise (as part of my weight loss journey) one of my favorite things to do was walk on the treadmill while watching the food channel. It really makes me sad that I can't do that anymore, but I think this will be a good alternative. I have a blue wave board that sort of acts like the Bosu ball, so I'm going to use that instead of the Bosu ball so I can prevent it from going flat. Exercising was definitely a favorite part of my day.
After that, I REALLY got into the most anticipated part of my day. Despite having over 2,000 books in my digital library, I still add to it, and I have this list of books I want to get first. I picked a random book, put it in an envelope last night to open this morning and then bought whatever the book was. For this week's book, it was Invisible Girl by Jill Childs. I've already read two of her books and I was excited but anxious to get it because while I loved the first book, I didn't enjoy the second one as much. I spent the next 2 hours reading (curled up under my throw blanket - part of my Zen basket) and I was completely surprised I was only 25% through it. It is SUCH a great book and I'm absolutely in love. I love books that are set in the UK, and it just had this warm, cozy vibe to it that I always associate with the UK, so it immediately drew me in. I also had rain and thunder sounds going on in the background, which really helped set the mood.
I watched a few videos on my YouTube playlist, made a weekly plan of what I wanted to get done, and then picked two random movies from my 'to watch' list. The first one was Back to Christmas (or Correcting Christmas). I have to admit I was disappointed when this one was chosen. I LOVE Christmas, but my mom is the big Christmas movie fan - I have only a handful of Christmas movies I like to watch. I'm definitely glad I watched it, though. It will definitely be going on my list. The second was The Ring with Naomi Watts. It will NOT be going on my list of movies to watch again. I don't watch horror movies, but every once in a while I like to give it a try. Sometimes I find one or two that I like, but most of the time I don't.
While watching that, I made myself a smoothie in my new tumbler (Zen basket, of course). Unfortunately, that smoothie was probably the most disappointing part of my day. I love grape juice, and I came up with a smoothie recipe that I thought sounded pretty good (grape juice, almond milk, cinnamon, and vanilla) but it didn't turn out how I was expecting. My mom liked it more than me, actually. Since I used about 2 ounces more of the grape juice, I figured it would have more of a sweetness to it, but the unsweetened almond milk definitely overpowered it. It gave it a nutty/green sort of flavor. I wouldn't make it again. I also had some snacks that were in my Zen basket. While I had been intending to eat a couple of Lindor chocolate truffles, the smoothie filled me up so much that all I could handle was two small gummi packets. Naturally, they were gone within 15 minutes, lol! I think in the future I might stick with popcorn.
After my movies I did some writing. I had a random writing prompt and used the special pen in my Zen basket to write it with. Unfortunately, this was a bit of another disappointment. Even though I wrote for a good hour or so, the prompt didn't turn out how I wanted, so I feel like I wasted that hour. I still enjoyed listened to the sounds in the background, however :-)
The last thing I did before going to bed was some coloring. I have like 9 coloring books, so I picked a random book and page, got my colored pencils, and just colored for an hour or so. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, which annoys me, considering how many coloring books I have. I think next week I might just stick with my Happy Color app on my iPad.
I think this was perhaps my favorite mental reset day, but it was also bittersweet, because I enjoyed it so much that I wish I could do it every day. But I know if it did that, I wouldn't appreciate it as much as I would only having it one day a week. Despite that, however, I'm looking forward to the week ahead and hopefully getting everything done on my weekly list that I want to and I'm eagerly looking forward to next week's metal reset day :-)

Will you write something for Christian again?!!!?! I’m so sad he’s injured I miss him :’( I don’t have a specific idea but if you need one I’ll come up with something!! 💓🌟😚
one thing - christian pulisic
cause you’ve got that one thing
Tumblr media
summary - christian and you were merely aquanauts. you had met a couple of times, but never properly. although the two of you had said no more than 10 words to each other, he still managed to catch feelings for you
pairing - christian pulisic x fem!reader
song inspo - one thing (one direction)
warnings! - none, pure fluff
word count - 1.9k
note - thank you so much for your request! and i miss christian too! i hope he is able to heal soon.
-
“coach berhalter, how many more water bottle do you need filled?”.
you had been working as a managers assistant for the us men’s national team, and apart from being away from your family, you enjoyed it a lot.
you had been a manager for your colleges basketball team which gave you some experience, but getting to be an assistant for the us men’s national team was something you never expected. you weren’t even studying anything in the sports field, in fact, your major was english.
“give me 20. i want them to last a good 30 minutes. thank you”.
you grabbed the wagon of the empty water bottles and started bringing them to the us locker room area. there was a room next to the actual locker room that had supplies, and the water station. you had started filling up the water bottles when you heard someone behind you.
“excuse me, hey, sorry, coach told me to bring you these 5 bottles to fill up”.
you turn around to see christian pulisic holding 5 water bottles, standing there, just a little awkwardly.
“oh, thank you! tell him i’ll be right out!”
christian gave you the bottles and ran back to the field. you finished filling the bottles up and hurried back to the field.
-
“hey coach, she said she’ll be right out”.
coach berhalter nodded and christian got back to practicing. they team had a good 3 hours of practice, which was good considering this world cup was a big one, and the boys were ready to bring their all. it was england v usa, and tensions were high. they couldn’t loose this.
y/n brought the waters out and like clockwork, all the boys ran to grab a bottle. after everyone had gotten their bottles, y/n made her way to the bench and sat down. she always had to stay relatively close incase coach, or any of the players needed something.
-
practice has come to an end and the boys went to their locker room to pack up and have a short team meeting. while they were in there, you cleaned up a bit on the bench, and the field, making sure everything was put away and organized.
the boys piled out of the locker room as you were finishing cleaning up. you could hear their loud laughing and music. “we’ll see you tomorrow, y/n” coach yelled.
“see you tomorrow coach!” you yelled back, still cleaning. it was just you on the practice field now. all alone. it was kind of nice though. all quiet.
“hey” you heard a voice from behind you.
“i asked coach if i could practice by myself a bit”.
it was christian pulisic. of course. you had nothing bad to say about christian, he was a nice person from what you could tell, and a great player. you just found it a little ironic that this is your second run in with him in one day.
“okay cool. do you need help setting things up again?”
“yeah that would actually be great if you don’t mind. sorry i’m asking this, i know you just put everything away”.
you could tell christian felt awkward about asking you to take everything back out again. you really didn’t mind though. you knew that these guys would train for 24 hours straight if it meant winning the world cup. it meant everything to them, so helping christian set things back up again was no problem at all.
the two of you started setting up cones and hurdles, placing them into straight and zig zag lines, making sure they were lined up correctly. you got a couple bosu balls out and practice dummies.
christian was practicing independently for a good 30-45 minutes. you sat in your usual seat near the bench and read a book, until christian came over to you.
“i have another favor to ask. can you be my goalie?”
you were taken at back, especially because you had never done anything goalie related before, and you certainly didn’t want to get hit hard.
“i promise i won’t hit you, at least not on purpose”.
you nodded your head and got up to go be goalie. how fun. being a practice goalie was never in the job description, but you have to go off book sometimes.
you spent the next hour practicing with christian. the two of you had done free kick, you obviously being the goalie, 1v1’s, passing drills, and then doing the cross bar challenge. you and christian had a lot of fun, although, you didn’t know if christian got anything out of this. regardless of the practice being helpful or not, the two of you had fun, and you got to know one another better.
“so you majored in english, you went to NYU, you work as an aspiring author, with the day job of working at a cafe? that’s honestly living the life of you ask me”.
“says the one who’s a famous soccer player, living in england, best friends with other famous soccer players, being in the usa men’s national team, and being rich”.
the two of you have a laugh while you get water and cool off. you both start picking up the cones, hurdles, and other random things on the field, putting them into various bags and bins.
“you know, you’re a pretty good player. did you used to play or something?”
“i played all throughout my childhood and into high school. i stopped freshman year of college”.
“oh that’s sick. what position?”
sick? that’s sick? you took a second to process that christian pulisic said you playing in high school was sick, as if that’s not what thousands of kids do in high school.
“center mid”
“i could’ve guessed. your footwork is really good!”
getting complimented by the christian pulisic would be your personality trait for the next, forever.
“this is kind of random, but would you want to go out to dinner tonight. the guys were planning on ordering in, and i’m up for more, you know? plus i think you’re really cool, and i wanna get to know you more”.
holy shit.
christian pulisic just asked you out, in probably the chillest, and most casual way possible. it took your brain to process what just happened. you obviously want to go out with him. who wouldn’t?
“i would love to!”
“okay cool. there is this place near our hotel that looked pretty cool. we could go at like 7:30? would that work?”
so this is for real. you are going on a date with christian pulisic before one of the biggest days of his life. he could be spending tonight with his teammates, but he wants to go out with you instead… unreal.
“that’s sounds great”.
christian was running late. he was never early, but definitely never late. he wanted to make sure he was down in the hotel lobby before y/n.
christian was getting more nervous by the second, which was rare for him. nervous christian was not a common sight. he only really got nervous before games, but for everything else, he was also calm about.
christian had wanted to ask y/n out for months, but since they had never really talked, it seemed weird to ask. ever since they first met all the way in august, he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about her. he didn’t know what drew him to her, all he knew was that she had something in her that he wanted. there was just that sparkle in her eye that he feel in love with.
at 7:25 y/n came down the stairs of the hotel to get to the lobby and christian was mesmerized. she wasn’t wearing anything too fancy, just a simple black slip dress. but there was something about her presence that out christian in a trance. when she finally got to the last step christian walked over to greet her.
“you look amazing! i mean, you are so gorgeous”.
y/n couldn’t hold back her blushing. she couldn’t believe this was real. the whole situation was spontaneous and a little funny, but nonetheless, she was over the moon.
“you don’t look too bad yourself”.
christian was wearing a simple black suit with a white button up underneath. the restaurant they were going to was definitely a fancy one, but not so much so, where they felt underdressed. when the two walked in, they were greeted with an amazing smell of food. it was warm inside, and had an amazing atmosphere.
-
the hostess seated you two in a booth, and to your surprise, christian took a seat next to you rather than across from you, which made you blush once again.
you had ordered your food and the two of you talked about your lives, simply enjoying each others company. at not point was dinner awkward. you both always found a topic to talk about or a joke to tell.
“so why did you want to ask me out?” you blurt out. the question had been on your mind since you left the field earlier in the day.
christian took a minute to gather his thoughts before he spoke.
“i noticed you a while ago. there was just something about you that i was so interested in, but i couldn’t figure it out. i’ve been thinking about you a lot, and after today, i realized that i do legitimately like you. not to say i didn’t like you before, but today i saw a new side of you. a non-working side of you. you’re funny and nice, and you are definitely a good soccer player”.
you turn to look at the table, trying to hide your dorky grin and blushed cheeks. you didn’t expect to hear christian say he’s liked you for a while. you always thought you went unnoticed on the team.
you didn’t know how to respond to him, not wanting to make things awkward. but as if christian had read your mind, he cupped your face with one hand and pulled you closer.
“you have no idea how long i’ve waited for this”.
and with that, he locks your lips together. the second you kiss him back, christian deepens the kiss. your hand makes its way around his neck as the two of you sit in the booth.
christian was the one to break the kiss, both of you grasping for air. the two of you couldn’t hold in your giggles. your foreheads are pressed together to block your laughing faces from others seated nearby.
you get the check from your waiter, and after paying you two decide to walk around before going back to the hotel.
you’re arms were linked with one another as you two talked. before you knew it, you were back at the hotel.
you gave christian a peck on the lips before walking towards the steps.
“y/n! same time and place tomorrow?” christian calls out. you give him a nod, which earns a shy smile from him.
“it’s a date”.

way too long ankle thoughts
I have had fairly weak ankles for a pretty long time - I sprained one pretty badly in my senior year of high school and then kept respraining it for... at least a year after? Then I sprained my other ankle in college and made a hobby of respraining it, then I - a couple years(?) later want on one run that I went on often and ended up with acute tendinitis that became long-lasting-mystery-ankle-affliction, which lasted me more or less from 2021 to 2024 in ebbs and flows of "I think it's getting better this time" / "agh one slightly-too-long-hike set me back months again". And it's more or less much better now! Not 100%, but measurably improved (the last "I think it might be better this time!" I was topping out at 6 miles on flat ground, and I did 12 with a little elevation a few weekends ago).
Throughout these, the doctor's appointments were of middling use. I'd say a 30/30/40 mix of "making it better", "making it actively worse", and "mystifying and useless". I tried physical therapy - this did seem to help lead to improvement, but I attribute this largely to (1) having done quite a bit of research before my first visit and arriving with "The doctor said I have X, so I tried all these different exercises and stretches and I'm still getting pain" and (2) a physical therapist can be seen for an hour at a time for several weeks in a row and this makes them more vulnerable to interrogation than the average US MD, who will see you for 15 minutes of a 30-minute appointment a month from now if you're lucky. The physical therapist was also about a 70% useless woo/30% useful mix, but the duration meant that 30% was pretty impactful.
As far as I can tell, the things that worked for me were
Strengthening the ankle with various exercises like calf raises, resistance band thingamabobs, etc. A lot of these felt really easy when I looked up "exercises for ankle strength" - there are ways to modify them to make them more challenging. My understanding is that a healing ligament can't heal tightly and a sprained ankle benefits from having stronger muscles to help hold it more in place.
Balance exercises - not just standing on one foot, but doing one-foot calf raises, using a balance board/bosu ball, doing one-leg squats and such that require balance through the range of motion, etc. Messing around with my sister's slackline. Roller blading. This has to do with the proprioception thing, as far as I know.
Strengthening and stretching the muscles of the foot itself. This - I think - was the breakthrough for my particular situation. With all the staying-off-my-ankle, there were a bunch of foot muscles that help with stabilization that got very weak with disuse.
Strength stuff for hips and knees as well.
(for all the exercises, I really can't give a recommendation. Absolutely not a doctor. What I can say is that I got frustrated early about things being too easy or too hard - but almost anything can be modified to add or subtract difficulty, and I do have a decent mental catalog of the variations that I've done.)
Using hiking poles. What would have been a minor rolled ankle pre-sprain would become a re-sprain - poles helped me head off several re-sprains.
Wearing a lace-up ankle brace (from the pharmacy, like $20, nothing fancy) that helped prevent re-sprains in situations where poles wouldn't cut it or didn't apply.
Actually doing the boring exercises and shit. This was a very difficult thing even with a burning desire to banish ankle problems entirely. I had a lot more success tacking them on to the end of other exercise; dedicating solely ankle time was (is) anathema to my attention span. Small things that helped: Finding things which target some weak areas (balance, ankles, knees, hips) that aren't boring as fuck (stand up paddle board [when available], roller blades, biking, climbing, even regular gym exercises that use balance, etc). Having a buddy for accountability. Taking 20 min to get outside and do things before work. being unemployed for a couple months. leaving resistance bands out in view so I remember they exist. going on hikes and walking on my toes. walking weirdly around town (on heels, on toes, with funky stride). doing the exercises between routes at the climbing gym. standing on one foot while working. etc etc etc.
but yeah, part of what spurred my photography hobby was needing to sit down while other people hiked. might as well appreciate the beauty and look at bugs while you're waitin'

Gratitude Journal
I woke up depressed, but I still went to my workout. And I managed to hold a plank for two full minutes while balancing on a Bosu Ball! Very proud of myself, my arms were shaking a lot close to the end but I held out.
Then at home while searching for a pun on my Tumblr under my "literally lol" tag, I, as the tag suggests, literally laughed out loud several times. I didn't find what I was looking for, but I did get a huge mood boost, and that's actually better.
Sadly, I don't know how to link that tag on this post, but I recommend checking it out. It's got the hamster rave video, stupid puns, and other random shit that's made me laugh at one point or another.

But me, I'm still a sunbeam
THIS is a blog of a balanced person (me, right now), so let's capture this moment in my personal history.
These are the workouts I do. No talking, just simple instructions and percentage progress + music that serves the purpose. I've been trying to view workouts more as playtime and tell myself "I get to" rather than "I have to." The toys I have are bosu, bala, mini bands, kettle bells, sliders, stability ball. We're playing, that's all. Not measuring or weighing, just the tiny triumphs of "Oh, when I did this two weeks ago it was much harder."
I went to Nico Vega's comeback show at The Bellwether and got a ticket to their headlining show at The Lodge Room in December. I've used all my ticket perks for 2024 already, plus K.Flay in March. WWWY and The Postal Service next month.
We got a hummingbird feeder for our balcony, and we've started to name them. So far: Murphy (after the balm I must cover my body in to fend off the mosquitos), Quacksley, Mousey, Little Puff and Cherry. We're growing stuff out there, too - grape tomatoes, basil, nasturtiums, pretty succulents.
Read Maggie Smith's "You Could Make This Place Beautiful" and I definitely started out thinking I was going to give it 5 stars but had a lot of mixed feelings about it toward the end.
This is everything I've read so far this year - but a few on that list are DNFs (looking at YOU, Russell Brand). Speaking of that, I'm giving Clare Dederer's "Monsters: A Fan's Dilemma" another chance, but some of it is hard to stomach.
Tumblr media
From Kate Baer's "What Kind of Woman"
I've used ALL my kitchen appliances this month: Air fryer (everything), blender (raspberry lemon smoothie), food processor (pesto, hummus), instant pot (tomato soup, tiktok pasta). This is mostly because I can fit them ALL on my counter at once. Oh, and I made a vanilla cake from scratch. Baking is not my favorite, but I like to challenge myself. And sometimes it's more about not being able to find what I want as ready-made.
Tumblr media
Desmond's teacher told me his gross motor skills are advanced - he finishes projects early, is great at any sport he tries (even ones he invents) ... has he expressed interest in sports? Oh yes, I said, he loves all sports... he just doesn't want to play them with other kids. Maybe we'll give soccer another try. But I prefer to let him play openly - we draw, we build, we plant, we cook, we dance, we make up words (this is harder than it sounds). He asks for playdates with friends so I know he cares very much about them -- I just don't think he wants parameters placed around what he can do with said friends. He has a 2-year-old friend and he loves to just explore Griffith with him. It used to be ME, but he has since requested the presence of said friend. Said friend extracts more joy from sliding down piles of dirt than I do, anyway.
Tumblr media
Desmond has really changed my relationship with food. He is such an adventurous eater. I have a history of disordered eating that's been mostly resolved with meds and years of therapy - but I still had rules, you know? Things I wouldn't keep in the house, ingredients I didn't trust myself with. But Des is such a role model of intuitive eating. He'll try anything, even give it a few good chews before making a decision. Jicama was a recent rejection. I'm trying all kinds of recipes, not just low calorie or veggie-based. He makes me excited to make new meals, and he loves to help, too. We have a dining table and he drinks oat milk and I drink fizzy water and it's just an entirely new experience for me. Tasting and tweaking and using our senses. There's no good and bad. He's allowed to have candy, but he isn't crazy for it. We listen to our bodies. Are we full? Do we want more because it tastes good, or because we're still hungry? Listen.
What else? Getting my last peak hike in might be a challenge, since WEATHER has arrived in SoCal. I feel like the window for hiking in good conditions was a relatively short one this year. Baldy is the closest, but might have to trek down to South OC for Sitton.

Todoroki Shoto
Tumblr media
It’s a little odd to choose a Push, Pull, Legs split instead of an Upper/Lower for half-and-half. However, while Todoroki has a good physique, he isn’t as muscle focused as Midoriya who needs the muscle to control his quirk (it’s a bullshit headcanon of mine that he can only safely use the percent of one-for-all that can be stored/output by his muscle size/quality), or Bakugo who needs strength and mass to endure his quirk’s recoil (yet another BS headcanon). Additionally, he seems like the type who isn’t naturally as studious as Midoriya or as effortlessly smart as Bakugo so he’d need a time efficient split to fit in his school work. Considering the fact he has two quirks to master, one of which he only recently began using, he might allocate more time to quirk training or martial arts. He might do ‘sauna yoga’ (something like bikram/hot yoga) for recovery and benefits as you might be able to imagine (explained below). He also seems to enjoy minimalism in his way of life, and probably does not enjoy working out for fun as Endeavor destroyed any association of training with fun.
Diet: He’s a teenage boy who is very active, his calorie needs would likely be pretty high not to mention insanely great genetics. He also has a quirk that messes with his internal temperature, probably burning calories to keep him warm when he freezes over and burning calories to use as fuel for his fire. Eat well, eat some soba, chips, and candy, but just watch the mirror and the scale and adjust from there. Which leads to: Soba doesn’t have enough protein for meaningful muscle building, add some eggs, meat, or tofu to the side, along with vegetables because zaru soba isn’t typically served with those either.
Recovery: Humans in BNHA as in most anime are of quite a sturdier breed. This is safe to combine with the PE program because it’s designed minimalistic but it could be done as:
Week A: PE style workouts (Mon, Wed, Fri)
Week B: This PPL  (Mon, Wed, Fri)
Never will I suggest heat/cold shock, however, because gyms are usually cold, and I wanted this workout to be a little thematic, he might do sauna yoga in either the school’s or his private sauna/bath house. It’s a workout in itself but it keeps him limber and reduces soreness.
I’m doing ‘named’ days for the BNHA programs because the kids are on a schedule that doesn’t really change. In all seriousness if you are a busy student give Todoroki’s  PPL split a try

A/N: Studying style headcannons
Bakugo is the kind of guy who attends the lesson, picks everything up first time, and does his homework with relative ease. Some people just have that kind of application 'know-how' from lesson to test.
Midoriya gets most of what he needs from lessons but might miss something because he's too focused on making perfect notes, he is able to just retrace back to a point he didn't quite get and just do a little extra reading/tutorial. He only makes test mistakes because he overthinks.
Todoroki is closer to 'naturally above average', he just works hard, like a natural 80% student if he was relaxed towards his studies. His notes are ok, he usually asks his classmates to explain in a more casual manner, and needs to spend more time solving/drilling homework and problems.

Note
Nicky let out a "gah," as he knocked back the last shot. "This is a good night, boys. A good night. Whuddya say, Neil, ready to finally work it downstairs? Shake what your Wymack gave you?"
Neil's face was confused. "Wymack is Kevin's dad," he said, looking over the tray as if assessing how drunk Nicky could possibly be so fast.
"Yea but Wymack's the one who has you on the bosu ball twice a week. That peach doesn't come from genetics, that's for sure."
This entire exchange from It's a Metaphor had me HOWLING. I love your humor.

Well y’all we are in the first week of 2023.
Clinic was closed on Monday but I went to PT yesterday.
It’s like my shoulder knew that I’d be seeing Nancy.
It has started hurting like nobody’s business but she worked on both shoulders.
My room is starting to get messy again so I will tackle that the rest of this week… plus I need to clean the house too.
I started a new schedule on Monday; I’m working on making sure I can get 9 hours of sleep so I can get up at a decent time.
Then I read my Bible for a while (I wanna shoot for an hour so I’m working on that.)
Then by 8 I shoot for being upstairs to get a workout in consisting of 30 minutes on the elliptical, 5 minutes balancing on the exercise ball, 5 minutes balancing on the Bosu ball (which I’m getting really good at), the 2 10 minute sets on the vibration platform that dad bought me.
After I come down and make breakfast, usually a bagel and an egg frittata. Then I enjoy a cup of coffee.
At 9:30 mom helps me stretch. That seems to really help my spasticity.
Also, I’m walking and doing some exercises every hour… I WILL ditch my walker if it’s the last thing I do.
I’m also working on my adulting, I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.
Thanks for reading my update. I’ll see y’all next Wednesday!
After my bedtime prayer on New Year’s Eve, the Holy Spirit gave me my word for 2023, Patience. Lord knows I need all the help with that one because I have so much I want to accomplish and obtain this year. So here’s to patience and trusting God’s timing!!
