I predict Jenna and Neve are going to drop the movie. You think Neve being lowballed was the least of their worries? Neve was supporting the strikes and if her co-worker was fired for a righteous cause, yeah she's gone and if Jenna has been pro-Palestine and her on-screen sister was fired? Yeah she's gone. Melissa Barrera as recent as 3 hours ago has continued to spread awareness about Palestine despite being fired from jobs and seemingly blacklisted. she stands on morals regardless of attempts to silence her. hi friends! a reminder that when and if scream 7 is made boycott the fuck out of it! paramount and spyglass (you can read abt it here and here) have made the fucked up collective choice to quietly fire melissa barrera as the lead character sam carpenter for her support of palestine on social media and citing that she is lying abt the conditions in palestine and giving unfounded claims of anti-semitism for her firing! there is literally nothing online of such statements and it is clear they are trying to blacklist her. she was also quietly replaced by a white woman in the new cloverfield movie that comes out next year. the director of scream 7 made a very half assed statement saying it was not his choice but he didn't want shit for it so yeah at the moment none of the cast members have made any statements but please boycott scream 7 and support melissa in her future projects! as a major fan of the scream franchise this was not only disappointing to read about but infuriating!

All I have to say is that I'm disappointed in Neve.

Good for her for getting her money...but her desire only came true because of the very reprehensible firing of Melissa.

I don't know. I think supporting a lot of innocent people right now is more important than playing a part in damage control for a movie. I don't know anything about Neve's financial situation, but I think it's safe to say she wouldn't have ended up destitute had she turned the movie down.
