And how they must be intentional. Because GMMTV has probably made those slippers to be able to sell in connection to the show. So they've deliberately designed them with the band aids.

The car (Mhok) and the goldfish (Day) each has a symbol of damage, and also of protecting and healing that damage: Both Mhok and Day are in need of healing, and they will be each other's. This might seem obvious already but I needed to say it.

I wonder if we'll eventually see that band aid on the car coming off, with Mhok finally fixing it and moving on from the guilt and memory of his sister's death...

Breakdown of the OUAW polycule:

Gricko and Frost: two middle-aged gays raising their adopted daughter(Hootsie) who they send to a critically acclaimed private school. She won the school talent show by performing a ukulele cover of Welcome to the Black Parade.

Kremy and Gideon: a couple of swingers except Gid is the only one who swings, Kremy uses him as bait to recruit people for his pyramid schemes(he's on the top of the pyramid (of course)) and he only gets jealous a little bit. Their daughter(Twig) is the neighborhood menace and has eaten dirt on multiple occasions.

and of course:

Torbek: the shelter dog that Gideon wanted but once they got him he got attached to Kremy and became "his" dog instead.
