🦑🦇Sharing my BramCraft headcanons bc they make me ill🦇🦑

They first met way before Bram got chopped in half, so theyve known each other for centuries

They met kinda like how mermaid aus happen. Lovecraft was snoozing underwater when one day one of the fishermen living on Bram’s fief caught him

I have a hc that Lovecraft has a multitude of sizes for his monster form so he can stay relatively hidden under rocks and such as to not be disturbed, so when the fisherman caught him, he was kinda just this mass of weird green tentacles that fit in the palm of this guy’s hand

Lovecraft was actually still sleeping when he was caught, so he didn’t wake up and kill everyone on the boat

This weird sea creature was brought to Bram for inspection, who was pretty much able to see right through what Lovecraft was

In order to protect the people of his fief, Bram told them he’d handle it and brought Lovecraft to the shore by himself and awoke him

When Lovecraft woke up, he didn’t feel like attacking this random guy and just wanted to go back to sea, so the two of them made a truce

…and then Lovecraft realized he was on a completely different continent than the one he called home, which meant he had to swim all the way back

That was what they both thought would be the last time they’d ever see each other, but they’d be wrong

Several hundred years later, Lovecraft (somehow) ended up near Bram’s fief by accident once again

This time, though, he ended up accidentally protecting the fief. He was probably just strolling through the woods and was in a bad mood & some random attackers pissed him off or smth

Bram found him, and they both just kinda stared at one another. Like “holy shit how is this guy from hundreds of years ago still alive”

Bram invited Lovecraft to his manor as an honored guest bc not only did Lovecraft protect the land, but also their truce from all those years ago was still holding up

This was probably around a time of war for Bram’s land too tbh

Bram’s people were confused abt why their lord brought in this random homeless guy, especially in hard times for them, but he assured them that they could trust Lovecraft

They didn’t question each other’s immortality. They simply felt a connection between the two of them- they were similar, and that was all they needed to know

Alas war was still going on, but the two of them SWEPT the battlefield together (they just want to live in peace)

When witnessing each other in combat and each others’ abilities (well not so much as an ability for Lovecraft but ykwim), they both just thought “ahh. that makes sense”

Bram’s country won the war with these two powerhouses! Hip Hip Hooray!

Around this era was probably the peak of BramCraft. They understood each other and never pushed the other for information. They both simply wanted peace and quiet, and living together in a manor no longer engaged in war allowed that

Lovecraft, who was previously simply a guest in Bram’s land because of their silly truce and somewhat a weapon for the war, was now no longer sleeping in the guest bedroom (he was seeing what the hype of human life was all about) and was very close to Bram

The people of Bram’s land never saw much of Lovecraft, who always stayed inside the manor, but Bram was quite social with the commonfolk

Bram still behaved like a lord and knew they weren’t on his level, but he was engaged in their lives and the harvests and such

He probably used them in war by turning them to vampires to fight against the enemy before turning them back, so he kind of felt he had an obligation to treat them well as thanks

Of course, all good things must come to an end, as this was just a temporary era of theirs

They both knew this wouldn’t last forever (despite both being immortal/being able to live forever). Sooner or later, SOMETHING would force them apart, so they agreed to say their goodbyes before that could happen

Before going their separate ways, though, Bram took Lovecraft on a long tour of the entire fief

Lovecraft ended up growing a fascination with the peasants, especially the farmers and their crops as well as having a slight distaste for fishermen (this would also become the reason why he and Steinbeck become close friends)

They say their goodbyes, and the golden era of BramCraft comes to an end 💔

Things just kinda spiral downward from there, especially for Bram (curses, Fukuchi) (i also just rlly wanna know what happened with the girl that looks like Aya)

And now, Lovecraft is probably sleeping at the bottom of the ocean once more, and Bram keeps complaining about wanting to sleep in his coffin

Anyways

Mushiango: 7. Which one is the worse driver

It's Mushitaro. I'm not saying he can't drive, but I would like to point out that between him and Ango, one of them has the ability to erase their traffic violations, and the other we have canonically see driving with no problems, therefor I'll let you do the math on this one.

Atsulucy: 9. Which one swears more

See you think I'd say Lucy no questions asked, but honestly I think it's a tie. Lucy tries to avoid cussing in her work environment, meanwhile Atsushi's probably encouraged in his work environment, so in the end I think it balances out.

Lemon Futon: 4.What they do on date night

Hm... I think they either switch it up so each person gets a turn deciding for each date night (Kajii usually drags Katai out places like dinner or the opera, Katai usually decides on movies they can watch or food to order in) and/or date night becomes cuddle nights.

14. What nicknames they call each other

Bean Bag immediately came to mind as something Kajii calls Katai so I'm absorbing that into my personal canon. Kajii probably has sooo many nicknames for Katai, honestly, the most I get from Katai is a sweet petname or two. Darling, love, etc etc. Kajii swoons over-dramatically every time and Katai regrets it every time (but, well, not really).

Kunichuu: 6. How they decorated their bedroom

Kunikida was insistent their room be practical and efficient and neutral, they could always change things up later in life when they were more certain of what they wanted and not just two 19 year olds getting their first space. And while the organization and well-keptness of the room remains...

Well. Chuuya found a cheap pack of those glow-in-the-dark star stickers, and while they started as a joke to see how long it'd take Kunikida to find each one (not just on the ceiling, hidden in corners or just behind furniture) they've both grown fond of them, now.

Bramcraft: 2. What their love letters look like

Not sue about canon/post-canon (especially with. Y'know) but pre-canon? Bram writes The most dramatic, flower, purple prose cursive you've seen in your Life. His letters are essentially poetry, endless and going on and on and calling Lovecraft all sorts of wonderful and beautiful things, never less than two or three pages.

Lovecraft's are cryptic, short, and written in ink. They are always mildly damp, smell like either saltwater or fish, and to most sound more like indecipherable scrawlings than notes of love. But Bram understands them, and treasures each and every one.

Fukumori: 15. What they would change about each other

Oh boy. Okay, so

The thing about Fukumori is they both love this city, both believe in a greater good for this city, and both know this about the other. They just wish the other would agree with their way of going about it.

Fukuzawa thinks Mori's actions are too cruel, too bloody, and in the end that the Port Mafia is not what this city needs. Mori believes the Armed Detective Agency is too ineffective to save the city from true threats, in the end, believes them too soft and that, in the end, Fukuzawa will go with his heart and not his mind.

It's a shame, really, both of them think. Their mutual love for this city, their recognition of one another's dark pasts and bloody hands, are part of what draw them to each other. Yet their different way of handling these are what will inevitably drive them apart.

What made you ship it?

first their interactions (i love that kinda dynamic, i don't think it's a surprise at that point). then there came the "at least for 5 minutes" moment and i was hooked. like, putting the thing you value the most aside for your partner, if that's not caring i dunno what is.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

tetcho knowing jono more than anyone, including their fucking captain has me so unwell... mostly when we had seen him like "tone it down you're scaring the civilians" then BOOM. and when jono is, in general, the most perceptive out of the two (i mean, basically super senses, but y'know). for all the bickering and silly moments they do sure trust and value each other a lot and *screms* i need them to reunite. i know it's gonna happen, but pls, i need to see it.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

it's not strictly about the ship but... idk, i don't like takes of tetcho being super dumb to the point of forgetting key things in a relationship/about jono?

What made you ship it?

ofc it was the perfect crime arc (i say, as if all 3 had interacted in any other arc). like, ranpo was the one mainly interacting with mushi directly but,,, the book,,, and i already liked ranpoe, so it was "what if the 3 of them smooched".

What are your favorite things about the ship?

both ranpo and poe know the whole story with yokomizo, which is very tasty in "making mushi come out of his shell and heal" ways (besides, the fact they're a detective and a writer mhmmmmm).

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

nothing i think? only that it's so underrated.

tachihigugin: ship it

What made you ship it?

i like tachigin and i like higugin, so the possibility of me considering an ot3 was there and it happened.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

they all have their stuff (i say, as if everyone in bsd didn't), and they all know what's like to be in the mafia so... with time and working stuff out, there's room for very cute stuff and a pretty chill relationship.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

i like it, but mostly default to "gin has two hands"/i don't really ship tachi and higuchi separatedly.

steincraft: ship it

What made you ship it?

i know we don't see the full guild together much, but them being paired up through all the arc, with all the room that gives for them to bond.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

dunno, the idea of steinbeck being totally unphased/actually into the eldritch stuff when knowing what lovecraft is it's very tasty. not surprisingly, when he grows vines from his veins, but you get me.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

i'm not super big on it (like with bramcraft, for example), but i like it. so none, really.

Do you have some bramcraft or steinbramcraft headcanons?

First of all, I am genuinely so sorry that I am answering to this only now! I found your ask late in my ask box, I was extremely busy with school, I was lacking headcanons, had no time to post anything on any platform, etc. I am genuinely super sorry.

Secondly, I'm so glad that you're asking anon!! I do have quite a bunch of headcanons for both ships (more for Bramcraft than for Steinbramcraft but okay) but I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in them!

This post is only about Bramcraft but I will probably make one about Steinbramcraft too.

Bram and Lovecraft met during the medival era by coincidence at night on the shore

Bram had been strolling along the shore after a hunting trip with his vampires and Lovecraft had swam up to the surface for the first time since years for some reason and they spotted each other

Bram got quite spooked when he saw a slightly off looking and very tall person suddenly breaking through the surface of the sea

They eventually started a conversation since Lovecraft asked him what year it was right after they started at each other for quite some time as well as after Lovecraft stretched a bit and also since Bram couldn't resist asking Lovecraft who or what he was

One conversation turned into multiple conversations and eventually they've developed feelings for each other (Bram was a lot more aware of them since he had been a human once and due to this was more familiar with human feelings and behaviors) but it took them literal years until they got together since both are utterly dense and can't handle emotions that well/don't understand them very good

They often spend time together by just sleeping (literally sleeping) together at the most random places

Bram was tall but Lovecraft was still a lot taller than the vampire

Usually they would meet up during the night on the shore but when the weather was bad, Lovecraft would come to Bram's castle where the latter lived with his vampires because Bram didn't really like being outside for long while it was cold and rainy

Lovecraft on the other hand, didn't particularly mind the weather but he wanted his partner to be comfortable

At first Bram called Lovecraft, Lovecraft but after a while he started calling him Howard

Bram is one of the very few persons who actually know Lovecraft's first name and who's allowed to call him by his very first name

Bram has a very thick Irish accent which gets thicker when he's ranting, angry, stressed or very emotional and Lovecraft thinks it's adorable

Bram would always be super careful when they kissed or when they were making-out (which happened kinda rarely) because of his sharp fangs and his long and sharp claws, not wanting to hurt the other

Lovecraft on the other hand was always careful when he hugged or just generally touched Bram because even if Bram was the immortal and feared King of the undead, his body still felt nearly as fragile as the one of a human for Lovecraft and since he was aware of his own immense strength, Lovecraft would always be super careful with Bram

They would spend whole nights talking about deep and heavy topics with each other while Bram sipped blood out of a fancy glass while on other nights they just went to bed and slept for hours

Bram being super sarcastic sometimes and Lovecraft not understanding, causing Bram to laugh it is a thing

When Lovecraft went to the vampire castle the first time without telling Bram about it, the vampires tried to attack him, thinking he was an intruder but Bram who noticed the fuss in the courtyard went outside and stopped them, telling them that this man was a close friend and that had to treat him like a noble guest

He even forbid to even just touch Lovecraft in any way

Since then the vampires treat Lovecraft with a similar respect like how they treat their king

Lovecraft is kind of possessive of what's his (to this counts his home, his "territory" underwater but also Bram) and would kill when someone dared to try to take it away from him so when Bram got kind of badly injured by vampire hunters once he nearly went to burn the whole town down

Them dancing together in the big empty ballroom of the vampire castle but while Bram is leading and dancing incredibly elegantly, seemingly floating across the floor, Lovecraft is clumsily following and often trips because he is still not completely used to his human body, is a thing too

Bram thinks is adorable and amusing

He always tries to hold in his laughter then but often he can't hold back an amused and soft smile

Sometimes they lie together in the sand on the shore or sit on the rooftop of the castle house and watch the night sky

They only exchange some sentences then once a while. Mostly they are just lying or sitting there, enjoying each other's presence

Sometimes they just sat there next to each other but sometimes they would hold hands or Bram would lie his head against Lovecraft's shoulder as he was getting more and more tired

Bram never forced Lovecraft to attend to any formal vampire events and they kept their relationship a secret. Even from Bram's closest relatives

Bram himself would often sneak out of the ballroom during festivities, even though he was the king of the undead and should be attending at whatever celebration was going on, and went down to the shore where Lovecraft was already waiting for him

Large celebrations always tired him endlessly and he preferred to spend the night with his close friend anyways

Bram can't swim at all (like the most people who lived during the medival era) so when Lovecraft once dragged him with him into the water just for the sake of it, he did get scared for a second and screamed out of reflex before his head went underwater despite being immortal, so when they resurfaced again and when he felt that Lovecraft was steadily holding him over the surface, keeping him from drowning he proceeded to yell at Lovecraft after getting the water out of his eyes

Lovecraft didn't even tried to stay serious and burst out laughing

They sometimes sit together in Bram's chamber and read while the fire in the fireplace in crackling and creates an incredibly calm and domestic atmosphere

Bram and Lovecraft both were a bit more energetic and Bram felt more emotions before the invasion happened during which he got sliced in half and got taken away like a trophy

Lovecraft had been sleeping underwater while it happened and after he woke up, swam up to the surface and realized what happened, he did destroy what was left of the town in his sheer rage and pain but it was too late

He did search for Bram for years and when he found him centuries later, he was in the hands of Fukuichi

At first he wanted to save him but soon enough he realized that Fukuichi would most likely use Bram against Lovecraft since Bram was under complete control of him and it be would horrible and most likely hurt Bram even more so Lovecraft couldn't do anything

Despite this, he decided to stay close to Bram and always kept close to wherever Bram and Fukuichi went, waiting for a moment where he could get Bram out of Fukuichis hands

Bram often finds himself thinking or dreaming about Lovecraft

Sometimes he dreams about long, messy black hair, the smell of the sea but which surprisingly it lacked the unpleasant strong smell of fish and the smell of old books like which Lovecraft always smelled for some reason, tired black eyes and cold yet not unpleasantly cold hands as well as about the shore and his castle

Sometimes he thinks about how Lovecraft's hair felt and how his cold lips felt against his but he always quickly snaps himself out of it

On some days he can't even escape him in his sleep.

Bram usually tried to sleep everything off. He can't really do anything besides sleeping or lying awake thinking in that coffin anyways but sometimes Lovecraft also appears in his dreams

Lovecraft has some memories of Bram's real smile or of him smiling sheepishly. He saw it some times when Bram was truly happy or a bit embarrassed.

Seeing Bram smiling was a rare thing because just like Lovecraft, he wasn't smiling very often so it was always a special thing but it also always looked weirdly adorable in Lovecraft's opinion.

When Bram smiled widely, his fangs would poke out and Lovecraft loved seeing him smile. Now he cherishes those memories greatly. They are one of the very few things he has left of the other.

Bram would sometimes play the piano for Lovecraft back in the castle

Bram was the one who thought Lovecraft how to write properly

Bram loved roaming through Lovecraft's long and messy hair with his own hands

Lovecraft loved listening to Bram and loved watching him

He'd be lying if he didn't admire Bram and fell for him even more when he saw him commanding/ruling over his kins, standing on top of the staircase with his long black coat, his long soft white hair and piercing red eyes which seemingly could notice everything

Lovecraft once took care of Bram while he was recovering from an attack of vampire hunters and was even more protective of him during that time

The recommend books to each other

Lovecraft is boiling with rage which is aimed towards Fukuichi and he's wanting the moment where he can free Bram and face Fukuichi to arrive oh so bad

Lovecraft gifted Bram small or a bit bigger treasures which he found underwater and Bram cherished them greatly as well as kept each of them in a box which he protected greatly

To those treasures also counted extremely old books, jewels and other things he found underwater as well and he also gifted him an antique and elegant ring once.

It was the only thing which Bram didn't put in his box. He always kept it on his finger.

Many vampires admired the old ring greatly and wondered from where Bram got such a rare treasure but he never told them.

"Were you that worried about me, dear Howard?" The count chuckles, leaning his head against the other man's shoulder. "I assure you, doing such a thing is foolish." "Of course it is," Lovecraft murmurs, "but I do it all the same."

Tachigawa: (ADA Tachihara edition!)

"You're utterly hopeless," Akutagawa hisses, and the damned Agency member laughs at him. "Maybe I am-" Tachihara grins down- "but as long as we have this alliance between our groups, we might as well make the most of it, right?" Akutagawa scowls, crossing his arms. "Had I not promised the weretiger not to kill you, you would be dead where you stand." "But you did, and here we are." He swings an arm around his shoulders. "So- how does the Port Mafia's fearsome hellhound spend his day off?" Internally, he decides that Gin cannot know about this.

Nikonathan:

"We're going to hell, and it's your fault!" Nathaniel shouts, grasping at the cross as if such a thing could save him now. Nikolai, of course, laughs, arms spread in an almost joy. "As if we weren't going there already, reverend!" "Repentance was always an option-" he grabs the clown and snarls in his face- "but now, now-" Nikolai's returned grasp is gentle on his face, a soft caress that startles him more than the violence they've been surrounded by. "Now, reverend, we are free."

Lemon Futon:

Kajii cannot help but laugh, even if it makes his ribs hurt. "Well! That was a complete and utter disaster!" There's shuffling behind him, and a blurry shape- ah, Katai, of course- looks down at him with a sigh. "Oh, I told you that would happen," he laments, voice ringing slightly. "Are you happy with yourself?" "Mostly, yes!" Kajii chirps. "Though, I might feel be more happy with myself if you'd kiss it better-" Katai splutters, and smacks him with a pillow.

Shiburan:

"What is this?" Shibusawa can't help but to whisper, but to stare in shock at the man in front of him. The man who was supposed to be fighting his own hyperintelligence now, who was supposed to be begging for his life against his own ability, suffocating in the fog- -except the fog dispersed, leaving him sitting in his chair just the same as before, legs still casually crossed and grin still smug. "Oh, isn't it obvious?" Ranpo Edogawa asks with a laugh, sticking out his tongue- and Shibusawa finds himself stepping back. "I tricked you!"

What made you ship it?

lee-apolla's fanarts & gushing with a bestie (hi mune) about how cool of a concept it was/is did made me fall so hard and so quick. not kidding, i'm pretty sure it's the bsd ship that has grabbed me by the throat the fastest.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

sleepy non-human husbands!!! they may not have met in canon (that we know of), but pls, they're both "monsters" and mostly want to be left alone to sleep. there's no way the wouldn't get along, plus you can make it to be so they've known each other for centuries and,,, that's it, it's so cute (and has very tasty stuff on the kinky side, even if i'm here for the fluff almost entirely).

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

this is one of the rarest bsd rarepairs, so not much appart from the fact that i ship them, i guess?

fukumori: ship it

What made you ship it?

the tension alksdjf. i mean, we knew about the ada/pm situationship, and knowing their bosses are like that and have history already had me intrigued watching the anime. then the manga happenned, and i was like "omg broke up over custody of child", which led me to "i want them back idk".

What are your favorite things about the ship?

i like enemies/rivals/annoyances to lovers, so ofc i was gonna get interested + with them there's the chance of "were together, separated, might get back" (which is the route i always take alksdf). i like how they don't always see eye to eye and there's unsolvable differences either, but both respect each other and will work together for the sake of the city.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

i don't get ppl who act like mori's terrible and fukuzawa's a saint when... fukuzawa used to be a hitman. or when it's mori vs fukuchi shipping wars, when to quite some extents, both characters/ships are pretty similar. with what we know now, it makes more sense "objectively" not liking none than loving one and hating the other? (i know these things aren't always objective, but you get me).
