- Droplet is picking burrs from her pelt. - Branchtail is feeling unappreciated... and Shinespark isn't paying attention to the lesson (again). - Flyspeck saw a couple humans near camp today. - Skipstone finds a loner left behind by her colony. The only explanation she has is that she is sick... perhaps she was too much of a burden? Skipstone offers her a place in their colony, at least until they're better. <Fidgetfoot joins the colony!>

I'm not exactly sure how I want to do all this, so it'll be a bit of an experiment for me, but I'm having fun and that's what matters :) We have introductions for everyone here, and I'll start the proper little story I have in mind with the next moon, since this is mostly introductions. They uh, they might not all be as "finished" as this one? Like I said, experimenting, and I want this to be something I look forward to working on instead of dread.

I might also try and do some sort of refs before I work on the next moon? Or I might work on them in between moon.. We'll see. You can see my proof of concept drawing of Droplet in the meantime, though!

Wanted to draw the babies ;w;

Treekit and Redkit are twins of Twig and Fin sometimes hard to tell apart, especially when they were kits. The both take after their mom more than their dad. Redkit is a trans tom. They both have heart shapes (Treekit on her chest, Redkit on his back) and Treekit has a bit of a tree looking marking on her back. Treekit is a scottish fold like her mom (I am no good at scottish fold ears please forgive me). They're both pretty quiet, but compared to Treekit, Redkit could be called chatty. He's shy, but when he's with friends and family, he won't stop talking. Treekit grows up to be Treebark (Kind of odd name name but she fits with Snappaw, Flypaw, and Spotpaw, plus it was Bramblestar so) and of course Redkit's name is Redfeather.

Needlekit, Branchkit, and Featherkit are all Tree and Violet's kits. Needlekit is rambunctious, loud, and carefree, a lot like the cat she was named after. Though she has an aloof attitude, she is fiercely loyal to her family and her Clan. Branchkit is quieter than his sister and is a big momma's boy. He likes staying in camp and is interested in his father's life as a mediator. Featherkit is a bit hard to figure out. She's quiet, but can be loud when she wants to be, though it's not common. She's got a small group of friends, including Quailpaw, Nectarpaw, and Fringepaw. She's nonbinary. They grow up to be Needlestrike, Branchtail, and Feathershade.

Explanations for each doodle below the cut :)

Top left is Pepperlegs (Peppino) and Ratnose (Gustavo) just having a cuddle! In Ratnose's eyes their relationship doesn't really have a title outside of being "partners" in some vague sense. Pepperlegs is in love and is incredibly worrisome over him.

Middle left is just the good ol scream. Gotta have it.

Bottom left is Bullheart (Vigilante) and Pepperlegs, probably after Pepper fights Loudleap (The Noise) and gets decently roughed up. I imagine Bullheart is a Hollyleaf type where he upholds the code pretty strictly, and is thus the most gentle/merciful to Pepperlegs. This becomes a bit of a friendship after their fight!

Top right is Pepperlegs and Pepperfoot (fake Peppino). I dunno if it was obvious in the reference post, but Pepperfoot is a dog who thinks he's a cat.

Bottom right is Branchtail (Mr. Stick) and Crustears (Pizzahead). My friend pointed out their designs were similar so they're cousins in this AU. Branchtail doesn't like him.

There’s Scorchstar, who has far to much faith in her clan. Scarpelt, who’s tried to retire from being deputy twice. Mintwhisker, who definitely didn’t break her vows of celibacy. Ridgesight, Scarpelt’s awful mate. And Pigeonblotch, Scarpelt’s younger sister and cool aunt to the clan.

Then Robinstripe, chronic protagonist. Dapplepelt, struggling to live under the shadow of his mother Scorchstar. Faddedstorm, the awful daughter of Scarpelt and Ridgesight. Lynxmoon, who definitely bears no resemblance to Mintwhisker what the hell are you suggesting. And Branchkit (by the time I finished this actually Branchtail, the new medicine cat), perpetually haunted by her dead brother Flaxkit and Starclan’s own Shardclaw.

The Cats of WindClan: Volespring

Name: Volespring

Meaning: Brown Furred and Abrupt

Identity: Cisgender Tom - He/Him

Former Rank(s): Tunneler

A dusky brown tom with short fur, short whiskers and a long tail. Yellow eyed and short-whiskered, Volespring used to be a Tunneler but switched to being a Runner. It’s considered a shame as he was becoming quite good at memorizing the pathways but everyone understood why he swapped ranks.

Volepaw and his brother attempted to retreat into the tunnels during the WindClan Massacre - in their panic, they ran into an unfinished tunnel that had a dead end. Volespring watched his brother get dragged screaming from the den and when he fought off his own attacker, later saw Brownpaw dead in the center of the camp. Terrified and angered, Volepaw tried to avenge his brother and ended up being  rescued by his sire who died defending him from Brokenstar himself.

Volespring was made a warrior on the first night after WindClan was driven out, having been caught leaping onto the backs of their enemies. He has a fierce hatred for Brokenstar and a disdain for ShadowClan for allowing him to remain their leader for so long after. 

When WindClan returned to the moor, he nearly had a panic attack trying to go into a tunnel. He swapped to being a runner the next day and though he’s struggling to adapt, he feels like he made the best decision and that he’d likely never feel safe in the tunnels again.

Finding out that ThunderClan warriors Fireheart and Graystripe had buried his brother when they came across the camp fills him with joy and relief - he can never thank them enough for helping his brother’s body reach peace.

-- This would work in a world where Blossom was a medicine cat as well as one where she’s a warrior. It’s hard for me to imagine her as a warrior honestly. But I imagine when it was revealed their med cat was having kits Briarstar would try and throw the pair out only for ShadowClan to rally because Blossomfeather, understandably, is really freaking popular. 

-- In a world where Blossomfeather is a warrior, the male warriors would corner and beat up Owlwhisker out of jealousy. 

-- The kits names are: Jayheart, Wrenwing, Berryheart, Thriftclaw. 

-- Jayheart is the smart one and both of his parents are incredibly proud of him. 

-- Wrenwing would become Wrenstar despite being the most soft spoken of the siblings. The leader after Briarstar (who’s killed by Thriftclaw after he gets sick of her pushing their family around) makes Wrenwing the deputy because he wants to show trust for the weird family, kind of like what Onestar did with making Harestar deputy. 

-- Blossomfeather dies the same way but with kits Owlwhisker has a reason to live without her. Who doesn’t take it well? THRIFTCLAW. Thriftclaw loses his mind after his mother is killed by Branchtail. During a battle with WindClan later when Branchtail is back on the battlefield, Thriftclaw lures Branchtail away and kills her in a rage. 

--Berryleap is a precious bean. That’s all. She’s a good girl who loves her Daddy and is stuck to his side most of the time. She’s very sweet and a lot of toms like her but she’s just focused on being a good warrior for now.

-- Wrenwing briefly has a fling with a WindClan cat. They acknowledge it can’t work even though the tom offers to join ShadowClan for her.

-- Wrenstar tries to make her father deputy but he turns her down because he thinks he’s too old. So she makes her brother Jayheart deputy.
