self indulgent near-future in which when christopher graduates high school buck n eddie take hiim to hawaii to celebrate and they all have a nice vacation over here. friend n i were brainrotting it a bit and we decided buck definitely hyperfixated on hawaii and stuff (history, nature, geography, mythology, etc)

(wink wink. bucks ring. wink)#i shouldve made buck more sunburned #idk if people even read tags this far but anyways more little details #also idk smth smth buck wearing yellow eddie wearing blue n chris wearing green (although not exactly) bc theyre a weird blended family #the brand of shirts the 3 of them r wearing is called sig zane and its a local (fancy) aloha wear brand here! its based in hilo!!#my local friend who's from big island brought it up to me and i remembered it existed #i see people wear sig zane all the time here on oahu but i am so shit at remembering names. that is extended to clothing brands LMFAO #what i mean by fancy aloha wear i mean these fucking shirts cost upwards of $130-145 EACH.#and they are fucking BEAUTIFUL.#i did take some liberties with the designs for the 3 of them tho #buck and christopher's are almost directly referencing existing designs from their catalogue while i smplified one for eddie's #christopher's is an ulu (breadfruit) pattern and i kinda ate that ngl #i was originally gonna just use some stamp brushes i found on the csp asset store but they looked so tacky i just decided to draw them LOL #anyways enjoy this self indulgent stupid stuff who cares anymore

ironically i love thrifting but ive never thought about using ebay, do you have any tips or keywords you use on it to find deals and shifty stuff/wording to look out for?

honestly I don't find ebay to be shifty for buying stuff! people are scared about using it sometimes and I think it's a little funny lol I guess the tip would be that if you search for an item with vague enough terms, you'll get some SHEIN-esque mass produced clothes muddying the results. and you know it when you see it, because those listings look like shit btw. this type of thing:

like, these are real listings and everything, and you'd get the product, but they are obviously not what you're looking for. you can ignore these, but if you want to filter them out, you can just narrow the search to SPECIFICALLY pre-owned items.

There isn't really any wording to look out for-- the only other thing would just be to make sure the stuff you get can be returned, bc sellers can specify whether or not they'll take the items back!

#aside from that you can search by brand if you're looking specifically for like. modcloth dresses #you can look for that! and obviously it lets you sort by size and color and whatever #people post pics of the clothes on a hanger or laying flat on a bed/table or on a mannequin #or they'll reupload the original product photo from the origin website lol and that's fine too. honestly sometimes prefer that.#people really optimize search terms on there so you can be vague or specific it doesn't really matter #I think pre-op I was looking for button up pajama tops. bc they're soft and have fewer buttons. and I looked exclusively for pre-owned #so they'd be cheap lol #ebay is really strict actually and if an item doesn't show up or there's a hole in a shirt or whatever you aren't left in the lurch #and the sellers really really want good ratings #sergle answers #It's a problem though actually bc I really really really like shopping for clothes. but also. I got no money #there's lots of great stuff ppl put on ebay instead of in a physical thrift store

me: hm I keep wanting to build outfits around tank tops and camis but I only have a few right now in just a couple colors and they're pretty worn out, luckily something like a solid-color base layer should be pretty easy to just get a bunch of online

amazon: cool yeah would you like a five pack of the camis you want that go up to what is listed as a 2XL but is still at least two sizes too small, or would you like one Just Perfect For My Special Body brand plus tank top with wide straps and a built in foam bra for the same price
