#henry emily #charlie emily #technically also #the puppet #fnaf fanart #fnaf #making henry go mad with despair and attempt to rebuild charlie as an animatronic was a good idea actually #i just. mmmm. the fnaf games AND novels dont know what an animatronic is and use that interchangeably with robot #and they arent the same #and henry would have been to greif stricken to make a functioning sentient robot me think #hes a pizzeria animatronic engineer #tahts his strong suit #he should have made her #and realized that even with her “back” and “alive” he still can only speak to her by programing her repsonses. shes a puppet #no use of his skills can bring a living person back. and he has to grieve that #i think thats what they were trying to do with the novels? the first one at least #with his death and all #but then they retconned it and hes alive or something idk.#hes a really tragic character in my eyes i just wish they allowed him to exist outside of brief mentions and whatnot

NEVER ANIMATE IN PHOTOSHOP IF YOU CAN HELP IT #i hate it. SO much. oh yeah. the reason why i decided to reread tbhk (and thus it was able to hit me like a truck this time around) was actually not bc of mitsukou going canon but actually bc i maybe accidentally started a tbhk book club w my kids at work and wanted to check the contents of it justttt in case before i put the books in their hands

#tl;dr i have this one 4th grade boy who's a total weeb and knows that i'm the only one in this town who's more into japanese media than him #so he pesters me abt it every time he sees me. and the thing abt this kid is that he gets bored easily and if he does he turns into a #complete menace. now a couple weeks ago. he shows up at the program w one piece volume one and spends the entire time he's there peacefully #reading and not causing any problems on purpose. my coworker owen (the one who climbed onto the roof) and i were shocked and in awe of how #peaceful he was being and came to the conclusion that he NEEDS to have a manga volume in his hands at all times. few minutes later.#he finishes reading and isn't bored yet so he decides to go talk to me abt manga. specifically he starts pestering me abt what shonen i've #read despite the fact that i am a shoujo reader and told him that. but he knows i've read kuroshitsuji bc he previously asked me abt what #the worst anime i've ever watched is and i will never not take an excuse to drag the adaptation. and he figures that if i've read kuro i've #probably read more. and so i mention tbhk and he asks more abt it bc of the name involving toilets and him being a 4th grade boy so i give #brief overview and he wants to read it. and i come up with a scheme to make him peaceful AND to give him something to talk to me abt which #isn't 'i know you've read more shonen manga' 'let me gacha on your phone' or 'i saw an ad for rent a gf. thought it was lame. and now want #you to tell me how it sucks bc i assume you know everything abt every animanga ever' (<does unfortunately know too much abt rent a gf bc i'#a bit of a nosy bastard and watched the mother's basement video). so i offered to bring it in bc i own physicals of the whole series and of #as previously mentioned. gave it a quick reread in advance just in case. and got hit by it. hard. i love you tbhk almost as much as i love #when ppl get into things through me. honestly i think getting to live vicariously through him might be one of the main reasons it got me #this time around and not as much the first time (still loved it the first time though). flash forward a little while. one of the 3rd grade #girls is like. really into reading. and also macabre things. like ghosts. and she has two books from the school library. and has had the #same two books from the school library for over a week. she reads quickly and finished them both in under a day and is now bored out of her #mind rereading them. she asks to read the books i've been letting the other kid read. now there are two of them #romeo.txt

finally watched heartstopper because one of the part time kids from when i worked at the bakery really wanted me to for the longest time and i was feeling sentimental. i don’t think i have ever wished so strongly to have had a piece of media as a teenager + have never felt so much gratitude that kids get to have it now

#‘it’s corny’ is such a lame and wilfully obtuse criticism #charlie and nick are 14 and 15 when it starts!!!! kids that age are more than allowed to be corny!!!!!#as the actors have said it’s an optimistic and idealized in some ways version of reality #but it’s so grounded in reality!!! especially from the viewpoint of the age group of the characters #I also think even in the brief beginning of charlie’s storyline with anorexia and self harm the portrayal is already so much healthier and #safer for a show geared towards an audience who statistically has mental health struggles more often #than 13 reasons why for example #i wish to god that show had never gotten made #also YEAH DUDE it’s so normal for 15 year olds to not drink or do drugs or even know where to get drugs #and to not be ready for sex!!!!!!!!!#also A REALISTIC PORTRAL OF LESBIAN TEENAGERS !!!! THAT IS SO CUTE AND SWEET #anyway im. looking into masters of information programs #thinking about being a librarian just has me emotional about recent censorship and book bans surrounding queer literature #really and truly breaks my heart that heart stopper the graphic novels are on those lists #heartstopper

My mom keeps nagging me to let her read my fantasy wip... Just the prologue starts with a man having his heart cut out of his chest as a sacrifice to a god and him kissing a dude who is doing it to screw up any future life prospects. My mom is a woman in her mid-50s born and raised in rural Bosnia. Not a chance I'm giving her a sentence to read.

#writing stuff #and then the rest of the story is just blood and gore. lies and deceit. betrayal and horrors. desire as violence. twisted divinity #a faithless priestess. a lesbian pirate queen. twins trying to kill each other for the throne. the tragedy set in stone #love was there but it did not change anything. in fact it made everything worse #killing as a love language. gods who don't answer the prayers but that's why the main character does #and he is so so much worse #also it features killing gods but immortality is a terribly complicated concept here #magic system - more like a government conspiracy top secret program #it has greed and grief and sometimes it is the same thing #cruelty and gentleness sitting at the same table #and religion being nothing less than love no matter how terrifying and twisted it is (for the main characters at least)#and ih ruthlessness. even if it kills the love of your life. even if it costs you your humanity #but also so much stubborn hope in human heart #in conclusion magic as an agent of holy but grotesque #and love as wound that can't even bleed #murders and battle scenes obvi #brief imprisonment #metaphors becaue i am influenced by my high school literature teacher #dude's chest cavity filled with rot because it was carved out by his husband's/high emperor's/enemy's hands #hot brilliant librarian #forgiveness!#your hands are covered with blood of my people and you shoulder that crime with too much ease my love so this will take time undoing you #-from my blood but i will have my vengeance!!!!!#sorry i got carried away.#i will go to sleep now #point is my mom can absoluetly not read it. it is for me and my 3 closest friends.
