In this production, the "Jellicles cats come together once a year" line is REALLY true, these Jellicles only come together at the abandoned theme park once a year, every other day they're off at their own homes, mates and kittens together of course, but they rarely interact with/see each other the rest of the time.

Sense u seem to enjoy wings of fire u got any ideas for cats characters designed as dragons? Or ideas on what some of the cats tribe would be?

This is going to be a bit of a long one as I spent probably too long thinking about this, it's almost turned into a whole AU, but here we go.

Munkustrap, Macavity and Tugger would be mudwings. That might seem like an odd choice but I chose this because of a particular story idea I really want to see. Munk, Mac and Tugger would all be in a mudwing sibling group with Macavity as their big wings. But then Macavity turns against everyone. What would happen to a mudwing sibling group if one of them turned evil? Especially the big wings. I just think this would be so interesting.

Alonzo and Gilbert would be icewings. I think they have personalities that work perfectly for the icewing ranking system. Alonzo would be a lower ranked icewing who is insecure and worried about having a low rank. Even thinking about whether he would consider the diamond trial. Gilbert would be the highest ranked icewing with Griddlebone as the queen who he would do anything for. He does almost anything to avoid losing his top rank. Alonzo is envious of him.

Mistoffelees, Victoria, Bustopher, Exotica (her name would be changed but just so everyone knows who I'm talking about), Coricopat and Tantomile would be nightwings. (Its just too perfect for Misto to be a nightwing. The colour scheme alone with the black and stars on the inside of thier wings 😍) Bustopher is a nightwing withought powers and when his nephew and niece's parents died he took their eggs away from the tribe to where Exotica (she has mind reading and vague prophecy visions) is living with her dragonets, Cori and Tanto. Mistoffelees is hatched with mindreading and animus powers, whereas Victoria has mind reading and the gift of prophecy. Cori and Tanto only have mind reading but they have developed it to become really advanced, they can hear thoughts from really far away. I also like the idea of Misto and Vic talking to each other through mind reading, especially around dragons they dont know.

Mungojerrie, Rumpleteazer, Jennyanydots, Jellylorum and Gus would be sandwings. Jenny doing a good job managing her way around the Scorpion Den, while also having to look out for her children, who definitely would be theives and con artists. Just trying not to let their mum see. But it's not like Jenny doesn't know, she just likes to make them think she doesn't know ;) . Jelly could be Jennys close friend who's trying to keep her old father Gus alive despite how difficult things are getting. Maybe M and R try to steal to help them too.

Etcetera, Pouncival and Plato would be rainwings. These guys are mostly happy go lucky and just want to have fun. I think they'd fit in really well with the relaxing low stress life of rainwings. Plus they'd love to change colour when ever they want. But I think Plato might try exploring outside the rainforest. Like one of the very few who's actually curious what's going on out there. Also he would definitely be protective over the little ones. They may not know who their parents are but he'll be their big brother for them.

Skimbleshanks, Cassandra and Tumblebrutus would be skywings. I don't have as much reasoning for these guys as the others. It's mostly just a feeling I get. I think Tumble would be trained up for fighting like in the dragonet play area but when he's older he doesn't really want to fight, especially seeing what happens in the arena. Skimbleshanks I think would use those powerful wings to go on long journeys to scout out other places for the queen but maybe also secretly looking for a better place for Tumble. Cass is hoping to take the throne and stop getting these kids into needless violence and give Skimble the safe place he's looking for. Maybe Tumble is also her son here.

Demeter, Bombalurina and Jemima would be seawings. I love the idea of Demeter leaving and coming back to her sister, who's now the Queen, for protection with her animus dragonet Jemima (probably a hybrid if I want to go with Jem being Macs child).

Thats my ideas right now. I'm not sure what to do with Griz and Deut. I have this idea of Griz being the mudwing Queen and maybe feeling responsible for Mac and running away or something, leaving Deut to take care of the kingdom? Since I have Griddlebone as the icewing Queen. I should probably have Growltiger somewhere but I'm not sure where, maybe she double crossed him and stoll treasurer from him? But I'm not sure what type he should be.

But maybe I'm getting too much into this. It was a fun idea to consider. Thank you ^^

7. Favorite sibling headcanon?: Plato, Pounce and Tumble as brothers, Bomba and Demeter as sisters, Munk, Tugger and Mac as brothers are my perennial faves.

8. Favorite makeup design?: This is a hard one, i love so many looks. But . . . i am quite fond of Skimbleshanks especially when it's more orange and has lots of tabby lines.

15. Onstage pet peeves?: Hmm. How do i interpret this question . . . i think my biggest one is during the opening of Jellicle Songs For Jellicle Cats when all the performers don't get a line. Every one should get to at least sing one line and then it repeats from the top of the list. I know it's not always possible with larger with larger casts for everyone to get to sing during this section. But US Cats Cast seem to keep getting smaller and smaller and certain characters aren't singing during this section and it's just . . . LET THEM SING!

20. Have you seen Cats live? Where?: I did! and right before the pandemic too so i got some cast interactions as well, which was wonderful! Not answering where for privacy reasons.

Munkustrap and Tugger are blood brothers, sons of Old Deuteronomy; Alonzo is Munkustrap’s best friend and honorary brother, and Mistofelees is the same for Tugger.  Alonzo tends to watch the other kittens along with the Head Queens if Munkustrap is busy.

Macavity is Grizabella’s son by Deuteronomy (though nobody in the tribe but Deut knows of this connection at present).  Munkustrap and Tugger are her blood nephews, adopted along with a few other abandoned kittens by her at the time.  When Grizabella left, Jennyanydots took over their care.

Demeter’s best friend and adopted sister is Bombalurina.  Jemima is (secretly at present) Demeter’s daughter by Macavity.  Plato is (also secretly at present) Bombalurina’s son by Macavity.

Coricopat and Tantomile are blood siblings; Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer present as siblings, but aren’t related (their humans got them together as a hopeful breeding pair of Toyger cats).

Asparagus Jr. is Jellylorum’s son and Gus’s grandson; Jellylorum is Gus’s daughter.  Jellylorum’s last kitten is Etcetera, and Jennyanydots’ is Electra (by Bustopher); they were raised together.  They adopted Pouncival and Tumblebrutus (who are brothers and were abandoned) as their own later.

Skimbleshanks and Jennyanydots are blood siblings.  Both are the tribe’s mother/aunt and uncle figures along with Jellylorum.  Bustopher is an uncle figure to Mistofelees and Victoria, who live next door to each other and grew up together.

Cassandra and Exotica aren’t related, but live together.  The former has recently taken on an older sister sort of role to the latter, who is a little shyer and less outgoing.

George isn’t related to anybody (as far as we know), he wandered in not long before the Jellicle Ball looking for friends, and he’s been welcomed with open arms, as with everyone.

Romantical Things

Munkustrap and Demeter are mates (Quite obviously :3), and are exclusively with each other.  That makes them kinda the odd ones out of the tribe, as cats don’t often have mates for life.

Plato is heavily smitten with Victoria (mutually), though also understands that she likes Mistofelees as well (Plato’s only just discovering that he’s bisexual, so he doesn’t mind in that he finds Misto kinda cute too x3).  Mistofelees also likes Victoria and has always been friends with Plato, so he doesn’t get jealous either.

Cassandra and Alonzo are a couple, and though not exclusively, they are each other’s favorites.

Jennyanydots is smitten with Bustopher, and they seem to have little flings from time to time.

Tugger flirts with anyone he feels like (even toms if he knows they’ll get flustered); more commonly seen with Bombalurina and sometimes Cassandra.

Bombalurina is similar to Tugger, but flipped. x3 More commonly seen with Tugger and Alonzo.

George has a love-from-afar crush on Exotica, and is mustering up the will to talk to her (since these two are most often in stuck in the background, it struck me as cute that they’d bond over being the wallflowers of the tribe x3).

The kittens are all young and only just thinking about who they might like.  Jemima has always liked Tumblebrutus, but also finds Mistofelees cute (as does Electra).  Quite obviously, all the girls have puppy (kitten?)-love crushes on Tugger (except Jemima, who figured out a while ago that he might be her blood uncle), and the young toms all have the same kinda crush on Bombalurina.

Random Cats Ideas/Headcanons

Sorry, this is kinda long and self-indulgent :)

You know how superheroes have pets and sometimes they get spin-offs i.e. Krypto, Ace the Bat-Hound, etc? That’s the Rumpus cat. Which superhero is his owner? The Jellicles don’t care; the cat’s where it’s at.

The kittens adore Gus. They love to perform some of his old plays to him. Victoria knows all of Griddlebone’s lines by heart. Pouncival loves playing a pirate so much he hand made his own costume and constantly adds on to it. Even though Gus has trouble moving, the kittens try to accommodate him so he can play Firefrorefiddle. Gus is touched every time.

Tugger doesn’t flirt with Demeter because he knows about Munkustrap’s feelings for her.

Etcetera and Pouncival are the most energetic/athletic cats in the tribe as well as the most accident-prone.

Coincidentally, Etcetera and Puncival are Asparagus Jr. and Jellylorum’s kids. Asparagus likes to rough-house with them from time to time. Even though she has to reel them in a lot, Jelly likes to sit by and watch her kids play.

Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer were taken in by Macavity when they were kittens due to their thievery skills. Macavity was abusive and Jerrie would protect Teazer from him when he was feeling particularly malicious. They eventually ran away and found the Jellicle tribe. Both were adopted by Skimble and Jenny. While both are afraid of Macavity, they never lost their happy-go-lucky attitudes.

Skimble taught Jerrie about human inventions. Jenny taught Teazer how to sew. 

Jellylorum is the tribe’s equivalent of a school teacher. 

Grizabella is Demeter and Bombalurina’s mother. 

Jerrie and Teazer are surprisingly shrewd. It surprises everyone every time.

With the exception of some kittens, Exotica is the newest member of the tribe, which is why she sticks to the background. The others always include her to remind her she’s welcome, but she just hasn’t quite found her clique in the tribe yet. She’s slowly becoming friends with Bomba and Cassandra, though. 

Everyone was surprised and confused that the aloof Cassandra chose to be with Alonzo, who was always a bit of a flirt. Truth is, she finds it hard to connect with others a lot. So when Alonzo showed up and told her all the ways he thought she was beautiful and amazing, she just couldn’t resist. She’ll never tell that to anyone, though.

Quaxo/Misto and Jemima are Coricopat and Tantomille’s unofficial little brother and sister. Fight them.

Cori and Tanto are training Jemima with her psychic powers.

Funnily enough, Mungojerrie is the more responsible one out of the two. He sees Teazer as the little sister, despite the fact that they’re twins. It’s the same with Tanto in relation to Cori. Both he and Teazer bond over their slightly overprotective siblings and lowkey start crushing on each other.

Jerrie and Tanto didn’t get along at first, but at Teazer and Cori’s insistence, they get to know each other better and start crushing become unlikely friends. 

Tugger is always pestering Misto to add sparkles to his mane. 

Pouncival and Etcetera share, like, three brain cells, and most of the time, Electra has them somehow.

Bustopher belongs to a family of high-class scholars, so he’s the most knowledgeable of human devices/behavior/history in the tribe, Skimbleshanks being a close second. He and Skimble like to gossip over tea about their humans.

Victoria is Albino (Albino cats have notable bright pink skin; Victoria is the only cat in the show with a pink nose and pink in her ears.)

Since Tugger is the little brother, he sometimes feels inferior to Munkustrap. Munk knows this, so he makes sure to try and include Tugger in things i.e. looking after kittens, the Pekes and the Pollicles play, etc. Tugger might be a bit of a narcissist, but he’s an important member of the tribe.

Macavity is the oldest brother, Munkustrap is the middle child, and Tugger is the youngest. Old Deuteronomy had nicknames for them growing up. Macavity was his ‘Sunshine’, Munk was his ‘Moonbeam’, and Tugger was his ‘Starlight’. Old Deut still calls them that sometimes behind closed doors.

While Victoria does talk, she prefers to use visual/physical cues when showing affection i.e. leaning on someone to comfort or show support. Plato swears they have a secret language. 

Victoria has a magic of her own, but it’s not really outwardly like Mistos’, so hardly anyone knows about it. Part of it is her magic flows into her coat and protects her from harmful exposure, which is important due to her albinism.

Spent her kittenhood raising her brother and now kind of has no clue how to make friends. Secretly has a flair for acting and storytelling, and in fact finds herself more at ease while performing than while trying to socialize normally. Is quite charmed by George.

Paw-de-Deux; clever, easygoing, affectionate; Turkish Angora; ballroom dancer; tenor. Brought to the tribe by Skimbleshanks after stowing away. Deaf in one ear; tends to be loud so he can hear himself. Is quite excited to barrel into socialization and not having to be taken care of by his twin sister all the time. Interested in Plato... and Exotica... and Tantomile... and Alonzo and Cassandra...

Jessifer Jules; daring, inquisitive, optimistic; torbie; ballerina; mezzo/soprano. Daughter of Jennyanydots and Bustopher Jones. Not super interested in romance for herself yet, but will gladly orchestrate "Parent Trap"-style hookups for others.

Jabberjam; excitable, distractible, messy; generic long-haired moggie; eclectic dancer; alto/tenor belt. Tried to be the tribe's Freddie Mercury and ended up being its Weird Al instead. Wants to go to the ball just to see if Old Deuteronomy actually exists, because the stories told about him don't exactly sound real. I'll be honest here, they're basically a jokey self-insert. (And, being a self-insert, I'm gonna say "actually pretty aro, but looks to Tugger and Mungojerrie as style icons".)

Alonzo, Bombalurina, and Exotica

Alonzo

He’s Munkustrap’s second in command, and will take over as Protector when Munkustrap becomes the leader.

He has been one of the most crushed-on cats, second only to Tugger. However, he is absolutely in love with Cassandra, though they’re both terrible at showing it. 

Munkustrap is his best friend, and they’ve been best friends since the moment they met. He’s also close with Plato, Tumble, Misto, Cassandra, Bomba, and Demeter. 

The crime twins drive him crazy but if they didn’t they’d probably be some of his closest friends as well.

Exotica hates him.

Alonzo lives full-time in the junkyard, as he doesn’t have a human home.

He was a stray before he came to the junkyard, and is usually very hesitant when other strays get too close to the junkyard. However, if and when Munkustrap allows them in, he looks out for them. He doesn’t want anyone to hurt his home but he also has gone through life on the streets just like them. 

He acts like an older brother figure to Mistoffelees, purely because they look alike. That isn’t to say he doesn’t care about Mistoffelees, because he does, but he just says that to tease the tux.

Misto and Victoria are a sibling package deal, much like most of the other siblings, so Victoria is like a little sister to him as well. Alonzo is fiercely protective of her.

Exotica

She’s Cassandra’s younger sister. She’s either the oldest of the kittens or one of the youngest adults, no one is entirely sure.

She was very expensive and she knows. She is even more aloof than her sister, but still looks up to her sister and tries to emulate her attitude. A second, smaller Cassandra is terrifying to the majority of the tribe.

She’s mostly an indoor cat, and scarcely comes to the junkyard. She doesn’t think she’s too good for the junkyard, she is just rarely let out. 

When she’s at the junkyard, she spends most of her time following Cassandra. When she isn’t with Cassandra, she spends her time with Coricopat, Tantomile, Electra, Plato, and Jellylorum. Quiet, sensible cats. 

She hates Alonzo because he’s in love with her sister. In her mind, no one is good enough for Cassandra. 

Her home is in Victoria Grove, so she’s plenty familiar with the crime twins. She’s even managed to get them to find her nice jewelry, as she was well aware both twins had small temporary crushes on her back in the day. Whenever they pass by her house, she enjoys small talk with them. But she will never, ever, invite those thieves into her home.

Extra/Personality: 

(as a kitten) He is a huge hit with the adults. They all love him a lot because he is just so darn cute and sweet, and he is so well behaved and quiet. He never really causes any trouble, and if he does he apologizes for it right after. (as a teen) He is introverted and quiet because he is a bit insecure, but he is very sweet. He still loves his dads and fluffly blankets more than anything though.

Hestia followed the tradition of her parents by choosing Greek-themed names for her kittens. Katherine is a big fan of Greek Mythology, so Hestia is quite familiar with all the different names. 

Charon:

He definitely takes after his mom in personality. He’s quite shy, and prefers to stick to the cats that he knows, like his parents, sister, and friends. His magic focuses more on energy and lights, and he’s able to make his fur sparkle, and he’s quite good at controlling electricity. 

He absolutely adores both his grandfathers, and really looks up to Mistoffelees, and he actually tends to spend quite a bit of time with Exotica! He likes how calm she is, because he’s always frightened that he’s going to have some kind of outburst and hurt the Jellicles with his magic. 

Hestia chose Charon as his name because, since his magic works with energy, he’s able to see the energy and aura of all beings around him, living and dead. He was able to see Hestia’s siblings the day he was born, and he kept looking in their direction, even though his eyes weren’t open yet. Hestia decided to name him after the ferryman of Hades, and needless to say, her big brother was absolutely honored.

Anthea:

She’s a very bubbly girl, just like her dad! She’s an energetic ball of fluff, and instantly wants to be best friends with just about everyone she meets. Her magic is fueled by her emotions, and it’s more of an illusion-type of magic, where she’s able to turn invisible and throw her voice around without moving. She also has quite a connection to nature.

Like her brother, Anthea adores her grandfathers, and loves spending time with both of them. She’s very close with Coricopat and Tantomiile, as they help her to focus her energy into her magic and control her emotions so that she’s able to disappear and rapper when she wants to, and now just because her emotions get super intense. 

Hestia chose Anthea for her daughter’s name for a single reason. The reason was that she has a flower-shaped mark of fur just below her shoulder, and that was the first thing Hestia saw when she looked at her newborn kitten. After seeing the flower mark, Hestia noticed that a flower had bloomed beside her bed, and she took that as a sign. it wasn’t until Anthea’s magic began to reveal itself that Hestia realized it had been her daughter who created that flower.

Deut is the father of Mac, Munk, and Tugger. (Munk is ten years younger than Mac and three years older than Tugger. They're all half-brothers with different mothers)

Griz was Munk's mother

Jelly was Arbutus's mate, Gus is her father-in-law

Admetus is Gus's grandson by Agatia

Cety is Jelly's niece by her late sister

Cori and Tanto are twins (duh)

Skimble is the adoptive father of Teazer and Quintessence (swing "Calico")

(Teazer's bio parents died when she was six and Quin's bio parents disowned him when he was eleven. Teazer is three years older than Quin)

Misto is probably Bustopher's nephew but they have no definitive proof (neither cares about proof)

Tumblebrutus and Pouncival are brothers (T-brutus is three years older than Pounce)

(Swings) Noilly Prat and Olivia are twins and have "adopted" Gilbert as their brother (he's one year younger than them)

Exotica is the older cousin of Murad (swing)

Skylie (swing "Tabbygirl") and Delta (swing "NBQ") are sisters (maybe twins?) and may or may not be Gus's granddaughters by Abraxas (They don't know who their father is)

Spike (swing) also may or may not be the son of Abraxas (he also doesn't know who his dad is but has a different mum than Tabby and NBQ)

My Coricopat Headcanons:

He’s Exotica’s son, Tantomile’s twin, and Calliope’s older brother. (@thederpyllamaoflove​)

He and Tantomile didn’t feel right as the gender they were born with, so when they were very young they psychically traded bodies so they could be in their true forms.  As a side effect of this trade, their minds ebb and flow between the two bodies all the time.  He sometimes resents this connection and has always wished to be more independent, but he still loves his sister. (@tantomiles​)

He can speak telepathically with other cats, sometimes in full sentences and sometimes in mere suggestions, and sense their presence up to miles away.  He also has prophetic dreams and can communicate with ghosts.

His first language is the same French Arabic dialect his mother spoke.

Normally he and Tanto have more solidly-colored fur, but their magical connection to the lightning makes the dark stripes in their fur stand out even more when they use their powers. It’s also why their visions are especially strong during storms.

He’s the outside cat of a respect Kabbalist in a poorer part of London and prefers to stay close to him to “protect” him.  And he always leaves him a dead mouse or bird as a present for him to find. (@tantomiles​)

He’s very energetic and extroverted in contrast to Tanto, and he’s always had a very goofy sense of humor.

He’s very close with both his aunt Bombalurina and his stepmom Demeter.  If Demeter’s having a particularly bad day, he’ll come in to check on her constantly and warn any other cats away from startling her.  And he and Bomba love just talking for hours about whatever’s on their minds.

He admires Bustopher Jones a great deal, but he also hates human food, so it’s always a bit of a conundrum when he’s invited to one of the Cat About Town’s clubs.

He’s very good friends with both Skimbleshanks and Jenyanydots, and he sometimes helps Jeny in the healer’s den because of his proficiency with herbs.

He absolutely adores Old Deuteronomy and always feels calmed by his presence.

He loves Munkustrap’s pageants at the Jellicle Ball and always throws himself into his role, no matter who he’s playing.

He and Tanto mentored Mistoffelees and Jemima, helping them hone their powers and learn not to be afraid of their own potential.

He’s something of a perfectionist who will obsessively rehearse a specific dance step until he could do it in his sleep, and he gets anxious if he can’t master something right away.

He sleeps in a semi-elegant sprawl with his legs stuck out at odd angles.

He and Mungojerrie are in a queerplatonic relationship, and they look after a kitten named Milly Moore together. (@vilavixg​)
