Because I'm sick + twisted I've been thinking about Bugza and it kinda hit me with the idea of like. If bugza is an elytrian (not sure if this is your hc but. treat it as a hypothetical here), then what if all the critters in the end, including the ender dragon and the ender king in this case had bug-like features? endermen and the dragon look almost beetle-like and have exoskeletons, endermites are larvae, shulkers are like gastropods.... The ender king being bug-like too, maybe being some godly version of an elytrian is cool to me... If that was the case then the person in this world that closest resembles his own anatomy is Phil. I think he'd fucking HATE THAT.

ik a lot of ppl (me included) give ender beings more of a mammal look but i did not think about them being bug like. like what the hell are endermites anyway, why do they spawn from ender pearls if not being bug egg....

i think ender looking like a sick ass praying mantis would be cool as hell, but also damn the only other bug-like being in this world is this annoying guy who keeps pillaging my kingdom maybe i should do something about that actually (insert theory of hc!phil being ender's sucessor or some shit like that idk lmao)

as for bugza being elytran idk for me he's just bug... if i were to give him some depth i would say he's his own kind?, since we know that hc!phil is just a line of reincarnations then bugza would be the one that goes wrong and instead of bird its bug. BUUUUUT it would be some level of fucked up that he holds some resemblance to ender

That's almost assuredly a STL meant to be printed on a dual filament extruder machine - both of those are supposed to be the same print, the one on the left is just meant to be printed inside the number voids on the one on the right in a different color. If you load the STL in any model viewer you'll just see the two models on top of eachother in the right position, just like you'd have them if you were using the model in a game or 3D app. Dice are super popular for dual extruders and are basically hello world for them.

If you feed one of these to a slicer (converts STL models to actual commands to move the printhead around) that doesn't know it's slicing for a dualhead machine the slicer will go 'oh these models are too close together better space em out' leading to something like this (a d6)

and then the slicer goes 'oh this model is floating in the air. whatever i'll put a support under it because the user is always right' and you get the image in the OP.

Yippee!! A cinnabar moth!

Ok, I'm using this as an excuse to ramble about one of my OCs

So, a while back, I redesigned a bunch of my Hollow Knight OCs to be based off of real bugs and REALLY struggled to find a red and black moth for my character Tryx, who was based on a real red and black moth I rescued from my laundry vent one summer. Then I found the cinnabar moth!

Here's his current design, I'd share his old one but don't have the old ref on my phone.

He also had a human design long before his redesign, but he was also the basis for my character Trixen, who is is own character at this point. If you've lurked around my art tag, you've probably seen him around, but here he is again :]

Some sketches of an OC I made for a friend's minecraft smp- Benni, it/they, it comes with Lore (so so much lore)

There's SO many things I want to draw from the server and adventures that have been had, but I'm still figuring out how I plan to draw certain mobs and also fighting executive dysfunction so. Incoming eventually

Some earlier sketches before I actually had the idea to create Benni and just wanted to fuck around with armor concepts (hence the little notes), and then my detail list to refer to when actually drawing it

My first actual drawing of Benni, still my favorite even though the design in my head has changed a little

First (and only so far) attempt at finding a color scheme, definitely not sticking with this lol, I don't like the pants even though this is the closest I could get to my actual minecraft skin. I also just don't like how the pants look even though they look like the reference 🤣

And then my most recent sketches, trying to figure out exactly how buggy to make them, because it's enderman-adjacent (it's a lengthy explanation. Like I said, Lore), and this is my concept for the endermen. Based vaguely on bullet ants, because I'll also use those as inspiration for my endermite and enderdragon designs

For some reason, despite being a very capable warrior and colonizer adventurer, Benni is perpetually confused in my sketches. I'm still getting the hang of drawing mandibles, and I thought that last enderman looked judgmental so I gave it a thought bubble afsfsgdg
