I feel like people in other states never know someone from North Carolina but a North Carolinian can go to another state and somehow meet a stranger who is also from NC.

Something Doctor Who misses out on is how none of the companions are extremely interested with any one thing. All the companions are all “idk, I have a few ideas of stuff that’d be cool to see, but I’m up for whatever! All of space and time, woohoo! :)”
And that’s great for them and I know it makes for a better show overall but I think it would be more realistic for someone to say “I want to see every historically significant moment for my special interest, and then I want to double back for mundane bits too.”
I, for example, would be an insufferable companion.
I’d be like, “okay now take me to the place and time where they first used stirrups for the whole ride instead of just using them as a foothold to mount the horse. Then I want to watch Ray Hunt put a first ride on a colt. After that we’ll take a nap, and then let’s sneak onto set of the Return of the King to be extras in the Ride of the Rohirrim”
The Doctor would be all “please. This is the twentieth horse-centric stop in a row. We have all of space available to us. Can we leave Earth this time I’m begging you”
And my annoying ass would go “not unless there’s horses in space” roll credits

Sorry but it is hilarious that the songs about Mike on Will's playlist are like Don't You (Forget About Me) and heartbreak ballads here and there and then Mike has stuff like Angst In My Pants, and Teenage Kicks a few tracks between Love is a Stranger and Destination Unknown all add up to just be "YOU'RE LIKE REALLY HOT WHAT DO I DO IT WON'T GO AWAY FUUUUUUCK". That's so chaotic of them I love the combination.
Anyways, so yeah I forgot that Teenage Kicks was on his playlist that's really funny 😭. Queer trauma and then it's just like "interjecting to remind you that a queer 13 year old boy is still a 13 year old boy" 😭😭😭

DJ Octavio should adopt acht and Marina then they can have a nice family even a family tv show
While I think DJ Octavio IS kind of a parental figure to Marina, and Acht would definitely lose their mind if he complimented their music, I don't think he's a parental figure to them really. However the relationship chart of the New New Squidbeak Splatoon (+all the other people connected into it. Which includes all three of these guys) that lives in my mind is a complete and utter mess and WOULD make for a beautiful family tv show.

Op, it could be entirely possible that your picking up on subtle tone differences bc of your mental illness
something i don't see people talking about re; the james somerton shit is that he sounds different in both hbomb and todd's videos.
what do i mean? in hbomb's video, he has that 'i'm reading text i have no connection to' voice, the kind of voice you hear when someone's reading a textbook or a news article. his tone is flat and just screaming 'i am reading someone else's words'
but in todd's video, where 90% of it is shit james made up himself or misremembers/misinterprets, his voice is much more like, animated? if that makes sense?
it's such a subtle difference, and it's entirely possible i'm entirely imagining it, but i just feel like it's something to talk about.

“He built up this totem of Cassian, this kind of voodoo doll, and the fact that he wasn’t even a blip on Cassian’s radar is crushing to him. He’s so desperate to be remembered and to make a difference, and it’s a cut too deep by that point. He’s been betrayed by Dedra and the Empire, and now his one true obsession doesn’t even think he’s worth remembering. He’s heartbroken.” - Kyle Soller

I know everyone sees Itto as Genshin's comedic relief, but I'm telling you all, Alhaitham is actually the funniest character in Genshin Impact.
According to the fandom, he's hot, he's famous, he's the one in charge of the house...
But according to the people of Sumeru? Dude became grand sage and not a single NPC around the city had a thing to say about that. Sachin's son got his ass beat and he didn't even know who Alhaitham was; it was just "some guy in green." People on the streets are said to not even notice Alhaitham, let alone be able to identify him by appearance. The only time we ever hear NPCs directly commenting on Alhaitham, it's Siraj's collective who hate Alhaitham's guts. Dori refuses to work with him. Random Eremites call him a lunatic within two minutes of meeting him.
Alhaitham's reputation in Sumeru is "Who? Ah, that guy? I heard he's weird," and then everyone moves on.
Meanwhile, Kaveh is literally famous enough to have an epithet ("the Light of Kshahrewar"), is the lead architect on entire city redesigns, and was trusted before Alhaitham's take over to do work on the Akademiya itself. He built the most famous landmark in the rainforest outside of the Divine Tree. He's well-known enough that people bank on his reputation to start scams; people send their children to take courses with him in the belief that it will bless them with successful future careers. He's known for philanthropic endeavors to help the poor and disadvantaged. He won the Interdarshan Championship. This is the Sumeru equivalent of winning an Olympic gold medal!!
Kaveh is the Taylor Swift to Alhaitham's Travis Kelce. They might have independent success, but in every measurement of public sentiment, Kaveh vastly outshines Alhaitham, and the fandom should really take a step back and think about how hilarious this makes everything about their situation in canon.
For the few in Sumeru who are actually paying attention, sure, Alhaitham is the (former) acting grand sage who makes a pretty penny and owns the house Kaveh lives in. For the average majority of Sumeru's citizens who are way more likely to know Kaveh? Alhaitham is literally just "that guy who is shacked up with the Light of Kshahrewar."
Kaveh's efforts to keep where he lives a secret just makes him come across like one of those reclusive types of artists who value their privacy. Half the public in Sumeru probably think he just prefers to keep himself and his lover out of the limelight. Kaveh was so busy pretending not to be poor, he forgot that every ounce of pretending he does just helps him keep his own celebrity status. The harder he attempts to act secretive about where he lives and with whom, the more it comes across as "Please respect this famous person's privacy and stop asking about the details of his relationship."
And Alhaitham, for whom being "that guy who is shacked up with the Light of Kshahrewar" is THE life goal? Everything is going according to keikaku. Kaveh has convinced the entirety of Sumeru that he and Alhaitham are in a relationship, all without Alhaitham having to lift a finger. The more determined Alhaitham gets to fly under the radar, the more it looks like he's Kaveh's kept man. If you aren't living with him because you're broke, then why are you living with him, Kaveh? There's simply no way for Alhaitham to lose.
It's just... so funny.

i’ve seen too many theories recently that cinna was born in the districts, and it’s going to make me crash out. the ENTIRE point of cinna is that he is able to recognize the capitol for what it is. he is able to fly under the radar with the rebellion, because the has the privilege as a capitol citizen to do so. making cinna district would take away so much nuance from his character. let’s remember what lucy gray said to snow in tbosbas:
"I think there's a natural goodness built into human beings. You know when you've stepped across the line into evil, and it's your life's challenge to try to stay on the right side of that line." -pg. 493
this is what cinna represents. someone who has grown up around so much evil and barbarianism, but is smart and privileged enough to recognize the truth. the bravery we see from him in the series is him staying on the right side of that line, and that line is the rebellion.
