Trying cute little coffee/ bake shops around Atlanta 🖤 also I saw this post that said we aren’t having fun as adults because we don’t make bucket lists like we used to as tweens, so here’s my autumn list 🥰

Can't be assed (usually due to chronic pain and exhaustion, but sometimes I'm just apathetic) to take care of myself and home but I CAN Be Bribed
Tumblr media
[Image Description: a notebook page that says "Level 0 twelve/ twenty/twenty-four. Underneath that is a list of tasks, each with a square to be filled in front of it and EXP points at the end of it. The tasks are: Do dishes (filled in, 5 points; Clean apartment (2 points); Eat at least 1 substantial meal (filled in, 1 point); Read at least one chapter of book (1 point); Write (2 points); Brush teeth (filled in, 3 points); Look up city wifi [program] (filled in, 1 point); Try and clean blood stain (filled in, 2 points), Unclog bathroom sink (filled, 2 points); Powder (filled in, 1 point); and French (3 points). At the bottom it says "Reward: ["black sketchbook" has been crossed out and replaced] Heavenly Tyrant", followed by fifty boxes, fifteen of which are filled in. End I.D]
Depending how quickly I level up, might increase the points needed to one hundred bc I can't afford to buy myself little treats all the time 😭

Monthly Focus and Journal List
Tumblr media
It's rare that I put two conflicting layouts onto the same page, but that's because I'm doing a dutch door layout this time around, and I'll get more into that later.
As for the journal list, well... the notebook is just about done, there are only three pages left at the time of writing this, so it will be time to migrate into a new journal.

The books I’ve read so far and my summer TBR! Already read a few of these since taking this picture (Bride, My Roommate Is A Vampire). What’s on your TBR?

For April I barely used any stickers, so I figured I’d go overboard for May to compensate ( ´∀`)

Bucket List
List all the things you want to do this summer!
Tumblr media
I've divided my bucket list to 3 sections (three regular sticky notes glued near to each other).
The first section is about my travels and things I want to do while traveling.
The second section is about my hobbies, the new ones I want to try, and the ones I want to improve, once I'll have more free time during summer.
The third is a more general section. It contains simple things, such as "Eat ice cream".
Of corse you can add more section or don't even use sections at all, the choice is yours.
Here are some more ideas for sections:
New things to try
Foods to eat
Things to do with friends/family
Some useful links:
A travel bucket list
A summer bucket list with doodles
A bucket list you should see
A bucket list with playlist (kinda junk journal version)
And some questions for you:
What is/will be your favorite thing, the thing you absolutely want to do, in your bucket list?
What do you think, will you do all the things in your bucket list?
Feel free to comment and answer the questions!

books & movies of january 2024
I tried this out as something sort of experimental, and I loved to do it as a sort of journaling/logging practice. I put a brief reaction and key quotation from each book and movie I read or watched in January to capture what I thought of these experiences in the moment, as I finished them!
Saw III (2006) dir. Darren Lynn Bousman ★★★★1/2 "Then help me! Fix me! Fix me, motherfucker! I'm standing right here!"
That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming ★★★★ "A fucking demon attacked me last night, and the day had the audacity to shine as if nothing happened? Rude."
All the Feels by Olivia Dade ★★★★1/2 "I stole the note you wrote to the B and B housekeeper and kept all the sticky notes you left for me at the house, so I had all the necessary words in your handwriting. And this morning, before I left for the airport, I had them tattooed on my forearm as a reminder. ... I know who you are. The first thing you said to me."
Jigsaw (2017) dir. the Spierig Brothers ★ "I want to live!" "As do I, Ryan. As do we all. But things happen."
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid ★★★★★ "When you're given an opportunity to change your life, be ready to do whatever it takes to make it happen. The world doesn't give things, you take things."
Parasite (2019) dir. Bong Joon-Ho ★★★★★ "Rich people are naive. No resentments. No creases on them." "It all gets ironed out. Money is an iron. Those creases all get smoothed out by money."

Ever had a planner that made you feel like your life was finally together? I’m using this cute daily layout, and honestly, it’s magic. (Okay, maybe not magic, but close.) It’s making my chaotic life look aesthetic.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳ the "vomit" journaling system *·˚
(a summarization of this youtube video that i believe will be very useful for me)
vent: "write what makes you angry"
obligations: "mind dumping our responsabilities"
obligation dump: write absolutely every responsability
organize: categorize those responsabilities (family, finance, work, health, etc)
prioritize: which of these tasks are going to make the rest easier?
bare minimum + killing it: a daily list of those tasks in two columns of the bare minimum or extra if i'm feeling it.
mindset: "training your mindset"
reframing: "how is this (a given situation present or past) the best thing that has ever happened to me?"
possibility: make positive affirmations about yourself followed by a "because..." and let yourself search and search for an answer. it will also motivate you to create evidence.
inversion: whatever question that i'm asking/ problem that i'm having, write the opposite. that makes the answer seem more obvious as it should give me an obvious behavior or thing to avoid.
perspective: "if my friend had this problem, what would i tell them?"
gratitude: "what are three thingd that you're grateful for today? (one that is mundane, one that happened by chance, one that you made happen)"
ideate: "training the skill of having ideas"
a quantity game: with five minutes in the clock, try to write down thirty answers to one problem or question. don't edit them nor finish the clock early if you think you've found it.
what would ___ do? : when looking for a solution to a problem, ask yourself how someone else would solve it.
open the loop: when being asked a question, your brain will try to find the answer. write the questions to make the question more visual and more important, and the brain will do its job.
trajectory: "get a good sense of it and redirect it"
direction: write down a goal you have and check in your actions if you're moving towards the goal or away. "my goal is saving money for a new camera. i went to a couple stores and i found one that is closer to my price range, i move towards my goal. i overspent money on something i didn't need, i move away from the goal".
day to day: "what excited me? what drained me of energy? what did i learn?"

I'm so grateful for having discovered bullet journals through tumblr a couple years ago because they really improve my quality of life compared to normal calendars or journals and yeah mine never looks as pretty as the ones you see online but it's functional and it's fun and that makes the difference
