- standard commander of the exorcist wardrobe and nearly exclusively how someone will happen upon him unless they catch him off guard, on laundry day, or is Lute. if laundry day, he'll be in a spare exorcist uniform (yes the skirt 1) or a maid outfit someone (probs Gabe) convinced him into thinking was a robe. - when he's first brought to heaven and shown around by Sera, he basically is a combo of both Eden verses- younger again, freshened up, half thick with farm work and (don't forget naked!!) Sera eventually helps him find his main robe to wear because he's mclosing it since the apple made him woke to these things and dying didn't change that. said robe is actually just the massive bell shaped bottom of one of Sera's dresses that she chopped and stitched up for him (he grows into it.) - beneath the uniform, he's still got muscle but it only shows when he's in battle using that farmhand strength to direct his weight around like a literal train wreck. he's gotten chubby from not trusting fruit and not having a woman to fix him home cooked meals anymore, opting for convenience style food (not that he has to eat, but he develops a binging tendency from a combination of the stress of not fitting in to heaven's mold before the 'angel skin' helps him fake it, and from tendencies formed on Earth since food could get scarce just depending on the weather's fee fees) and he holds it in his chest, stomach and ass, though his garb of choice gives him the classic church bell body. - his freckles are still there, but they glow with a faint golden light that's only really obvious in the dark. his wings are composed of golden feathers that are rather impressive when first hitting the sunlight in heaven, but Sera will admit they don't look as nice as that first time now since he doesn't take spectacular care of them, delegating the preens to his exorcist flock and they currently can't outclean the speed at which he accumulates Cheetoh dust in them. - the combination of him being alone for some time before Lute takes over, not taking general care of himself, and being without his rib support beam (that first wamman!) has caused fairly dark circles under his eyes and he generally has an air of deterioration about his actual face when on display. - his actual human nails are usually painted black under his talon gloves. Lute does them for him while they talk shit.

six months remaining ;

- same as above. he ends up with a wing injury from attempting the archangel proposal process (being not a full one himself but kind of like in training? so yeah that fucks his shoulder and wings up a bit.) this confines him to his apartment where he's forced by Lute to just hang out in off duty comfy sweatpants. though he's stuck in short shorts when she makes him go to early morning physical therapy yoga.

dead on arrival ;

- arrives as he came and slowly goes through hell puberty - which is a settling into a demon form that all souls inevitably take while being exposed to hell for too long (and well since it's forever... y'know!!) - since he insists on still wearing his helmet once Vox tech fixes it, he's unaware of the changes at first. gradually his skin starts looking more ashy and toasted like it's trying to shed to match the charred color of his arms that end in actual talons. his eyes were scalded by an archangel (Lute's), and the whites of them eventually fade out to black with pinpricks of gold for a pupil. - eventually his forehead starts to form horn nubs over each brow, but they don't get much bigger than that and sort of resemble piercings. one of his wings is missing (from a comatose meeting with a cannibal who finally got to taste God's chicken-) and he keeps the remaining one permanently tucked at his side like he's worried about losing that one too, though the feathers are faded and look like they might be darkening. the feathers he has sprouted (a couple tucked behind his ears like hair), and those that form a fan at the end of his tail, are dull brownish gold and speckled with black. - in addition to his rib scar, he has a large scar over the solar plexus and on the opposite side between his shoulder blades made of many small entry points, and with how the flesh has healed- it resembles the beginnings of a large rock hitting water impact. - he starts to ignore these changes and continues to just exist as he did in heaven with his helmet on, though trades the robes out for joggers and any other fuck boy rock star gear that Velvette puts him in when he's under contract. and yes, when he wears a hoodie- he just cuts holes in the hood for the helmet's horns. 🤘 - his appearance stays relatively stable to the point he still appears human despite the changes, however- this form can ' break' during high stress situations or even peek through when he's hitting a hardcore metal part of a song. this looks like his eyes inverting colors (so the gold prick widens until it swallows up the whole eye - basically looking like the eyes on his mask), skin on his face becoming essentially losing its corporeal form in the sense it becomes 'void', a dark twisting mass of static energy.

Anakin and Slavers

One thing that I always liked about George´s work in relation to Anakin and slavery is how out of the left field he and Dave Filoni wrote Anakin´s relationship to the people who owned or saw him as a property at one point or another and yet it makes total sense for his character.

For example kid Anakin has no doubt that Slavery is horrible and at 9 he is actually working towards developing technology to help free his Mom, friends and himself from it. He hates with capital H the fact those people have control over the life and death of other people but at the same time he has great compassion and kindness which his mother helped nurture. This along with the fact that Watto was the only adult male figure who was around during his early chilldhood, this complicated his feelings towards slavers in a very tragic way.

Anakin feared Watto´s violence and didn´t for a moment doubt he would have been willing to sell off his mother or him if the customer got to a big enough price but at the same time he listens to his advice when he travels to the dune sea to do his work with the jawas and his pov is almost as important as his Mom´s, in the novelization of TPM Anakin remembers not to talk to strangers or to get close to Tuskens Raiders camps thanks to Watto´s advice.

So in Anakin´s mind, Watto is someone he fears but also someone he takes advice from, respects to a point, sometimes gets sassy to and actually listens to almost as a father figure BUT at the same time he has no doubt he would activate the killing chip if he tried to escape.

Pain/abuse/fear mixed with care/advice(sounds familiar?) Anakin knows slavery is awful but he can´t help but see Watto as a person because of who Anakin is, Annie is a kind and understanding person and to point may justify Watto as a "Man of bussines" and "Not as bad a other masters" "It could be worse" but he definitely doesn´t trust him in the same way he does his mother, she is blood, she is family. He and Mom are a team.They shared their secrets.

The first time Anakin saw Watto again after being freed, he was a Jedi with training, almost a knight and the first thing he does to the guy who beat him and his Mom some years ago is to ask him if he can help with the ship parts Watto is working on because he noticed Watto is struggling and his bussines is falling down compared to how it was when Anakin was a kid. When Watto noticed who Anakin was he didn´t reject him and accepted his congratulations but keep himself appart, hoping to learn about his mother whereabouts.

When Watto told Anakin he sold Shmi, Anakin doesn´t have a reaction, he takes Watto´s justification of "I am sorry Ani but bussines are bussines and anyway the person who bought her freed her and married her" Anakin doubts it´s as good a picture as Watto is talking about but he takes his justification and leaves.

When he meets Owen, Beru and Cliegg he sees they are indeed nice people and the reason for his mothers suffering is something completely different that they were not able to stop so he doesn´t blame them for her fate. When Anakin lost his mother it was only natural for him to seek a family, someone he could share how he really felt and his secrets, he could not be part of the Lars family but Padme was willing to love him so she became his new confirmed family, right along with Obi-Wan and Ahsoka but while he had to show himself different to them, he didn´t had to do that with Padme, just like he did with his mother.

In the clone wars Anakin shows again this complex view of slavers with Queen Miraj Scintel, the cartoon goes out of it´s way to show she looked at him as pretty property and he didn´t let her forget that and actually it was strongly suggested he may have been raped by her at some point to keep safe Obi-Wan, Rex, Ahsoka as well as the people they wanted to save while he got enough soldiers to stage their rescue. Anakin had a plan the whole time just as he did as a kid so he keep his cool even when he saw another slave choose suicide over keep being under the control of Scintel. Yet in the end when the Queen was killed by Count Dooku Anakin felt sorry for her, he could not help it.

So this mix of rejection/anger/hate/disgust towards slavers mixed with pity/understanding which is something that was part of what made Anakin a good person gets used agaisn´t him in his relationship with Palpatine.

He first shows himself as the father figure Anakin thought he could find in Qui-Gon before he died a better father figure than Watto had been, a father figure that didn´t reject this title like ObiWan did, Palpatine did this to get his trust as a young child and later young adult and then he showed himself as the real sith master he actually was, Palpatine knew that Anakin wasn´t a stranger to be treated as property by people who showed themselves as good advicers or somehow not as bad as others despite their actions. So Anakin´s initial compassion, kindness and understanding for people that abused him is played agaisn´t him to make him fall to the darkside and chain himself again to another worse master who didn´t just seek to use his skills and body but who wanted his soul as well.

And the same reasons why Anakin justified Watto at first when he was a young kid also applied to Palpatine, he may be a sith but he ran the Republic better than those corrupt politicians, he isn´t a perfect Emperor but in Padme´s absence he is better than the alternatives. He isn´t as bad as a master and anyway I deserve this because I fell to the darkside and nobody can come back from that, if he abuses me I got this coming because I choose this and he still teaches me the ways of the force, he rescued me from Mustafar when Obi-Wan left me to die and he didn´t have to, he is all I have left.

So once Anakin´s voice died down Vader was left with many reasons to say to Palpatine "What´s your bidding my master?" because in his mind master isn´t a word that contradicts father and Palpatine became his father in all but name, this makes George´s words about Anakin fatal flaw being the fact he loved too much make complete sense and it´s a tragedy.

You can’t even remember why you agreed to come to this stupid party. And then you feel a familiar hand on your back, your boyfriend Derek had dragged you here… of course. And that’s not to say you didn’t love your boyfriend, of course you did! He could just be… pushy, sometimes is all. He never got physical with you but he sure was stubborn, and didn’t seem very good at listening to you when you said you “weren’t the constantly going out type” which was true. You enjoyed a good party as much as the next girl but, this was like the fourth one had brought you to this week, and it was literally only Thursday! You didn’t seem to understand how he got the energy for all this.

All of a sudden you’re snapped out of your thoughts when you hear Derek’s voice calling your name. “Y/N, hellooo, you okay there babe?” He was looking at you as you came out of your zoned out state, haphazardly waving his drink in front of your face. You hated when he did that, acting like you were some space case in front of your shared friends. “Yea I’m fine, was just thinking is all.” You answered him semi-sheepishly, already slightly tired from the amount of social interaction you had done so far.

“Well don’t hurt yourself pretty, can’t have that gorgeous skin of yours forming premature wrinkles!” He said that to the other guys with a chuckle. But you didn’t find it very funny. In fact it was pretty damn rude, maybe even the rudest you had ever heard him be towards you. You quickly spun around to face him. “Okay first of all, don’t know where the fuck that came from, and second, what the hell! Is that really how you think you should be speaking to me? In front of our friends no less??” You were mad, and the volume of your voice showed it. Any louder and you would’ve caused a huge scene, which was definitely the last thing you wanted. Derek could only look at you with a shocked smile on his face. “Babe calm down okay? It was just a joke you know that.”

You couldn’t believe he actually had the nerve to say that instead of apologizing. “Well it sure didn’t fucking sound like one! And even if it did, I clearly wasn’t laughing was I?” Your voice was definitely getting a bit louder now, you even felt your face getting hot. And this douchebag still wasn’t taking you seriously. “Woah Woah Woah, where is all this coming from? Are you okay, I mean are- are we okay cause this feels like a fight babe.” He was slightly laughing as he looked around the living room you were in. It seemed like he was just as paranoid about causing a scene as you were.

“Yes this is a fight Derek! I mean my god, I knew I was smarter than you but come on! A cucumber could put that together!” It felt really good to yell at him, probably too good if you were being really honest with yourself. But you were fed up of all the little building instances of disrespect, so this was definitely necessary. “I seriously don’t know what I did wrong, I mean it was just a joke! It was supposed to funny!” Wow was this man clueless, were your standards really that low? “It’s not just about that one “joke” Derek! It’s about all the little stupid and honestly disrespectful things that you keep doing! Like consistently dragging me to these parties, that I keep telling you I don’t want to come to!” Man did it feel good to get that off your chest, however your boyfriend didn’t look too happy about it.

“What are we even doing right now babe, like what is this? Are we breaking up?” He kinda looked sad now, which is why you felt slightly bad for what you were about to say. “Ya know what Derek yes! We’re breaking up because I simply cannot deal with you anymore!” You said, or rather yelled, that in his face before storming off to the kitchen. Hoping to drown your anger in alcohol and maybe some pop tarts or something. Upon making your way to the counter you grab the first bottle of cheap vodka you see and go to start chugging, when a strong hand on your arm stops you. “Woah careful there tiger, you can’t just go chugging random bottles that could be roofied!” The man spoke as he grabbed the bottle from your hand to lower it back down onto the kitchen counter. You spoke fast without even looking up at him. “Well after my last ten minutes spent here, I really don’t care if I do get roofied, or alcohol poisoned, or blackout drunk or whatever! In fact that’s kind of the goal right now so, move along.” You sajd as you made a shooing motion with your hands towards the man before coming face to face with his abs, and then his face. Holy shit he was attractive. Way more so than your now ex-boyfriend Derek…

Your borderline unethical thoughts were interrupted by his voice yet again. “Well I’m Chad, and I gotta ask, what exactly was so bad about the last ten minutes that made you want to completely disregard your safety? Just curious.” He asked you with an air of sarcastic humor, but he honestly seemed pretty sincere and truth be told, you kinda wanted someone to talk to. “Just broke up with my boyfriend that I came here with. Well he actually sorta made me come here because I didn’t really want to, but that’s not important. Point is he was acting like a dick to me in front of our friends then acted totally clueless when I confronted him about, which made me realize that he’s kinda always been a dick soooo yea. That’s how my night’s going.” You finished your ramblings as you slumped yourself against the counter. You felt relieved to be able to say all of that out loud.

Chad just looked at you for a second, mouth slightly agape from your info-dump. “Well, he sounds like he sucks, and you seem pretty cool so, good on you for getting rid of him!” He somewhat awkwardly raised his hand for a high five, which you reluctantly met. You felt bad for being so unenthusiastic about talking to him, I mean he was being so bubbly and outgoing, letting a complete stranger vent about her relationship problems. “Yea he did suck, and thanks for letting me ramble, I’m y/n by the way.” You finally formally introduced yourself as you went to shake his hand, a habit you had picked up while you were learning to be more polite as a kid. “Ah no problem y/n, and I like the handshake it’s very- gentlewomanly.” You chuckled a little at the phrase. This guy was actually pretty charming, and it definitely helped that he was insanely good looking.

“Ya know you’re actually pretty funny and nice for a guy at a frat party. You don’t really see that a lot ya know?” You were making full eye contact with him now, genuinely enjoying your conversation. “Ah yea I get that a lot, guys kinda hate it cause it means I get a lot of attention from woman and it makes them jealous, but I don’t really care. Half of the guys at this party don’t know how to treat women anyway.” He sounded kinda cocky, but truthfully he was right. College guys were dicks, especially ones who came to frat parties. “Sounded to me like your boyfriend was one of them.”

Okay you were not expecting that. But once again, the gorgeous man in front of you wasn’t wrong. You made sure to look in his eyes as you spoke next, noticing something that you didn’t think was there before. “Yea you’re definitely right about that, looking back I have no idea how I even ended up giving him a chance.” Chad seemed to like that answer, which was good because it was true. Derek wasn’t even really your type. The man that was standing in front of you now was, and you had never been more happy to be a single woman. “I mean I don’t even know you all that well yet but I will say that, you’re absolutely gorgeous, so I’m pretty sure any man in here would be no where near your league.”

And there it was, your opportunity. “Oh yea? You think that includes you Chad?” You framed it as a genuine question, but you already knew the answer. You watched as his eyes flicked to your lips for a second, biting the corner of his lip ever so slightly as he spoke. “I mean, that’s all up to you y/n. I can’t speak for you after all.” And with that you had already decided on your next move, you only had to see if he would take the bait. “Yea I guess you’re right… Anyway I kinda don’t wanna be at this party anymore so I’m gonna walk back to my dorm!” You said as you quickly turned heel to start leaving the kitchen, but not before you said one last thing. “You can walk me back if you’d like, ya know since I don’t have Derek to do it anymore.” You watched as Chad stood up straight with a smirk on his face and walked towards you, slinging an arm around your shoulder.

“Oh I can definitely do that.”

chan shook his head at his members, not phased by them since this was how they always were with each other. “I mean, it does sound like we say shit in super bowl. even the fans think so too.” mia chuckled. “might as well have done it.” jisung and mia gave each other a high five. “all this shit so bussin’”

mia followed behind, she was always quick to change out of her performance clothes, eager to go leave any place quickly.

and as she was finishing up, she checked her phone to see the message she had received from hongjoong.

mia looked up and scanned the room. everyone was so busy talking that she managed to sneak out without anyone noticing. she walked a few steps down the hallway until she was met with hongjoong. he was already smiling at her and mia also instantly smiled when seeing him.

“what are you doing here?” she questioned. “you guys performed yesterday.”

“I know. but we also had meet & greet today.” he answered. “and well we had a little extra time so I decided to come and watch the show. felt as if I had to come support a special someone.”

“aw, really? who?” mia asked, sarcastically.

hongjoong chuckled. “ah, mia.” he said, patting the girl’s head. “you did great as always. also bold of what you and jisung did.”

mia couldn’t help but laugh. “oh, yeah. it was my idea.”

“how’s your schedule looking like?”

mia sighed. “busy isn’t even the right word to say how tight our schedule is. we won’t even be home for that long until a new schedule comes up.”

for the most part of the year, mia had been hanging out with hongjoong a lot. it went from once every two weeks to almost every chance they got. the two had definitely gotten closer rather quickly. the text messages and calls increasing as well. he had become a really great friend to mia.

“what about you?”

hongjoong shrugged, “about the same.” he answered. “but I’ve been trying to make time to put you in my schedule.”

mia slightly blushed and hongjoong noticed. “well even when we’re miles apart or in a schedule, you can always message or call me.”

“yeah, I know that. but it’s just not the same getting to see your pretty face.” now mia was blushing even harder. “can I be honest with you, mia?”

the girl looked up at hongjoong, humming in response as she stared at him to continue. hongjoong slightly but his lip, taking in a second before finally getting the guts to tell mia how he felt about her. “I really really like you.” he said, which made mia’s stomach churn. “I think more than I did before. I think you’re absolutely great and amazing.”

mia had already knew how hongjoong felt about her, but hearing him confess it now and that he was catching more feelings towards her made mia’s stomach churn even more.

“and it would be an honor to finally take you out on a date.” he held onto mia’s hand which made her slightly shiver. she was at lost for words at the moment not know what to say to him.

“of course that’s when our schedules die down, do you don’t have to tell me just yet if you want to or not. I’ll give you some time.” he smiled. “I also know how you feel about dating right now, but I needed to let you know how I felt.”

hongjoong knew about what happened between her and changbin dating and how it ended. along the way of getting closer mia had mentioned it to him to let him know the reason she didn’t want to date.

but now it was a little more complicated because she didn’t know if she still had feelings for changbin since they started to basically date again. although she didn’t know what to really call what they were doing. no relationship though.

mia let out a small sigh while also smiling at hongjoong. “I’ll let you know when I’m ready. I just need…”

from the corner of her eye she saw hyunjin and changbin walking towards. “figure some things out.”

“of course, no worries. I’ll wait for you.” hongjoong smiled. “I better get going before my members start calling me.”

mia let out a laugh. “you do that, and tell mingi that I miss him and said hello.”

“I’ll let him know.” hongjoong smiled at the girl one last time before leaving. he greeted hyunjin and changbin and then was gone.

hyunjin smirked at mia as she gave him a small glare.

“what’s hongjoong doing here?” changbin questioned after he left.

“oh, he was just watching the performances for tonight.” mia answered, chewing the inside of her lip.

“just him alone?”

“mhm.” mia hummed. “are we all set to go?”

“yes, we are.” chan said from behind. he had the girl’s backpack handing it to mia.

riding back to the hotel, mia and changbin sat at the very end of the van. changbin was resting on her shoulder while playing with her fingers.

all while mia was lost in her thoughts. she was confused.

did she want to continue being with changbin, not knowing where things were headed between the two. or was she ready to

move on.

Horace the Librarian

The cool librarian. Probably the one who started Doug’s enduring idea that bow ties look cool and suave. His color scheme is blue and red, just so he stands out from the students a bit.

Auradon Prep definitely has two libraries, the regular working library, and the research library. Horace works in the research library, helping the older students with their junior and senior projects.

Horace is the best librarian to talk to if you’re struggling with college essays. He’s able to tease a personal statement out of even the most shy students, and he’ll make you feel good about yourself as he’s doing it. He genuinely believes that every single person has a story worth telling, so long as you can frame it the right way. After all, he’s just the son of a bookseller from a quiet village, and look at where he is now.

Judy the Guidance Counselor

Judy genuinely loves her job. She’s here for the guidance, but also for the gossip. She loves working with troublemaker students, because they’re the most fun to work with and she gets to actually help them out.

She tries very hard to be hip with the kids. Judy uses all the slang she’s heard from students, and is totally tubular and hip to the jive of the youth trends. She’s on-trend and bussin.

She wears exclusively pantsuits, because again, she’s young and cool and wears pants instead of skirts. She thinks this will keep her cool in the eyes of the students. Her favorite one is a brown courdroy suit with a matching floral scarf, very vintage Auroria-style.

Abigail the Biology Teacher

She specialized in marine biology in college! Her main research is actually on invasive fish populations in the reefs around Atlantica. She would love to get her hands on the reefs within the Isle of the Lost barrier, but she’s not sure how to balance such an important research topic with her teaching career.

She’s very invested in independent learning. Every year she has her freshmen do a research project on a native species that has personal significance to them, and she keeps a tracking sheet of what all her students choose each year.

An astrology gal to her core, Abigail will detail class to talk about her horoscope if you can time it right. The sophomore bio II class takes the most advantage of this. They’ve made a class theme song for Astrology Moments with Abigail.

Margaret the Philosophy Teacher

Margaret started her career as a castle chaplain, and only switched to teaching after her nieces started asking her more and more philosophical questions. Yes, she is the sort of teacher who will engage in a scholarly debate with a five year old. Her high school students are nothing compared to her sister’s toddlers.

Philosophy isn’t exactly a popular elective at Auradon Prep, so Margaret has a lot of time between classes where she engages in personal research. She’s currently writing a book about the afterlife, and she’s written several well-reviewed scholarly papers about the philosophical implications of children’s internal narratives.

She also acts as a dorm monitor for the junior and senior girl’s dorms. She hosts the best late-night study events, and most of her students genuinely like her as a dorm monitor, even though part of her job is patrolling the halls during lights-out and breaking up their illegal room parties.

I usually like to talk about star wars in general and I don´t like to demonize any character be it one of my faves or not but tbh some fan takes really make me mad, takes like:

"Ahsoka wasn´t being fair in her judgment of the Order"

I am like "The Jedi Council, Obi-Wan and Plo Koon included" sentenced her to face a military trial that most definitely was going to end in her execution.

Again, a 16 year old whose only support/family/people she knew in her life abandoned her to be executed by the goverment she fought for three years as a child soldier.

Sorry but considering this, any take she has on the Order, the obvious love she still has for Jedi´s ways, people and life but also the criticism is completely valid on her part and she should say it, in fact I believe she was quite calm in her reaction considering all of that.

Same with her warm dedication to Anakin´s memory as her "older brother" you know given he was the ONLY ONE who thought about getting her a lawyer and solve the mystery to keep her from being executed by their own government, he was her master and treated her like actual family and didn´t break his links with her after the Order expelled her on circunstancial evidence or thought she was wrong for leaving after all of that like Obi-Wan did.

There´s Jedi unreasonable hate and there is reasonable, based in the story criticism and this is part of it.

Another fandom take that really gets on my nerves is:

Anakin was a child problem for loving his Mom, his Mom was like a Jedi and understood she had to "let go of him"

I am like: Shmi was a literal slave whose only way to keep Anakin from sharing the same fate as her was to give him up to a bunch of strangers, Shmi didn´t know anything about the Jedi but knew being free was better for Anakin than being a slave.

Anakin loving his mother and missing her isn´t attachment, it´s normal for a 9 year old to miss his mother, he also had a right to be mad with the republic for allowing slavery out of convenience and with the Jedi for supporting the republic on this instance because it wasn´t jedi bussines.

"Anakin was an incompetent leader"

Anakin was one of the best Jedi leaders out there in the clone wars, that´s why He and Obi-Wan got the harder missions dealing with Grievous, who killed a lot of Jedi or Count Dooku who also killed Jedi.

He got the moniker "hero without fear" out of the sheer victories he got for the republic and the many planets he helped free from separatist attacks, he also established training for what would become the first cells of the rebel alliance.

He wasn´t just a competent leader, he was a brilliant general, recognized by his enemies and friends alike.

"The clones are not a slave army"

The Clones were purchased with republic credits by a Jedi Master, that makes both the Republic and the Jedi Order their owners, this is canon in Attack of the Clones and in the Clone wars.

They dont get a salary because they are merchandise, property of the republic and the Jedi Order.

The Jedi Order didn´t know about the purchase but the fact they didn´t say anything post fact about the clones being slaves doesn´t give them a good look as "peace keepers to the galaxy" they were more, in this instance, supporters of the status quo.

And no, nothing of this makes valid Order 66, the Jedi Order didn´t deserve to be anhiliated for all of this but the Jedi Order definitely were a flawed organization made up of people with virtues and flaws who unfortunately supported blindly a corrupt system. The Republic was the mother of the Empire after all.

Sibling Shuffle: Random Bits of Lore

I’m gonna be busy this week, so probably won’t post very much. So, have some assorted lore. Sorry!

When Roll found out that Rock hadn’t seen Star Wars, she called the rest of the family for an “Emergency Movie Night.” (Rock is now not only a fan of the first movies in the Star Wars trilogy, he also keeps some of his possessions in a Star Wars backpack.)

Speaking of movies, Roll likes Mulan. I’ve had this headcanon for ages and I don’t know where exactly it comes from, but she thinks Mulan is super cool. She has definitely dressed as Mulan for Halloween at least once.

Blues has never thrown out a gift someone gave him. His scarf (a gift from Dr. Light) is his most prized possession, yes, but he has kept some pretty useless gifts, too. For example, he has a bunch of "cool-looking" rocks that one of his best friends used to hand him and infodump to him about whenever they hung out.

Bass isn’t allowed to play competitive games inside of Wily's fortresses/castles/hideouts with Piano anymore. Not after… the incident. 

When Piano first learned some internet slang, she used it. (Imagine this girl pointing blank-faced at an E-Tank and monotonously announcing "This be bussin', yo. No cap." and then downing the entire thing.)

All Robot Masters have a function that governs their decisions. Roll & Rock are both supposed to "help people" (which both do by hero-ing, Roll does still help at Light Labs & Rock initially did by helping Wily) (Rock also likes to help out at local animal shelters, and Roll helps fix robots that are damaged in her free time), Bass has something more like "help / support Piano" (which doesn’t say anything about how useful he has to be, which he exploits), and Piano has something like "be the strongest/best" (which gives her a surprisingly large degree of freedom). Blues just happens to have the most versatile function: he’s supposed to demonstrate the capabilities of Robot Master AI - basically, his function is to "be himself".

All of them are kinda stuck in their function, however. Roll and Rock will always be looking for ways to help people. Bass can’t often turn down a request for help from Piano (even if he’s not actively looking for ways he can help like Roll & Rock do). Piano, similarly, can’t refuse a chance to prove her superiority. And Blues would rather literally die than risk losing his personality. There are loopholes in each one (for example: Rock’s function being exploited by Wily up until Kalinka’s kidnapping), and they each have their own thoughts & feelings on their functions, but they can’t really "escape" them.

Most Robot Masters can’t swear. Bass, as you can see in the comic strips, has tried. They get real-time censored by a loud beep if they try. Because Dr. Light was still working out the details of the censor at the time of his construction, Blues can’t talk about hell (the place) without getting censored like he’s saying hell (the swear). (Blues won’t let Dr. Light fix it, both because he doesn’t like anyone poking around in his programming and because he thinks it’s funny.)
