in which reader is the sorcerer supreme. it’s that ONE scene at kamar-taj. 18+(ish)
Tumblr media
“i need the darkhold spells, you are the sorcerer supreme, tell me what you know.”
you spit blood that almost chokes you before snarling, “you’ll have to kill me, witch.” because you’d simply rather her end you, than know how hard you’ve been yearning for her touch. she’s not wanda, that’s not the same avenger you used to know.
“oh, but that’s not what you want me to do is it?” she smirks and strides toward you, taking your chin in her dominant hand. the witch tugs on your face, pulling it to look at hers but you do everything in your power not to make eye contact. the tips of her fingers almost burn from the lust you’re trying to push away, finally being this close to the woman you’ve watched take down the worst villains. but now, she’s the villain and you’re her salacious little prey.
“you may have power y/n, but don’t forget, you’ve said it yourself, i am a being of unfathomable magic.” her hand extends from your chin to your throat, and she begins to grip you so tight, you’re pulled up to your feet for any air.
an involuntary shiver runs over you and she chuckles at your compromising position. when both of your eyes finally meet, you see the red flaming pupils, a ravishing grin smothering her face, “i know you don’t want me to kill you, y/n, you want me to fuck you.”

heyy so you know pierres lore today. the new report. from the fed scout. talking about aypierre and ayrobot and ayrobots stasis and the feds wanting to run analysis machines on ayrobot while hes in said stasis and aypierres away.
yeah. i was sitting here wondering what those analysis machines could imply/cause and how much the feds could have tampered with ayrobot, and i came to the realization. in the pre-established lore, the stasis was made of ice, and ayrobot had been put there bc aypierre would be away from the LPs island for a while. and then the ice melted, and we're told its because aypierre had been away too long. and ayrobot thought he had been abandoned - which caused some of the rage and anger he feels towards aypierre.
what im saying is, what if the ice didnt melt bc it had been too long. what if it melted very prematurely. from the feds tampering. because thats what i think is being implied here. which is crazy.
the feds possibly started the domino effect there.

the thing about hoffstrahm is i don’t think they grow old together and die of old age. i think they spend like five to ten years on the run and its the most alive strahm has ever felt and the most content hoffman has ever been. and after all those years they get sloppy. they fuck up, somehow, and they get found out. and maybe it was strahm who fucked up and maybe he kind of did it on purpose, but he doesn’t want to think about why. either way, they both know they’re about to get caught. hoffman is panicking and strahm is so torn between feeling guilty and relieved. tensions high, they get into an argument over something so insignificant but they still fight like wild animals. and that’s how it ends; they tear each other to shreds, clawing and biting at each other’s skin, trying to break anything capable of being broken. and when they’re found they’re lying on the floor embracing one another .

I love the general consensus the KNB fandom came to that if Akashi happened to find a stray cat, he'd probably sneak it into his dorm and take care of it. Like yes give me more headcanons of Akashi being smitten with stray cats and nursing them back to health if need be.

The critical writer part of my brain has a number of issues with the PJO show, especially concerning tone and characterization, and how it is over-reliant on the audience being familiar with the books instead of trying to set up a story that works independently of its source material.
Sadly, I am constantly overrun by the monkey brain who goes tee hee every time it sees these funky little children breathe.

i feel like this season and this finale is going to turn some people off of our flag means death, but it seems strange to me, you know?
like yeah there was a bit of whiplash. it went fast and hard, and that's not everyone's thing. but i feel like some people are going to be really upset by parts of the show like the way ed and stede still haven't talked to one another, the choices characters made, and the way that izzy died. but it seems like the show is structured for three seasons, so all of this ultimately makes sense to me.
ed and stede have a lot to work on in their relationship still. i think they'll find being inkeepers to not be the right thing for them. but they could use that space to figure themselves out away from the world of piracy. they need to talk, and they need to grow.
some of the character choices felt odd at times - or at least what we saw on screen. not seeing stede say goodbye to the crew felt strange, but how could they have really executed that in a satisfying way? i think the rush of the season prevented us from seeing some development play out, so things feel a bit off, but i still think the choices ultimately make sense for the characters.
and as much as it hurt, izzy's death made a lot of sense too. he had his rebirth this season - he embraced the ways of the revenge, so it felt like he had to be untouchable in the fairytale world we so often associate with the ship, but if this season has shown us anything, it's that neither the grimdark edgy lens not the bright storybook view are the truth, and the show is increasingly meeting in the middle. that pain and tragedy is real, and the fact that it hurts is what makes it work so well. stede and ed deciding to stay on land by izzy's grave? that adds a whole new layer to understanding their relationship, and i'm excited to see where it takes them.

I've watched the first four episodes of Fionna and Cake. Since the characters in Fionna's world don't have any conscious memories of their life before Simon was freed from the crown, Gary and Marshall may one day need to work through the hurt in their past if they ever get those memories back fully. Probably resolve to work on their relationship and communicate better this time.
Right now they have a clean slate as they don't appear to have met yet. They have a fresh start.
I'm super curious on how the show will handle this later on. If the characters will get their memories back and if it will seem like a past life to them.

I dunno if it was mentioned before (if it was then uhhhhh just link the post where it was) but how does Soul copes with Heart situations? Because yes, Mind copes by just keeping himself busy, and trying to find a solution. But I can't recall what Soul do. Does they just helps him? Or something more? :^
evil little grin finally. a Penitence ask. about the worst possible thing >:)))
tbh I was gonna explain this in the Penitence character ref lmao
TW for self harm and suicide attempt (the traditional media depiction way this time) + probably inaccurate depiction pls I am trying dont come after me qwq
(IT KEEPS GETTING LONG I have too many thoughts and some might come out wrong)
So I think I mentioned here that both Perseverance and Penitence take Heart's condition poorly and develop incredibly poor and self destructive coping mechanisms in response. But I never talked about Penitence.
Soul is devastated. There is a trauma to finding what is basically the dead body of your brother and Knowing that its been almost a week since the first mention of Heart being unconscious (even if neither of them knew it at the time). He is their vessel and he is his brother's keeper, and he has failed horrendously at both jobs.
{He has the best understanding of how the three of them operate, but even Soul doesn't know whats wrong. Heart isn't dead. Yet. He doesn't know what to do.}
Outside of crying, he holds it together pretty well the first 10 days honestly, compared to Mind. Soul is a little more focused early on in keeping shit together. He takes on a sort of main caretaker/nurse role, monitoring and observing Heart while also eventually forcing Mind to sleep.
The thing is that sitting silently next to an unconscious body gives him time to think (something Mind has been avoiding ironically). His first coping mechanism is to scrape his memory of loops on loops on loops on loops to find something, anything similar, anything that might help him fix this problem that he has created. Because he created this problem didn't he? He condemned Heart to Apathy.
There is nothing. This is a first in the loops. Both extending the punishment and Heart's condition. The realisation breaks Soul. He has never messed up this badly before, and he is the worst version of himself. The guilt and grief is overwhelming.
On day 10 Mind wakes from a dream and walks in on Soul attempting to hang himself.
The rest of the day is a mess, and they make an Oath together afterwards. Neither of them is allowed to give up unless they both have. [A promise to persevere] {A promise to repent}
For the rest of the AU, Penitence picks up the significantly more destructive coping mechanism of cutting himself on the tines of his trident. {Hebrews 9:22: In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.} {Penitence seeks forgiveness more than anything.}
Its his own form of punishment, seeing as Heart can't punish him the way he thinks he deserves. The pain is unwelcome entirely, and does nothing for his thoughts and guilt. Truthfully, the act makes him worse, but punishment is not meant to be nice, and it is penitence and it is repentance. {Repentance, like what he demanded of Heart before leaving him in Apathy. Did repentance help Heart? He is repentant anyway.}
It is a quiet thing, just like how Perseverance's overworking is a quiet thing.
He stops wearing short sleeves and short pants around the house. He wears Heart's hoodie instead. If Perseverance doesnt see he can't be burdened by what he does. [Perseverance knows, knows, knows despite that. The trident drips red. He bandages Penitence daily. He says nothing anyways. He knows this is the price to keep the noose packed away.]
Despite the poor coping mechanism, Penitence does help a lot. He makes sure Heart is comfortable and not freezing his already cold arms off. He cooks and makes sure Perseverance eats and sleeps. He helps monitor and observe and record changes in Heart's condition (even if the record remains "no change" for days).
{When Heart wakes and relapses and wakes and relapses, Penitence takes most of the anger and betrayal and screaming crying accusing that Heart spits at him. He tries his best to shield Perseverance from justified anger by taking it all on himself.}
He scratches at his cuts often. He doesn't allow the cuts to heal. He runs the tines of his trident over any that do. The pain and shakiness of his limbs is a reminder of his crime. He knows this is unsustainable and unhealthy. He can't stop himself, just like how Perseverance can't stop himself either.
Self-blame is one of the worst fates you can inflict on yourself.

I was irritated at Chiron for not canceling the three legged death race. I thought that there was no way that he could be this stupid then I remembered Calf Halfbloods history of the chariot races and yeah this is in character.
I think it’s because of the new perspective that the race stands out. I think any kid would be on board and trust the adults to know what they are doing. Apollo is an adult and was warning everyone in vain of the danger.
Pjo was supposed to be taken at first glance as the kids book and ToA questions a lot about it in a way.
