He heads over to the side of the diner, away from the door and out of the wind. There’s enough light spilling out from the diner windows, mixing with the orange glow of the truck stop sign. He lights his cigarette and savours the first long pull.
A deep voice breaks over the quiet. “Got a light?”
A shiver runs down Louis’ spine. The cowboy approaches, eyes focus intensely on Louis. Louis pats his pocket pulls out his lighter.
Orville pulls his bandana down. The folded blue fabric drapes around his neck. Louis holds his stare as he offers the flame. He leans closer with a cigarette dangling between his lips.
It feels illicit to see the rest of the cowboy’s face this close. So many details stand out, his steel blue eyes, two days’ worth of auburn stubble along his jaw. And those plush, rose pink lips wrapped around the filter. Louis imagines those lips pressed elsewhere. His lips. His neck. His cock.
Once it’s lit, Orville leans back against the wall, and the shadow cast from the brim of his hat obscures half his face once more. He asks, “What brings you to Payne’s in the middle of the night?”
“Tour. Got a show in LA.”
The answer is met with a hum. Louis can’t make out if it is unimpressed or disinterested. He’s very hard to read. Louis returns the question, “You come through here often?”
“Yeah, I’m a trucker.” He nods toward the row of parked trucks. “Hauling a load from Calgary to San Fran. No one on the highways at night, so it’s a decent route if I can beat the morning rush hour through the city.”

I did something silly….. I made QL guess who!
About a year and a half ago I had the idea for a custom ql guess who game but I had no one to play it with so I just put it to the side until I (hopefully) would. Fortunately that day came this weekend when @pondphuwin and I got to play a few rounds (they beat me 4:5 actually lmao)!
Some of the questions we asked were stuff like “is it from gmmtv,” “does your show have a branded pair,” “is there a love triangle,” “is there a debate over whether your show is a bl or not,” and more personal ones like “am I crazy over one of the main actors,” “do we have beef with the way this bl went,” “did we watch this live together,” and so on. Rlly fun stuff!
Since this is a custom guess who I had to make all the pieces manually. At first it seems fine and easy bc there’s already official posters right? But the difficulty is that almost every poster is a different size. So I figured out how to get the proper guess who face piece measurements and manually resized each poster to fit, with a slight gradient in the background where the remaining space isn’t covered by the poster. You can see those gradient bars on the top and bottom in the closeup of the last twilight piece, for example. Also it’s just really funny to hold mini posters of qls lmao (using my hand as a reference)
There’s 190 ql poster pieces in total (based on approx. how many I’d seen as of the time of printing) (yes I will add more as time goes on) and they were all put on one big google doc that covered about 10 pages and looked like this!
After I had them all set I printed them out on cardstock so they were thicker & more sturdy and then I did a lot of cutting. And since both players need the same posters I had to cut it all twice
Are there easier ways to do this? Maybe. I’m not sure. Honestly I just did whatever like this is my own gay little art project lol
Once I had them all cut and held them in my hand I felt quite proud of my work and now that I’ve actually played it I really do
Here’s just like a pic I took when we were playing a round. Since there were so many, after every round we took out the two qls we just selected and replaced them with new ones and we never ran out lmao. It took quite a bit of effort but it was totally worth it hehe

I’ve discussed before the parallels between Blyke and John, but here I shall call attention to the way that the two of them are drawn.
Unfortunately I don’t appear to have any good pictures of Blyke OR John where Blyke isn’t getting beaten up, but I’m here to point out how similar they look. They wear the same uniform, of course, they have similar builds, the same haircut/style, and the same eye color.
Even later on in the series, when Uru-chan began to vary the facial features of the characters (namely eye shape), Blyke and John remained strikingly similar.
(There was also a point in time where Blyke’s hair was drawn more out to the sides, presumably to differentiate him from John post-hair gel, but it is not drawn that way anymore.)
I’d like to point out this panel:
This was taken from the season 2 part 1 recap.
It... really looks like john is beating up himself. Of course, we as the audience recognize that panel and we know that it’s Blyke, but the two of them could’ve been switched and it would look the same. I believe that this was an intentional choice; not all flashback panels have the same effects on them, and this particular effect happens to make Blyke’s hair look black. Also, with the panel that is chosen, Blyke’s face is not visible. Even if their faces did look significantly different, we wouldn’t be able to tell.

A rather bad picture of some nice lotus and beef stew I had last year. I'd always wanted to try it and I saw a Chinese restaurant near me that served it and had to get some.
As a whole, I don't think I would ever crave this dish, but I really enjoy the texture of lotus roots, so I thought it was nice. The roots aren't particularly flavourful, though, so I can imagine others wouldn't enjoy it much.
