I finally met Nanami

#The 'I'm an adult you're a child. I have a duty to prioritise your life over my own' thing #and how he sent Itadori off to some other place for him to deal with the problem of his own and not risk the kid got me #'He's still a child' he tells Ijichi. Because Ijichi clocks him #Ijichi is powerless but he does share this mindset #Shoko too in her way. She made sure Itadori knew he had not killed anyone #Gojo too in his way cares for the kids not to do risky stuff and keeps them safe #They're the four of them very much alike if each in their own way #And Gojo must trust the three of them a lot for him to let them know about Itadori #It's nice to see how Ijichi‚ Nanami and Shoko in this chapter‚ but the four of them in general‚ work together #It may be nothing. I might be overreading #But they seem to get each other and foresee each other's moves and thought progress pretty well. There seems to be a certain intimacy #Nanami and Gojo were super cute together. Nanami is very serious and talks very formally #but it seems him and Gojo have quite a lot of intimacy? Gojo is flippant in how he deals with people but he does say he trusts Nanami #and he got very into his personal space #And he way Nanami talks about and with Gojo and how he reacts also seemed to denote a decent amount of closeness in his way #They sort of reminded me a bit of Break and Reim when Break first introduces Reim #Anyway they were cute. This group of adults is very endearing together and in how they treat the kids. I like that the kids feel like kids #And that the adults regards them as such. Though I have threads/asks to get to, I'm curious if one of these would catch anyone's attention. I know sending in sentence starters isn't always up everyone's alley and it's a little harder when it comes to interacting with a character who's canonically dead in present day, like mine. Although (I need to write up the details for the first iteration of it) I do have her resurrected in a present timeline (see tags). If you're interested in me either coming to you, or fishing up something with a bit of a red line, give this a like and I'll see what I can do! Trust me when I say, if we're mutuals, I'm interested in writing with you. See this as a little cheat to grab my attention if you want it!

#[ so i've simply been dying to get her in a modern setting /without/ changing the course of events. ]#[ so while i need to refine the details and the circumstances may differ down the line-- it won't affect interact with most of you-- ]#[ as i heavily tie guizhong to the moon/night due to too many references to it in her attire and symbolisms alike... ]#[ and also to the chasm and its origins-- that's a whole other hc. ]#[ i've decided the first iteration of resurrecting her to simply be based within the concept that the gods never quite die... ]#[ because the elements that they're tied to never do either. they're not 'personifications' by any means-- but they're a part of. ]#[ they can manifest into a corporeal form and in the same way; that form can be broken and destroyed. ]#[ and it weakens them immensely; a much more severe form of osial being 'restrained'/locked away for thousands of years. ]#[ i envision that they can't simply reform. but they could over-time. or at least when 'stars align' of sorts. ]#[ when their element is at its strongest and can gather elemental energy from /somewhere/. ]#[ so /after/ the events of the game thus far-- during moonchase; on the night when the moon is at its fullest... ]#[ and at its apex. it's shining less brightly than it normally is-- and it's because it's being used as a battery of sorts. ]#[ you know all of the dust above cuejiue slope? that cloud of dust moves towards the cliff by the harbor-- by that sole glaze lily. ]#[ and dust from across liyue and possibly even teyvat-- slowly gathers. it would look like a shadow from afar. ]#[ and it gathers and along with the energy that the moon supplies that night; when everything falls into place... ]#[ it allows her to regain her corporeal form as it existed prior. ]#[ this is after 'rex lapis' has stepped down and retreats from his position as archon of liyue. ]#[ she doesn't step in by any means whatsoever-- her re-manifestation is actually (in my verse) witnessed by him from afar. ]#[ and then witnesses it up close as she finally forms after a long time of this process. ]#[ she wouldn't go by 'guizhong' except by adepti who remember; but she might go by haagentus. at least initially. ]#[ /breathes. hi. hello. i'm sae and i'm a mess of an individual-- pls come here and don't leave me despite it. ]#[ ooc. ] wherever her spirit may be among the countless grains of sand and specks of dust between the harbor and the mountains…

I remember seeing a lot of people saying things like "oh people assume you're cishet before you come out because it's most common/seen as the default..." But I disagree. Cishet isn't the default in any way, even if common. My take of the day:

Aroace agender is the human default.

Everyone starts off as a baby. And babies are inherently aaa because. Obviously. Babies do not see bodies as anything (other than mother's milk which is food), it's not sexual. Babies do not want romance, only platonic love is enough. Babies don't understand gender stereotypes, and therefore everything is agender. It's just "thing", not "masculine thing" or "feminine thing".

As they grow up, kids of certain ages start understanding and putting weight on gender, giving them a gender identity/ideal. Their bodies look the same as their peers (purely body shape, ignoring hair and clothing etc), so they are the same, therefore there is no "two(or more) genders", and it's just "child".

Most children don't start feeling any kind of romantic attraction until a certain age (if ever). Sexual attraction comes much later too, when teens "discover themselves"(aka coming out as not ace) (if they're not ace).

All this to say, cishet is not default. Kis shouldn't have to "come out" as not cishet, because they shouldn't be assumed to be cishet in the first place. Adults shouldn't push their views onto kids who have yet to even understand these concepts, much less worry about it yet.

so since Valentines is tomorrow i just!! wanted to go ahead and say my part to also, celebrate Aromantic Awareness Week too by mentioning that we never talk about how romance, at its core, is a friendship more than anything! you can have your sex and sensual intimacy and kissing but, the thing is, it all goes back to people just. genuinely craving companionship. hddklsjdslk maybe it's just me being Demi personally but i think, to water romance down (as a lot of most media does) to just the sexual tension, or kissing, or flirting is doing us all a disservice. that stuff is all well and good! but to me romance has always been more than that.

it's about getting to know your partner better than you know yourself. it's about wanting to spend the rest of your life with them, and share in the highs and lows of what it may bring. it's a bond you have that is no less stronger than a friendship and, again, a friendship--that is practiced through a different lens--is a great way to describe it i think at its root. everything else is just a reflection of that.

above all else, romance begins with having a best friend.

and i think that's a very beautiful thing!
