Sam and Mary have so much in common, the way they both joined the hunting community (whereas dean stayed away), but this, the wish to have a normal life without monsters is where he inherited from her

Thorgi's Arcade's thoughts on the Tekken 8 story got me into thinking again... Obviously, spoilers will be discussed below.
Before the game even released I suggested that Reina might be Kazuya's daughter and not Heihachi's, and until Reina herself said she is the daughter of Heihachi, I was still sure this was the case.
The thing is, what if Reina thinks she is the daughter of Heihachi. That's what Thorgi suggested that got me thinking again...
Let's take things from the beginning.
Ever since the retcon of the devil gene concept was introduced in the plot, we knew that Kazuya and Jin possessed it, but Heihachi did not. He conducted various weird experiments to make sure he did not possess it himself and that he could also not pass it on. For starters he fathered Lars to see if a new offspring not mothered by Kazumi would come to possess the devil gene. Lars did not and so Heihachi completely forgot he even existed. We later learn that it was actually Kazumi who possessed the devil gene that was passed on to Kazuya and then Jin. Heihachi had no reason to test his theory of him being able to pass on the devil gene after he saw Lars already didn't have it, so why father Reina then? Reina being Heihachi's daughter and also possessing the devil gene completely overwrites Lars' mere reason for existing. I suggested that the wording of the story in Tekken 8 seemed to suggest that Azazel might be able to randomly grant people with the devil gene and its powers, and since he was sealed within Kazuya when he "killed" Reina and her devil gene awakened, it still might be possible that Azazel chose to give the devil gene to Reina since she already hated Kazuya and maybe he thought that if she kills Kazuya he will be freed? That's a lot of assumptions though and I'm still not even sure this retcon about Azazel choosing his devils is true.
After her battle with Reina, Nina seems to be the first character to realize who she really is. Notice that she deliberately says "You are Mishima's..." And then she is cut off by Jack-8's arrival. It's clear she was about to say "daughter"... But she doesn't say "Kazuya's daughter", she says "Mishima's"... Which Mishima's Nina??
Speaking of Nina, we know Steve was created as a test subject using her genes, in an attempt by Heihachi to crate an "artificial" devil gene. The other main shady company, G Corporation, is known to engage in shady experiments of their own. In fact, the only reason Kazuya is back is because they recovered his remains from the volcano Heihachi threw him in and used them to reconstruct a new body for him. Which means that they had access to his genes. The other asset they had access to, was Emma Kliesen, Leo's mother. She was one of the scientists working on Mishima Zaibatsu's super soldier program that resulted in the creation of Steve, and she was also the one who helped him escape and left him at the care of the British orphanage he grew up in. We also know that she was among the G Corp officials Kazuya killed because they tried to kill him themselves by sending the Jack-4 units at Hon Maru to take both him and Heihachi out in Tekken 5. We also know that she was researching the devil gene before being killed. So we have a scientist who has worked on experiments regarding genetically engineered children who ended up working at G Corp. We don't know for how long she was there and if it adds up with the timeline. Emma saved Steve when he was 6. Steve is 22 in Tekken 8 and Reina is somewhere between 16-18, since she's a high school student, if we assume she's not in her final year of high school and she's either 16-17 that means that could very well have started working on G Corp. right after helping Steve escape and her involvement and knowledge along with access to Kazuya's gene could have, this time, resulted in a genetically engineered child with actual devil genes.
Reina's clearly been told she's a Mishima but what if she just assumed she was Heihachi's and not Kazuya's on her own? Kazuya can't have fathered her in the traditional way because we know she's in high school, meaning that Kazuya was still being remade by G Corp. at that time and he wasn't yet walking about. I also think the chances of Heihachi managing to find another woman possessing the devil gene and having Reina with her so that she would have it herself and then molding her after his own image is even more far-fetched than what I have already suggested myself lmao 🤣

Chapter 13 Episode 1 Part 3
We start with narration about Tangaroa’s world. Tangaroa went to Tokyo to learn more about other worlds for the future of his island but…
Next we cut to the Camouflage wrecking parts of Tokyo but Shinya’s team put a stop to that. Temujin appears before them and Shinya shoots one of his arrow at him. Temujin ask if Shinya intends to interfere with their invasion and that he should give in to the role as Zeus. Reinforcement arrives and among them is Perun. Shinya says he was born and raised in this city and will protect. He won’t be a part of this game. Temujin say that it’s their right to conquer and rob everything. Tragedy is necessary for this game. Shinya or Zeus power ruins relationships, it’s makes people love him and they can’t help but ask why. Back to Tangaroa, he is injecting memories of past loops (Gogo1 and Gogo2) into MC. Saying he will defile this world. As more tentacle approaches MC, Wakan knocks them away with his breeze. Tangaroa tells him to stay out of his way and the two begin to battle.
Tumblr media
After that we start narration about the last judgement. We cut to Missionare church. The situation with the Invaders has escalated. Screams and explosion can be heard in the area, as the children in the church starts sobbing. Azazel comforts the children telling them that he’ll protect them. He looks around and notice the number of angels has decrease due to the three guilds, doesn’t help that Arsalan and Zabaniyya are both gone. An explosion occurs and the doors are breach as the invaders enters. They demand that everyone leave the building. Azazel knows that their true goal is to expose everyone to the memory altering rain. He could undo his chain to take care of the minions but he can’t because the owner of those chains, Israfil, is here in Tokyo.
Tumblr media
Back to Maria and Jacob. Maria how can Zabaniyya be here. But Jacob tells her not to be fooled, it’s Israfil. Israfil call himself the angel that enjoys life after it’s extinct, and he just starts laughing all evil like. Maria continues to use her thorns as shield from the rain. But Israfil knows that she won’t last long. Maria asked how does he know about her Sacred Artifact. Israfil said that him and Zabaniyya have fused and that he has his memories. Israfil asked Maria will her blood be enough to cleanse the sins of the people of Tokyo, but Maria states she is not alone. She will chose her own path all the way to the end. She stands up to Israfil and tells him to get out of Zabaniyya’s body. Jacob using this chance to deal a blow to Israfil from behind. Back to the Missionaries, help has arrived as the Gurus are here to help. And back to MC, just as one of this shadow tentacle was about to hit them, Ryota stepped in and block with with Holy grail. He’s glad he was able to make it in time. He was able to get there thanks to Raijin (a member of the Gurus). Raijin states that there’s no invincible power, there’s always a contradiction. If the rain gives memories then Ryota’s power can disperse memories elsewhere. The Mugen World Reps continue to battle until they clash one more creating a massive force that knocked MC out, who was shielding Ryota. We MC woke up, all of Tokyo has been flooded and the World Reps are gone.
Tumblr media
Ryota noted that felt like he seen this scenery before, every time Tokyo gets destroyed by an exception. Turing appears and tells them that this is an exception area so they should be used to seeing this. He revealed that his plan was to use the Invaders exception as a weapon. He then asked them if they’re worried about Shiro and Kengo but tells them not to worry since they can’t drown. What’s covering Tokyo isn’t water but a massive information pool. He then asked MC if they want to know what happen in between the happy past and the tragic end. And that there’s a person waiting for them in the deepest parts of Tokyo bay. Ryota is sure they’ll fix this since they dealt with multiple exceptions already. Turing is impressed by their resolve as a big hole opens up. This Tokyo bay submarine network, there they will meet Issac. And also the Valiant Exception, the invaders ultimate weapon, will also be there. Turing volunteers to be their guide.
Tumblr media
To be continued.

current rewatch is mid s14, and this morning I watched Lebanon, 14.13. And I have some thoughts. Probably thoughts I’ve already had, but they hit different now...
Dean smashed that pearl, and I really do think that he got his stated wish-- Michael out of his head. After all, none of the last 14 years ever happened, post wish, and the door to the alternate universe was never opened, Michael never came through... none of it. It’s like their entire history was rewritten.
And we know Chuck was the writer all along. But we also know how Chuck used free will and choice to manipulate them their entire lives. It was always their choices, only none of their choices were GOOD, you know? He laid down the game, set them on the board, and controlled and limited their choices at every turn.
Just like the false choice Dean was presented with in every repeat of the loop in Rocky’s bar in 14.10-- every day when the realtor came in asking Dean to sell the bar, forcing him to choose to stay there, unwittingly trapped in that loop by Michael. “Living the dream.” What if he HAD chosen to sell? What if Michael’s little bubble of a world in his head broke down, and Dean stopped participating in the charade? Would the entire illusion have shattered? Would Michael have had to step in and reinforce the illusion in some way? Because as long as Dean kept “choosing” to refuse to sell the bar, he was choosing to stay in the illusion, in the false reality trapped in that loop in his own mind.
The pearl wish was effectively no different, just on a much larger scale.
He chose to make the wish, and the pearl delivered it. Michael was gone from his head, at least for a little while. The world fundamentally changed, and even Chuck’s story going back to the beginning of the series had to change with it. The narrative of the entire series was erased, including Chuck’s involvement in all of it. Which seems... impossible, to erase the will of God when he has literally been writing their story from the start.
Why would bringing John from the past have stopped the angels from manipulating events to bring about the apocalypse? It wasn’t JOHN they needed to break seals, it was DEAN. Why would the demons have simply left Sam at Stanford to complete his law degree? Why would they have allowed Dean to get out of sacrificing himself, just because John wasn’t there to sacrifice himself first?
We know the angels (and demons) had been playing a very long con to start the apocalypse, since long before Sam was born (remember Azazel at the convent in 1972, in 4.22? so do I). And all of that preparation-- everything that had happened before 2003-- still happened, before the pearl wish brought John to 2019. Cupids still worked their asses off to unite John and Mary so that Sam and Dean could be born, to fulfill eons of prophecy that they would be the true vessels to Michael and Lucifer to bring about the apocalypse as God willed it.
Do they mean to suggest that after all of that-- the entire history of the universe that had been leading to this, and everything in Chuck’s story-- that just moving John out of his timeline three years before the big showdown was scheduled to begin would leave all of Heaven and Hell shrugging like it hadn’t been their sole mission for years to set this up for the apocalypse?
That’s asinine, honestly.
I don’t think-- any more than Dean “choosing” not to sell Rocky’s bar was-- that the pearl wish was ever actually a “choice.” Because Chuck would’ve never tolerated any of it. He would not have allowed that choice to stand. He had too big of a story to tell.
Which is incredible to me now, because if that was the case, and even that pearl wish was a false choice-- one Sam and especially Dean could never allow to stand for their own reasons-- then the finale makes no possible sense unless viewed the exact same way. Everything that happened after Jack took Chuck’s power was still a function of Chuck’s hand in the narrative, just like the pearl, just like Rocky’s bar. Choosing to renew their commitment to playing the game, over and over again. And that’s just so depressing to me.
I still think this is the most important exchange in the entire episode:
Sam: Once we send Dad back... it's like none of this ever happened. He -- He just goes back to -- to... to being Dad. Dean: You saying you wish things would be different? Sam: Don't you? Can you imagine -- Dad in the past, knowing then what he knows now? I... I think it would be nice. Dean: Yeah. I used to think that, too. But, uh... I mean, look, we've been through some tough times. There's no denying that. And for the longest time, I blamed Dad. I mean, hell, I blamed Mom, too, you know? I was angry. But say we could send Dad back knowing everything. Why stop there? Why not send him even further back and let some other poor sons of bitches save the world? But here's the problem. Who does that make us? Would we be better off? Well, maybe. But I got to be honest -- I don't know who that Dean Winchester is. And I'm good with who I am. I'm good with who you are. 'Cause our lives -- they're ours. And maybe I'm just too damn old to want to change that.
Because yes, this is awesome! This is Dean finally accepting who he is, both because of the life he’s led AND despite it! He’s made his peace with himself, built a family of choice around him (in direct defiance of the “wife and kids” life John would’ve chosen for him and that he thought he wanted for years to please his father), and he’s happy with it, and with himself and the people he loves.
Only this is functionally no different than him refusing to sign the bill of sale on Rocky’s bar. This is Dean recommitting to his role in Chuck’s story. And at the same time he believes in this moment that this is him choosing his own life, really what he’s choosing is to return to the role in the story that Chuck had cast for him. And isn’t that horrifying? Does this not explain WHY he was so absolutely broken by everything that would come after, and especially by the revelation that he’d never really had a real choice in his life?
Chuck would go on to kill Mary, manipulate him into trying to kill Jack, leading to the breakdown of his relationship with Cas, and his own feelings of purposelessness that would drive the entire plot of s15. And then at the end, instead of being allowed to explore this new world of free will, for Cas to have been brought back one last time in defiance of the story Chuck had always intended for him, too, Dean succumbs completely to “destiny” and “fate” and had “no other choice” but to fulfill Chuck’s narrative at last. And I will never, ever be over that.
So my advice is to take 15.20 and crush it like Sam crushed the pearl. Because it’s just the culmination of Chuck’s false choices, and the antithesis of freedom from the narrative they should’ve had in the aftermath.

It still boggles my mind that this show really did this:
Without going into the hints they gave for Dean’s changed ending in the story (him wanting to settle down, get out of hunting) and the “technical” reasons why they didn’t have Cas or Jack present in the finale (or mentioned barely at all by other characters), or even the absurdity of both boys’ endings, here is why the finale was not “a beautiful moving tribute and wonderful end that a true Supernatural fan will appreciate.”
Show starts with a family of four turning into a family of three:
Tumblr media
John and the boys lose Mary to a fiery death caused by a demon, something that occurred in a roundabout way because of the deal Mary made with Azazel to bring John back
John raises the boys to be hunters while on his single-minded quest for vengeance; Dean becomes a mom and a dad to Sam, steps in Mary’s role emotionally for John at times while growing up
Show ends with a family of four turning into a family of three then to a family of two:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dean, Sam, and Jack lose Cas to The Empty, something that occurred in a roundabout way because of the action Dean took to wound Billie to protect Jack and Cas uses the deal he made with The Empty to save Dean from Billie
Jack becomes God and Dean and Sam are left to their own devices; Dean dies and Sam lives out his life and joins Dean in Heaven
Wouldn’t it have made more sense for it to come full circle in that the family the show ended with becomes whole once more, is solidified as a unit? Since the  Winchesters 1.0 were interrupted by supernatural events, as were the Winchesters 2.0. Wouldn’t it have made more sense for Dean and Sam to get the peace and happiness in the end that their kid selves and John & Mary never got? I mean...
Tumblr media
Why are there FOUR people in the car? And the Impala has always been home for Sam and Dean right? So, why...?
Dean and Sam both mirror John and Mary in their own ways but we already went through Sam losing Dean & choosing to move on (season 8), Dean losing Cas & acting similar to post-loss John though not going all out vengeful like he did (season 13), all of them losing Jack (season 14). So what was the purpose of repeating most, if not all, of these events in the final season for this family?
Yes okay, Dean chose to do differently in the end than John did in the beginning, but he also was supposed to get a different ending than John, not die on a milk run hunt, a hunt that was unfinished by John on the first hunt he worked with his boys that we saw on the screen. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Especially, when John and Mary are finally reunited and have a peaceful, happy ending themselves. Are they in Heaven? Sure. But that was right because they were part of the original Winchester 4 and they had earned it, and it was now Dean and Sam’s turn. They gave enough to John and Mary’s story (even when they were no longer in the show, the boys’ lives were still affected by these two and what their decisions brought about, even Heaven brought J&M together to ensure Dean and Sam came about, more of Chuck’s puppet work in the story) and now they deserved their own story, together and separately. 15 seasons may have centered around Dean and Sam, and showed us moments or snapshots from their lives, but don’t think for one second that it was purely their own story. They were still finishing up J&M’s story aka Chuck’s story. Chuck wasn’t the only one they needed freedom from. They deserved free will to break the narrative of J&M just as much as Chuck.
The fact that once they get that actual freedom and the free will to make their own decisions that they are actually punished for it and it’s written off as brilliance for showcasing how real life goes without Chuck’s puppetry is just downright senseless. And then the excuse of “well, they got 5 years at least” is just pure ridiculousness. From a story telling perspective, none of this makes sense in any way.
Full circle didn’t mean that Dean should lose his Mary and decide to do differently than John did (choosing to move on) and then die himself. Full circle didn’t mean that Sam should lose every member of his family (Dean, Cas, Jack) after losing his own Mary twice and be forced to live without them for the rest of his half-lived life. Full circle was the family together, Dean and Sam getting some semblance of a peaceful, happy ending. And that is why this ending feels so off, not just because of the way Dean died, or because Cas and Jack weren’t part of it, but it’s also because good endings have to be earned by the characters and these boys more than earned theirs. And just as importantly, it made sense and would have brought everything truly full circle.
I really hope they fix this major error with the reboot or continuation or limited series they’re planning on. Because for the life of me, Dean and Sam Winchester’s stories cannot end like that. It has to make sense. And right now, as it stands, there is not one lick of it anywhere.

Jack in the box
If I am doing this wrong or you don't want to be tagged in this post, please let me know and how to fix it. @metafest @letswarriorfangirl @amwritingmeta @emblue-sparks @angelneedshunter @verobatto-angelxhunter @magnificent-winged-beast @staycejo1
I needed to take a bit to get my thoughts more in order, I should have done that before I made that rambling post before. Anyway, there seemed to be a few themes in this episode-  One is about the similarities and differences in the characters, and how they are destined to repeat history because of it.
For example, Dean is just as prone as Jack to reaching a point of emotional meltdown and saying/doing things when he is angry, afraid or hurt that he shouldn’t and that hurt the people he loves, the only difference is that Dean isn’t a two year old and teenager at the same time, the two stages in a person’s life when they have very limited self-control, and Dean doesn’t have Jack’s powers. If Dean was as powerful as Jack, he would have destroyed the universe long ago in one of his meltdowns.
The parallel between Dean and Duma is obvious, so I won’t go over that one. But there is also a parallel between Dean and John. The first time Mary was killed, John basically did the same thing Dean is doing now- he went looking for revenge on Azazel and was so blinded by it that he couldn’t see he was basically doing to his kids and Dean hasn’t seen how he is following the same path as John. John basically locked Sam and Dean in a metal box (though Baby is a much nicer metal box) or in cells in the form of hotel rooms alone where they had very limited exposure to other people and had very little reference for normal human behavior and healthier ways to deal with things, and expected them to behave like adults when they were just children. He didn’t accept that they were kids who would make mistakes, he always expected them to follow orders, behave as adults and it put an incredible amount of pressure on them, especially Dean. He basically set Dean up to feel like mistakes were unforgivable and accidents should be harshly punished, except when Sam made them, and even then, Dean may not have wanted to kill Sam, but he did lock him in a metal cell (a much bigger, more comfortable one, but still a cell) and when he let him out, he spent months reminding him over and over again of his mistake and making him feel like crap about it. Also Dean looked up to John and wanted his approval so much that he let himself be manipulated, he accepted blame and guilt for things that should never have been put on him (he should not have been left to protect Sam from a monster when he wasn’t even ten years old yet) and was willing to do anything John said to get his approval, and he never felt like he got it.
Jack has been shown doing all sorts of things to indicate that he wants Dean’s approval, he sees him as a father (he asked to go fishing because he said Dean told him about fishing with his father, and he mimicked Dean all the time) and at the moment, it looks like he may not get Dean’s approval. He wants so badly to meet these expectations that shouldn’t be put on him because he is essentially a toddler, and as we have seen, having all the pressure of those expectations proved to be too much. I don’t think that Jack killed Mary out of wrath, he never wanted her to die, he was just in a panic and having a meltdown because of the overwhelming fear of falling short of Dean’s expectations when Dean found out. I don’t think he ever wanted to hurt her, he had an emotional meltdown normal for anyone as young and under as much pressure as Jack has been, and unfortunately when he has a meltdown it’s like an atom bomb going off, and Mary was just in the blast radius.
I just read a fic on Tumblr that pointed out that someone with glowing yellow eyes was responsible for Mary’s death both times, and both times she died trying to protect a child, but that is where the similarities ended. Azazel was a centuries old Demon, intent on malice who consciously chose to kill her in a painful, slow way and she stayed in that house as a ghost, unable to move on. Jack killed her by accident, he never wanted to hurt her, he didn’t plan on it, he loved her, and her death was instant, and she did go straight to heaven. Dean may subconsciously be seeing the parallel of Azazel and Jack both killing her, driving his urge to kill Jack in revenge, but not seeing any distinction beyond that, not caring that it was an accident made by someone who lacked the maturity, experience and self-control. All he can see is that he lost her again and he is hurting.
Sam on the other hand, is like Jack in that he was different from his family and everyone he knew, first in that he was highly intelligent and didn’t want to be a hunter, and then later when he learned about what Azazel did to him when he was a baby. He felt trapped by his family and expectations and he was desperate to get out of the metaphorical Malak box he was in, and he also found a way to escape. And we have seen him relate and sympathize with others who know they are different and have the expectations of others pushed on them but want to not be what the world sees them as. He even told Jack that he understood how he felt because he was in a similar situation growing up, this was why he was Jack’s ‘go to man’. He can also relate to having Lucifer be way too interested in him.
Sam also parallels Dean in this episode in that he cares deeply about Jack, he has been trying since Jack’s birth to be there for him and try to give him at least some normalcy in any way he could, he protected him and stood between Dean and Jack in the beginning when Jack hadn’t even done anything yet and Dean wanted to kill him just for existing. After Jack killed Mary, he still wants to help and protect Jack, but he finds himself in the same position Dean was in when they were growing up that Dean mentioned in Prophet and Loss when he said he knew that it seemed like he took John’s side a lot growing up, but he was just trying to keep the peace. Sam caved and went along with this scheme of Dean’s even though he hated it, the same way Dean backed John up when they were kids a lot of the time.
Dean does have a history of deceit and manipulation prior to this episode, mostly with Sam, and I think Sam remembers how Dean manipulated him in the past to say yes to Gadreel and essentially forced him to take his soul back regardless of what Sam want. He took away Sam’s free will. Dean also has a history of being a hypocrite, saying free will is all important, until it means he might lose someone, and then it’s negotiable. Sam knew this about Dean, Dean has done very similar things to Sam in the past, but when Dean asks him to help do the same to Jack, he goes along with it, allows Dean to manipulate him into taking part and in turn manipulate Jack, probably in the same manner that John would use Dean and Sam’s trust in Dean to get Sam to do what John wanted.  Sam is basically stuck in the middle.
Jack parallels Sam in that he trusted Dean and Sam and allowed them to lock him in the box the way Sam allowed Dean and Bobby to lock him in the panic room, and later when he trusted Dean and Dean tricked him into saying yes to Gadreel. He wants Dean’s approval the way Sam does, and he trusts Sam and Dean to the point that he allows them to manipulate him. There is a metaphorical similarity also in the way Sam escaped John, Dean, and the prison of his life by getting out and going to Stanford, the way that Jack escaped the prison that Dean and Sam locked him in.
There is even a parallel between Jack and Chuck, and kind of between Dean and Chuck. The things that Jack did to the professor, televangelist and pastor were all acts from the Old Testament, reminding us that God/Chuck didn’t always write books in his underwear and wasn’t always as mellow and forgiving as he is now, and more prone to making rash decisions and punishing people a lot more harshly. Even Chuck/God was prone to immaturity and lashing out when he was young, but he learned from it and got better. Hell, he flooded the entire earth once because he didn’t like the way people were becoming, and he burned an entire city to the ground and turned a woman to salt, *just because she looked over her damn shoulder*.
The other theme is about blame, assigning blame and forgiveness. One of the first things Duma said to Jack that made him so easy to manipulate was, “It’s not your fault.” Dean challenged both Cas and Jack by asking “So this was her/our fault?!” Because Dean needs it to be someone’s fault, he needs someone to blame. If he can feel like someone is at fault, he can take action and feel justified in it. Not that he felt it was Mary’s or their fault, he just wants someone else to say it was, someone he already blames/blamed. Last episode he was convinced it was Cas’s fault.
Another pattern is being so desperate for absolution and forgiveness so badly that you are willing to blindly trust people when you shouldn’t, the way Jack is so easily swayed by Duma just because she said it wasn’t his fault. When he met her before, it wasn’t actually her, it was the Shadow, trying to take him away to the Empty and making that horrible deal with Cas. All of his experience with her outward appearance should have been enough to make him distrust her. We see it again later when he goes into the church and promises the congregation that he will take them to heaven and make them angels and they just blindly follow him. He might as well have been a stranger in a van offering them candy. Along that same theme, there is the way the people who show doubt or question are treated. Even though Chuck said it was okay not to believe in him because he included free will in the kit, Duma convinced Jack that it was right to punish the atheist professor by turning him to salt, and Jack later tortured the pastor for questioning him. I believe that the reason Chuck included free will in the kit was that he learned with Adam and Eve that a little bit of skepticism is a good thing, otherwise they wouldn’t have been so easily tricked by Lucifer in the Garden.
Last of all, not a theme of the episode, but did Bobby seem weird to anyone else? I can’t decide if it was just weird writing, or intentional because he is the AU Bobby who doesn’t have the same history with Sam and Dean as our Bobby, or intentional to indicate something else. For one thing, he never called either Sam or Dean, or even Jack by their names. He called them ‘You boys’ and called Dean ‘the other one’, and Jack was just ‘the kid’. Maybe you could chalk that up to being because he is the AU Bobby who didn’t practically raise Sam and Dean, but the way he was talking about hunting down and killing Jack seemed very strange to me. Even as the AU Bobby, he seemed to take the other AU hunters and survivors under his wing and see them in the same way our version of Bobby saw Sam and Dean. He was angry with Sam when he felt like Sam sent Maggie and possibly other hunters out on missions alone before they were ready. He had a son of his own that he lost. Previous appearances of AU Bobby seemed to indicate that he shared our Bobby’s strong parenting instincts and our Bobby wouldn’t shoot Sam when he was trying to kill Bobby, or when Sam escaped from the panic room and was going to leave, he managed to over ride a demon and stab himself, putting himself in a wheelchair, to keep from hurting Dean. And he told Sam that he would never have written him off and cut him out of his life like that, it was the demon talking. He was helping to train Jack the way our Bobby trained Sam and Dean. All of this and all that we know about Bobby just doesn’t fit with Bobby being able to just turn on Jack like that and say he wants to kill him without any qualms. Everything about his behavior in this episode just seemed off, and he was only there for a few minutes and then he was gone, almost as if he was there just to plant the seeds in Dean and Sam’s heads that something drastic had to be done about Jack and lend validation to whatever horrible thing they came up with.
With all the mentions of Chuck in the more recent episodes makes me feel pretty sure he will appear in the next one. I don’t want him to simply snap his fingers and fix everything, though I do want him to fix Jack’s soul, but I think he needs to sit Dean and Sam down and have a serious discussion with them about forgiveness and Good Parenting. I mean, who would know better than Chuck from experience about making rash decisions and expecting too much and all the other crap that Dean especially has pulled, as well as parental guilt.

It’s so nice to reread the series and come across this cover again, because I always wondered if the layout of Mephy’s little pawns on his right hand was meaningful or just random/for the aesthetic.
However seeing the current arc, I’m almost sure that this was drawn like this on purpose, which makes it even better!
Look, look, first of all you’ve got Rin and Yukio facing each other and this could really be depicting how Yukio just left his brother and the Order to join the Illuminati, as well as the on-going conflict (mostly from Yukio’s perspective) that led to this decision.
Tumblr media
Mephy was totally expecting such an event after all, he even deliberately worked for it, finally pushing Yukio to his limits in ch94.
Tumblr media
However, as it is, Rin remains on the Order (or more simply remains Mephy’s trump card) while Yukio moved on to join Lucifer and the Illuminati.
Then Shiemi and Amaimon: starting with Shiemi on the cover of ch44, she’s on “Rin’s side”, as if supporting him, and then again it makes sense for several reasons.
Shiemi is the one (with Suguro) who warned Rin that something was really wrong with Yukio in the current arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In fact, she used to be closer to Yukio (knowing him for a longer time and all), but his inner conflict ever since the Kyoto arc led him to slowly get estranged from her while Rin grew closer to Shiemi instead.
This leads to why the current blossoming romance is Rin/Shiemi and not Yukio/Shiemi, despite Yukio and Shiemi having better odds at the beginning of the series (I want to expand on that but in another post about shipping in AnE in general once I’ve reread the whole series).
Another reason to “Shiemi being on Rin’s side” could be her own part of the current arc, since...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
after finally admitting that she’s got feelings for him (and not Yukio, sorry my boy, long ago I was vouching for you guys), she’s taken by the Vatican for a matter that’s most likely related to Shemihaza.
So Shiemi is in love with Rin and also remains on the Order’s side, even if this is probably not as willingly as it appeared to be in ch99.2.
In fact, since she chose to drop becoming an exorcist after the talk with her mom and despite her initial wishes, it’s pretty clear that her character’s arc will have to address what she really wants for her future and, since we’ve established in different parts of the story that a part of the Order is rotten anyway, this will probably be related.
This is where Amaimon jumps in and again, the current arc might explain why he’s lurking behind Shiemi on the cover of ch44. Yeah, sure, Shiemi was his bride that he chose randomly to force Rin to attack him in an early arc, but lately...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it doesn’t seem to be such a random narrative (or related to Rin/Shiemi) choice after all.
The “Shiemi has a link to Shemihaza” theories have been going strong for a while now, with Shemihaza who was described to be “the emperor of creation”
Tumblr media
while Amaimon is a Baal, but more precisely the King of Earth.
However, while Shemihaza was said to be a part of the Order along with Armumahel and Azazel, Amaimon considered himself to be neutral, probably only being involved so far in Mephy’s schemes because he owes his current vessel to Mephy.
And yet, this scene happened...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...which is giving me the feeling that either Shemihaza and Amaimon have a significant history or that Amaimon is pissed because maybe he shouldn’t have taken Shiemi in particular as his “bride” (I’d rather believe in the former though).
Nonetheless, I think we can safely expect Amaimon to be involved in Shiemi’s personal arc, whatever the reason for his outburst and anger was, and since both are related to Nature, I’m also wondering if we might not finally get another mention of the Garden of Amahara (maybe it was created by Amaimon and Shemihaza?). :))
Moving on, that leaves only Shura’s pawn on the cover of ch44, who’s in an interesting position since she’s backing up Yukio but at the same time facing Mephy. No surprise but there again, I think it’s related to the current arc.
First of all Mephy and Shura have this weird dynamic: she doesn’t trust him at all, but she plays by his rules when she knows it can’t be helped and he’s been edging her on down the road of becoming the #1 caretaker of the Okumura twins since 5ever. Please observe the development between ch34 and ch81:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What Mephy also did is that he made sure that the twins would be the ones who would solve the matter with Hachiro, which also helped Shura with moving on from Shiro...
Tumblr media
...and which led to her saying something super important as a conclusion to her arc:
Tumblr media
The reason it’s super relevant and interesting (and also the reason I believe it’s related to her position on the cover of ch44) is that Shura is also one of the few who can get Yukio to be 100% honest.
Sure, that led to them bickering all the time and Yukio saying that he always hated her, buuuut thanks to the Aomori arc, we know that’s far from being true.
Anyway, personally I had forgotten, but actually there was a time in AnE where Yukio was not full of angst (until he meets Todo), or so you could think because the truth is that he was just better at hiding everything behind his smiles, but anyway it never fooled Shura then...
Tumblr media
and it’s still not fooling her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, now that Yukio completely broke down about everything...
Tumblr media
...maybe Mephisto will give her an opportunity to go after him, or she’ll simply choose to go by herself. For now all she knows is that he escaped, she doesn’t know about the Illuminati yet, but when she finds out... she might just drop the Order (since she said she didn’t care) and chase after him, especially since the Illuminati also took what was left of Hachiro.
So she wouldn’t be on neither the Order’s side or the Illuminati’s: she’s on the twins’ side and she’s facing Mephy on the cover of ch44 because she knows he planned it all out and now she may have to go and try bringing Yukio back (whether Mephy offers his help/an opportunity or not though, we’ll see).
There you go! It’s all adding up, and obviously since it’s Mephy’s plan xD but I’m so happy Sensei went as far as to possibly plan it all out and leave little clues such as the cover of ch44. I just can’t wait to find out more. :D
Sorry for the long post, it’s really a blast to reread the series!

My top 3 most powerful Supernatrual scenes
So, I got the idea to write this thanks to a friendly chat on this site, but there are some super incredible scenes in Supernatural. There are a lot that come to mind when I think of different things, almost all of Yellow Feaver and Clap if you believe when I think about comedy; a list of episodes when I think of loss, and a even a few when I think of the characters being happy. But there are also some I think of when I just think of power or impact, so my top three list!
Number 3: Dean talking to Sam about closing the gates of Hell/ the angels fall
That moment where Dean is begging Sam not to finish the last trial to close the gates of Hell. Dean has learned that if Sam finishes this trial he will die. The moment Dean learns that he rushes to Sam because he can’t live without Sam. Their whole lives they have only had each other, neither even really met other hunters until they’re dad died.
Sam for his part sees this as his responsibility. Sam wants to go through with it because he can’t let people get hurt but more importantly he believes if he doesn’t finish this, he will let Dean down again. Sam genuinely believes he has let Dean down so much, the fact he chose Ruby over Dean, the fact he left Dean in Purgatory for a year because he didn’t look for him, to Sam it is all just him letting down Dean over and over again. Sam sees Dean’s relationships in that season as Dean replacing him with people he can ‘trust’ and he can’t bare to see that happen again.
And Dean realizes Sam believes he hates him, that Sam believes he truly let Dean down and isn’t important to him and he knows if he can’t make Sam understand how important he is, he is going to lose Sam for good. Sam is the most important thing in Dean’s life, someone he has killed one of his best friends he ever had over just to ensure Sam made it back safely. And Sam actually caves, understanding and Dean begs him to let it all go, an Sam does. And there's that moment of relief on their faces, they succeeded and no one is about to die.
Then shit hits the fan. Sam goes down as his body starts to fall apart and Dean is terrified. He doesn’t know what to do, and the only thing he can think of is getting them out and getting Sam to some help and as he gets Sam outside he sees all the angels falling, he knows they lost and Cas was tricked, and the worst possible outcome they imagined has just happened. Earth is about to be filled was confused and powerful angles and Sam is in his arms dying and he has no one to turn to because as Sam put it ‘all your friends are dead Dean’, except for Cas who for all Dean knows in this moment could be dead.
Number 2: Fare thee well
I really like this scene because we have two stages to start. We have Dean who is sitting with Sam and he’s realizing that he is the only person that is going to make it out. He sees Sam dying in his arms again, he hears the people in the next room dying, and he knows everyone outside is already dead and gone. Just a few minutes ago he was told he will be the only survivor and now, he understands that. At this point Dean is at his all time low. He knows there is nothing he can do and he’s about to lose everything. At the same time Metatron has finally spoken his peace to God/Chuck. Chuck tells him to read his manuscript, that he’s going to like it as he picks up the guitar and begins to sing.
So we Metatron, whose hope is rising, believing he had an impact to his ‘father’ and friend, that he believes maybe he made a difference, that Chuck is going to save them from Amara and come back to them. His hopes had building this whole time with Chuck beginning to take an interest, to stop hiding and truly show himself.
Then Chuck starts singing, and it’s not some big raging song, but a farewell balled. And as the song goes you see two very different reactions. Dean sees Sam’s pocket start to glow with an amulet that shouldn’t be there, and the boys know what that means. God, a man who they gave up all hope in, was there. And Sam is suddenly healed, and so are the people in the building. And Sam and Dean are trying to process and understand because now people aren’t dying and the amulet is telling them God is there. And they start to go outside, seeing these people who were dead or dying getting up and you can see hope building in the boys.
Meanwhile Metatron is reading the manuscript and you see the hope fall away. Now we as the watchers during the first watch didn’t know what it said, but judging from the situation, the song, and what we know about Chuck in that moment, we can figure it out. This is Chuck saying good bye. He doesn’t plan to make it through this fight, something that paralleled John on his life quest. He wasn’t planning to survive the confrontation with Azazel. So we as the viewers are seeing this stark contrast in the reactions to God’s big return. To the humans he is bringing hope, but to those who know that this is his suicide mission, it brings despair.
And then Sam and Dean see Chuck among the people. Chuck, a man who they were sure was dead because there can’t be two profits at once and we’ve already meet two more since Chuck so surly he is dead. But he’s not, he’s standing in front of them and the amulet is telling them that this guy who they knew as a drunk who wrote shitty paperback books in his underwear is God, and holy shit is he powerful because he just saved and revived and entire town like it was nothing. And he just turns to these two lost and confused boys, boys that up to this point have seen their life so small that there is no way someone like God would even notice they existed, but no God has been writing books about them for years and he just walks up to them saying they need to talk and you can just see the two boys standing there trying to understand what is going on.
1. Dean facing Lucifer and Michael
To me, this is the MOST powerful scene in Supernatural, which makes sense because it was originally supposed to be on of the last. So we have Dean, who at this point has seen everyone, his father figure, his best friend and guardian angel, give up hope. They have all made it clear that there is nothing else that can be done, the world is lost. And Dean has just lost his brothers to these crazy angel that are about to torch the world but Dean isn’t ready to take it lying down. He’s not stupid or crazy enough to believe he actually has a chance to defeat two of the most powerful beings in the world, especially at once, but it isn’t in Dean’s nature to just give up, and worst comes to worst then his brothers aren’t going to go through this alone, because he’s going to be there.
And you got Sam who is trapped inside his own body. He had taken a major gamble, giving Lucifer his body on the chance he could cage him, but Lucifer overpowered him an it didn’t work. And he’s trapped with Lucifer, who is throwing a tantrum, slightly justified but still not necessary to wipe out the world because Daddy put you in time out for a few millennia.
And you have Adam, who until not long ago had no idea any of this existed and to make matters worse he was even dead and at peace until the angels tried to use him as bait for an older brother he had known nothing about. And now, because that brother wouldn’t ‘play his part’ he’s being forced to do it for a man who believes that he is doing the right thing and has the self-righteous attitude to back it up.
So Michael and Lucifer show up on the battlefield, and Sam and Adam can only watch knowing what is about to happen but knowing there is nothing they can do about it, and these two sets of brothers do truly love each other but they have their reasons for being there and the only way out is a fight that is going to destroy half the world and two of them that are standing there. They both express regret, how they don’t want to do this, but they both feel like it is the right thing to do.
And then you just hear ‘Rock of Ages’ blare along with the Impala’s engine. The sound of that engine, especially for Sam and some of the fans has been associated with the cavalry, that everything is going to be fine and work out some how because the boys are all there and they can make it through anything. And the song that Dean played (on a cassett mind you because by this point people stopped selling cassets but I have a whole thing about how Dean represents the old way of hunting, the traditional ideas of hunters but I’m going to spare you that) demonstrates what is Dean in this moment, announcing that he has arrived and is not just going to leave. And Dean drives up to what is about to be an archangel smack down, unarmed and without any form of back up or help. He’s just a normal freaking person who both of these archangels are mildly annoyed with for his defiance and refusal to do as they wanted and he just get’s out of the car like it’s nothing. Like these two beings couldn’t just cease his existence with a snap of their fingers with that cocky grin on his face and they know he shouldn’t be there, that this is the dumbest thing either of them can fathom a lowly human doing and Dean just casually get’s out like ‘Howdy boys. Am I interrupting something?”

Caged
Request : ah okay so could I have a one shot Winchester Sister Reader x Sam Winchester where the Reader is really shy & anxious and her brothers are super protective of their baby sister & and she is like very loyal and she goes with Sam & Rowena & Crowley to hell to make a deal with Lucifer & her and Sam get trapped in the cage with Lucifer & he taunts them & like Sam gets really protective of the Reader during their encounter with Lucifer? Castiel saves them with Dean? lots of angst & fluff.
A/N: OKay, so I have no idea who requested this, but it was on my document, so here it is (also I am proud of it!)
Tumblr media
As the little sister of the Winchester’s, you were always there to support your brothers, even in the worst moments. You felt like it was the least you could do because they always act protective and saved your life more than one hundred times.
Sam always told you about his visions, you got scared at first, because Azazel came back in your mind. Though, Sam assured you, he even thinks that God is sending him some visions. As crazy as it seems, you decided to trust him and help him out with this trouble.
“Dean, doesn’t it makes sense? I mean, Lucifer would know how God ended the Darkness. He was there” Sam said.
You have been listening to Sam and Dean arguing over and over about Sam’s idea. He thinks that talking to Lucifer could help to get rid of the darkness.
Dean only shakes his head to Sam and walks away with his bottle of whiskey and the glass. You move to sit beside Sam who is looking depressed, a state you hate to see your brothers in.
“I’ll help you” you said “I think that we need to do something and I am not letting you do anything alone”.
“What?” Sam looks up at you surprise “(Y/N), I don’t want you to get in danger”.
“Oh, spare me, our whole life is danger okay? I want to help you”.
“I know” he put a hand on your shoulder “kiddo, thanks”
You smile up at him.
……………………………..
The three of you met up with Crowley under a bridge near a place where homeless people live. As soon as you arrived there, your two bodyguards stood each side of you.
After explaining everything to Crowley about what Sam thinks about his visions, his reaction had to be there.
“So, God assured you of this, did he?” He asked Sam “I’d say you’re making this up but I never think of you as imaginative”.
“We’re not saying it’s going to happen” Dean cleared up “we just want to know…”
“Theoretically…” Sam added in a small voice.
“If it’s possible”.
“The cage is a can of worms you do not want to open. I believe this conversation is over”.
Crowley lifts up his hand, ready to snap his finger, but you stop him.
“Wait, Crowley, you know that the Darkness is going to kill everyone and everything. You are not that special to be spared”.
“Yeah” Sam backs you up “and you had a shot at taking her out when she was with you, but apparently, you thought that sucking up was the way to go”.
“And that didn’t end well” Dean added.
“Because she chose you” Crowley said to Dean “and you couldn’t control your girlfriend. What happened in that room? Why did she insist on sparing you?”
You and Sam both turn your head towards Dean, a questioning look on your faces. What is Crowley talking about?
“What is she to you?” Crowley asked seeing Dean not answering.
“Wanna know what she is Crowley?” Dean snapped “how about God’s sister!”
“God’s sister? He has relatives? I had that kind of leverage under my thumb and I let it slip away”.
“Can we focus on the big picture here, okay?” Dean asked “can Sam meet with Lucifer or not?”
“In the cage” Sam added.
“No, not in the cage. That’s not going to happen”.
“Okay, then I don’t meet Lucifer. Dean, we can’t let him out”.
You bite your lip, a bad idea coming up into your mind.
“What?” Dean asked Crowley who is staring at him.
“There may be a way. Cleary, if Sam enters the cage, he’s gone. And yes, it’s on my bucket list, now is not the time to be selfish. Need a secure site, a way to neutralise Lucifer’s powers”.
“In hell?” You asked.
“Yes, in hell!” He shouted like it was obvious “so we have a modicum of control. You think I want that abomination running amuck upstairs?”
“Is it possible to control the situation? Because I Sam’s not safe, it’s not happening” Dean said in his overprotective voice.
“Goodness mummy” Crowley rolled his eyes “Of course I don’t have a key. The mechanisms of divine manufacturer, I believe its secrets, along with spells for warding Sam were recorded where many such mysteries are found: the Book of the Damned”.
That was good enough for you. You and the boys had faced so much, and the trust you have on them is so strong. You had fate that this was going to work… it has too.
……………………..
The plan was all set up, Crowley was in charge to get his mother up so you could talk to her. Well, more Sam and Dean, because they never let you do the talking.
You and your brothers wait outside the ‘Kings’ room. You still laugh at the fact the he has his own thrown.
Sam taps your shoulder, bringing you out of your mind, he indicates the door leading you inside. As you walk in, you see Rowena, stood up in front of Crowley, cuffed.
“Oh” she sighs looking back at her son “you’re not handing me over to them?”
She looks back you three, with a disgusted look, but you can’t help to laugh to yourself.
“It’s beneath even you” she continued “they’re your enemies as well”.
“All right Rowena” Dean said taking a step forward “we get it. We all enemies, okay. But right now we’ve got bigger fish to fry. Then we can go back to killing each other”.
After some talk, she finally accepts to hear you out about the plan. She was very surprise to know that God has a sister, but hell, everyone was. Even you, after everything you saw and lived, not a lot of things surprises you.
…………….
Even after Dean told you two to not move, and continue with the research with Rowena in the bunkers dungeon, you two didn’t listen.
Sam had tried to call Dean, but he did not answer, and Rowena kept urging the situation.
By Sam’s side, you walk in the hallways of Hell. The first time you go down there, Sam and Dean both died and went to Hell, excepted you. You never died, you only saw them, but it was worse than dying.
“You sure about this?” Sam whispered to you “you could wait it out, it’s-“
“No, Sam” you cut him off with a confident smile “there is no turning back, and I told you, I’m with you on this one”.
He nods squeezing your shoulder.
You, your big brother, the witch and the King of Hell arrive at the cage. Not what you thought it was going to be. You cannot even see Lucifer in it. It is only a dark place with thunder, only torches lighting up the place.
You stay beside Sam as he talks to Crowley, but you do not listen to them. You start to get more and more anxious about all this, a bad feeling down in your guts.
You look up at your brother, feeling at little better to know that he is here.
“Let’s just hope she knows what she’s doing” Sam said “this cell won’t hold crap if the warding is not right”.
“Don’t worry about me, Samuel” Rowena said walking past you head high “I’m a professional”.
You take a deep breath, scared of what is going to happen, only imagining the worst.
Rowena goes behind you, Sam and Crowley, reciting the words. A square of fire starts all around the cage.
“Now… let’s have a go at that cage” Rowena says.
The stress goes higher and higher, your breath getting stuck in your throat. You reach your hand to your brother’s sleeve, gripping it as if you were five years old again. Though, seeing his face, it was also to help him too.
“It begins” Crowley said.
You bite you’re inner cheeks,  watching as the thunder goes crazy, the fire going up, building walls.  In the flames, if you focus enough, you can see dark, but yet fiery red eyes.
Sam grabs your arm, pulling you away with him out of the way. Enough so that Lucifer won’t see you first, but see Crowley and Rowena.
Crowley and Lucifer discuss a few words, before Sam leaves you there and walks to the others. You anxiously watch them, ready to jump out any time.
“Sam Winchester” Lucifer whispers as he sees him “my old roomie. Hug it out? I gotta say, I’m a little in the dark about this meeting. Am I up for parole? Time off for bad behavior?”
Lucifer chuckles, giving you the chills. And you know that for Sam it must be one hundred times worst, since he is standing in front the devil.
“I don’t really get visitors”.
“If it weren’t for the crisis top-side, you wouldn’t be getting one now” Sam finally says.
“Crisis?” Lucifer asked, intrigued.
“You’re aware of the Darkness?”
Lucifer breaths in “yikes, that doesn’t sound good. Um, I’m aware of what she was, but that was eons ago”.
“She’s been released. So now she’s somewhere on earth”.
“How did that happen?”
“The point is” Sam ignores him “she poses a threat to all that exits, including you”.
They discus about the Darkness, while you just stand in the dark, watching. But, as Lucifer speaks and walks to the other end of his cage, his eyes meets yours, freezing you in place.
However, he keeps his discussion with Sam, ignoring you. As you watch, you suddenly see the warding fading, the fire disappearing. You run up to your brother, fearing what was next.
“Finally, little Winchester shows herself” Lucifer smiled.
Sam pushes you behind you, keeping an arm around you, but this arm is what brings you in danger. You and Sam are suddenly in the caged, with the devil.
“Together again” Lucifer smiled eyeing the both of you “with a little bonus!”
Sam pushes you in the corner, almost hoping you could pass through the bars.
“Hey, Sam Winchester, you miss me? I bet you did. I have to say, you’re… you’re extraordinarily calm, given the circumstances. Not like little (Y/N)”.
Even though you are trying hard to hide your fear, your hard breathing and shaking hand kills it all.
“It’s pretty much exactly how God told me it was gonna be” Sam said, confident, hiding his fear “guess I just have to go with it and play my hand”.
“Well, that would make so much sense if it was God that was doing the talking. You see Sam, when the Darkness descended the impact on Hell was massive. The Cage was damaged. Through the fissures I was able to reach out. It wasn’t God inside your head Sam. It was me”.
You heart falls down to your stomach, feeling like you could hurl at any seconds now. All this time you had faith, believing what your brother believed, and it was a trap?
“So you see, he’s not with you. He’s never been with you. It was always… just… me. So, I… I guess I am your only hope”.
You remember the discussion, Lucifer wanting him as his vessel, again. Flashbacks of Sam possessed at the apocalypse comes back to your mind, scaring you even more that everything replays.
“It’s never going to happen” Sam spat.
“Ah, well, settle in there buddy. Hey, roomie… upper bunk? Lower bunk? Or you wanna share? Gotta let the lady have a place, now”.
…………………
You do not know how much time it has been since you and Sam got stuck in the cage. The both of you are seated in the corner, Sam still in front of you, protecting you for Lucifer.
You block out everything he says, knowing how hurtful it would be. Instead, you keep your hopes up to get out. You know Rowena and Crowley will get Dean and find a way for you to get out.
“Hey! Little Winchester! We haven’t had a chat yet!”
“Leave her alone” Sam growled.
“Oh, come on Sammy. I wanna have a little chat with her, never had a chance to get to know each other. She has two overprotective body guards with her”.
“I can protect myself on my own” you said, your fist tight.
“Well, let’s see that… I have a plan that could get the Darkness down, but I need your brother. So…. Here is plan B”.
He pushes you down on the floor, and hits Sam square in the face, sending him next to you on the ground.
“I think that the good old methods are always the best”.
Lucifer grabs you by your coat and hits you, over and over again. Each hit being stronger and stronger, making you feel numb at the end. He finally pushes you back to the ground, you spit out blood pain invading your body.
“Sam! (Y/N)!”
Dean. You’re Dean. You knew he would come and get you. He is batman, and batman always win.
“Welcome to the party”.
You look up, seeing Cass and Dean standing in the cage, both of them eying you and Sam.
Sam grabs you, himself struggling with pain. He checks you out quickly helping you in a sitting position.
Your eyes are glued on your eldest brother, feeling a heavy weight getting off your shoulders when you hear him say ‘not even a little’ to Lucifer, who asked him if he was scared. Obviously, Dean being Dean is not scared.
Castiel takes out his angel blade and attacks Lucifer, fighting him while Dean comes to you. He holds both of you up, checking your injuries.
“We can’t win” Sam said.
“We don’t have to win. We’ve just got to last a few minutes”.
Dean passes a hand in your hair, he smiles and tells you to sit tight, and not move an inch, that he was going to protect you.
Sam and Dean get up and join the fight, helping Castiel. You just sit there, feeling like a weak little child who cannot fight, but you can. The trigger comes when Sam and Castiel are both on the ground, Dean being held by his throat, threatening to kill him.
You stand up and jump on him, fighting him off with all the energy you can get in those punches. Though, Lucifer manages to get you once again to the ground, beating you up with more pain.
Though, suddenly it goes away, you see Castiel dragging him away, Lucifer being changed by Dean’s worried face.
It does not last long, a white bright light blinds the darkness and you are out of the cage, Dean holding you up.

Infinity’s Descendants
“Zaz and the Camorra Pt. 1”
« Celeste, Je suis revenue. Ou es-tu! »Azazelle asked as she entered the estate. « Cele, ou es-tu? » Celeste didn’t respond and The younger sister knew just where to go. « Mon Dieu. Elle prend plus de bains qu'un bébé oiseau. » Zaz mumbled as she ascended the stairs. When Azazelle entered Celeste’s head was rested on back of the tub and she was holding a flute of champagne with a couple of raspberries in it. “Ah Zaz, you are back. Have you quenched your thirst?” she asked with her eyes still closed. “I have sister but there is something I need to tell you”. Her little sister’s voice told her everything she needed to know before she even opened her eyes. Her confirmation was the sight of Azazelle standing before her with ripped garments and literal blood on her hands. Celeste downed the remaining champagne in the flute and got out of the tub. “Celeste please do not get upset with me. I can explain everything” Azazelle’s voice and eyes were apologetic but that didn’t matter.
Celeste didn’t even bother to grab a towel she just started in on her little sister “I pleaded with you! Azazelle I begged you! Do not succumb to your thirst is what I said and you gave me your word! How could you do this to us?!” Celeste began pacing back and forth “Why must you constantly push the agenda? Why do you always have to have more!? I am trying my best to look after you and you-”“Look after me?” Azazelle interjected. “I do not need you to look after me! I never asked you for any of this Cele and lest we not forget that YOU left me!” That sentence hit Celeste like a sack of stone and mortar. “You would not believe the things I have been through even if I told you, so don’t you dare try to question my actions and motives. I have absolutely no reason to lie about any of this yet you still do not believe me!” Celeste walked over to her sister and grabbed her hand “Azazelle I want to believe you I truly do but your actions have spoken much louder than your words. Will you allow me to see for myself?” Celeste asked, allowing her anger to subside and her matriarchal nature comeback to the forefront. “And just how would you do that?” replied Azazelle. Celeste began to lift Azazelle’s wrist, when she bore her fangs Azazelle snatched away from her. “What the hell is wrong with you! I am trying to explain something to you and you are trying to feed from me. Am I some sort of joke to you?” “No, Zaz. That is not the case, I have-“

*ahem* Cassius cleared his throat interrupting the sisterly quarrel. “That is enough ladies” Cassius tossed Celeste a towel. “Both of you get dressed and meet me in the sitting room”

The sisters made it to the sitting room before Cassius. They sat in silence awaiting him.  Finally Celeste looked at her little sister and sighed. “Azazelle, I am sorry. I should have reacted differently. It’s just that things have...” Cassius walked in as Celeste was talking to her sister. She glanced at her sister then back at Cassius. She felt it would be better if Cassius heard the news from her rather than Azazelle. “Cassius, Azazelle and I have some things we need to share with you” she said. “Does it have something to do with Azazelle leaving the estate?” he asked. His reply surprised both sisters. “Yes” Celeste said cautiously. “I am already aware of the fact Azazelle was away from the estate. What I am unsure of, however, is what your involvement in the matter is” He was clearly upset but that was nothing new. It was quite easy to upset Cassius and Celeste had found it best to tell him the truth whether he liked it or not. She might as well get it over with so they could begin to move past it she thought to herself before speaking. “It was I who let Azazelle out. She is my sister and she was starving” “Very well then. The truth of the matter is none of that is of any importance now.” This was another response that surprised both sisters. Cassius continued to speak. “Azazelle you are to attend a disciplinary hearing tomorrow night.” “Disciplinary hearing? What for?” Asked Celeste. “I was not done speaking celeste.” he said frankly., his response letting Celeste know she was not off the hook for her actions. “Those three men that you killed tonight” he said looking at Azazelle. “What of them?” she replied. “They were members of the Angeli Oscuri. I am quite sure neither of you know who they are or what that means so allow me to enlighten you. The Angeli Oscuri are a squad of death dealers who belong to House Giovanni-Mointoire. That house also happens to be…” “The house you belong to” Celeste said completing Cassius’ sentence. “Exactement. Death dealers are elite soldiers that are sent to handle various problems and threats to our house and our existence.” Azazelle perked up in her chair at hearing this. “I do not understand. Why I was marked as a threat” she said, this was the most intrigued Celeste had seen her sister when in conversation with Cassius. “You weren’t. It was simply by happenstance that they encountered you.” His response seemed to be a disappointment to Azazelle because she sat back in her chair seemingly losing all interest. “So again I ask the need for a disciplinary hearing is what?” asked Celeste. She too was interested in this matter. If it was simply an accident there would be no need for any disciplinary action. “By killing those men Azazelle broke one of the Camorra’s rules. There are very few rules and they are very simple. They are as follows;
1) Hunting and/or killing any Vampire is forbidden within Giovanni-Montoire territory.
2) Biting a noble or drinking the blood of a noble is forbidden and constitutes immediate execution
3) All newborns must be presented to the Camorra and subsequently trained and taught the rules once they are placed in a House
“If there is to be a disciplinary hearing then I shall show up and state my case. I will inform them that those men attacked me and quite frankly classifying them as ‘elite’ is an absurd stretch of the truth” Azazelle said simply. “I am so tired of your...” Cassius was struggling to find the word “...rebellious attitude Azazelle!” He finally managed to say. “It is imperative that you understand just who it is that you are about to stand before. These are the elders of the most powerful covens in the vampric world.” “Cassius, she is not a child. She understands” Celeste said with tone advising Cassius to be cautious. “Very well then. I must be going now, I have to return to Giovanni-Montoire. I will return here tomorrow and we will leave at sunset. Azazelle, you will have to ride with me. Celeste, I will make arrangements for you and Mariana to travel together” Cassius walked over to Celeste and gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead. “I know this may be difficult request but please, do try to behave” with a smile and a bow Cassius left the room.
The night passed quickly, as did the day. Celeste had tried to talk to Azazelle throughout the day but her little sister was very quiet. Honestly, Celeste couldn’t blame her but she admired how strong her little sister had stayed thus far. The all too familiar sound of trotting horse hooves tickled Celeste’s ears and she began to make her way to the front of the estate. When she got there Azazelle was heading for the front door. “Zaz! Surely you were not going to leave without giving me a hug?” She shouted. Azazelle smiled “Of course not. I was just going to ask Cassius if I needed to bring anything” The sisters hugged. Each not wanting to let the other go. “I hate to interrupt but we must be going now or will will be late. Mariana should be along shortly, mon étoile” Celeste could not help but feel uneasy as her love and her sister walked away from her.
Celesete tried her best to keep her mind occupied as she waited for Mariana to arrive. As Cassius said Mariana arrived maybe 20 minutes after Cassius and Azazelle had departed.
Mariana’s mood did not match that of Celeste. Mariana was chipper. She filled Celeste in on all that had been happening with her since the last time they had spoke. “Celeste you have hardly said a word since we entered the carriage. Ca va?” She asked. “Je suis désolée. I am just a but nervous I suppose. I do not really know what to expect. All of this is still very new to me” admitted Celeste. “C’est vrai! You have never been to a disciplinary hearing. I must admit i did find it a it odd when Jareth told me that I was to bring to Giovanni-Montoire for the hearing but I have shared with him how i wish to expand our friendship so I am sure he is doing this as a kindness for me” “How sweet” Celeste said with a smile. Mariana was so smitten with Jareth Celeste found it cute. Mariana smiled shyly for a brief moment. “Back to the hearing, oui?” “Oui” replied Celeste. Her sister’s hearing was more important than anyone’s relationship. “Most of them are usually a bore but tonight should be different. It has been quite some time since someone has broken any rule in a manner as extreme as this. I am excited to see how my father and the other elders of the Camorra decide to punish the insubordinate” Celeste’s eyes widened. “Sweetheart you must calm yourself. You have done nothing wrong so you have nothing to fear” said Mariana. “May I ask you something?” “Of course! Céleste you are my friend you can always ask me whatever you like. You do not need my permission” Mariana smiled. “I have heard Cassius speak of the Camorra and just a few moments ago you said that your father was an elder in the Camorra. What exactly is The Camorra?” asked Céleste. « Ah, bon question mon amie » Celeste could tell Mariana found true delight in her world. “The Camorra, are small council of elders who implement and enforce vampiric laws that we are to be obey” « Je comprend, merci » replied Céleste.
“You must wait her until they come and get you. I am going to offer you a piece of advice. Wether you chose to use it is your choice” Azazelle looked at Cassius. “Keep your head down, do not speak unless you are spoken to and if asked to state your case do not disrespect them and do not defy them” Azazelle shook her head showing she understood.
The circular room Mariana had walked them to was vast and opulent with marble floors and marble columns. “Have a seat with Amélie I’ve there I will join you shortly. I must say hello to a couple of people before the hearing begins” said Mariana. Celeste sat beside Amélie and the two had just enough time to exchange greetings before Cassius appeared and joined them.
In the center of the room there was an elevated platform that 6 beautiful throne like chairs sat upon. In front of that platform there were three tiers of seating with about 50 chairs on each. On the ground level, which just so happened to be the level Celeste and Cassius were seated on, were arm chairs made entirely of ebony outfitted with tufted back cushions of black velvet with ruby buttons and matching seat cushions. On the second tier, the arm chairs were gilded in gold with silk the purest of color of white adorned on the back and seat cushions. A stark contrast of the darker chairs on the tier below. On the third tier there were far fewer chairs maybe 10 or 15 in total. The chairs on this level appeared to be smaller versions of the 6 seated on the platform in the center of the room.
The 6 seats in the platform were now occupied and the room was quickly filling up. “Who are these people?” Céleste asked looking around the room. “You have seen Marrius and Amir before. The ones you do not know are Lasko, he is the head of House Léon and Desmond he is the Head of the Maizère family. Both of those Houses are part of the Brézé coven. The two empty seats are for the Elder of the Corsini family and the elder of the third house that makes up the Brézé coven” as Cassius was explaining Celeste saw someone she didn’t think she would be seeing again anytime soon. “Cassius, why is he here” asked Celeste.
Tumblr media
“Leo is a death dealer as well. He is one of the Cavalieri Bianchi” replied Cassius. “Mon dieu” was all celeste managed to say the rest of the Cavalieri Bianchi took their seats with Leo. She had never seen men as beautiful as them.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
“Their names are N, ten, Ravi and the one who cannot seem to comply with the unspoken dress code is Ronin”
Tumblr media
“He’s the rebellious one in the bunch” Celeste swallowed.
Jareth walked in the room and was followed by Athan and several others Céleste had never seen before. One of them in particular caught her eye and Both he and Athan bowed politely to her from quite a few chairs over.
Tumblr media
Jareth made his way to the top tier in the room. He unlike Mariana looked like he would rather be anywhere but here. He almost looked a bit angry Céleste noted. He paid no attention to the others who were trying to speak to him in the top tear.
The room grew quiet shortly followed by the loud sound of a very heavy door being opened. Azazelle was escorted in by a male and a female vampire. She was seated in a small very uncomfortable looking wooden chair. It took no time for the hearing to begin.
“This newborn possesses no self-control and must be punished for her crimes” said Marrius, the head of House Giovanni-Montoire.
“How does he know that all of this took place?” celeste asked as the details of her sister’s offense were shared. “I told him” replied Cassius. “How is it that you know this took place? And why would you tell them” She asked a little too loud. “Quiet, please do not interrupt them. I had no choice. I had to tell them” Whispered Cassius.
“What do you suggest Marrius?” asked Amir. “Slave to my house perhaps” Marrius said exuding an air of nonchalance. “Un moment, This newborn took out two of your best, you say?” Lasko, the head of House of Léon, asked leaning forward enough to make eye contact with Marius. « Trois » replied Marrius. “Then perhaps it’d be fitting for a demonstration? If she is as skilled of a fighter as was explained; her abilities would be wasted as a house slave” Lasko challenged; he knew Marrius wanted Azazelle for himself because she would add more power to his House. Marrius looked over at his group of death dealers and raised his hand. Two of them rose and started making their way to where Azazelle was sitting. Amir did the same and Ravi descended the steps as well. “Les soldats s’arment!” commanded Marrius.
The three vampires grabbed their weapons of choice and took their places in front of the still seated Azazelle.
“Cassius, qu’est-ce que c’est? What are they going to do to her?” celeste asked. Celeste started to stand “Non, do not move.”  he said grabbing her hand “I’ve seen her fight. She will be alright”. Marrius saw Cassius do this then focused back on the matter at hand.
Azazelle stood before her challengers and took a deep breath. “Shall we?”

Retrospective Thought: “Top Ten Video Game Bosses”
BI figured I’d give my thoughts and opinions about some video game bosses I’ve fought and beaten, maybe even multiple times. No doubt a great villain can often times become a just as great or better boss for you to face; utilising everything you’ve learnt up to that point and then applying whatever other tricks you’ve gained along the way to the boss...or you completely exploit a glitch, use some really OP, nearly broken something or other.  my own guidelines upon how I’m constructing the list: No more than two bosses per franchise, sometimes a franchise just has a bunch, so I’m going with two at most here. Emotional factor, badass factor and impact factor are all the judging components for this list. This is MY list and MY list ONLY, some will agree, others will venomously not, this is just my opinion and not more espousing this list as fact.  So lets begin the list!  10) Vergil - Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening  Devil May Cry is one of my personal favourite franchises in the Hack ‘n’ Slash Action genre. DMC3 is the creme de la creme, the magnum Opus of the DMC Franchise, boy does it have some really awesome bosses. I went with Vergil because he is just like Dante, only less of a joker and more serious and willing to live up to his father’s legacy, for better or worse. He is quite literally the twin bro of Dante and polar opposite too. While Dante is goofing and joking, Vergil is serious and focused. The battles you have against Vergil show that not only are they different, they skill level are not even on the same level, often rocking you around like a game of pinball while you struggle to gain the upper hand in his counters and zoning techniques. The music, the stages, and the combat itself is all superbly done well, you never quite feel like you can rest on laurels against the darkside of the Sparda Twins. it goes without saying that this fight is as emotional as it is badass, especially the last fight against him, to which when you beat him? you found out his fate. Oh yeah, it’s also a prequel to the first game. Great battle, great character.  9) Nemesis - Resident Evil 3 I’m a huge fan of Survival Horror games, whether it be the psychological fuckery of Silent Hill or the despondent, bleak teeth gritting pulse pounding Alien: Isolation. Silent Hill is not quite known for it’s bosses, that I can say, and Alien does not really have one. Hence why Nemesis is on the list. Possibly most intelligent of the Tyrant Class B.O.Ws from Umbrella, Nemesis is one vile, deadly, and ugly as fuck Tyrant. He Pretty much bursts on the scene, kills Jill’s acquaintance via tendril through the mouth and then proceeds to chase you. You are often give the choice of either actually facing the fucker head on, or to escape. Facing him nets you some pretty good rewards, but escaping allows you to conserve your items and ammo. From its first introduction and throughout the game there’s this sense of paranoia, sense of foreboding that he’s following you, even stalking you. This is a masterclass for Survival Horror bosses, and Nemesis stands to be the example that sadly, no one else follows.  8) Brainiac - Injustice 2 Fighting Game bosses are, for the most part, really hard to pull off. You don’t want them to be pushovers, but at the same you can’t have them be stupidly cheap and OP(See Azazel from Tekken 6, Shao Kahn from the MK Series). Brainiac, while no push over, is definitely a balance struck; Not too difficult and quite possibly conquerable. His characterisation, personality and dialogue are all well put together as well, making for a fantastic fighting game boss. A believable threat for the heroes, that even forces them to desperately look for desperate measures to take him out.  7) Grigori The Dragon - Dragon’s Dogma  I’m not going to lie, Skyrim’s Dragons are very lackluster and disappointing in regards to fighting one. Grigori though? quite possibly one of my favourite monster boss battles from a game to date, especially from an RPG to boot. Starting out as a harrowing, tense as hell chase, with Grigori rampaging like all good Dragons do, then proceeding to an air battle, in which you are scaling the body of this giant flying dinosaur to a grounded battle. This boss can easily described as epic, in my books. emotional factor and impact come in the form of Grigori taking your heart, and then much later takes your “beloved” to bargain with you. This battle is fantastic and highly underrated. 6) Liquid/Revolver Ocelot - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriot Metal Gear Solid is one helluva fuckin trip of a series. Often times goofy, often times really fucking serious, but mostly all tims “fantastic”, so no doubt the final chapter in Solid Snake’s life has a big boss battle right at end to send it off? Eeeeeh, kinda? you pretty much confront Ocelot, and engage him in CQC, up close and personal fisticuffs. This is personal shit, this fight hangs a lot of stuff at stake in the balance, and oh boy is it nail biting. Plus as well the health and stamina bars go from 1 all up to 4 as you punch, kick, throw and choke Liquid Ocelot who then slowly becomes Revolver again.   5) Senator Armstrong - Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance OH BOY, is Metal Gear Rising just the stupidest, most badass shit to come from PlatinumGames? Well yes it is. This boss battles is just off the walls, equally, stupidly badass, silly and profound to some really strange way. The battle starts off with Raiden facing off against a huge Metal Gear for starters, which in most games would’ve been the final boss and thats it. Not Senator Armstrong though, he’s got “NANOMACHINES, SON” that allow him become the most anime as fuck villain in a MGS Series.  4) Slave Knight Gael - Dark Souls 3:The Ringed City DLC. OH YEAH?! I COULD’VE CHOSEN ARTORIAS, GWYN, ORNSTEIN AND SMOUGH, FUME KNIGHT RAIME, SOUL OF CINDER ETC ETC. But I didn’t chose thoses badasses, I chose a pathetic slave knight consumed by the Dark Soul all for the long-haired girl to paint a new world for those who’ve suffered too long. Admittedly, the battle serves as a “Best of Compilation” but by god it’s done nearly perfectly. Gael will most certainly fuck you up without hesitation and proceed to do the same again, again and again. Lore wise, the battle is fantastic and quite saddening too. An ally who helped you, driven mad as you must slay him. His design is also one of my favourites of the more humanoid bosses of the DS Trilogy.  3) Giygas - Mother 2: Earthbound Well then, this final boss came out of nowhere with it’s creepiness, it’s rather dark as hell atmosphere that somehow makes it even worse since most of the game has been rather weird and goofy up and till this point. Straight up fighting will not work against it, you gotta pray to beat him, and boy does it get weirder. Any further and I’m heading into spoiler central, but I’d recommend everyone, especially Undertale Fanboys.  2) Colonel Nohman as The Pilot of Anubis/Aumaan Anubis - Zone of the Enders/ZoE:The Second Runner. Both games use Anubis, ZoE1 he’s an undefeatable boss to which you just manage to distract him to live once more. in the Second Runner? it starts off the same but eventually, you begin to fight on with him, especially gaining the Zero Shift ability. Nohman is the perfect example of a recurring boss/villain that does not suck. He’s easily fantastic, and oh god he’s just so over the top it’s really fu, you clearly hear how well the VA gets into it. The battle is pretty hectic and superbly solid. One of my all time fave mech based game.  1) Gehrman - Bloodborne Where do I begin? The fantastic boss theme, the superbly designed boss arena or is it one of the coolest human enemies in which it feels like you’re fighting a close friend who has no real objection to fighting you reglardless. The hunt calls for him and he beckons without a question. The battle itself is near perfection personified and quite possibly one of the best boss battles. The music plays, giving you a sense of dread, and surprisingly, sense of melancholy. the Bloodborne has countless epic and fantastic bosses in their own. It’s a battle through and through, one of my faves as well as legit being one of the best bosses in most games.  This is my list! how you enjoy reading it, if you disagree or one of your faves is not only list,  just remember its MY list of my OPINION, some bosses not on are super great or I just never played them

Parallels between 1x1 and 12x23 and continued reference to The Book of Enoch in Supernatural
As @tinkdw has posted about recently, the parallels to the first episode are strong in 12x22.
In the first episode there is a nursery where Sam (a baby) has the blood of Azazel (a demon but actually a fallen angel) combined with his. Then his mother dies. Then the love of Sam’s life (Jess) is killed which spurs Sam on to hunt with Dean to find their father.
In 12.23 it ends with a nursery where Jack (a baby turned teen) is a combination of human and fallen angel. Then his mother dies. Just before that the love of Dean’s life (Cass) is killed and Sam and Dean’s mother whist technically hunting is lost to an alternate reality.
Tumblr media
(1x1)
Tumblr media
(12x23)
So, what does this mean for Jack? I think Jack is being paralleled with Sam because of this. Sam was destined to be a special child (which is inspired by Judaic lore about fallen angels making nephilim, specifically Azazel creating nephilim which starts the war between Heaven’s angels and the fallen angels).
Let’s do some background on Azalea’s children. Here is the entry from Supernatural wikia, cred to that site; 'Special Children refers to children to whom Azazel fed his blood when they were babies, having snuck into their homes after making a deal with their parents. The result was that the blood caused the children to develop supernatural abilities in them so they could serve as generals in Lucifer's army against humanity and God. These abilities could be strengthened by the consumption of demon blood. Around Season 2, Azazel wanted to test these children to find who would be the strongest, so he put them in an abandoned town called Cold Oak and told them only one could survive. This eventually triggered a fight among the Children. Azazel led everyone to believe that he wanted a leader for his demon army. However, as it was later revealed, the endgame was bigger than just leading a demon army. Azazel chose the children because they were all potential vessels for Lucifer. The strongest one would be chosen to contain Lucifer throughout the Apocalypse. Sam Winchester was the sole survivor and so, despite his greatest efforts, was taken over by Lucifer both as a result of being a Special Child and also because of his predetermined destiny as Lucifer's true vessel.’
OK, so i think that the plot of supernatural was elongated when they knew they had more seasons to go, so instead of sticking to the story that the special children would fight against heaven with lucifer, the writers changed it so that Azazel was searching for Lucifer’s vessel. I think this was changed because Lucifer’s current vessel doesn’t really fit into this and there seemed to be a lot of plot changes so that Mark Pellegrino could be kept as Lucifer’s now true vessel. The introduction of Cas and angels in Season 4 also signifies to me that they are returning again to the original plot which was going to be all about this huge fight between heaven and earth due to nephilim, or ‘special children’.
The parallels between 12x23 and 1x1 are so strong that i think they are retuning to this huge fight between heaven and earth however they can’t really show this any more on current earth. (the huge fight between heaven and earth in The Book of Enoch is caused due to Azazel and Lucifer and other fallen angels fathering nephilim, as i discussed in this post)
So what do I think is happening in that alternate reality where Sam and Dean weren’t born? Well, potentially this reality is the one where Azazel made these children, one became lucifer’s true vessel and then Lucifer and the fallen angels all started making more nephilim and Heaven’s angels came down onto earth and a huge war started to occur. Because it was not Sam and Dean who were chosen and able to stop this from happening, this is why this alternate reality is stuck in this war. This alternate reality not only shows what would have happened if Azalea’s and Lucifer’s plan went without a hitch due to a lack of Sam and Dean, but it also shows where Supernatural might have taken us quicker if there hadn’t been all these seasons which consulted the original plot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are, essentially, returning to the major textual influence on Supernatural which is The Book of Enoch.
For this next bit, I would recommend reading this post I made which will give you some background knowledge on why I think The Book of Enoch is so important to the past seasons of Supernatural and the next season.
So in that post I talk about what happens in the first many chapters of The Book of Enoch which discusses how Lucifer had a fight with God, persuaded some angels to follow him, God cast them down onto earth, they started fathering Nephilim (Azazel in particular) and this huge war was fought between Lucifer and his fallen angels, and Heaven’s angels (lead by the archangels).
In the next many chapters of The Book of Enoch, Enoch is show a place by Uriel which is in a constant battle between angels and fallen angels; I saw the winds of heaven which turn and bring the circumference of the sun and all the stars to their setting. I saw the winds on the earth carrying the clouds: I saw ⌈⌈the paths of the angels. I saw⌉⌉ at the end of the earth the firmament of the heaven above. And I proceeded and saw a place which burns day and night, where there are seven mountains of magnificent stones, three towards the east, and three towards the south. […] And I saw a flaming fire. And beyond these mountains is a region the end of the great earth: there the heavens were completed. And I saw a deep abyss, with columns of heavenly fire, and among them I saw columns of fire fall, which were beyond measure alike towards the height and towards the depth. And beyond that abyss I saw a place which had no firmament of the heaven above, and no firmly founded earth beneath it: there was no water upon it, and no birds, but it was a waste and horrible place. I saw there seven stars like great burning mountains, and to me, when I inquired regarding them, The angel said: 'This place is the end of heaven and earth: this has become a prison for the stars and the host of heaven. [previously in The Book of Enoch, stars have been used to mean angels, and Lucifer is described to have taken a third of the stars from the sky, so anytime you see stars this means angels] And the stars which roll over the fire are they which have transgressed the commandment of the Lord in the beginning of their rising, because they did not come forth at their appointed times. And He was wroth with them, and bound them till the time when their guilt should be consummated (even) ⌈for ten thousand years⌉.' (Chapter XVIII)
Does this wasteland of columns and no animals, and mountains remind you of anywhere?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I perceive the alternate reality in 12x23 to be this same place seen by Enoch in The Book of Enoch where the angels of heaven and Lucifer’s fallen angels have been trapped in a place of eternal war due to the fallen angels’ transgressions (fathering Nephilim as was explained earlier in the text). Supernatural hinted at this by saying that this place was a place of war between angels and demons, and the demons had horns and had morphed into new demons (I think Lucifer’s fallen angels are creating perveted Nephilim here). It is also a place where Sam and Dean were never born which is why this war was not stopped by them. Lucifer also says in this last episode ‘when in doubt, go with the classics’ and I think this is what the writers are doing; going back to the classic text which inspired Azazel in 1x1.
Season 12 has been fairly less ‘nebulous’ as Andrew Dabb said. It’s focused on less cosmic narratives such as God and The Darkness, and has been more character driven. I think it is building up to next season which will be more ‘huge apocalypse ahhhh what is happening’. So in this AU we’ll hopefully see the return of the archangels (including Michael because that is such a huge plot hole which has been hinted at since season 10). In this AU which is ‘neither a heaven above nor a firmly founded earth, but a place chaotic and horrible’ where  Enoch ‘saw seven stars of the heaven bound together in it, like great mountains and burning with fire […] These are of the number of the stars ⌈of heaven⌉, which have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and are bound here till ten thousand years, the time entailed by their sins, are consummated.’ And from thence I went to another place, which was still more horrible than the former, and I saw a horrible thing: a great fire there which burnt and blazed, and the place was cleft as far as the abyss, being full of great descending columns of fire: neither its extent or magnitude could I see, nor could I conjecture. […]  And [Uriel] said unto me: 'This place is the prison of the angels, and here they will be imprisoned for ever.' (Chapter XXI, Book of Enoch)
Sound familiar?
Tumblr media
(‘but this earth is locked in eternal war between heaven and hell. There are armies of angels fighting hoards of demons and the few humans that remain are caught in-between’ - Cas, 12x23)
I believe that in this AU reality, this is where nephilim are being made, or were made and this is why this reality is in eternal war. Whilst Sam and Dean may try to raise Jack as good, i think this world will prove to be a mirror of how Jack could turn out if he were to be bad, and it would also serve as a warning to Sam and Dean of what could happen if Jack continues to exist; i.e. a war between heaven and earth will start in their reality. This AU reality is the world that Jack could cause which will create a conflict in the brothers. Should they not take Jack’s grace and hope he turns out good and risk this reality coming to them? Or should they take away his grace and go against Cas’s hopes and never let this eternal war come upon their reality? This world is a LITERAL parallel world to them, and is used to show Sam and Dean what could happen. This world will inform their choices, not because it is what could HAVE been, but is what still COULD be because of the existence of a nephilim in their world (which they are now in charge of).
(I’ve still got way more meta to go about the influence of The Book of Enoch and this AU reality which I will write and post soon)

I cant wait to see Jeanne reaction when she confirms that Azazel, an old enemy/demon saved her child *-*
lol I also actually kinda dreading this after ep10, but then the preview kinda blows my mind bcs holy shit aren’t you two already getting along so well gimme back my worry omg
Jeanne’s lack of reaction when Nina mentions Azazel’s the one with Mugaro is also interesting? I can’t read her there; I wonder if she doesn’t remember Azazel despite literally destroying everything he had lmao or if she just chose to process that for another time bcs there’s more pressing concern right now. Also, Nina does mention that Azazel’s a demon and the demons’ve been victimized by the time Jeanne gets captured, so maybe it really doesn’t matter to her as long as Mugaro/El gets saved and alive somewhere.
…actually, it’s totally possible that she doesn’t even know Azazel’s name and only knows him as that one demon who got Amira and attacked Anatea ten years ago orz
(pls god staff-san director-san you can’t make her forget Azazel that would be too cruel on azazel lmao)
Idk where the show’s gonna take them, but personally, I think they could be the best of friends.
They both have this very serious personality (azazel’s even more than Jeanne; she at least could understand a joke)
they both were once saints (well azazel was an angel but i digress) worshipped by ppl, now fallen from grace (azazel’s probably by his own fault, but again, i digress)
already calling each other by nicknames (Azabel/Bell & Jeannety)
death to Martinet and Belzebub (the same guys who make their lives difficult in S1)
honestly what happened between them in is S1 is technically not personal since they both only doing their jobs at the time.
(she still destroyed his castle and his lower horns tho)
both getting saved by their better halfs (Lucifer & Michael respectively) during Bahamut fiasco (if we count Favaro’s narration as canon that is)
I like to imagine how Azazel could try to get jeanne riled up about the whole angels/demons/gods relationship thing and every time instead of ignoring him she earnestly mistakes his intentions, and it riles *him* up instead
much like in the ep11 preview, he can’t decide whether she’s genuinely mistaken him or if she actually makes fun of him, so he ends up seriously trying to correct her
she keeps making it worse from his correction and he can’t do a thing about it other than growling at her silently
this is how their beautiful grudging friendship begins
after some time much like Rita, Jeanne also starts treating Azazel like some angry elementary kid who keeps getting hurt from fights (except she’s less obvious about it than Rita)
they bond over taking care of Mugaro (or getting taken cared of, in azazel’s case, bcs let’s be real here)
they avoid talking about how Mugaro might be secretly Michael
they totally, completely, avoid talking about how Mugaro may and may not have a tiny crush on Azazel
they also (secretly) bond over how Nina actually has bad taste in men bcs charioce xvii maybe a gentleman but he’s still charioce xvii yo (jeanne secretly includes Azazel in this category)
they both get drunks from time to time and complain about their better halfs and how powerful angels leaders (fallen, in Lucifer’s case) are maybe cool but the mysterious aura is getting tiring and how they’re so hard to understand and also how they’re absent most of the time like wth
Hamsa and Bacchus while also drunk mostly can’t decide if it’s okay for them to hear all these personal things about Lucifer and Michael bcs hello leader of fallen angels army and an Archangel respectively, so once Azazel and jeanne’s drunken talks starts mentioning Lucifer and Michael, they leave them alone.
comes morning Mugaro would find them and float them to each of their own bed.
what gets discussed in drunken stupor would stay in drunken stupor
jeanne kinda hates azazel a little every morning after bcs with his stupid angel/demon power he could avoid getting a hungover and he preens at her while jeanne has to suffer
Favaro is totally baffled by their sorta friendship while kaisar cries bcs everyone getting along is beautiful (now if only azazel and jeanne could include charioce xvii in their friendship, it would be perf– “only if bahamut rises,” azazel retorts, while jeanne only conveys that with her piercing gaze.)
Nina, who hears that from a distance, perks up. she just has this brilliant idea.
(let’s not forget that azazel once calls her a small bahamut)
(Odin help them all)

There and Back Again (Part 9)
Tumblr media
Summary: (don’t read unless you want spoilers) Crowley informs Dean that the demon possessing you used to work with Azazel. When they attempt an exorcism, more demons arrive. The demon incapacitates Sam and then goes after Dean, stabbing you in the process. When she goes to kill Dean, you overpower her.
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Word Count: 2,000
Warnings: (again, don’t read unless you want spoilers) language, violence, blood, death, too many feelings
This is part of a series: Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6 - Part 7 - Part 8
A/N: I sat down this morning and MADE myself write this next part. So it might be a little messy. My apologies. I just really wanted to get it out for you guys, since I’ve had several of you ask when it would be out and it’s been FOREVER since part 8 came out. I hope you like it…
Your head snapped up at the sound of Crowley’s voice, but to everyone’s surprise, he wasn’t looking at you. John shifted uneasily beneath the demon’s gaze, glancing to Dean for help.
“I don’t think we’ve officially had the pleasure,” Crowley quipped, not bothering to hold his hand out towards John, “the name’s Crowley, king of hell.”
John flinched at the title, and Dean just rolled his eyes. He was used to Crowley’s flair for the dramatic by now.
“So he’s-” John asked, looking to his son.
“Yep.”
“Why is he-”
“To see if he knows who this demon bitch is,” Dean said, jerking his chin towards where you were watching the interaction carefully. They had gagged you to shut up the demon, but your black glare said enough.
“We do need to have a chat, you and I. Namely about how you managed to crawl out of hell all on your own,” Crowley said, examining John closely and frowning a little. John smirked and tucked his hands into his pockets.
“Caused a little trouble downstairs, did I?”
“Oh, you have no idea,” Crowley said, his voice turning dangerous, “Alastair was particularly unpleasant after that, but then again, he was never very cuddly to begin with.” Dean and John both paled a little at the mention of the demon who spent decades torturing each of them, but John recovered quickly.
“Glad I could be of service,” he said, smirking and making Crowley’s face turn a little red.
“Hey! Can we focus please?” Dean demanded, getting fed up. They were wasting time. Crowley glared for a moment longer before turning back to you with a sigh.
“Unfortunately, I know exactly who that is,” Crowley muttered, strolling towards you. He hesitated, raising an eyebrow as Dean growled a warning. “Easy boy, just removing the gag.”
“You don’t touch her,” Dean snarled, “I’ll get it.”
“Nice of you to join the party,” you said as Dean pulled the gag away from your mouth. Crowley ignored you, strolling around the room, for all the world looking as if he was considering purchasing a car.
“That’s Azazel’s little whore. Or should I say - was, since that particular half-wit is no longer with us,” Crowley said, clasping his hands behind his back. They all stared at you, alarm and shock written on each face. Suddenly it wasn’t all that surprising that the demon had gone after you, considering her boss had murdered Mary and Jess.
“And you don’t have control over her why, exactly?” Dean asked, though he was pretty sure he knew the answer: she’d gone rogue.
“Because he’s weak,” you spat, baring your teeth at the other demon.
“She’s a general pain in my ass,” Crowley mused, “rather fitting she chose the rabbit for a hand puppet, isn’t it?”
“Not funny,” Dean growled, “how do we get her out without hurting Y/N?”
“You don’t,” the demon hissed, eyes flicking black again.
“Come again?” Dean asked, turning to glare at you. “The bitch is mine until I get what I want,” the demon said with a smile that made Dean feel sick.
“Which is?”
“Your head on a plate.”
“Not happening. And I don’t think you’re in any position to be demanding things. Begging for mercy is more like it,” Sam cut in, clutching the jug of holy water tightly.
“Oh honey you’ll be begging by the time I’m done with you-”
“Enough!” Crowley roared. With a wave of his hand, you were silenced. “Can’t you just exorcise the brat? I have more important things to attend to, and this place is making me itch.”
“Solid iron coated in salt will do that to a demon,” Bobby said with a snort, clearly pleased with his handiwork.
Dean just sighed in frustration and turned to Sam.
“I uh… I started, but… you’ll see,” Sam stammered, stepping towards you again.
“Yes, well, if you’ll excuse me, I have real things to do,” Crowley said before pointing a finger at Dean, “And you. If you summon me again like that we’re going to have a problem.”
“Yeah whatever…” Dean muttered, watching as Crowley stepped out of the room and vanished. “Sammy, get on it.”
“Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas…” Sam began reciting from memory, hesitating as the demon began laughing. After a quick glance at Dean, Sam continued. “Omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii-” Sam shot another worried look at Dean as a low rumble began, building as he continued and shaking the room, “omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te-”
There was a loud bang from above their heads, and the hunters shared wary glances.
“Sammy, keep going!” Dean yelled over the rumbling that still continued. The rest of them hurried back into the basement and split up, John and Bobby taking the bulkhead while Dean and Cas ran up the stairs. The hallway was deserted, and the two of them crept towards the library, weapons drawn. Another crash from outside distracted them for a moment, and then the back door was kicked in.
“Shit…” Dean muttered, raising his angel blade as the demons ran at them. He and Cas worked quickly, and soon the numbers were more even. Dean began to feel decent about their chances, especially because these seemed to be low-level demons without much power. If they’d had any, they’d have-
Dean was suddenly picked up off his feet by an invisible force and slammed into the wall. Plaster cracked beneath him and he grunted in pain, but then the room fell oddly silent. The demons surrounding Cas had stopped attacking, leaving the angel eyeing them warily. John and Bobby were shoved roughly through the back door by more demons just in time to see you stroll in from the hallway. Where the hell was Sam?
“Well hello there Dean,” you said, smiling up at him smugly, eyes going black just to piss him off.
“Fuck… off…” Dean gritted through the pain. The power holding him against the wall was crushed against his chest, making it hard to breathe.
“That was how I planned to kill you, but this will work just as well,” the demon said, shrugging your shoulders. She strolled over to where Dean’s blade had fallen and picked it up gingerly.
“What did you do to Sam?” He demanded as you came closer, trying to stall for something, anything…
“He’s out cold downstairs. I wanted to play with him some more, but I had things to do,” she said, reaching up and placing your free hand against the side of his face. “You should hear her, screaming away in here…” She mused, chuckling as Dean’s face contorted into an angry snarl.
“Oh just kill me already,” Dean muttered, rolling his eyes and feigning indifference, “villain monologues are a little cliché, don’t you think?”
“Kill you?” The demon said, laughing again, “oh no, Dean. Not just yet.” And with a quick flip of the angel blade, the demon plunged it into your abdomen.
“NO!” Dean roared, fighting, straining against the power that held him to the wall. The demon just chuckled again, drawing the blade out of you slowly, the silver stained with crimson. Dean watched in horror as blood darkened your shirt, spreading quickly, too quickly.
“Oh yes, Dean. You killed my lover, so I’ve killed yours. And now it’s your turn.” She raised the angel blade again, prepared to drive it straight through Dean’s heart, but he didn’t care. He didn’t give two shits about himself, and to be honest, he never had. All he cared about was that you were dying, and he couldn’t do anything to stop it. But as the blade moved, aimed at his chest, suddenly your hand jerked. Dean bellowed as the angel blade hit his shoulder, but then he was dropping to the ground, freed from his invisible bonds. In a flurry of movement, Bobby, John and Cas resumed fighting, catching the demons in their moment of surprise. And you - you were crawling on your hands and knees towards Bobby’s desk.
“Y/N!” Dean yelled, and your Y/E/C eyes flicked to him, shrouded with pain. But they weren’t black. One arm wrapped around your middle, you snatched the tape recorder from the shelf and hit play. Bobby’s voice echoed through the room, reciting an exorcism. You fell to your knees, but you weren’t done just yet. Your fingers found the container of salt, and you tipped your head back and dumped it into your mouth. Black smoke billowed out of you, and you collapsed, propped against the side of the desk. Dean slid to his knees next to you, ripping his flannel shirt over his head to press it against your wound. You were spitting red-stained salt from your mouth, coughing weakly, tears streaming down your face.
“Dean…” you whispered, voice hoarse.
“Shhh baby it’s gonna be alright…” he said, brushing the hair out of your face.
“No it’s not,” you wheezed, pausing to spit out another mouthful of bloody salt. Panic flared up inside of Dean, making it hard to breathe. There was too much blood, far too much. You grabbed his hand weakly, making him look back into your eyes. “Dean… I… I made a deal.”
“You what?” Dean demanded, his grip tightening on you.
“She was gonna kill Sammy, Dean. I couldn’t let her. I knew I was as good as dead anyway…” you sobbed tightly, the pain making it hard to even talk.
“How could you do that?” Dean said quietly. You knew what hell was like because he’d told you. You knew what you were facing, what the consequences were, but you’d done it to save Sam anyway.
“Your baby brother, Dean… had to stop…” you were getting weaker, your voice fading.
“Y/N! Come on sweetheart, stay with me!” Dean called desparately, but you were getting paler, your grip on his hand was almost nonexistent.
“Love… you… Dean…” you breathed, shuddering. Your chest didn’t rise again, your eyes turned glassy, and you were gone. A gentle hand landed on Dean’s shoulder but he shook it off, pulling you into his arms and holding you tightly.
“Y/N, no… no, no, no… god baby I love you too, come back…”
John stared at his son holding your lifeless body, his heart breaking all over again. He knew exactly what Dean was feeling, what was going through his mind and ripping him apart inside. He turned away and wiped at his eyes, where tears had begun to form. This all brought up too many memories, too many emotions that he had long since buried. All he could think about was Mary. When he said you reminded him of her, he hadn’t been kidding. You acted like her, had a mouth just like she did, and looked just like her even in death. There had been a fire in you, passion and courage and spunk - only to have it snuffed out by yet another demon. He heard your last few words, he knew you saved Sam, saved both his sons from death that day by throwing yourself in the line of fire. You’d made a deal, and you were headed straight for hell.
John shuddered a little at the thought, and knew that’s what was tearing Dean apart the most. The thought of you being tormented, tortured for eternity ultimately because they had all been careless enough to let you be possessed… it just wasn’t right. Someone like you had no place in hell.
Maybe they were cursed. Doomed to lose the people they loved, to spend eternity hunting down the monsters that ripped loved ones away. Azazel was dead, but now there was another demon to hunt, to pursue to the ends of the earth. And John knew, knew from experience, that Dean would do whatever it took to seek revenge.
“Dad,” Dean’s voice cut through John’s thoughts, making him turn back to find Dean still holding onto you. His green eyes were dark, a mixture of fury and despair on his face, but his voice was determined. “You escaped from hell.”
“Yeah son, I did. But it was when the devil’s gate opened. There was a lot of commotion.”
“I don’t care. I want you to take me to hell. I want you to get me there and back again. We’re breaking her out.”

Hello Mittens :) Do you think the 300th ep painted John in a more positive light than it should have? I don't really hate John, but I felt like they brushed past a lot of trauma he caused Sam and Dean for the sake of a reunion episode. I know that trauma wasn't forgotten, since it was intentionally brought up right before the 300th ep. I'm just kinda curious why they didn't address that kind of raw trauma we've seen before directly with John
Eh... maybe taken out of context of the rest of the season, or just looking at the scenes with John out of context with the rest of the episode, it could look like they were handwaving the sorts of trauma that we’ve watched Sam and Dean suffer through for the last 14 seasons, but there’s your answer right there.
We have been watching Sam and Dean struggle with the legacy their father left them with for the last 14 seasons. We aren’t watching these few minutes of conversation in a vacuum. We didn’t just jump right from 2.01 to 2.22 to 14.13 with nothing in between.
Sam and Dean have both repeatedly addressed how they were raised, how much it sucked, what their relationship with their father was like (both awful and good, because their lives weren’t 24/7 awful, you know?). They’ve both come to a greater understanding of their father now that they’re adults themselves that have had to face horrors that even John could’ve never conceived of when he was alive (how many apocalypses? being chosen personally by God for this horrific destiny? And even John and Mary having been mere pawns in this longer cosmic game being played with their lives?). I mean, Sam and Dean Know Things About Things.
They met God. And Dean shared his disappointment in the ultimate cosmic father figure, who then advised Dean not to conflate him with his own father. Basically hung a lampshade on that parallel for all of us.
Then there was Mary’s return, her uncovering the truth of all of this, the horror that she hadn’t been able to save her children from the life she never wanted for them, and that John had been the one to drive them through that terrible life. She was disillusioned, guilt-ridden, and horrified at the way her kids were raised. But she also still did miss him, you know?
People can actually feel a complex mix of feelings for each other. And given one final chance, knowing full well it is their one final chance, they can choose-- as Dean said in 14.05-- to lay their baggage down.
We also can’t forget the direct parallel we were given in the previous episode, of Nick having this chance to reconcile with the ghost of his wife, to free her from imprisonment in their old house suffering the death of their child alone, and he failed to do that. He chose Lucifer and himself over her. While in the very next episode, John was sort of presented with a similar circumstance. He immediately and without hesitation chose again to sacrifice himself for Mary. He didn’t even have to think about it. And in turn, he had to accept Sam and Dean’s lives over the last 13 years since he died, and his role in the traumas of their shared past that shaped them and led directly to a lot of their personal suffering as children and adults. But there was also general acknowledgement-- especially from Dean-- that he likes the person he’s become despite all that. And that he wouldn’t change it now.
They chose to lay the baggage of the past down, to not dwell on the past that they can’t change, and chose the future instead.
And from an “outside the story” perspective, they’ve finally laid the character of John to rest. It’s honestly a relief to me, because yes he fucked up their lives. We get it. We’ve been getting that for 14 years now. Let’s try to grow beyond that now. He’s gone, they can’t change the past, but they can acknowledge it and move forward with a healthier mindset about all of it now.
Because the episode wasn’t about JOHN. It was about how far Sam and Dean (and even Mary, now that she’s alive again, and even CAS in his role in the story brought to the future from a point in time where he’d never met the Winchesters and fell for humanity) have come since then. And they’re not in the same place they were back in early s2 after John’s death, you know? They’d long since exhausted the desire to yell in his face. I mean, Dean confronted this directly in s3. How long should he be expected to have held on to all those toxic feelings? Because honestly if they’d all started yelling it would’ve just been... the grumpy toddler poop flinging hour, and I really expect more of all of them after all these years, you know?
Fandom may not have forgiven John, but thank heck Sam and Dean have at least gained some perspective and learned that he doesn’t still have to dictate their lives to them 13 years after he died, you know? Good for them for actually maturing to this point where they can see a future for themselves not burdened by toxic feelings that they’ve been working through all along the way.
eek, sorry about that... I’ve just got a lot of feelings rooted in the long context of watching Sam and Dean struggle with their childhood memories, with their lives as John’s little soldiers, and everything they’ve learned in the intervening years that have actually contextualized the suffering they endured. They’ve learned it wasn’t all entirely John’s Terrible Parenting, and that even he was manipulated by cosmic nonsense into the situation they were raised in. I mean, yeah, they’re not blind to the specific choices HE made along the way in reaction to the cosmic nonsense, and it’s not like they’re just forgiving him for all the terrible things he did to them, but heck, they are actually seeing the bigger picture here, and John’s part in it all is so far in the past for them as to be easier than they ever imagined it could be to set that bag down and walk forward down the road now, you know?
The one I’m actually concerned for is Mary, because for her it’s only about two and a half years out beyond where she learned John was dead, and she hasn’t had an entire lifetime to deal with this yet like Sam and Dean have. Plus she just got another cosmic screw-over. For John it may have been an easy choice to go back to his life where she’d died decades ago, if it meant that Sam and Dean could someday get their mom back. But for Mary? She had the wound of John’s loss reopened just as it was beginning to heal over and now suddenly she feels that pain fresh again. Because if it weren’t for her, would dean and Sam have chosen to keep their wish, with their alternate lives, if it meant having John back? I mean, no I don’t think they would’ve, but the wish would only allow them to have one or the other, not both, which meant she would lose John all over again.
And heck, isn’t that what Bobby said back in 5.15 when he was losing hope for stopping the apocalypse? When he had to kill Karen again?
DEAN: Hey, look, I don't know squat from shinola about love, but... At least you got to spend five days with her, right?BOBBY: Right. Which makes things about a thousand times worse. She was the love of my life. How many times do I got to kill her?
And I can only assume that’s about how Mary feels right at that moment. Because maybe she didn’t kill John directly, but the cosmic joke makes her the indirect reason for his death in 2.01 (her deal with Azazel come back around), and her very existence was the reason he went back in time to suffer that same fate again. Owwww.
So, no, I don’t think they brushed past this trauma for the sake of a reunion episode. Because I have context of the entire last 14 seasons of the show telling me otherwise.

Supernatural
So I saw this at @mayalaen (who got it from @intotheruins) and it looked like fun so I decided to play too.
It’s not painfully obvious at all who my favorit character is!
1. What season did you start watching supernatural? - I had rented season one disk one twice (and loved it both times) before I was awesome enough to give me sister Season 1 for Christmas (and regretted it ever since because 1. It took over my life and 2. I gave it away instead of keeping for my self.) Season two had just started airing( I think, it was forever ago) at that time so I was a little late to the party but not that late.
2. Who was the first character you fell in love with? - Dean, and I have stayed in love with him ever since but I love most of the other once to, just not like Dean.
3. Who was a character that you hated at first but grew to love? - Meg probably, I hated her in the beginning because of the way she treated Dean.
4. Which character would you most want to be in a long-term relationship with? - The first name that popped into my head was Dean, but less face it, he has issues so I'm not sure he would be the best choices. So I would like to go back in time and pick season one Dean or young John Winchester.
5. If you could go on just one date with one character, which one would you choose? - If we take away the obvious choice (Dean) I would say Charlie.
6. What would you do on the date? - Just geek out over everything!
7. Which character would you most want to be like? - Charlie, because she is just awesome!
8. Which character would you most like to see brought back from the dead? - (aside from Castiel) Charlie, Benny, Bobby, John. If we are talking bad guys: Crowley and Yellow eyes.
9. Which character would you most like to punch? - There are so many! A side from all the bad guys (Dick, Metatron, Uriel, Zachariah, most of the Campbells, Gordon...) I would say I would like to punch Sam and Dean every once in a while. More Sam then Dean. But when they are fighting or keeping secrets for some lame reason, I would like to hit them.
10. Who is your absolute favorite character? - Aside form Dean? Charlie, Benny and Cas.
11. Which “big bad” do you think was the worst? - Crap, I have to choose? Lucifer probably wins in all over bad, but I think Azazel has taken the most from the boys. Lilith also gets a point for just creeping me out.
12. Which character are you most like? - I like to say Charlie because I'm passionate about the things I love but my friends and family might say I'm more of a Becky.
13. What death hit you the hardest? - Bobby, I was not expecting his death and I will never forgive them for killing him. Charlie was a close second.
14. What season finale hit you the hardest? - One, not only did I have to worry about if someone died but I was terrified that the Impala was ruined and would not come back. After that season two or three were I had to worry about Dean dying (plus Sam's death in season two was really sad).
15. What are your ten all-time favorite episodes? - I wonder if this is how my mother feels when I ask her which of her children she loves the most. If I have to choose (Not necessarily in the right order): 1. Pilot 2. Wendigo 3. Phantom Traveler 5. Dead in the Water 6. Devil's Trap 7. Tall Tales 8. What Is and What Should Never Be 9. Yellow Fever 10 Lazarus Rising Honourable mention: Bad Day at Black Rock, Lazarus Rising ,In the Beginning, The French Mistake, The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo, First Born and Regarding Dean.
16. What’s been your favorite season? - I absolutely love the first one. Nine is a close second.
17. Who is your favorite angel? - Castiel, Gabriel after him.
18. Who’s your favorite demon? - Crowley, yellow eyes and Cain.
19. Who’s your favorite evil character? - Old yellow eyes will always hold a special place in my heart. Close second is young Lilith, who was just creepy which I loved.
20. Do you have any supernatural ships? - Dean/Cas and Dean/Benny can't choose which one I like more.
21. Who’s your favorite supporting actor? - Ty, Felicia and Kim.
22. What’s your favorite quote from the show? - Hunting things, saving people, the family business. Then Driver picks the music, shotgun keeps his pie shut and finally That was scary!
23. If you could cast one famous actor in an episode of spn, who would you chose? - Ryan Reynolds because I love him and I think he would fit well in with those jokers. After him I would love to see Danneel Ackles as some super evil character that would go more after Dean then all the others.
24. If you could write your own episode, what kind of creature would you like to see included? - I would like something to do with Hear/See/Say No Evil, so a witch maybe?
25. Who’s your favorite girl that dean’s hooked up with? - Does the Impala count? No? Fine, Lisa probably since Dean was so happy with her being a yoga instructor.
26. Who’s your favorite girl that sam’s hooked up with? - Jessica.
27. What are some of your favorite convention moments? - The whole Jensen/Misha panels at JIB 2015 and that time Ty was trying to get Jensen to laugh.
28. If you were going to guest star (or be a recurring guest star) on spn, how would you want your character described? - I totally agree with both  @intotheruins and @mayalaen  that I’d love to be a completely insane villain but I would add that Dean would kill me in the end. Plus I would want to steal the Impala at least once!
29. What do you hope to see in the next season? - I would like to see more Purgatory and more hunt of the week.
30.-40. If you had to choose… Bobby or John? Bobby Bela or Ruby? Cassidy's Ruby! (Bela nr 2 and Gen's Ruby nr.3)I loved Cassidy's Ruby attitude so I was a little disappointed when Gen's Ruby didn't have quite the same attitude (Love Gen though and I admire that she wanted to make the character hers, I just missed the old one) Jess or Madison? Jess Jo or Lisa? Jo Charlie or Kevin? Charlie Balthazar or Ash? Tough one but Ash. Cas or Crowley? Cas, but I want, no NEED, a Summer of Love with Crowley every once in a while. Ben or Claire? Ben Jody or Donna? Jody Sam or Dean? If I didn't say Dean I would be lying.
Tagging: @trickstermoose67 and @lotrspnfangirl
I’m tagging my betas because I’d really love to know all your answers, but there’s no obligation to play, and if anybody else wants to play and I haven’t tagged you, please consider yourself tagged :)
