I think the thing that bugs me is that there are tons and tons of flaws of Donnie, April, and Casey love triangle and all of their relationships in general. But April is always the one blamed??? Like yall know this isn't "April being manipulative" and "the writers are lazy (but smart lol) because they are doing a really shitty trope that was used in early 10s to keep viewer retention"
Like there is a reason that April never rejects either of them. That she always flirts with Casey and kisses Donnie. There is a reason that Donnie basically never flat out confesses to April or never addresses the fact that she kisses him or asks her whether she likes him. Casey also never straight up tells her he likes her, he's also just super flirty. It's basically that tension and "plot point" will never die. So you have the two of them always falling over her and her never ending up with either of them, rejecting them or actually talking about anything. And than that means Casey and Donnie can always fight or will always have something that will make them mad at each.
Yes even tho it's aimed at kids. There were still fans online. Do you know what that means? Fandom fighting. It creates people talking about it. I mean look at twilight or the hunger games. People were always talking about team Edward or Jacob or who Katniss will end up with. I mean even before the internet was widely used. That's all you were hearing preteens and teen girls talking about.
So I guess that's what bothers me. Because it's so obvious what these writers did. People still fall for it 😭

I feel so seen by the Catholic schoolgirl I-. I remember we would stay from 6 am to 3-4 pm in a school where the only males were an 80 year old and a priest that we saw once a month for mass. It was a howling mess whenever the military school went out to practice their military march and their guerrilla practice hahahahah
ooooohhh you too! We also had the old guy and priest, the horrible schedule, and the large amounts of homework to make sure you didn't leave home the rest of the day x'd but you were so lucky!
We were like in the middle of nothing, so we only witnessed the occasional lost drunk haha We met with the guys from military school like twice a year, and it was nice. Never did I get to see mutual catcalling as passionate as that one, where you knew everyone was going to get punished but all still did an incredible effort to let everyone around know that they clearly had no contact with the opposite sex.

Day 4: Parting gift - Fluffynightkiller week hosted by @help-im-a-gay-fish
I grew up with the moto that « you never know if it’s the last them you see them » so we used to kiss and tell « love you » to each other so that we never had regrets. So it’s the only thing i could think of, and oh boy, after day 3, Ccino deserved some cute love! But he’s not used to so he is mostly surprised, he!
Nightmare belongs to jokublog
Ccino belongs to black-nyanko
Killer belongs to rahafwabas

I just noticed something really interesting between MCR and Lestat.
Ok, so I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love by My Chemical Romance was released on 2002, and Queen of the Damned was released too on 2002. And there's this reference in both of them...
On I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love there's the song I will focus about: Vampires will never hurt you. Obviously, the main point here is the vampire, with both this song and the film (an adaptation of the second and third book of Vampire Chronicles, focusing on Lestat). But this is not about the meaning or the characters, no...
it's about the videoclips.
For those that don't know about Queen of the Damned, it focuses on both past of Lestat (XVIII century) and his experience coming back from "coma" on the 80s. Long story short, he becomes a Rockstar, and because of this, QOTD has 3 videoclips: System, Redeemer and Forsaken, all three written my Jonathan Davies (singer of KoRn) and, in some versions, sung by him too.
I will focus on the videoclip for Forsaken. The song is great, listen to it, but for this, watch it. The references to The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Das Kabinette des Dr. Caligari) are obvious, it is mostly a tribute to that film, and it catches the essence of it (maybe even spoils you the end).
Now, watch Vampires will never hurt you's videoclip. Notice something? Well, it isn't a direct reference to the plot of Das Kabinette (I will touch this later), but there is to German Expressionism. Look at the windows and dramatism of the eyebags... Yes, I thought of this parallelism for obvious reasons.
But you might think, "that is not enough, German Expressionism isn't only Das Kabinette". Well, I ask you to look at this short edit for Das Kabinette. MCR uses hard lighting, stops middle way to put some lines... ok, obvious, add to that the man-woman romance and the man being an outcast. Yep.
At first I thought "what a coincidence, maybe one of them was inspired by the other", well... MCR's album (including the videoclip, it was shown at the record release show) was released on May 27, 2002; Queen of the Damned, February 22, 2002. So we see that there was 3 months for MCR to see it, get inspiration and create based on the Forsaken videoclip. "Oh but it takes time and they must have thought about it befo-", WHY? It was recorded May 15-27 of the same year, this means, a minimum of 82 days for them to see it.
There are little coincidences on this life, my people!
Now what we need to know is: Is this true? And there are two ways out:
It was a mere coincidence. Both videoclips about vampires had the same movie as an inspiration (weird thing ngl). This would bring the question: Why is this movie such an inspiration for vampire-related pop-culture?
It was premeditated, just no one thought about it before for some strange reason.
So, tumblr community: Help me figure this out. Should we try to reach Gerard Way? Should we try to reach other members that worked on the project?
I trust you, tumblr, do your magic!!!!
