Do NOT paint over a screen shot and then lie to the children and call it a “sketch.” Wtf is wrong with you‽ You will fool a certain amount of people, and those people, young people who LOOK UP TO YOU, will be confused and discouraged when they can’t replicate your “style” via conventional means. We can see the goddam film grain on the remaining portions of the screen shot, ffs.

Look- I’m not here to police art. If painting over stuff is your vibe, I totally support you. But don’t goddam lie about it. You are poisoning the well, and when the kids who follow you grow up, they will lose all respect for you.

And just so you know- you are not fooling the pros.

As someone who has memory issues, disociative amnesia at that, and does have issues similar to James in the sense of "I forget where I got this info from"

Search your history and copy paste every single website you visit about the topic, you can weed it out later

Simple as that, just copy down all the urls in another place, weed it out as you go, need something to do but have no energy to write? Weed that list out

One thing I find deeply frustrating is whenever you go “This piece of medía looks really good and like something I would enjoy however when I tried to get into it, I found it contains a great deal of things that I find extremely triggering which sucks because it otherwise sounds like something I’d really enjoy” and someone goes “Oh that sucks, I’m sorry you’re missing out it is REALLY GOOD and you WOULD love it!”
