Went to a training that contained mostly undergrad and graduate students today.
Trainer: So it's vitally important if you work in biology that you have the Hepatitis B vaccine. However, it's mandatory for going into kindergarten so unless your parents opted out or you have some medical reason, you've probably already had it. Call your parents or PCP to check, next slide...
Me, the person who is dragging the average age of the room up by being approximately a decade ahead of anyone: Hey when was it made mandatory, do you know?
Trainer, visibly 20: Oh, forever ago, like the 90's

Yeah we all know “He would not fucking say that” but can we please also talk about “Oh my god HE would fucking say that”. When you see something in-character you can hear it in character’s voice. Peace and love on the planer earth

the real horror of House of Leaves is being Karen and having 600 magazine articles and academic essays about why you're a stupid skanky no-good bitch slut whore

Ok re: the post about there not being queerphobia in Exandria, this also obviously applies to Candela Obscura, and this makes Leo's character extremely funny because Taliesin (actual queer person living in our real world) absolutely drew from the "confirmed bachelor" archetype in creating a gay man living modestly but not without style off a small trust fund (not a confirmed bachelor, perhaps but there's some Prior Walter vibes here for sure). However, often this sort of character is a disappointment to his wealthy family because he's gay, and that's not why Leo is a disappointment; he is just unemployed by choice and a massive bitch.
