*just based on my observations, only take what resonates

(Sorry it’s been a minute, I got my time back then I got sick- like same day! I’m good now, thank god, but it was absolutely insane and everything has been going on in the world, my God)
-If your moon opposes your ascendant you may be known for making the wrong impressions on people (especially first impressions) at some point in your life
-Not the first time I said this but I feel like Libra Asc tend to need to balance out aspects of their life more bc of their houses having the opposite signs over them.
-On the other hand I feel like Aries asc have a very straightforward, sometimes less complicated world view bc of their houses lining up with their traditional rulers.
-Mars in determemt and fall (Libra, cancer, 12th house) really gives you a finite amount of stamina

-I feel like cancer venus/moons tend to wax the most poetically and romantically about the nostalgia they feel. Even stronger for Venus.
-Men with cancer placements be like: I didn’t know I was manipulating you into being nice to me until it was already happening (lmao oof)
-I noticed Aries and Scorpio Sun men/masc folks can get romanticized a lot, I think this is bc their identity is ruled by mars traditionally, so they tend to be assigned more masculine traits/act their traits out in a more “traditionally” (or even just comfortably) masculine way
-Aqua Sun/asc/venus usually have some features that makes their face really stand out I noticed (unique brow/nose/head shape etc) (idk why I haven’t seen this with moons as much)
-Signs in your 8th house may come off as mysterious or hard to understand
-You may find it really easy to vibe with people that have Sun conjunct your Asc

-I’ve noticed that a lot of Virgo mars may eat like really spicy or punishing foods (especially if the mars is in a fire house)
-Saturn aspecting your big 3 can help you age really well- depending on how well you take care of yourself (extreme example: dick van dyke, he’s almost 100 and he’s still jumping around with so much energy)
-Pisces placements can be like incredibly intelligent and yet still come off as a bit spacey (one of my favorite YouTubers used to head extra credits and he is SO SMART, like just a seriously huge capacity for knowledge but he sounds spacey when he does his chill gameplays and pieces things together unscripted lol)
-Jupiter square/opposition Sun can make you come off as overly pessimistic, it can also make you come off as optimistic at the wrong times (laughing at serious moments, etc)
-Taurus placements are so motivated by food, it’s so real (the amount of times I’ve had a Taurus sun/moon/mars not hear a word I was saying bc they were scoping out a restaurant? Countless lol)
-I notice a lot of rappers & musicians (especially the innovative ones) have major Pisces placements

-Aries moons get emotional fulfillment by winning what they chase after (Aries in big 6 tends to make you go after things in general too imo)
-I noticed sometimes Leo moon can make you a bit self centered, like in the most literal sense, you may have trouble understanding perspectives outside of your own
-Virgos and Geminis and 3rd/6th house placements have great memory but they tend to forget certain aspects. They tend to forget or mix up details. (My ex took like 3 years to remember my middle name beyond the first initial lol god; also, I always remember zodiac signs but not birthdays lol)
-I love how Joe Pera has a cancer Mercury and his comedy is like the coziest comedy I’ve ever heard, he even got his following bc his helping people fall asleep and just talking through his chill podcast (did not expect him to have like the most fire in his chart tho?? Wouldn’t have guessed lol)- Pisces Mercury and Mercury with hard aspects to Neptune probably have a cozy affect on others when they communicate with them too

FUN FACT: Did you know Frieza had a finite amount of soldiers on Namek? (And he doesn't kill his troops.)
Also Appule is kind of important and there's a clearly marked place where Goku's six-day space journey happens in the timeline?
I have a laundry list of grievances with the Dragon Ball and DBZ animes. We're here to talk about one of those right now! The Z anime gives Frieza infinitely respawning soldiers that just seem to pour out of his ship whenever he needs them.
This interferes with a key plot point of Frieza's portion of the Namekian Dragon Ball hunt: That Frieza, for all his power, is rendered helpless when his attack on Moori's village goes south.

A consistent weakness of Frieza's forces is that they fight blind. By this point in the series, characters on Earth have been taught advanced fantasy martial arts involving manipulation of ki or chi. They can concentrate ki into attacks more powerful than the wielder, sense ki in other beings and feel incoming attacks without having to see them, suppress ki to become invisible to ki detection, etc. etc.
The Earthlings are goddamn amazing at ki manipulation, and the Namekians are just as good.

But Frieza's Planet Trade Organization represents the uncaring hand of capitalism. There is no artistry in their methods. There is no true discipline or understanding. They're a bunch of paid thugs with guns, looking to gentrify planets for their boss: a real estate mogul. So they rely on fallible technology that fails time and time again when put up against experienced martial artists.

The battle at Muri's village is no exception, as Frieza's forces get slaughtered by the "harmless" interlopers.

Which, in turn, gives Muri the opening he needs to cripple Frieza's campaign by destroying the Scouters they're using to track down Namekian villages.

This is Muri's checkmate. Muri destroys the Scouters, the technology Frieza relies on to find Namekian villages on this planet and take their Dragon Balls. Meanwhile, his reinforcements wipe out Frieza's army.

That guy right is the only survivor of the massacre.
This is Appule. If you've ever wondered why Appule was so important that he got to be his own distinct character in Tenkaichi 3, this is why. Appule is the last grunt left standing.
Though Dodoria makes short work of the Namekian warriors, the damage is done. Frieza's lost his Scouters and he's out of manpower. He's going to have to fan his men out to search the planet, a planet larger than Earth, by looking around with their eyes. And the only men he has left to do that are Zarbon, Appule, and Dodo--

...are Zarbon and Appule.
So. Y'know. Frieza is two deaths short at this point of being completely and utterly fucked sideways.
As his two remaining men set out to search, Zarbon takes great care to tell Appule not to do anything that might get him killed.

It is absolutely pivotal for Frieza's campaign that these two live. There is no one else on this planet who can do the job. It's Appule who ultimately succeeds in finding the last Namekian village.

For some reason, in their eagerness to rewrite the story so that there are far more soldiers on Namek for some reason, the anime makes this Appule's vampire cousin?

Uh. Okay, man. Sure. In any case, it's Appule who finds the village and Appule who reports its destruction to Frieza. He's not a significant character by any stretch, but you can see why he warrants a bit more name recognition than Frieza Soldier #72. He has more impact on the plot that Cui does, that's for damn sure.
Too bad about Vegeta though.

It's a lot easier for Vegeta to get away with this gambit in the manga than it is in the anime. In the anime, somehow the infinitely respawning Frieza soldiers (who he regularly kills for funsies) flooding the halls don't give away the fact that Vegeta's still here.
But with Appule dead, Zarbon and Frieza are the only people left alive in the ship. It's a lot easier to distract two people for a minute than a limitless garrison.
In the manga, this is the closest Frieza ever gets to team-killing one of his own soldiers. Once he realizes Vegeta has stolen all five of his Dragon Balls, has a sixth Dragon Ball stashed away, and is now just one Dragon Ball away from immortality while Frieza's blind and understaffed? All because Zarbon fucked up?
He says some shit.

So. Yeah. He's not above killing his men when they fuck up so bad that they cost him immortality and give his most dangerous archnemesis the means to topple his empire and end him.
But that's a much higher bar to clear than shooting down his infinitely respawning dudes because, uh....
*checks notes* With the Ginyu Force on their way, Frieza can afford to kill his own guys because the Ginyus are better than them anyway. So he keeps them all in the ship and murders them for no reason despite the fact that Vegeta is actively making off with his Dragon Balls right this second and he has no idea to where.
Yeah. That's. Uh. That's a pretty significant story difference. In any case, Frieza's campaign grinds to a screeching halt when....

That's it. That is the very last one. Frieza's campaign is sunk. Until the Ginyu Force arrives, Frieza has no forces and no resources left. He is an unbelievably powerful man, the most powerful in the universe, and the only way he could ever hope to catch up to Vegeta is by flying aimlessly around a colossal planet and looking for Vegeta with his eyes.
I've often heard people express confusion about where Goku's six-day transit is supposed to fit into the Namekian timeline. This, right here? This is it. At this moment, it's over for Frieza. For the next five days, he is soundly defeated. He's out of the race for the Dragon Balls entirely.
And the only reason Vegeta hasn't won the race is because of that one Ball Gohan smuggled away from him.
So Frieza, defeated, is forced to sit in his broken ship with his thumb up his ass and wait for reinforcement.

Vegeta, with six Dragon Balls, is forced to sit on his balls with his thumb up his ass hoping the talented martial artist Earthlings currently suppressing their ki signatures get stupid and give him something to detect - knowing that if he leaves for a second, those little shits with the Dragon Radar might scoop 'em up from under him.

While Gohan and Krillin, with ki signatures suppressed, make the five-day trek at minimum power to Saichoro/Guru.

i might be getting ahead of myself here, but are we lilith ?? like is that what's happening rn ??? he's not saying mc's name, and raphael doesn't day their name in the next scene...if so then that's actually really fucking sad 💀
it makes sense though, belphie not wanting mc to go into his head bc he's still clinging to the past and doesn't want to lose them forever like he lost his little sister forever, especially since human life is so finite compared to that of a demon or an angel or a reaper
also it's obvious by his choice of words that despite him looking older, belphie is very, very young in his mindscape, just like mammon was. i feel like this also shows how close mams and belphie are even if it's not shown much on screen in the game, or at least how much belphie takes after mammon's, if not all of his older brothers traits, for better or worse

i wonder how similar mammon and belphie's bond in the celestial realm is to their bond in the devildom. is belphie still as reluctant to ask for help and advice openly? is the banter still the same? are there less insults? how does the age gap here cause them to treat each other differently if at all? or the lack of angelic status?

we know belphie's love of stars and constellations and the night sky in general started when he was in the celestial realm, and seeing it manifest in mammon in his mindscape makes my heart happy, even if mammon isn't the reason he became interested in astronomy (was it michael? lucifer? idk i don't remember)
i also think it's very interesting how belphie's brain is actively working against him "wanting to hide from mc". he literally said "i don't want you to see the inside of my mind" and is hiding away from them. i think, in reality and in his mindscape, he's running from the fact that he has to face his feelings about the idea of mc leaving to go to the "human realm" and the possibility of losing them forever like he lost lilith

ok so we're here in the timeline...interesting. how much time passed between luci and dia's first meeting and the celestial war? how much time had passed between the celestial war and mc's initial arrival to the devildom? how much had belphie aged?
angels and demons age different than humans do, and belphie doesn't feel any older than like...10 or 11 at the most, but beel seems older than that. maybe its his mind warping things to make himself seem and feel younger, but maybe he really was that young. was lilith even born at this point? how old was belphie during the time of the war ?????
also i'm mad we didn't get to see michael bc i wanna know what he looks like but oh well 🧍🏾

i'm not the biggest belphie fan AT ALL, at least canon belphie, but i think it's necessary to acknowledge how his trauma severely affects the way he acts. he went from blaming himself, to blaming an entire race of people for his sister's death. he feels like he should've been the one to die, even if it meant leaving his twin without him
now, if he got a proper redemption arc after lesson 16, THEN we could talk. i think the devs fumbled his character in that regard, but my hcs about his redemption will have to suffice for now
he didn't want mc to see this dark part of himself because he hates that he still has this mindset, that he's trapped in a cycle of "what ifs" and wishing it were him instead of her, constantly ruminating and letting his anger and grief fester without ever dealing with it properly and letting himself heal. he not only thinks he doesn't deserve to heal, but that he doesn't deserve to live long enough to see himself heal, that he doesnt deserve to live at all

i love and hate the fact that he's so smart. like, they could easily just ask barbatos to send them back to the human realm if it was that serious. he's clearly taken a liking to them. lucifer knows something's up, and he won't forge a pact with them until he gets to the bottom of whatever's going on

initially, i thought it was a spell to bring them back since he'd been the one facilitating the trips into the brothers' mindscapes this whole time, but this is wayyy more interesting
i feel like the barbatoses communicate across timelines, or that their lives intermingle with each others' somehow, so whatever they feel for one person in a specific timeline is felt for ever version of them in every timeline. we know barbatos, at the very least, knows that kayden is an important person in the grand scheme of things, whether it be because of the way diavolo feels about them or because they play a large part in the obey me version of a canon event
if it's more than base level importance, we can assume that there's a level of trust and love that barbatos feels for mc that stretches across time (callback to the login screen's dialogue)
maybe he gave us the piece of the grimoire for a reason outside of belphie's mindscape escapades. what if this is how we gain lucifer's trust? if a demon as powerful as barbatos can give mc a piece of his grimoire, then he should be able to make a pact with them, seeing as they're trustworthy enough to be in cahoots with THE time demon
anyways barbatos is nightbringer and you can't tell me otherwise. unless you think it's michael. then i might hear you out...i'm stuck between thinking either of them is the titular character simply because of the simultaneous lack and abundabce of emphasis on michael's importance

But no other god had seen what he saw in your eyes (or else a war would have been fought on Olympus for you by now). It wasn't just the beautiful color of your orbs, but the way they glowed with intense passion, deep rage, and endless bravery, that finally made the god of war fall for you. Even today, so many years later, Ares loves looking into your eyes, where there is still an intense fire that he knows will never fade.

The goddess was used to receiving thousands of questions and pleas for help from mortals, who in these more modern days used to come to her only as a kind of living encyclopedia.
But you didn't. In fact, she had never even seen you set foot in her temple before. You were a completely different creature, full of curiosity about all the creation of the world, everything was fascinating to you, and she loved your questions, especially the simple ones, because they didn't come from a need beyond the simple fact of wanting to learn. It was something the world needed, and she was willing to protect you for it.

Demeter loved that sound, he loved the way your eyes and nose crinkled, how you showed your perfect teeth, how your stomach bounced slightly with the force of your joy. It was the sound of life, and she swore to protect it until time took it to infinity and the silence of death replaced it.

Hades loved your hands, not just because of how beautiful they were or how soft your skin was, but because of everything they represented to him. He was the god of death, he was used to ending things, destroying them, reducing them to nothing. But you? you created, you used your hands to bring new objects and ideas to life, you were the opposite of him and that never ceased to amaze him.
He loved your touches too, of course. He was used to the tedious humid heat of the underworld, the kind that is terribly unbearable, that makes you sweat and your clothes stick to your body. But you had shown him another kind of warmth, a soft and gentle one, that ran through his body like a calm light every time you caressed his cheek or took his hand.

As the herald of the gods and the fastest god on Olympus, Hermes was used to a hectic, fast-paced life with chaos always following him wherever he went. That's why it was a huge surprise to everyone when he introduced you as his partner, because you were the complete opposite of him.
However, it took Apollo and Athena only a couple of minutes to realize why Hermes loved you so much. You were perfect for him, precisely because you balanced him, because in the midst of all his chaos, you were always standing there, ready to be the immovable pillar, the security and stability that he needed so much. It didn't matter if you treated him like a little boy from time to time, he loved it.

It might sound simple and almost comical right? That the goddess of magic, someone who could create absolutely anything with the snap of her fingers, would be so fascinated by something as simple and vain as mortal hair.
But it was precisely that simplicity that drew her. Hecate was aware of the wonders she could do and why mortals came to her daily, but that you let her play with your hair allowed her to anchor herself to the world, to the fact that she could be more than magic, that's why she loved so much spending hours brushing it while you worked your own magic on her, the simple one that only required a smile and a cup of tea.

She was used to the cold of Helheim, to the thousands of lamentations of the souls in pain and to the feeling of loneliness that always nestled in her chest. That's why she loved so much when you went to visit her.
You were always smiling, you were always happy, your voice traveled to the last corner of the gloomy place and your presence seemed to radiate a warm and comforting light, the souls seemed serene and almost happy while they played with you. You were life itself arriving at the place of death, and Hela loved you for it, enough to push the fear of the day that light went out to the back of her mind.

Canon in videogames (ascended astarion rant adjacent)
So I noticed that a lot of the comments disagreeing with me seeing Ascended Astarion/Tav as a toxic relationship tends to focus on a particular way to see canon.
In media that is fixed (no viewer input more than reading/watching/interpreting) canon is pretty easy to define, and of course there will be interpretation above it (and headcanons too). And I thought canon was pretty easy to define in videogames, but clearly not? Or maybe it is and I am being fooled??
So I am writing this post so that every time someone comes at me with the same argument over and over again, I can just redirect them here.
So the argument seems to be this: "Ascended Astarion is not toxic because I never broke up with him, so my character and me did not see him acting toxic", or "Well, I did not play as Karlach, so Astarion did not react badly to my character at all" (the Karlach scene is this one). More on Ascended Astarion and my opinions on how he sees love and relationship here.

The thing is, I do not think this makes much sense for what we consider canon. The answer I usually get is "This is an rpg where you create your story". Yeah... within the confines of a set world.
I imagine videogame canon like this:

Everything on the bottom is given by the writers. That is the canon world. By the nature of the videogame that world can also change, but it is not as infinite as the player's imagination. The player is the one that in classic rpgs has infinite amounts of possible stories and backgrounds that can be expressed with a finite amount of choices.
These choices enact upon the world (ex. in Fable I can kill everyone in the village and the people will call the guards on me), on objects (ex. drinking from the Well in Dragon Age Inquisition) and on characters (ex. helping Vivienne's quest).
These are big choices, but there are also small ones of simple interactions. I imagine it like a bouncing ball. As the player I throw things at the world/objects/characters and they will respon in a certain way based on how they are written.
For example, I can ask Astarion: "Hey, what colors were your eyes before you turned into a vampire?" and he as a CHARACTER who is written by writers will reply in a certain way. In what way? Usually in a way that is directly correlated to his characterization. So, he is going to answer "I don't remember." This dialogue was chosen and written by people (real human beings) with the intent of telling a story.
Now, in rpgs like Baldur's Gate 3 (but I think it is more visible in rpgs like Pathfinder and Dragon Age), world and characters change with choices. So what you get bouncing back at you is not the same static character.
Ex. let's take Dragon Age, let's take Isabela from Dragon Age 2. As the player you will meet Isabela and she will be written as "character Isabela". All your interaction with her are: Player -> Dialogue; Isabela -> Answers with Isabela-specific dialogue. These dialogues characterize who Isabela is, her role in the story, her backstory etc.
Through the game, Isabela will take two possible paths thanks to the interactions with the player, so the Isabela-path1 will have specific answers that will be associated to her character development, same for Isabela-path2.

So the player can influence the direction of the character but the player does not substitute the character with their own headcanon... the writers wrote that path, that direction, and now the new Isabela's answers will help the player see the consequences of their choices.
For objects and less interactive npcs it is similar:
You have the world. There is a cat in the world. You meet the cat and the player knows the cat is there.

Now, the point is this:
What happens to the cat if the player does not explore that part of the world/city? Is the cat still part of the canon?
The answer (in my opinion) is yes. Because we know 100% that videogame are written as finite creations (at least rpg), save from patches. So we know 100% as a fact that in the story of the videogame Baldur's Gate, Myshka the cat is there even if the player does not find them or visit them. That is why using playthrough and guides if something we can do.
The same happens with characters.
If I ask Astarion "What is the worst thing that ever happened to you" in act 3, he will reply "Being buried alive".
If I don't ask Astarion the question... does this mean that we are playing a game where he could reply ANYTHING else? Does this mean that he was never buried alive just because as the player I did not explore those options?
Of course not.
Astarion is a fixed character (like Isabela) who can change path into another FIXED character.
So imagine Astarion like a bottle. He has all these things: lore, characterization, a path, how he reacts - these are all written IN HIM, because he is a fictional character created by writers and not by the player. As the player you can poke and throw him in a blender, and ask and insist, and you will get answers from him. Answers based on his characterization.
What happens if you do not ask the questions?
What happens is that the characterization is still there, but as the player you did not get to see it. For example, many players do not know that Astarion was buried alive by Cazador, but the fact is still canon and still part of his backstory.
When you choose to ascend him, you are influencing a path - but you cannot control the consequences. You push him in a direction but the direction, the characterization, is fixed and written by the creators of the game (and Astarion).
So it does not matter that the player will never choose the option to break up with Ascended Astarion after the ending - very rarely people choose those option, if not to try out of curiosity, as this is the very end of the game - it does not matter because what matters is what the answers tell us of his character. Which is that he now completly controls Tav and takes away their agency.
So someone can play the whole Ascended Astarion as the perfect romance, and imagine that their created character thinks of it as the perfect romance. But as the player, you are aware that you are choosing dialogues, you are aware of the fact that if you choose the wrong dialogue you will uncover more of Ascended Astarion's characterization.
"I would never break up with Astarion in my game so he is not toxic in there" makes no sense, because the point is that "The writers wrote Ascended Astarion as this kind of character, by not breaking up I am roleplaying NOT UNCOVERING this toxicity." The toxicity/abusiveness still exists, it is simply hidden for roleplay reason... but you, as the player, should know how videogames work.

opinions on the next book being about nesta (again) and reviving the dusk court to become valkyrie HQ? just to be clear, the theories are that it's an azriel/nesta centric book, but azriel/gwyn are the narrators bc it's still gonna be a gwynriel book, apparently
Let me take my Nesta hater cap off for a second.
Her getting another book does not make sense and is high unlikely. Short answer: there’s not enough plot left to give each sister more than one book and given how Acosf left off, it’s clear that that won’t happen.
Long answer: If Nesta was getting more books then Sjm wouldn’t have shoved her healing all into one. Acosf wouldn’t have been rushed as much as it was and the end wouldn’t have been as “finite”. A lot of things that happen in her book would have been done later (like her getting into bed with Cassian which happened way too soon in my opinion but that’s another conversation).
Think of how Feyre’s books ended during her trilogy. Acotar ended after she had just been killed, turned Fae, and was entering arguably the lowest point of her life. Acomaf ended…a damn mess to say the least. And finally Acowar’s ending is very similar to Acosf’s. Feyre’s not fully healed but on the right road to it and ended up with Rhysand (and acofas is kind of a continuation of that). Feyre’s last book directly mirrors the ending of Nesta’s first and last book (Acosf).
If Sjm was planning to write more Nesta centric books then she would have left Acosf’s ending more open like she did with Feyre’s books. Yet she didn’t.
Now I can maybe see her giving Nessian a novella like she did Feysand but I don’t think she likes them enough to.
Also in reference to the Dusk Court…it already belongs to Rhys. It’s his territory and it’s even stated that even if it’s an 8th Court, it still falls under his jurisdiction. He’s literally blood bound to it. The only way the Dusk Court is going to became a Valkyrie headquarters is if Rhys gives them permission for it seeing as his blood is the only thing that can open the gates. Again it all comes back to him. If that Court is revived it’s going to remain his as it’s always been.
And lastly why would Sjm write a Gwynriel book but have Nesta as the female center and not…Gwyn? Are some Gwynriels really pushing for that to happen? Wow.

“I… Listen. I loved you. And maybe, deep down, there’s a part of me that still does. But that part of me is so lost… it isn’t fair to me and it isn’t fair to you. I’ll see you around, okay? Take care of yourself.”
Jooyeon’s eyes widened at your words. You had argued the whole night, sure, but hearing you say this felt almost too finite, too final. Too real.
“You don’t mean that.” He said, finally finding his words, his voice coming out hoarse and broken.
“I do.” You replied, softly. Truthfully, you didn’t really know what you meant, you just knew that you needed a change. If you were being honest with yourself, you didn’t really feel like you fell out of love with Jooyeon. He was just so clingy and while it could be cute at times, those times were so few and far between that it wasn’t worth it anymore. 
His eyes brimmed with tears as he looked you up and down, trying to read you.
“(Y/N), wh- how do I fix this? What did I do wrong?” He all but whispered. You took a deep, shaky breath, shaking your head at the same time. 
“You didn’t do anything wrong, Joo.” You said, but you both knew that was a lie. Well, maybe not a lie, but it wasn’t the full truth either. It wasn’t necessarily wrong of him to be clingy, but the way he had been acting lately had been so restricting. You felt like you couldn’t do anything or go anywhere without him without it being an issue. Just yesterday, you had gone out for lunch with a friend, and despite coming home on a high, your mood had instantly dropped, with Jooyeon arguing with you, begging for every single detail. You couldn’t blame him for being insecure, you had your moments as well, but this was something that was now stopping you from being yourself. And the way you saw it, it didn’t make sense for him to be in a relationship with someone who was being insincere. 
“Obviously I did, or you wouldn’t be breaking up with me.” His words stung. He had a point.
“Jooyeon, I just…” You started, walking over to the stairs and sitting down on the steps. “I don’t want to hurt you. You deserve so much better.” You fought back your own tears.
“Please hurt me. Because as it stands right now, I’m hurting you without even knowing, which is hurting me a lot more than you ever could. I don’t care if you hate me, but I can’t lose you. Not without trying to fix it, at least. Please, (Y/N).” He sat cross legged in front of you. God, he looked so beautiful despite his sad, broken expression. The way he looked up at you made your heart ache, even if you were only a few inches taller than him the way you were sitting. There was a part of you that wanted to just take it all back, to just endure the clinginess and jealousy and to learn to be okay with it all if it meant that you didn’t have to hurt him like this. But as much as you could sit here and say that now, you knew that in two weeks time, when it would happen again, you wound find yourself back in this position, and that cycle of hurting the both of you was almost worst than ripping the bandaid off and hurting him now.
“I don’t hate you. I never could. I just need to be alone for a while, Jooyeon.” You said after a few moments of silence. 
“So be alone with me.” He pleaded, his hands reaching out but falling short, unsure of if he could or should touch you right now.
“No, Joo. That’s…” You sigh, “That’s the point. I need to be alone by myself. I need to do things by myself for a bit. I need to feel like I can go places and see people and just be myself without worrying about you waiting here to interrogate me or breathing down my neck if you come with me. I’m sorry.” You couldn’t even bring yourself to look in his eyes. You could see the tears fall from his cheeks, dripping onto the carpet beneath you two, and you could only imagine what his face looked like. The way his brown eyes were darker, rimmed with the redness of his sadness, the way his lip quivered. You heard him sniffle as he processed your words, and that alone caused your own dam of tears to break.
“Jooyeon, I’m sorry-” You started again. But you were quickly cut off by him putting his hand up to stop you.
“I get it. Believe it or not, I hate myself for how I act. I saw what I was doing, I just couldn’t stop.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?” You whisper softly.
“Why didn’t you?!” He asked back, his tone almost biting.
“Because I didn’t want to hurt you!” You said through a small sob.
“So breaking up with me after not talking about it is supposed to hurt less?” His tone was more angry and hurt than sad, and fuck, did it hurt you too, to know you did this. He was right, you should have just talked to him about it, instead of letting it get this far. But if he had realized how he was acting, why didn’t he stop?
“You continuing to do it despite realizing it was hurting me is supposed to be okay?” You bit back. 
“I didn’t realize it was hurting you so bad that you wanted to break up with me, (Y/N)"!”
“Bullshit!” You said, your own tears turning from sadness to anger. You had never raised your voice at him before now, let alone swearing at him like this. An air of awkward silence fell over the both of you. He bit the inside of his cheek, not wanting to lash out and keep the cycle going, hurting the both of you more than you already had.
You both looked at each other, tears falling from your eyes, the silence only being broken by the occasional hiccup or shaky deep breath. Finally, you spoke.
“Jooyeon, God, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that.” You whispered. If you could take every single thing back, you would in a heartbeat. Faster than a heartbeat. He said nothing in return, just looking over your features, trying to find any sort of emotion and sincerity behind them. And sure, he found sincerity in your apology, but he also found sincerity in the fact he had hurt you enough to get to this point. 
“No, (Y/N), I’m sorry.” He said, his voice quiet, low and gravelly. It was such a stark contrast to his usual voice. Frankly, you’d give anything in the world to hear him laugh right now. But you knew that you couldn’t. And what was scarier is that you probably just lost the chance to ever get the privilege to make him laugh again, let alone see him laugh at all. 
“I should go…” You said, after a long, uncomfortable while. He simply nodded, standing up and moving out of your way, walking up the stairs into what was once your shared bedroom. The same bedroom where you had made such incredible memories with him. You sighed, blinking away tears, going the opposite way, shutting the door behind you for the last time. As you stepped into the cold air of the night, your chest burned. You regretted everything. The fight, the fact you didn’t bring it up when it first started bothering you, the fact you hurt him more than anything or anyone had ever hurt you before. Now you could go wherever you wanted, do whatever you wanted, and see whoever you wanted. But at what cost?

Marta is to our Morty what Evil Morty is to the Central Finite Curve - both represent the part of Morty that wants to be free from Rick, no matter what the cost. Marta wants to stay in the video game and live out her full life away from Rick, and doesn't care about the fact that this means that a piece of Morty is now missing. Similarly, Evil Morty wants to escape from Rick, even if that means torturing and murdering thousands of Mortys in the process.
I would argue that Marta is a more sympathetic depiction of this than Evil Morty, which I think makes sense since we see her start out as being extremely loyal to Rick and then having her position challenged, whereas for Evil Morty we jumped into his arc once he was already well underway with his plan to escape Rick once and for all. If we are getting his backstory (as seems to be more and more likely), it will be interesting to compare this with Marta's.
Also, we see the nobler side of Marta's intentions - she does want to help save all the pieces of Morty, she is trying to advocate for Morty as a whole in his relationship with Rick, and she truly believes that she's making the right choice by staying behind in the video game if it means that all the other parts of Morty get saved. With Evil Morty, his only intention seems to be to save himself, no matter the cost to the other Mortys. However, when I spoke about this to @hazelnut-u-out, he made the very good point that Evil Morty does seem to consider his escape from Rick/the CFC a win for all Mortys, despite the harm he's causing to them. I think Marta and Evil Morty represent very similar parts of Morty's character, just at different stages/intensities.
It's also worth noting that Marta exists within Morty, whereas Evil Morty exists within the show itself, which is arguably reflective of Rick's perspective. From this angle, it makes a lot of sense that Marta is portrayed in a much more sympathetic light, since we experience her character from Morty's perspective, whereas Evil Morty is played as a villain because this is how Rick sees Morty wanting to break free of him.

so this video (it's pretty good, worth a watch) basically saved me having to clean up the big word salad post I was drafting but I'm gonna reiterate a few points -
firstly, this isn't mentioned in the video but I think it's so, so important: unlike the valentine author, Gaster has never, ever used a single contraction. Toriel is another character who never uses them, no matter how casual the context. for something like this to suddenly change for no reason makes no sense. Toby is meticulous. I genuinely believe this is a HUGE strike against it being Gaster, yet almost no one mentions it. next, the valentine author speaks as if they don't know us: "you seem reliable", "you are very odd". and as we know, Gaster's well acquainted with us by now, so it'd make no sense for him to speak to us this way. (but what it does lend credence to is this being a character we either haven't met before, or haven't extensively interacted with.) additionally, in all instances so far, Gaster's been keen, focused, sharp. why would he suddenly be so addled and confused? the author saying they forgot who they're supposed to help, and it possibly even being themself, doesn't point to Gaster either - in fact, just the opposite - because the idea of him being forgotten is pure fanon. the game explicitly states that Asgore took so long to hire a new royal scientist because Dr. Gaster's brilliance was irreplaceable. how would the king know that if he didn't remember? fictional characters, by their very nature, are presented to us in a deliberate and finite way; our interactions with them have specific purpose. this means that when we try to hold them to real-world standards like "I, a real live person, write differently depending on the occasion", it won't always hold up. we have to go by what precedents have already been set by the creator, in the context in which these characters exist. on occasions when characters in UT/DR have spoken in a different way than usual, the fundamental, anchoring traits of their speech still remain intact (see: contractions), which would not be the case if Gaster were the valentine author.
(and of course, this doesn't even touch on the Japanese translation highlighting how wildly different the speech styles are, which I personally put more stock in than they do in the video.) the last 3rd of the video is more opinion/headcanon-oriented but he makes his point well. even if you disagree with his perception of Gaster (I do to an extent), it's true that there's already no shortage of whimsical, silly, lighthearted characters in UT/DR, and surely, if Gaster were meant to be one of them, Toby wouldn't reveal it in a way that's so out of left field. I love silly goofy wingding man as much as the next guy, but I also agree that attributing this personality to him out of nowhere, when it's incongruent with everything we've seen so far, would only serve to undermine his character and the uniqueness of it. none of this is to knock anyone whose opinion differs from mine! I'm just laying my thoughts out, for whatever that's worth. I've seen an unfortunate tendency in the community to lump the valentine in with the tweets and gonermaker text as all being on the same level of "obviously Gaster", and then tout it as proof that their headcanons are real. (we all have our headcanons! just don't be a dick about it eh?) at the end of the day, personally, I try to absorb and cling to as much canon evidence as possible, scant though it may be. because what I really really want, is to know who Gaster is. in the truest sense, as he is intended to be by his creator.
(but isn't it wonderful how much we all love this character, no matter how differently we may see him? I mean ultimately if we're not having fun here, then what's the point, right?)
but yeah, give the vid a watch! it goes into more detail and makes more compelling points than my sleepless brain can atm. :p

what are your thoughts on the time aspect? ive always loved the theme of clocks, rhythm, death, and of course dave and aradia are the best characaters ever lmfaoooo. also random rambling: i feel like i often have this sort of ticking metronome in the back of my head that makes me feel very time-y and ive always LOVED music and cool antique stuff. im not sure how much of that is an indication of my actual claspect though lol

Apologies; you sent this months ago and I am only answering it now! I hope these thoughts of mine are still satisfactory to read about.
I feel as though Time's inverse, Space, is understood to be "creativity", and those who may not entirely understand what an aspect is meant to be tend to take its inverse's opposite. However, the "opposite of creativity" doesn't paint a very fun picture. While "creativity" isn't necessarily wrong for Space, I understand Space to be a journey, joy in the traveling. Time, therefore, would be an ending goal, the satisfaction of victory.
From The Extended Zodiac, I pulled these keywords from the Time Aspect description. These would be the "canon" traits; they are what I adhere to when analyzing, but it should also be understood that this concept encompasses much more to do with than these keywords. Its "vibe", if you will, is much more than what is written.
TEZ Time Keywords: Struggle, restless, action, goal-oriented, relentless, empathetic, problem-solvers, (ruthless, defensive, impulsive)
The keywords I chose to represent Time are "Repetition, Goals, Efficiency, Restlessness". This aspect, like all the other aspects, is inherently neutral. It is not good or bad, but has the potential to be either.
Time is about optimization. Timebound do not create new solutions; they use what they are given within the finite and refine it into the tools they use to achieve their goals. Their satisfaction comes from the end product of their labor, and they are not satisfied if they are not working towards something; anything can be a goal to work towards for the Timebound. If Space is an infinite destiny (a course of events within the present moment), then Time is a finite fate (the future outcome).
If it's not broke, don't fix it; an efficient method is a good method, and a good method is an efficient method. It is the nature of Time to stick to what it knows works well rather than attempt to figure out some other way of achieving the same goal. (Code, and the action of coding, is a good example of this.) This repetition of methods can certainly translate into a metronome of sorts; monotonous and keeping a beat. While music is the logical conclusion to draw from this, I could make a case that it is specifically rap that is Time's purest form of music, since it focuses on the rhythm of the words rather than singing a tone. At the very least, I would say each Timebound has their own rhythm and way of doing things that is simply what makes the most efficient sense for them to do. (Perhaps that is why Dave is so fixated on being ironic when he grew up under the care of a Prince of Heart...)
Dave is the poster child for all Timebound everywhere, of course. As the Knight of Time (Active Utilizer), Dave is extremely skilled with his aspect; since Time is about efficiency, Dave would be able to achieve a great deal of things in a very short amount of time. And he does! I would almost say that if he were any other class but a Knight, the beta kids probably would have crashed and burned hard. Meanwhile with Aradia, the Maid of Time (Passive Enhancer), she would rely on others for her aspect; this manifests in a few different ways. She documents the code on the frog temple for Sollux to then adapt into SGRUB. Ghosts are considered to linger behind after their deaths due to a state of unrest and "unfinished business", which is quite in line with the nature of Time. She relies on the destruction of alternate timelines to guide her choices, which ends up amassing an army of Aradiabots to passively help the trolls in their battle against the black king.

'No,' she sighs while she thinks... Just where can one begin to understand such a thing? An organic's brain isn't made for the comprehension of it, she's sure.
That every time pipes groan it is his veins stretching. Or that when she floats in his heart, the sound of its beats is strong enough to penetrate straight through her. Dammit, she has to wear a special suit just so her bones wouldn't shatter from a singular beat.
How can she properly grasp it, that he breathes only once a day- and just that is enough to rain destruction upon everything within his retaining walls. That he carries a whole city on his back- so small... almost unnoticed... Or that when she hides away in the shelters at his bases, it is akin to crawling underneath his skin?
It makes no sense for something that terrifyingly giant to exist. To live. Oh, why does it have to live just the same as her...?
Each component she understands. His blueprints are framed in the Mechanic's little house positioned near one of his more discreet entrances. The biggest blueprint takes up a whole wall, little notes made by her or the previous Mechanic scattered all over the detailings of his body.
Her fingertips trace over the white lines on the blue paper before bed, planning out a route for tomorrow- because oh it would take years to travel him whole unguided. One could so easily get lost within the mechanical organs, tangled in wires, strangled by accident in the tons upon tons of tightly knit cords- left as a corpse without a chance to be found in the less travelled recesses of him.
Palm in palm, she presses her hands against each other in hopeful prayer and in the anxiety the thought brings forward.
So small... so finite compared to him.
Sometimes when people want to disappear for a while from the little city- little? It holds thousands upon thousands of life like me- including her, they wander the dusty metal desert that makes up his backside. All the way to the edge of him, edge of the world that he represents- is... And then just stare over the clouds.
The more daring ones, more agile and capable, climb down a little ways- finding crannies in his skin that he'll never notice for purchase.
One time- while feeling terribly lonely and sad- she climbed as low as she dared. Just above the clouds. Some almost licked at her feet as they rolled around him- submitting to his presence like waves to boats. The clouds turned grey, his sirens blared below and she was scared. Not for herself, but for the childhood she spent living beneath him- for family still stuck there.
And she'd hide away in a crook in his panels- a fault she will once have to fix- tearing at the moss that somehow managed to make livelihood here. Waiting... for nothing.
Then he looked to her, red Overseer popping out of nowhere. The uncomprehensible, godly by its sheer size thing giving her maybe all of his attention. And she feels guilty, worming around his skin- hiding in it- like this.
Though he tells her: rather apologize for disappearing like that, for not answering the hails. As if the violation of his physique wasn't actually anything... It had been so weird, having him fuss over her like so. There's better things a fake god like him has to do.
'I love you. Can this be understood?' still stares at her from her watch, unanswered.
"I don't think it can...," she writes him, feeling sad, confused, intimidated.
"Oh..."
She rushes to reassure him. "I love you back anyway though. Don't worry, weirdo"

Yup! The Alpha timeline offers a novel solution to the problem of Sylladex capacity. If the Captcha index only needs to be consistent in the Alpha timeline, then it doesn't have to worry about reserving index space for every possible item.
If this is how things work, then the Sylladex isn't predestined, per se - it's enforced. Everyone has a finite set of objects that they're allowed to captchalogue, and if you pick up anything else, your index is invalidated - and your timeline is pruned.
You could still call it predestination, if you were so inclined, but that's only partially accurate. It's more that you're coerced into 'choosing' one particular destination - or else.

My best guess is that the drones would arrive when the troll is on the cusp of adulthood, shortly before they leave Alternia. That would give them as much time as possible to form potent relationships - which would, in turn, give the Empire the most potent wrigglers.
I still think it would motivate younger trolls, though. I mean, if all single people are executed at eighteen, you might feel a little pressure to enter the dating game early.

I'd always imagined Equius as being pretty tall. They're all the same height in sprite art though, so I think it's another case of sprite art being non-representative.
I'm withholding judgement on the Meowrails until we get more interactions between them. Their early conversations were a little worrying, but it's possible that Hussie hadn't fully fleshed out the concept of Moirallegiance at the time. We'll see how they interact now that how their quadrant works has been expanded on.

Thank you! I feel like this sort of analysis can only really be applied to fictional characters, though. Everything a character says or does is the result of a deliberate choice made by a writer, and I can use my knowledge of that fact to frame my analysis.
In real life, though, people just say shit - often for no reason, or for reasons they don't understand themselves. People are a lot more complicated than even the most well-written character, and understanding them requires a whole different skillset!

The language used here - the fact that she couldn't 'put up' with her transformation into a frog, and couldn't 'hang in there' - seems to imply that doing so harms her in some way.
All the frog symbolism is still a closed book to me. What exactly does Bilious Slick represent or symbolize that Derse hates so much?

If she can't, she's definitely phrasing things in a misleading way, trying to imply that she can. The Tavros scene is arguable, but I really can't think of any other way to interpret how she talks about the Consorts, unless she's straight up lying - and she really doesn't do that much.

You know it is really just hitting me how massively useful Todoroki’s quirk really is. It is not just a powerful offense but also a great defense. How is anyone supposed to knock him out of the ring?

BABY LETTUCE MAD. Never underestimate the garden salad. It is low-key insulting that Todoroki is distracted thinking about his daddy issues and not giving Deku recognition as an opponent.

Since there is a limit to how much cold Todoroki can take, and a limit on how many bones Deku can break (that rhymed, pfft) that makes this match a battle of endurance. Considering that there is a finite number of fingers for Deku to smash, it feels counter productive for him to egg Todoroki on right now.

Oh snap, what an accusation, but I can see why Todoroki would make that assumption. He doesn’t know our protag has pure motivations. From his point of view, it is confusing that Deku is encouraging him to use his fire.

My thoughts about the new messages part 3

I'm not sure I fully understand this. Many doubt many things. That's all I have on this right now.

Not sure if that is how I see this. To me my soul guides me if I let it guide me. I always had great intuition and that got even better. The question is what gave me that intuition? Was it a part of me? My infinite self? If my soul is just drifting around doing some other things then maybe I should try to guide it back to me?!
Not sure what he means. Let's say my soul, meaning my infinite self, is guiding me to new realms then. (I hate you Vessel....I mean I love you but you get it....right?!)

Who says that?! That part has my so confused. I'm scratching my head thinking who says stuff like that? Makes me think about the church that I live next to. What I found is a true connection to “God” or “the source of all being”. It's something that I can feel within me. Idk...I don't mean to sh*t on anyone who is religious. I respect that. It just wasn't for me. That's all.

Death can mean many things. Ego death or a part of you that no longer is. A new begging....I guess he means physical death though.

Not sure I'm fully getting this. Of course life and death still belong together. Being able to allow a great loss in your life in is important. You do that by not fighting against it but by accepting it. Of course this means that you are sad though..

Allspark Sam brainrot
The mentally ill transformer urge gripped me again.
Anyway, the idea involves the concept of Sam still having allspark energy dormant in him, that energy eventually needing to reformat its host yet adapt to the planet and era it’s now in and this changing Sam and Jazz reanimation being Sam's first allspark achievement.

this kinda happens after the first two movies but its whatever suits my narrative :p
The Autobots in have left earth with what remains of the physical cube allspark, this is more then the shard from the movies but idc to think about it to much. It’s enough to give off allspark energy and the autobots just hope the Decepticons follow it back with them. They don’t. Megatron knows what remains of Cybertron is useless and frail remnants and what Allspark power does remain is finite and probably just had deleted records. So they stay on earth and start integrating humanities world powers into controllable forces. They can’t say “conquering” because then humans become violently resistant so Megatron relies on a slow methodical take over that humans just think is all under control by their side. (It’s not)
By this point the autobots had practically ghosted Samuel for two years before departure so he’s pretty much just dealing with the embers of having your life ruined, hobbled back together with help and then those who helped hobble something together again abandon you. But Sam would swear he understood what Optimus did. Logic and all that he can’t comprehend as a human and stuff, and Bee always told Sam it was his pride how well he ha stayed by primes side through it all, no merger human lifetime would make a difference. Sam is on a long drive cross country to once again move location, he doesn’t want to know what could happen if he’s put in the hands of any government with his acute sense of paranoia that all government one way or another is being overseen by Megatron. And Megatron has a long history of holding grudges.
what is relevant is that Sam is in a confined space.
Because abruptly energy rapidly starts generating inside him. Ancient energy older the earth, uses Samuel Witwicky as an anchor across time and space to reforge. Due to Sam being in a confided space the energy is forced to reforge and reformat with Sam within the car, using the anchors understanding of mass and the fact he does know what a cybertronian is and has the idea of what they look like Sam is transformed into a bot. larger then a human but stunted and smaller then what could be expected of that much raw constructive energy.
Sam is left travelling across earth, in a weird haze of dissociation and vividly living through the archived history in the allspark, settling down once again. Sam has no idea how to transform or what allspark transformation should look like so he's left footing it from both humans and Decepticons trying to come to terms that there is no help but every element of his anatomy now screams about running now the allspark is able of independent moving, with very little ability to tell the difference from anything approaching him.
Stuck exploring history and what's real and what has been Sam decides to chase a ghost he knows himself and finds the deserted base Jazz's remains. Well he hoped the remains were there, never told exactly where they were hope is all Sam has to chase. He's lucky because Jazz is there, dead and ripped apart but its the closest Sam has been to anything familiar in 3 years. The raw power and emotionally driven energy the allsamspark releases seeks out beyond space and reaches into the well and grabs onto that familiar feeling of Jazz Sams memories can generate and reforge and reignite Jazz's body and spark.
Jazz is feels just as lost as Sam has been upon resurrection. And its obvious Sam realizes the hell his woken Jazz back to. But as they get away from Jazz's old tomb, and Jazz travels with Sam and comes to a few thoughts
the goal was always find and keep the allspark outta the wrong hands, so keeping an eye on mr AllsparkWicky (Jazz takes to coming up with and using nicknames for Sam, seems to help him feel a little more like a self then a nexus point of energy and get something of a smile on his faceplates) is generally the logical thing to do and also feels like the right thing to do.
SparkSam spends a lot of time lost to things Jazz can only imagine and a regular bot would probably feel awed to be watching the Allspark observe anything Jazz can almost feel the turmoil it makes Sam feel in his own spark.
If no autobots are coming back hes glad Spam has an the ability to run like a bat outta hell and doesnt feel the need to run from Jazz
unknowingly to Sam and Jazz, the bat outta hell instinct not being triggered because the allspark energy took the choosing of Jazz to respark as quota enough to run the allspark guardian protocol. A spark he now knowingly trusts to guide and help protect him . And that now Jazz is marked to the spark as a guardian of the new allspark. Visually indicated by a new set of guardian sigils only Sam could ever truly decode and understand.
the idea that the Allspark has its own language and system code, that the matrix and prime are given a cypher code to understand to some degree. And Sam as a reformat of the Allspark has created a new codex.
i have a bunch of more ideas and things i wanna think about so maybe ill write more, nice to just get the basics outta my head

After watching Unmortricken, here's what I think
I think that Ricks hinge on one factor that forms The Central Finite Curve
Evil Morty obviously broke out of that curve
And there's a mention of vengeful Summers...
I think the hierarchy leads to her because no matter what, a Rick and a Morty are defined by their relationship to one another - even outside of the curve. If she binds the family together, it's safe to assume that the collective force of every single Summer will keep ANY iteration of the family together. Even Summer Prime achieved this, Summer does well in situations that center around her family
Can you imagine a character that reminds Rick of the love of his life he lost every time?
And a sister to Morty at the same time?
Who has more fire in her heart than him and the level nature that Morty carries that Rick loves to gush over?
And values family highly?
It would create enough Summers to be weeded out until a council was able to form

What you're looking at right now is a Summer who is so valued by her family that they instantly go to her. She uses all of her intelligence and power to do anything. You're not looking at an evil Summer, this is a loved Summer
Now imagine multiple of THOSE who can dismantle Rick and make Morty an afterthought. Who would hate to see someone so disconnected from their family that they'd do something to fix it - either because a Rick told them or they decided to do it
And tell me if it makes sense that Morty fears this idea.
You should also fear even just one vengeful Summer
